If there's one thing I hate about writing a post it's doing the colour coding it's so tedious

[snipped tag] Only immediate thing i have to do is Bailey meeting Simm for a training montage and then i'm all good to go for that.
Also, i'm writing up the Lantern character sheet now. I'm hoping for Hal and Sinestro to maybe make an appearance... And if there's time enough to introduce Dex-Starr, i kinda want him to show up In a dapper lil' tux.

@Cyrania I'd have rather we had hashed out the potential Gala date before you posted IC content, I know we had briefly touched on it but it hadn't went anywhere.
Also Harry isn't young and prone to puppy love he's in his 30s, same as Peter

His Military career was jeopardized, unfortunately when he received word from Jack. His mother had died from Cancer while he was away in Okinawa for some additional training for a top secret mission. This was exacerbated when during the mission, one of his superiors ignored his advise on a mission call, getting 3 pilots killed. When Hal got back to base, he put said superior in hospital and he spent a month in the brig. He couldn't be brought up on formal charges due to the need for secrecy surrounding the mission, but he was given 2 options. 1) Resign with full honours and military pension. 2) Be put on desk duty for the rest of his contract. P L O T ( S ) & G O A L ( S ) P L O T ( S ) & G O A L ( S ) I've always loved the Lantern mythos. Hal is a great character. I mean, he managed to bounce back after the terrible, terrible, terrible Paralax storyline. I also have always been a fan of Tokusatsu style teams of colour-coded heroes and i'll admit that that has probably leaked into here. The basic premise of the plot is that one of each of the Power Rings, Red, Orange, Indigo, Star Sapphire, Grey and Blue have been scattered across the planet and Hal and Sinestro are hunting them down as part of a small S.W.O.R.D. taskforce, not too dissimilar to the Agents of S.W.O.R.D. show. The Rings, being sentient, will be attempting to latch onto anyone who feels their associated emotion the strongest and makes them wig out based on their emotion. All the while, they will also be hunting down true Champions of their emotional spectrum, so the cast will grow as the story progresses. I think that this premise alone can lead to some fun interaction with other players and their characters. As rogue Lantern Rings invading their stories could latch onto someone and make for a fun team-up. Or even if they just want to use it by themselves, if think this will add a nice bit of interaction to the world. The story will culminate in a "Final Show-Down" with "Evil Villain who wants the Rings for himself" Currently, i'm thinking that role will be filled by Despero. I feel that he is a great balance of Power and Intimidation. Someone with the will to slaughter the entire planet, but lacking the power to do so with just a snap of his fingers like Darkseid or Thanos. But most importantly, i really like the idea exploring Hal and Sinestro's relationship. They are supposed to have a mentor and student relationship, but we never get to see it for more than brief glimpses. Yes, Sinestro is a villain in this, but i really want to tell a story that makes you like Sinestro, makes you see him in a likeable, positive light... Because then it's so much more heartbreaking when the villain is revealed for what he is, the great betrayer who used everyone and everything around him. But the main point is that the relationship between Hal and Sinestro is the very core of this and if nothing else, i love exploring their dynamic. S.W.O.R.D.'s inclusion in the sheet is mostly because, well, it makes the most sense for their Dragonball style search for the scattered Rings to be under their jurisdiction. ◼ CURSE OF THE THIRTEEN
A fact Terrance actively denies, Terrance is destined to be killed by magical means. Every member of the the Thirteen family has met their end by the hands, claws or non-corporeal graspers of the supernatural. The only benefit of this fact is a subconscious belief that no mundane force can kill Terrance and for such a skeptic of the truly supernatural, Terrance shows unparalleled bravery in the face of almost all danger.

◼ QUARK MEDIAN DISTURBANCE METER
A staple of Terrance's arsenal, the Qu.M.D.M. is a long, two pronged rod with a belt mounted power source capable of measuring possible disturbances in reality. It's not always accurate and can't detect every form of the supernatural but it works good enough for the jobs Terrance does.
◼ The Ghost Breaker
A black 1978 Dodge Tradesman adorned with a portable chemistry lab, larger Qu.M.D.M., and the rest of Thirteen's usual arsenal. The most striking features of van is the heavy duty tires, light bar and beautiful air-brushing of a wizard on the side door, completed with a large 'X' through it.

