Glyph the Flygon and Devon the Totodile
[Folio Town - Glyph's Guild]

@Ninian@Shiny Keldeo
The support that was offered by everyone was truly touching. Even if they had just met that day, they still offered to risk their lives for him. Devon turned back around to face his new friends with an expression of awe slacking his jaw. "Guys...." A happy smile upturned his maw. "Ember, Selena, Lilisette, Lance, Mirfah, thank you, you're the best! With all of us working together, there's no way we can lose!"

The large following in support of Devon caused the old Guildmaster to smile, closing the book on his desk as he put his hands behind his back and look down at the group. A split second flick of his eyes in Lilisette's direction before the returned to everyone. "That partner that I was to assign to Devon would merely be one of the many allies that he will gain along his quest. Many times the summoned human forms an entire team of followers to assist them. And it seems that Devon has already done just that." Another scan of the Pokémon in the room caused a familiar excitement to surge through Glyph like a rushing river. Though, he kept himself composed while letting of a bit of a chuckle. "You are all welcome to join the Folio Guild, and from this moment forward as it's master, I deem you all members. One moment please."

Spinning around on one round foot, the Flygon walked around to the back of the room. A few small shelves and dressers loaded with even more nick knacks and books squishing a large wood chest with an odd metal lock on it. As Glyph crouched down to fiddle with the lock, Devon leaned in and grinned to the other three recruits. "Well that was alot easier than I thought it would be huh?"

"Ah, here we are." Coming back to the ground and couching down with left arm curved in front of him, Glyph now held six brown messenger bags along it. Two of them were somewhat larger than the other four, a glittering golden oak tree badge was pinned to the flap of each bag. "These are your official Folio Guild Treasure Bags, filled with many useful items such as a notepad for keeping track of active missions, quill, an ink bottle, two Escape Orbs, a coin purse with two hundred Poké for supplies, a water canteen, a map of the Sand Continent, and a few fresh apples and Oran berries that I collected from my sister's garden just this morning."

As the party collected their bags, Glyph would give a proud smile. "Though not as glamorous as the equipment used by say the Expedition Society, these supplies should serve you all quite well during your travels."

It seemed like the less glamorous supplies didn't bother Devon. Taking one of the smaller bags that actually fit properly around his small frame, he threw the bag around his shoulder and inspected the shiny badge attached to the flap with his large brown eyes. "It's ok Glyph! These'll work great! Thanks!"

A soft chuckle escaped the dragon as he stood back to his full height and cleared his throat. "You're all welcome. Now, for your first task. It is a simple one but none the less important. I want you all to head into town and find a Poliwrath by the name of Brick. He'll be your combat teacher, and will be able to teach you everything on how to survive an encounter with hostiles. For now, I would like you all to avoid any and all combat until you receive his training. If you happen to take notice of any illegal activity, or find a Gardevoir with wings, report it to the nearest Guild member immediately." A more stern expression washed over the Guildmaster's face as he stared into the eyes of the fresh meat. "Are we clear?"

Standing stiff, Devon nodded up at the large green mon. "Yup. I-I uh mean, yes sir." Spinning around and putting his hands on his hips, he looked around at the rest of the newly made Guild members. "You guys good to go?"

Selena the Bayleaf and Ember the Quilava
[Folio Town - Glyph's Guild]

@Ninian @Light Lord
Glyph seemed to fully understand their position, and let them all join the Guild and work with Devon. He started getting into the specifics, handing them the necessary supplies that they would need. Selena slipped one of the larger bags around her neck, letting it drape to her side. "Wow, perfect fit!" She said happily. Ember took one of the bags but didn't put it on, just setting it at her side. "The supplies and badge I'll use, but I've got a more personal bag to put them in." She said, looking at the brown bag.

