Of course the players can challenge the travelling gym leader when they come to the town where the gym is or what ever...

And are pikachu or Vulpix accetable starter pokemons? I mean they do evolve, but only with right stone.

Vulpix and Pikachu are the base forms of their evolution-families and they do evolve, and are as such acceptable starter-Pokémon~

Alright, I'm changing the status to full again with those who've looked in.

@Pirouette and @Pink Madness may join. There may be a ninth player in this PM conversation I have here, too, maybe. That, plus one player with expressed interest from the former game has yet to post their character. After we get the last couple of characters ready, we'll be ready to roll.

Reji the Wild Child Wants to battle

Personality: Reiji is a spontaneous wild child, much to his families shock. As the son of a black belt his actions are odd to say the least. While in his classes with his father he had always been serious but as soon as the class was done he was back to being wild and sarcastic. Always running to play with his father’s Lucario or spar with his mother’s Sawk and Throh.

Hometown: Lakewatch Town

Background: Reiji has always been rambunctious and free spirited. Even as a young child his mother and father had a hard time keeping up with him. His parents wanted him to grow up not only with a love and respect for Pokemon but also with the discipline and honor of being a martial artist so while his mother focused on teaching him her old training tactics and showing him as much as she could, his father was always hard at work making sure the boy was trained as a martial artist even going so far as to use the drills and training as a form of punishment. As time went on Reiji slowly became more interested in Pokemon that martial arts but stuck with it to make his father happy. During her days as a trainer Reiji’s mother got to know a girl whom she would encounter from time to time. Reiji always went crazy trying to figure out who it was until one day his mother hot a letter from Professor Kalmia of Pureplain City telling her of the group of people receiving Pokemon and stating that she has a special Pokemon and a Pokedex for her son. As soon as Reiji heard the news he was ecstatic and ran out to find his father, who was out watching the lake with some of the others from town, to tell him the news.

Appearance: She is tall, skinny red haired girl, her hair is always on ponytail. She looks older than most of her aged and is usual assumed to be adult. She wears a top, white pink hoodie, skirt and white leggings.

Age: 16 years
Gender: female.
Personality: She is calm, little shy, hard working, Kind but hot-headed, so you don't want to angry her. She have his own mind and don't easely give up. She don't want to admit it, but he easely get herself in problems too. Thought she is good listener, and can try to help others, but hates to be bossed around. She is somewhat hard to get close with and even her closes friends have hard time to understand her sometimes.
Hometown: Goldenrod city, Johto.

Background: She is born and lived her whole life to the Goldenrod city. She is always been very close to the pokemons, because her mother was pokemon nurse and father pokemon researcher. At a little kit she was always playing with pokemons, which was catched by her father, time when he was still travelling young trainer.

For years Donna was talked about her dreams about adventures to catch pokemons and challenge gyms. Her father knowed this and told her a lot about Isson region, where he was lived three years, when he was studying to become a researcher.

On her 16 birthday her father gived her a ticket to Isson region to begin her journal as she wanted. Two days on boat, she at last arrived to the Isson region, where she got to meet the professor. She got her pokedex and her first own pokemon, Vulpix.

Kind of Pokémon you like: She likes most pokemons, but favor a fire-type.

@Keyblade87 ... Ah. Um. This might be my own fault for not specifying it. However, you receive your Pokémon blank. This means no held items or TM moves. Also, Brick Break is way too powerful a move to start with anyway. Maybe I'll be nice and give you Rock Smash early on if you don't want to wait to actually get a Fighting type move, if I feel like it. XD

The background ends with him running out to find his father. This kind of leaves a gap between where you're running to your father to tell the news and now when you're in Pureplain to actually receive the Pokémon. Shall we assume Reiji told him and then traveled via Route 14 on a boat to Highhill Town and then went to Pureplain by Route 1? Sounds like the most reasonable to me, you could definitely get a ride as a resident of Lakewatch.

Also, Kalmia being your mother's friend is a totally extremely legit reason to be given a Pokédex. Approved.

Also, I suddenly realized. My Pokémon Character Sheet did not require you to place the typing of the Pokémon. I didn't realize until I wondered if Riolu also was steel-type as his evolution but couldn't actually check the CS for it. Since I know almost all types by heart, it must have slipped my mind.

Okay, this took way too long to finish, so sorry. I said I would get a CS, so here it is.

Martin Price

Name: Martin Price

Personality: Martin has always considered himself a team player. He doesn't mind who's in charge, as long as everyone gets along. he often finds himself trying to act as a peacekeeper between conflicts. He generally dislikes people who are rude, mean, or tries to bully others. He prefers to stand up to them directly, even against the odds. If you aren't on his bad side, hes nice and polite to everyone he meets. Even going as far as giving to others if they need it.

Hometown: Goldshire Town

Background: Born in Goldshire, Martin was always a kid of low income. Team Valor always claimed the money contained there was for a grand purpose, but they were just bullies in his eyes. Everyone here worked hard to get by and here they come stealing whatever they want. He hated it, but it's not like he could take them all on at once. With the general mistrust of Pokemon, everyone just had to wallow in the filth of their beloved town. Poison types flocked to the poisoned land. It was no surprise when rumors of a far away city was starting up the trainer thing, did Martin immediately jump at the chance. It was the farthest possible distance, but he had to do something. Sitting around here wasn't helping anyone. He had a mission, to become a trainer and give back to the town he came from.

Preferred Types: Bugs, Ghosts, and Poison.

Quirks/Talents/Aspirations/Other: Not so secretly seeks to bring Team Valor to justice. Is good at identifying poisonous fruit and common methods to cure them. Terrible at handling high stress situations. Will take others burdens as his own to help people.

Thooooouuuuugh... XD ... As cool as it would be to have Team Valor and Candela in Isson stirring things up and encountering your characters, the team that you're referring to is Team Virtue. Just, well... Details. Haha. Also, I called the town Goldshore, but honestly, Goldshire fits it better. XD

Not going to really have the personality of the Pokémon really influence the performance of the Pokémon, because that doesn't make sense to me. But yeah. Haha.

So, aside from some incorrect terminology, Martin is definitely accepted~

Hm, there's no mention of how he came to be given a Pokédex by Kalmia, though. Eh, that's not strictly necessary. Hold a nice speech about your motives and Kalmia will definitely be swayed~ XD
