Two scientists, desperate to save their only son, placed him inside a rocket. The Last Son of Krypton took to the stars- amless, wandering, guided only by the winds of fate. Fate sent that rocket crashing into a field in the middle of nowhere. Two bewildered farmers found a crying babe within. They embraced this alien child from the stars as their own. Raised him to be compassionate, honest, and just. As he grew into adolescence, Clark Kent discovered the power of the sun flowing in his veins. He wasn't sure what to do with it yet. Even at twelve years old, he crushed steel if he squeezed too hard. Trying to jump up to the kitchen counter sent him through the ceiling and into his bedroom. Once, he ran so fast down the highway he couldn't stop- exploded straight through the guard rail, two trees and Thomas Lang's tractor. Everything he could do frightened him to his core. Finding the rocket and the message from his birth parents changed everything. Ma and Pa encouraged Clark to embrace who he was, to dispense with his fear and harnass what he was capable of to the benefit of others. Clark started by helping his neighbors. Smallville was the safest town in the world until Clark graduated high school and left for college in the big city. Metropolis was a wholly different animal to Smallville. Here, Clark had to contend with more than highwaymen and natural disasters. Metropolis had super intelligent albino gorillas and mechanized war machines shaped like children's toys. It had a couple million residents crying out for hope as billionaires bought up their neighborhoods, polluted their water and smuggled extraterrestrial rayguns into their streets. Metropolis was where Clark Kent, the superpowered, well-meaning if terribly clumsy teenager, became SUPERMAN. This is Clark's second year wearing the cape. He's tangled with a number of rogues, such as the previously mentioned Ultra-Humanite and Toyman. It hasn't been exactly easy for him, but the Man of Steel will soon find there are some problems he can't solve with his fists and a hopeful smile. The mayor of Metropolis just unveiled a new task force for dealing with the 'metahuman problem' plaguing their fair city: the Legion of Justice, a semi-independent law enforcement initiative sponsored and equipped by none other than LexCorp. Armed with highly advanced weapons and lab-grown superpowers, Lex Luthor's very own Legion will all but replace Metropolis's need for Superman. I've loved him since I was yay high and watched him kick ass in his animated series. To me, he's the quintessential superhero. He inspires people to stand up for themselves and fight for a better tomorrow. He is hope for a brighter future personified. His drive for truth, justice and dignity for all are core parts of his character I want to emphasize that in my writing. Moreover, the way Superman affects the people around him is just as pivotal. I want to portray the people of Metropolis as a living, breathing society, and explore how the existence of someone like Superman changes their everyday lives. The Legion of Justice will introduce Superman's greatest archenemy, Lex Luthor, in a slightly different light. Lex is the proud sponsor of Metropolis's newest superhero team. Acting with the confidence of the mayor and full legal authority, The Legion is meant as a test launch for Luthor's real project: PlanetWatch (name pending for more focus group testing), a global hero initiative to replace the 'anarchy' of vigilantism with profit-driven, metric-orientated crime fighting.

His fit is simply emaculate. He’s a charismatic leader, a capable fighter, a lovable screw-up, and has that ‘space pirate swagger’ down to a tee. He’s like the Cyclops/Captain America of space, managing a ragtag group that desperately needs some leadership. My version of Star-lord focuses more on the Ravager side of his story. He never formed the Guardians and never became the galaxy’s celebrated war hero. He’s a space pirate through and through, earning his own brand of infamy. Peter is convinced the Lanterns, the Kree Empire, and Nova Corps are always on his tail, but really, they just see him as a cosmic annoyance, like a Jack Sparrow-esque type of wanted. What inspires me to do this is Natty’s Ben 10 run, realizing there’s so much fun and possibility in the vast space and the cosmic area, tiptoeing through the characters he's already used and working around from there. Where Natty’s Ben 10 run is all about universe-shaking villains and apocalyptic stakes, Peter Quill and the Ravagers are on that grindset ON GETTING PAID; Taking dangerous jobs that lesser bounty hunters would decline due to occupational hazards. Space fuel doesn’t come cheap, ya know! His backstory stays the same. origins [+] Peter is the son of J'Son of Spartax and the Earth woman Meredith Quill. Living on Earth, Peter's mother was killed by the Badoon because they wished to destroy J'Son's lineage. Peter survived by finding his father's element gun, which many believed was a simple toy, and kept it through the orphanages and foster homes he went through. His new motivation for space travel is to protect Earth from the Badoon. Given a job by his mother's friend, Lisa Chang, Peter got close enough to NASA to eventually steal a Kree vessel, discover how to operate it, and leave for space. He was stranded, eventually met Yondu and the Ravagers, and convinced them to let him join their pirate crew. But this time, Star-Lord’s own crew boots him out to the far edge of the galaxy, stranding him on Genna —a wild, prehistoric planet where every creature wants a bite of you. Peter learned to survive and adapt and eventually escape this planet, becoming a hunter and adopting the mentality of the alien race known as the Yautjas. Star-lord’s adventures are a simple monster of the week formula: Whenever there’s a worthy beast or a Xenomorph