Then Glyph mentioned something that made Selena frown: Training. "Training? I guess... well, they might need it. I may not look it, but my dad made sure I was trained to defend myself in case I ever had to go through the Trunk. But... I stopped a month ago after I evolved, I just had it with battling and fighting. But I guess you can't really escape that..." Ember looked at the Bayleaf. She was right, by all appearances she didn't look like she could put up a fight against a Poliwag. Best not to judge books by their covers though. "Yeah, some training would be nice. As much as I've wanted to join, I've never had much experience with battling."

They looked to the Totodile now. "Ready when you are..." Said Selena, nodding nervously. "Lead the way!" Said Ember, ready to get started.

Gren

Location: Folio Trunk - Town Path Floor 8
Activity: Walking into the Trunk

Looking down, Gren didn't want to answer all these questions. He was afraid that if he was honest that they would all turn back and he'd lose time. True, the pokemon who lived down there likely could take care of themselves. But Gren didn't know that. He didn't know anything. And he didn't like the idea of just sitting around waiting for the answer to come to him. But that's why he's a bit stupid. He turned to Letho to answer his question first. "A friend of mines told me. Her name is Seraph. She said there was a pokemon down there as smart as the Sybil, but I won't need a special meeting to find them. I... I don't even know what sort of pokemon they are. I just sorta figured we'd go down there and ask any pokemon that won't fight us...." The more he spoke the more Gren felt like he just needed to go. He knew if he stayed too long, if he said too much, that the other pokemon would stop him knowing that he was going to leave with or without them. Gren walked towards the stairs, ready to roll out if he needed to.

Letho the Sableye
[Folio's Trunk - Town Path F8→Town Path F7]

@Shiny Keldeo@Lucius Cypher@Ninian
A suspicious expression came over the Sableye as he looked down at the little Aron. "A friend told you this?..." Sighing, he turned his head back to the path in front of him as he followed Fuse towards the stairs. "Let's hope their source was a good one then. And if we wanna ask another Pokémon on the way there, our best bet would be to stop and talk to some here in the Town Path. Cause once we pass that Waypoint into the Roots.....The Pokémon there are alot more....Punchy then chatty. Just keep your heads up guys and we'll be golden."

Lilisette the Kirlia
[Folio Town - Glyph's Guild]

@Light Lord@Shiny Keldeo
Taking the offered supplies, the Kirlia's eyes widened and lit up. "W-Wow, I ... I hadn't expected this." Staring at it slack-jawed she thought to herself, This is so nice of him. I came here with absolutely squat. I would've been left high and dry probably... It took a few moments for her to regain her composure, but her gaze fixed to Glyph and she gave him a quick bow, "Thank you! Thank you so much... this will help. A lot."

Looking to her new companions, a wide smile crossed her lips, "So we're all a part of Glyph's Guild now! That's so cool. Looking back to Glyph, Lilisette responded to his question, "And um, yup! Crystal clear!"

Turning back to Devon, Lilisette spoke, "I'm totally good to go; I can't really think of anything else to say or do here. We should probably train up. I mean, like Selena, my mom trained me pretty good too. Still though, extra training wouldn't hurt, and Devon, you probably haven't even tried to use a Water Gun, huh?" Looking the Totodile over, she laughed somewhat before continuing, "This'll be fun to watch, to be honest."

With a nod of agreement to Ember, she addressed Devon, "Yup! Lead the way Mr. hasn'tevenbeenherebefore! I mean, Selena and Ember could lead, but making you do it sounds a lot more amusing. Plus you're technically the leader anyway, right?"

Karaha the Umbreon
[Folio's Trunk - Town Path F7]

@Light Lord@Shiny Keldeo@Lucius Cypher
Passing onto the next floor, Karaha remained quiet as the others discussed the situation amongst themselves. The Umbreon was far too aware of the dangers, but was also aware of very few Pokémon past the Waypoint who would speak to an outsider. However, there were a few.