◼ TOP 30 INTELLECT
Terrance isn't stupid, he knows he's not the smartest man on the planet, hell he'd probably not even in the top ten. With his multitude of proficiencies including (but not limited to) parapsychology, mechanical and chemical engineering, occultism and business, Terrance doesn't think it's too out of the realm of believability that he'd in the top 30 of the smartest men on Earth.

T H E S T O R Y S O F A R..."Call a priest for a possession. Call Dr.13 to prove it's not."
December 24th, 1:13 am- an 8 year old Terrance Thirteen creeps down from his bedroom to try and catch a glimpse of Santa Claus. Instead young Terrance spied his own father laying out a large selection of wrapped gifts. The young Terrance was confused at first, watching his dad finish up and quickly scurry back to his room before being seen. The next day Terrance looked on in horror at the very presents his dad had left marked with “From: Santa”. To make matters worse the first gift Terrance opened that morning was an amateur magic kit.
It’s hard being a skeptic in a world where wizards are on every corner but Terrance persists. He spends his days running his occult-themed bookstore, and his nights moonlighting as a paranormal investigator, putting his multi-faceted genius to work either debunking paranormal claims or solving them through scientific means. Being so dedicated to his craft doesn't leave much room (or want) for a social life and the only people he really speaks to are the patrons at his local pub and a bartender, Traci, who's always got a kind word and a drink on the house for the shut in.
Drinking, working and tinkering has encapsulated the majority of Terrance's adult life, finding a content monotony in it. Things are looking like they're changing though. Higher than normal Psycho-graph readings, more calls for help and a greater uptick in pizza deliveries to local Secret Societies hide outs spells that something big is on the horizon and Terrance is blindly looking it straight on.________________________________________________________________________________________P L O T ( S ) & G O A L ( S )
P L O T ( S ) & G O A L ( S )Dr.Thirteen's always been on my radar but I never really started liking him until reading All-Star Western in High School. I liked him for the same reason I liked Ghostbusters; funny guy using science to fight the supernatural. Since then my love of ghost and ghouls has grown and writing a monster-of-the-week type story sounds like a lot of fun. With Terrance's story I want to keep the story structure mostly self contained with lil' tidbits building towards a bigger plot involving Traci Thirteen and a larger, supernatural threat.
I plan on mostly keeping Terrance local in Hub City but making the occasional trip around the country for a fun road trip or to interact with other PCs. Everything I've got planned for the story is pretty loose right now but I'm shooting for a bit darker Ghostbuster's feel; more tangible threats but still with some slapstick levity (if I can pull it off).

@Half Pint@Cyrania@Ezekiel Not sure if you want to use Ronan in your story, i didn't see him mentioned anywhere, but i'm happy to change it to a different threat if that's a problem. I just feel that he has that correct amount of threat surrounding him. To be honest, i'd have loved to use Mongul (Especially with them having pushed him as a Lantern Villain back in Rebirth.) But Wraith got there first and that's fair. The Lantnerns

The story will culminate in a "Final Show-Down" with "Evil Villain who wants the Rings for himself" Currently, i'm thinking that role will be filled with Ronan the Accuser, who wants to use the Rings to retake the Kree Empire after they committed the unforgivable sin of "Declaring peace with another empire without the Accuser Corps permission." but this is open to change if other players have use for that character, or it doesn't fit their narrative. But i feel Ronan is the perfect balance of Power and Intimidation. Someone with the will to slaughter the entire planet, but lacking the power to do so with just a snap of his fingers like Darkseid or Thanos.

I have 2-3 Emma Frost posts before I'm going to start the Gala. Closer to 2 but we'll see how wordy I'm getting.
For those who have a player attending, let me know how many posts you need for your own character before they're ready so I can pace accordingly if I need to. If everyone is just waiting on me to drop the party, well, it's coming soon 🙌
@Ezekiel Would it work better if i said that he essentially wants to turn the Accurser Corps into a new Lantern Corp specifically dedicated to the Justice of the Kree Empire, but he is alone in this endeavour as the rest of the Accusers don't want to kick the Lantern hornet-nest. I just want an excuse for him to come by himself, rather than the entire armada showing up around Earth, because that would definitely cause problems for everyone.
So, not Exiled, just the entire rest of the Accuser Corp just like "Ok, you wanna do that, it's on your head. You go, buddy."
Any comments on Kree don't matter to me. They're part of a plot I'm doing for the GMs so it's upto them.
My bugger question is why have SHIELD be involved when multiple people have established SWORD in the RP?