nest in the galaxy, you can be sure the new ravagers are on the hunt. Armed with his elemental gun, Yautja hunting gadgets, jetboots, his wild Ravager crew, and a ferocious cat named Dex-Starr, the galaxy is his playground—and every notorious alien is fair game. Star-Lord, who? The legendary outlaw? You better believe it! Intergalactic space adventures and sci-fi stuff are fun. With the introduction of Kryptonians, Thanagars, Viltramites, Lanterns, Rangers, and the like. I wanna get a piece of that action as Star-Lord. Detoxing myself from the gritty street-level world I’m comfortable with and just wanna blast some extraterrestrial life and do some space heist. The plot revolves around space exploration, some hijinks, and quick schemes to get rich in the most piratey way possible, as wacky adventures issues. The ravagers' main antagonist will be the Xenomorph and the Weyland-Yutani Corporation. Their biggest enemy isn’t a mad titan, the ever-changing heralds of the Eater of worlds, or a reality-breaking cosmic force. No, it’s themselves, constant betrayal and mutiny like it's the norm —always biting off more than they can chew and tripping over their own greedy plans. That’s the price Star-Lord pays for wrangling the galaxy’s most chaotic crew. This will be my roaming and more collab-friendly char. From wanted earth-bound street thugs to those nasty extraterrestrial lifeforms, Star-Lord and the gang are bound to show up(for a price).

C H A R A C T E R C O N C E P T C H A R A C T E R C O N C E P T ___________________________________________________________________________________ Okay so I have been waffling on several ideas for the past two months watching this. Due to lack of time and motivation, there wasn't really anything that stood out. There were some ideas that had promise but my motivation fizzled out. What it did provide me was a lot of initial exploring into various comics. Thanks to a suggestion, I found the Dark Horse universe and I kind of remember watching the Hellboy movie one time but at the time I ultimately didn't want to play as Hellboy or Liz. The idea to run something with that occult was abandoned and I thought something else would take its place. Enter my discovery of my favorite manga artist and his new series: Choujin X. I have been obsessed this month reading from start to finish and I've finally caught up to where it is presently. It is an absolute favorite of mine right now but I have nothing to channel that energy and passion towards until today. I realized I could make something work out of this. If manga material is conditionally approved then I think I can fit what I am passionate about with an established comic and make it work. The Dark Horse comics, specifically focused on the Bureau of Paranormal Defense, is a fairly close approximate to the vibes in Choujin X. Beastial figures and strange eldritch entries come to life inspiring often occult followings is often present in Hellboy it seems. Choujins have their own mythology but are often depicted as beastial or eldritch in nature. They can be absolute monsters and something like that I feel like I can blend. So in this iteration, Choujin become paranormal awakenings to those that have close calls with death. They are forms influenced by belief and obsession to become something that isn't entirely human anymore. Not everyone can become a Choujin and not all near death experiences can potentially create a Choujin. It is something primal in humanity's belief that creates them. I'm going to lean on something that fits that description to create antagonists and investigations initially. Cryptids and urban legends are a breeding ground of belief and monsters that are very Choujin-like that sometimes get a cultlike following. I'll just dial that up to have epic fights and spooky encounters. Eventually more abstract concepts like Justice could be some Choujin-like monster but hunting and fighting cryptids in fight is an easy entry. I suspect not many people know about Choujin X so you'll have to trust me a little to establish them. They were people, can look like people, but have powers based around a core concept. A Moth Choujin would be a bestial Choujin, capable of partial beastification with wings to fly or compound eyes to see or could go full beastification to become the exact depiction of the West Virginia Mothman. All Choujin have enhanced physical characteristics and gain some classification of powers that a something like a moth could have. Choujin have the ability to Raise themselves just before death to come back stronger but at a long term cost, sanity being one. There is also a limit on Raise but that's getting into the weeds. Hopefully you have an impression of what I'm going for. Arulu will be boxing against cryptids basically. Some occult stuff and how Choujin are starting to show up will be revealed in due time. P L O T ( S ) & G O A L ( S ) P L O T ( S ) & G O A L ( S ) __________________________________________________________________________________ Arulu's first arc will be focused on me establishing how this story fits into the universe at large. What are Choujin, their limits, abilities, and how the BFPD operates. Arulu is playing the rookie and will be introduced to this alongside you, the reader, so that the details will be explained as the plot develops. It'll be set in Japan, segregated from others for the time being to lay out the stakes. After that I see Arulu being moved the States to fight the cryptid Choujin of North America which can certainly involve others as horror stories of monstrous people spread about. Mothman, Big Foot, Jersey Devil... I have a few plans for some rather harrowing encounters. The distant future might just involve the more occult and even Dark Horse entities like Hellboy but I'm not that far ahead. I want to figure out the writing and tone first.