Letting out a sigh, Karaha finally put in a few words regarding the situation, "It's... been a while, but I do believe there's a secret base halfway through the deeper dungeon. If Gren is fortunate, the one he seeks will be there. However..." Letting out a soft groan, he'd continue, "Under no circumstance should you reach Basement Floor 14. Granted, if your search leads you to Xicu... I... I-I do not know what to say."

Breeze the Shaymin and Fuse the Luxio
[Folio Trunk - Town Path F7]

@Ninian @Light Lord @Lucius Cypher
Continuing after the group, the two heard Karaha mention someone named Xicu. "Who's that? I'm guessing someone not so friendly..." Said Breeze questioningly. Fuse scratched his head. "I've heard the name from Glyph, before, but he never really explained who it was. But, we shouldn't have to worry about heading down that deep. Glyph usually restricts the Guild Members to BF8 and no deeper, just to keep on the safe side. Can't say I blame him either." He replied.

Breeze breathed a sigh of relief, but then looked to Gren. "So, we have a limit. If we don't find what you're looking for before BF8, we're turning back." Fuse nodded. "It would be for the best, anyways. You do have a point, that we'd have to come down here anyways to stop whatever's going on. But, that would be the Guild's job, it shouldn't include, well, civilians like you." He admitted. Truthfully, Fuse knew that they would eventually be going down there, down to the usually forbidden depths of the Trunk. It was just a matter of when...

Mirfah and Lance

Town: Folio Town
Location: Glyph's Guild

@Light Lord@Ninian@Shiny Keldeo

Lance and Mirfah had both accepted the task and joined the others. Lance was really excited about all the adventure, while Mirfah stood a little quiet, yet he smiled at moments that seemed reasonable to. "Dude, we're going to rock out into the world! It's going to be, like, best days we've ever lived! I mean, I didn't paid much attention to whatever Mr. Glyph was saying, but we're just gonna have some good, ol' fun!" he commented, while checking the supplies that were given to them. In the meanwhile, all that Mirfah did was reminisce the last time he spen with his brother.

Brother... I will find you. No matter what everyone will say about it, I will find you! Mirfah thought.

Gren

Location: Folio Trunk - Floor 7
Activity: Walking through the Trunk

Gren kept quiet as everyone tried to give him encouragement and warnings. But all he was hearing were pokemon who wanted him to give up on his quest. Yes, he was going off very little information. Yes, the Trunk is insanely dangerous. Yes, Gren doesn't even know where to begin looking. But it wasn't as if he didn't start with no lead already. The only thing his parents may have left behind was the strange marble, and no one knows what it is or what it does. At the very least, someone here in the Trunk would. And if Gren had to brave into the very depths to find his answer... That's what he'd do.

But putting those thoughts aside, Gren kept his senses sharp. he took in a deep breath and kept his nose in the air. He was trying to smell for other rock and steel types, things like geodudes and such. Most don't really bother him, but a few are territorial. Fighting types were the ones he was looking out for. They usually aren't subtle, but if Gren's experience with the ones on the surface were any indication, they liked to travel in groups. If they were large enough they may even attack this one, despite how much stronger everyone was. Of course, Gren has rarely ever gone into the trunk, at least intentionally, so he has no idea what to expect here. But he kept his nose sharp just in case.

Glyph the Flygon and Devon the Totodile
[Folio Town - Glyph's Guild]

@Ninian@Shiny Keldeo@MagusDream
Lilisette's playful taunting caused Devon to narrow his eyes at the Kirlia and smirked. "What, you think I can't do it? It's just Water Gun. How hard can it be?" he said with a shrug.

Everyone had agreed to get going now, and it seemed like they had elected the Totodile himself as leader. The small reptile grinned at their choice, that is until Lilisette pointed out the obvious. Only causing him to grin wider as he walked past the Psychic and flicked her shoulder. "My sense of direction is great! We'll find that Brick guy in no time. And hey," Spinning around once he stepped out the now open door into the hallway, the Water-type put his claws on his hips to wink Lilisette. "Since you're soooo confident in me, you can be my test dummy when I practice Water Gun Lilisette."

