I suddenly got this idea about a Dalentian legend that I just had to type down. GM may decide if that's myth or truth, haha.

Yeah, any confusion is my bad guys, I've been saying Command Deck, for the top floor, I think I called it the upper deck on the tour.

We really need some floorplans, and I have the layout all determined and ready to go, but the only program on my computer that I could possibly try and draw them with is your basic Paint. And whenever I try that, it usually comes out very cramped looking, like the war room, armory and cockpit are all way closer to each other than intended. Anyone have a program or site that might help us out a bit?

Speaking of, I've been messing around with the site Xandrya shared, and here's the end result of about an hour's tinkering, a rough mock-up of the upper deck, considering that's where 90% of us are right now.

How is it? Would you guys be ok with something like this serving as our official floorplan? I have no idea why it ended up on the bottom of the image, I'd probably try and fit 2 floors per image in the finalized version.

Finally got my character finished, but it's not my best work. However, my computer was recently fried (I'm posting this from a friend's) and I can't repair it for a month or so, so posts will likely be few and far between, and that's if I can even post at all.

Ace

Name: 'Ace'
Age/Race/Gender: Designed to appear around early to mid thirties (chronologically 19); Android; identifies as male.
Appearance: Click. Stands at six feet tall and appears to be rather slim, but weighs a little under half a ton due to his metal insides. Sadly, not outfitted with extremities. Wears this jacket over the clothing in the photo.
Occupation: Freelance pilot, smuggler and occasional trumpeter when all else fails.
Weapons: This baby. It fires eight shots before it needs to be reloaded. Virtually recoilless, as it is light-weight and the grip contorts to the shooter's hand. Ace is also fond of using automatic assault rifles or SMGs when he can find them, but does not own one.
Armor: While weapons can easily cut through his skin, under it is a heavily armored endoskeleton. However, he is fond of wearing this armor for some reason. It is officially known as Toranma Inc. Light Infiltrator Armor, but Ace calls it 'my second skin'.
Items: A few tools on a belt (in case he needs to repair himself or his weapons in combat), a picture (if he gets around to opening up to someone on the crew, he'll reveal what is. Until then, it's a secret to everybody), an old zippo lighter, and a pack of Pall Mall cigarettes (with only six left, sadly).
Skills: Ace Pilot: Where else do you think his name comes from? Ace is, well, an ace pilot, in fact he's probably one of the greatest in the galaxy. By his own calculations, the probability of crashing if he's flying the ship is 0.004% (however, he does have an extremely inflated ego so this is probably false, more than likely for worse than for the better).
Crackshot: Ace is a crackshot with pistols and is adept in the use of assault rifles and SMGs. However, he has no knowledge in the use of shotguns, heavy machine guns, sniper rifles, etc.
Powers: (Technically) Unkillable: Due to being an android, Ace doesn't age and cannot die of natural causes. In fact, he could survive being obliterated so long as his memory chip survives. However, if his memory chip is destroyed then Ace as everyone knows him would cease to be.
Other: Ace is heterosexual. Sadly, he can't have sex due to the aforementioned lack of extremities, but at least he can admire.
Ace cannot get drunk, high, etc., but can taste things.

@Simple Unicycle Thought you'd forgotten about us! I have 3 comments to make. #1- Is the pistol ballistic or laser? #2- is his armor plated or powered? and #3 We technically have our fill of pilots right now, between Stryker and Tibulus, but I'd have Stryker step down from full-time co-piloting if @Banana doesn't mind sharing the controls! Other than that, I think you're all set!

Which leaves the matter of introduction, and I think that'll be mostly tied into when you'll be able to post. We've shipped out and are on the way to a mission location at the moment. If you're ready to jump in now, we could arrange a slight detour to pick you up. If you'd rather wait on the sidelines until we're a bit closer to ya having your computer fixed up, that'd be fine too, dealer's choice!

XD but I understand its early stages still, I think it will work well and look good when complete :)

@Dark Light 1- Yup, I figured I'd mentioned that somewhere before, but there are a pair of bunks in the cockpit that fold out from the wall, in case the pilot (or as I guess will be the case moving forward, pilots) need a quick nap. That little stairway icon is meant to be ladders, so the bunks are down out of the way in a little lower area. The cockpit layout was inspired by Firefly when I was thinkin' it up.

2- Damn labourers indeed, they forgot to put a door in the cockpit as well. So henceforth anyone entering or exiting the cockpit need to crawl through the vents

3- I haven't seen anyway to add text yet. Push comes to shove, I could probably import the image to paint and label it using the text tool there without screwin' it up too bad. The circle is meant to be the war room, though in a finalized version it'd probably be more so in the center so there's a hallway to walk around on either side of it, and a second door to accommodate the extra hallway.

For reference in this rough version, from the cockpit back, we've got 6 gunner seats (might be upgraded to 10 if I can lengthen the ship out a bit more) then the emergency ladder, the war room, the stairs and elevator, armory, med bay opposite, toilet, doctor's study opposite captain's quarters, ladder to forward battery opposite.

And hopefully that clears everything up! I'm doubtful I'll have time to sit down and do a more complete version of this, plus the other 3 floors, tomorrow, but sunday/monday for sure

@Crossfire hehe, nope, just procrastination, school and other IRL things. Meant to finish this sooner, but, y'know.
1. Laser.

3. Well that's a shame, considering this character's whole thing is that he's an 'ace pilot' and all that. If Banana didn't mind and you were okay with it, then I'd like Ace to be the co-pilot. If not, then I'll find a way to rework the character so it makes sense that he's there (because we already have two skilled pilots, so we don't need another one [even if he can outfly both of them]).

Either or is fine with me, though I'd prefer to hold off on introducing Ace until my computer is fixed (which might come a lot sooner than I thought, thankfully).

I'm good with Ace being a pilot. The two big pilots we have could probably switch-off every now and again so the action is distributed somewhat evenly.
