@Irredeemable My hesitance to allow vehicle pilots is because by their nature they are going to be removed from the rest of the group during gameplay. And unable to move ahead with the group in certain situations and scenarios.

Even if I separate the Driver and the vehicle, then the player will probably question why they are playing a driver.

The Sentinel is the only vehicle I can think of that has the best ability to keep pace, keep with everyone else and follow the platoon into tighter areas that a tank can't follow. but it still has its problems but its preferable to a chimera driver, who would probably just get bored after awhile.

Its good to see a swath of new people though. We definitely have enough bodies that I am more open to allowing an auxiliary or two.

well this is a regiment made up of other broken regiments. I'm not actually sure we would have a standard of our own. Other than something we make ourselves out of boredom.

Question, what if we are all in a squad in a Chimera or Taurox as mechanized/motorized infantry? Then the infantry lads and the tank lads will have a chance and we get the best if both worlds.

Because that only works until we have to get out of the tank and run into buildings or tunnels or whatever other confined areas exist. As I said, there are places that a tank simply can't follow a squad or platoon of infantry

I’m actually fine with having a Chimera or Taurox driver who dismounts a lot. Could specialise in explosives and engineering as well, but I could do a heavy weapons team too, so eh.