A detested sigh escaped Glyph's lips at Lance's selective hearing. Oh Lance....I'll need to assist him with his attention issues sometime later.... Taking a moment to cough into his fist, the Flygon went for another drawer in his desk. "Well, now that you all have your objective, if they are no more questions, I must take my leave as well. I'll be off visiting Robel at Rhys' clinic, and if permitted I may have a conference with the Sibyl." The old Guildmaster took from the desk a plush round cap, which after a few shakes he let rest atop his head. A friendly smile was directed towards the new members. "Good luck everyone. If you need any further assistance, Axton, Duster, and Toren will be here at the Guild for the rest of the day attending to their chores. As well, Pyrrha's famous dance troupe will be coming to the Town Square this afternoon. I highly recommend watching their show when you have the time, but do not forget your training!"

Letho the Sableye
[Folio's Trunk - Town Path F7]

@Shiny Keldeo@Lucius Cypher@Ninian
Xicu. The mention of that name caused Letho's cold body to drop a few more degrees. His head unnaturally twisted behind him once again to set the sights of his wide diamond eyes on the party. "That's cause even the Guildmaster knows not to screw with that thing! I sure hope we ain't going that deep, other than Xicu, I don't even think anyone lives down there."

Head twisting back to face that narrow path in front of them with a sickening crack, the Sableye let out a puff of wind. "I say we just keep doing what we're doing, go down into the Roots, and cover every inch of each floor before fourteen. If we don't find this guy you're looking for Gren, then we bail. Sure it'll still be dangerous, but that's what being a Guildie is all about. Living life on the edge. Beating up criminals, exploring dangerous dungeons, and occasionally doing boring chores! It's the life I tell ya." The mon said, nonchalant smile returning to brighten up the dark and stuffy cavern.

Karaha the Umbreon
[Folio's Trunk - Town Path F7]

@Light Lord@Shiny Keldeo@Lucius Cypher
"....Since you are not quite aware, I'll inform you about the so-called deity who resides at the base of the trunk; Xicu the Manifest. To those who live in the depths of the trunk, she is an object of worship in addition to being their leader. She is, in fact, much like our own Sibyl, in that she can see into the future." Padding onward, the blue-ringed Umbreon looked around the immediate area, seeing not much in the way of threats. Even for this particular path, it was unusually quiet. Worry furrowed his brow.

"Xicu's voice is said to be beautiful; so beautiful, many claim that she must be immortal, or perhaps a reincarnation of a god. There are many speculations, in fact, but I doubt there is any truth to these words." His amber eyes focused on Gren, "...Regardless, those in the trunk believe that their leader is in fact a deity, and that makes them very, very dangerous. They believe in her. They believe what they are doing—what she tells them to do—is the decree of a goddess."

Hanging his head, a soft sigh escaped his maw. "Once upon a time, when I was much younger, Xicu lived in Folio, proper. It was said she was rescued from the depths of the trunk by an adventurer. However, she fled after a few years. I cannot say I know why. Regardless, she is highly dangerous."

Gaze shifting to Letho, he considered the Sableye's words. "Are you certain you wish to go that far? As Fuse mentioned, after BF8, it becomes incredibly dangerous. Xicu's most loyal adherents reside in those depths..."

Lilisette the Kirlia
[Folio Town - Glyph's Guild]

@Light Lord@Shiny Keldeo
Letting out a pfft, Lilisette rolled her eyes at Devon's taunt-threat. "I bet your Water Gun feels like a tiny sprinkle! You can use me as practice, sure. I need a bath anyway." Flashing him a wink, she gave him an 'after you' gesture.

"Since your sense of direction's so good, I bet you can find him in five minutes flat, yeah?" Waving a hand to Glyph, she shouted, "Give Mr. Robel my regards! Hope he feels better!"

Selena the Bayleaf and Ember the Quilava
[Folio Town - Glyph's Guild]

@Ninian @Light Lord @MagusDream
Ember started moving towards the door before everyone else, loosely carrying the bag Glyph had given her. "I'll meet up with you all in a little bit, I have to run home and grab something important." She gave a wave and dashed down the steps, out of sight, leaving Selena a little nervous again. She tried to calm herself down, knowing she was among friends still. That helped a little.

"Well, we don't want to keep Mr. Brick waiting, do we?" Asked Selena, the nervousness apparent in her voice. She looked to the Guildmaster once more. "Goodbye, sir, give Mr. Robel my regards as well!" She finished.

Breeze the Shaymin and Fuse the Luxio
[Folio Trunk - Town Path F7]

@Ninian @Light Lord @Lucius Cypher
"Letho, you sure have your own way of expressing things, I'll tell ya..." Said Fuse slightly nervously. "I'm still with Karaha on this though, unless we have something concrete to go on that leads us down deeper, BF8 should be our limit. It gives us a good safety net from BF14." His guard was somewhat lowered at the moment. Many Pokemon would have called it luck to have not spotted a single Pokemon in a Mystery Dungeon yet, but the Town Path of the Trunk was different. There usually wouldn't be any Hostile Pokemon along the way, but every so often some might trickle up from the Roots.

Breeze was moving forward as she would do in any Dungeon. She kept her eyes on corridors left, right, front, behind, sometimes even up and down. Hey, you never know... But she felt relatively safe having a Team again, even if it was temporary. A few memories of Team Windflower began to trickle through, but she pushed those away for the moment and focused on the mission at hand. She made sure to stay close to Gren as much as she could, if being a former Guild-Mon taught her anything, it's to stay close to your VIP when on these missions. That way they don't end up wandering off and getting lost, hurt, or worse...

Petra the Aron

Folio’s Trunk - Floor 6

Petra had made a mistake.

The Kirlia she’d saved was grateful, but left without even helping her regain her balance. By the time Petra righted herself, she looked up to see a very angry Gliscor hanging over her, clicking its claws menacingly. He said nothing, looking at her with an annoyed dismissal. Petra said nothing, and instead defaulted to an expression of defiant challenge. This monster bat seemed terrifyingly strong compared to her, but she wouldn’t go down without a fight.

Fortunately for Petra, the Gliscor seemed to think she was one of the dungeon’s wild pokemon, and wasn’t worth his time. He spat something at her, then turned, and shot towards the stairs, chasing the Kirlia from before. Petra breathed a sigh of relief when he vanished. She wasn’t looking forward to actually fighting him.

She wasn’t relieved for long, though. The glob of sandy mud the Gliscor attacked her with suddenly became agitated, and spun furiously. Before Petra could react, a swirling sandstorm of mud and rock erupted around her, blinding her and trapping her in place. She couldn’t move, couldn’t see, and the sand got into all the crevices in her armor, worming its way in and causing a burning, stinging irritation as it went. Petra was so overcome with the pain which came from every direction at once, that it was all she could do to curl up and try to maintain consciousness.

~~~
Petra was hungry.
She’d been curled up under the pile of sand she was under for a long time, and while it burned and itched, she knew that she would be safe under her little tomb of sand.
The sandstorm had ended a while ago, settling down on top of her. Petra had initially wanted to leap out and give chase to the Gliscor, even in her weakened state. However, she knew better. She was exhausted and hurt, and needed to wait to let her body recover.
By now she was feeling okay, but by now the Gliscor would be so far ahead she could never catch up. Petra dug herself out from beneath the sand.
The room that greeted her was... Not entirely unlike all of the other rooms of the dungeon. The sand that normally coated the floors had all been condensed directly on top of her, forming a massive dune on a wooden floor.
Petra had to get herself back to town, though. She was very hungry, and while her pain had subsided and the sand that wormed its way into her was being forced out, she really needed to eat.
A gust of wind suddenly blew through the room, blowing an inch or two from the top of the dune.
She shook her head to clear it. The stairs were... That way. She walked over to them, and climbed.
As Petra climbed the steps, she noted that the next floor was just as sandy as the last, but a good deal noisier. She could hear the sounds of an argument coming from somewhere nearby. A rescue team? Dungeon pokemon rarely talked. Perhaps if she could wait here, on the stairs, and they could accompany her back to town. It was always better to travel through dungeons with others, after all. Going alone as she typically did was dangerous, after all.
Petra crouched, on the top of the stairs. She hoped they wouldn’t mistake her for a wild pokemon, that wouldn’t be good.
Gren
Location: Folio Trunk - Floor 7
Activity: Walking through the Trunk
Gren was quiet. He was focused. But he was also getting a bit annoyed. Everyone seemed so... Scared. It bothered him. He felt like he couldn't trust them if the worse came to pass. Like if they couldn't find the person he was looking for, or if this "Xicu" showed up, they wouldn't even put up any resistance. Maybe Gren was a fool. But he certainly wasn't a coward. "Karaha." Gren called out to the umbreon. "What stops Xicu from coming out of the trunk? It's not just the guild. Everyone in Folio can defend the town too... But only if they have the bravery to fight. Xicu is strong, maybe stronger than any of us. But keep talking like that, and you'll never win." Gren went back to keeping his senses sharp for any rock type pokemon moving about. He could smell that a few had been here recently, but he couldn't tell what they were doing.
Letho the Sableye
[Folio's Trunk - Town Path F7]
@Shiny Keldeo@Lucius Cypher@Ninian
"Ya sure, why not? Gotta give it our best efforts even if we got jack to go off of in terms of information. Would prefer not to run into Xicu, but if it comes down to it we gotta do what we gotta do."
Fuse's comment caused Letho's face to visibly droop downwards. The ghost's mouth contorting in an odd manor as he slipped in front of Fuse to walk backwards. Still facing the Luxio with crossed arms. "Yo Fuse, if it makes ya feel any better, I could just like, I dunno, scout ahead by myself? Risky ya, but you're talkin' to a guy that can turn invisible and hold his own in a fight." Leaning in close to the lion, the imp whispered. "Plus, I don't think this kid understands how dangerous this place can be. He's stubborn. Would be better to just do as much as we can so he doesn't get pissy and run off to get himself killed right?"
Karaha the Umbreon
[Folio's Trunk - Town Path F7]
@Light Lord@Shiny Keldeo@Lucius Cypher@Empour
"...What stops Xicu from coming out of the trunk?" Brows furrowed, the Umbreon stared at the ground, his eyes narrowing. "...Her domain is the roots. She has normally has no reason to travel to the surface, though aside from that? Nothing is stopping her."
A quick glance to Letho and Fuse, he'd look ahead and continue, "I plan to change that. Do not fret. As long as she is not prematurely stirred... we'll be fine."
With a hardened resolve, the Umbreon pressed onward, overtaking the group. Up ahead he saw the stairs, and a small Aron crouched on top of it. That's an odd sight. Does she live here? No... something seems off.
Glancing over his shoulder, he called out to the group, "Someone's ahead."
Glyph the Flygon and Devon the Totodile
[Folio Town - Glyph's Guild]
@MagusDream
The challenge offered to Devon peaked his interest, and he nodded eagerly. "Darn right I can! Let's go!" And like that, the small blue gator ran off down the hall. Bag flapping noisily behind him.
A soft chuckle came from Glyph as he waved at the children as they departed. "I certainly will, and I'm sure he'll be thrilled. Good luck children!"
Raising a claw as both Mirfah and Lance were leaving the room, Glyph spoke up. "Lance, Mirfah, may I have a moment with you two please?"
Devon the Totodile
[Folio Town - Town Square]
@Ninian@Shiny Keldeo
Devon, Lilisette, and Selena strutted out of the large blue roofed building and into the town plaza. Now that it was more into the afternoon, the square was buzzing with activity. Pokémon of many different types, species, and backgrounds milled around the wood streets chatting and trading, others were busy working their jobs in the different local buildings and shops. If one had a good eye, they could spot a few of the gold badge wearing Folio Guild members doing their rounds like they were instructed to prior in the day.
Devon gripped the strap of his bag and peered off into the crowd. His deep brown eyes darting to each and every shiny badge that he could spot being so short. Unfortunately, there were no signs of the Poliwrath known as Brick. A slight frown dipped the Totodile's maw. "Crap. Aw well, guess we'll just have to check around the square a bit and see if we spot him at a shop or something." Taking a single step forward, the Water-type froze before his foot came completely down to the ground. With his back turned to the others, a devious smirk came over his face. "But first..."
In a flash the former human had spun around and set his sights on the Kirlia of the group. Winking he reeled his head back and took a deep breath.....For nothing to happen. After a few awkward moments, Devon's head came back down as he grabbed at his stomach and stuck out his tongue. Face scrunching in a wince. "Ugh...Ok, I don't feel good. Feels like somethings tugging on my stomach...." His large round pupils shrunk down to pricks as the Big Jaw Pokémon brought his hands to his mouth to stifle a cough. Or, what he thought was a cough.
Suddenly Devon's mouth was forced open by a large stream of water that blasted out of his throat. [DEVON used WATER GUN!] The pressured torrent of water heading straight for Lilisette, just as promised.
Selena the Bayleaf
[Folio Town - Town Square]
@Ninian @Light Lord
Selena followed Devon out to Town Square, she'd spent more time there that day than she had in the past month she supposed. She looked around a bit, not seeing any sign of Mr. Brick nearby. Then she spotted him, or at least she thinks it was him, passing just out of sight near the Juice Bar. She was about to say something when she heard Devon's grumbling.
She turned to see him look like he was about to be sick, but instead of Vomit came Water, a Water Gun Attack to be specific. It headed right for the blue Kirlia with them. "Uh oh..." She said, turning her head not wanting to watch.
Breeze the Shaymin and Fuse the Luxio
[Folio Trunk - Town Path F7]
@Ninian @Light Lord @Lucius Cypher @Empour
Fuse listened to Gren continue to stubbornly persist that they go as deep as they can. "This kid... he's got no clue how serious we're being right now... if he makes one wrong step down in the roots he could find himself in a world of hurt, or worse... We aren't being cowardly, we're being smart, there's more to this line of work than he thinks..." Fuse thought to himself. Letho spoke up again, insisting that it would be safe. "I feel we should have talked this over with Glyph a bit more before we came down, at least then we would have had a concrete plan... and if Xicu is as bad as they say... I don't even know anymore... I'm not leaving until the jobs done, but there has to be a limit." He said in reply.
When he offered to go scout ahead alone, Breeze shook her head. "Not alone, you won't. I'll go with you if you do. My name may be Breeze, but that doesn't mean I'm a push over." She said confidently. Fuse shook his head, everything about this mission reeked of disaster. Letho whispered the last bit to him, and he couldn't help but agree. "You've got that right, I was just thinking that. That's the deal with kids his age, they really don't understand the dangers down that deep. The last thing I want is to have to go to his "Mom" and tell him... well... you get the message. It's up to you." He replied quietly.
When Karaha mentioned the Pokemon ahead, Fuse looked forward to the stairs, and sure enough there was someone... another Aron? Wait... Fuse swore he recognized that Aron from somewhere... "I think that Aron is from Folio... I can't place the name though..." Breeze floated up next to him. "Well, what do you think he, or she, is doing down here? And whoever they are, they look scared..." She replied.
Lilisette the Kirlia
[Folio Town - Glyph's Guild → Town Square]
@Light Lord@Shiny Keldeo
Ember took off and the small Kirlia waved her goodbye. "We'll be here!" Devon took off, and Lilisette followed, waving to the timid Bayleef. "He doesn't know where he's going, but I'm sure we'll go somewhere interesting~" Giving her a reassuring wink, she pressed onward.
"I'm sure he's around here somewhere." Turning back to face Devon, she realized he had fixed his gaze upon her. Lilisette tilted her head, "Uh, are you going to puke or something? Might not wanna do that right here." It was a few moments after that where she realized she probably should have ran instead of slapping on the snark.
Water shot towards her, completely drenching her form while pushing her a few feet backwards. When the torrent subsided, she stood there, wide-eyed. "...oh."
After a few moments pause, Lilisette grew visibly angry. Rushing over to her assailant, [LILISETTE used DRAINING KISS!] Once she closed the distance, Lilisette planted kiss on Devon's cheek in an attempt to drain him of his energy.
Devon the Totodile
[Folio Town - Town Square]
@Ninian@Shiny Keldeo
The water soon slowed to a trickle down his chin as Devon blinked in awe at what he just did. Looking at the now drenched Psychic Fairy, he cracked a wide toothy smile before bursting out into joyful laughter. "AHAHAHA! How's that for a 'tiny sprinkle' Lilisette? And you can't get mad at me! You volunteered for this!"
Unfortunately the Totodile was too busy calming down from his laughing to notice the Kirlia's anger. Or retaliation. Before he knew it she had came up on his position and...Kissed him? The action took Devon by surprise as he jumped slightly. Eyes going wide in alarm. "Whoa! What's with the kiss!? I thought we were just friends!?" Suddenly the small reptiles arms dropped down limp in front of him as he wobbled and basically leaned on Lilisette for support. Weakness racking his form as he uselessly raised a clawed hand to try to push himself away from the suddenly affectionate girl. "What're you...Doing to me?..I feel so tired all of a sudden.....Cut it out..."
"Uh...I'm not interrupting anything am I?"
A few feet away from the scene, a tall blue Pokémon with large gloved hands, massive eyes, and the familiar golden tree badge strapped to a messenger bag stood by with crossed arms. Looking down at the scene of the Totodile being kissed with brows raised to the moon.
Petra the Aron
Folio’s Trunk - Floor 7
The voices grew closer. Closer. They were nearly upon her.
A little black head appeared in the room’s only exit corridor. The Umbreon head looked around, settling on her for a moment, before popping back out of the room. Petra considered giving chase, but she didn’t want to appear hostile, and that was certainly something that wild pokemon did. She instead patiently waited, and twice used [HARDEN], just in case whoever she met here came to blows with her.
Some more of the group she’d predicted appeared. An angry-looking cat with big teeth, and a spunky-looking pokemon she didn’t recognize. She had seen the Umbreon and Luxio before around town, but didn’t know much about them besides that they were of the guild. She relaxed a bit. If they were guild members, then they wouldn’t do her harm. Guild members followed a code of honor, after all.
Or, so she thought. The pokemon saw her, and quickly spoke to each other.
“They look scared,” said the fluffy looking one. Scared? Petra was not scared at all!
“I am not!” She called out to them, standing back up from her crouch, forgetting she was on top of the stairs. Her back legs slipped, finding no purchase in the air.
She scrambled, trying to catch herself, but her legs were too short.
“Aaaaeeeee!” Petra let out, as she tumbled. The spinning bonks didn’t cause her damage, but they certainly hurt. Her fall lasted what felt like minutes, whirling and tumbling every which way. By the time she reached the bottom, she was on her back and thoroughly dizzied.
“Ooww,” she said, loudly enough to be heard from above. A strong wind blew through the room.
