(This is two parts from an RP with a few good friends of mine.)

~Telling Lily How He Felt, Truly~

Jungkook sat down across from the girl, staring at her silently. She had curled further into the blanket on the couch, her eyes glancing at him occasionally. He looked over at Emerald, who gave him a look that said "Be nice, this place is negative free."

He dipped his head in acknowledgment before he spoke, his gaze returning back to Lily. "First things first," he said, crossing his arms over his chest. "Jin-ae, our daughter. You can have her for two weeks, and every other week. Other than that, I expect her to be with Jimin and I, out of harms way. By harms way, I mean Taehyung. I don't particularly trust that."

Lily nodded, agreeing quietly. "The other part?" she asked, almost defiantly. Jungkook allowed the coldest of smiles to touch his lips, knowing that he had to be harsh. He leaned forward on the seat, his posture now relaxed, as though what he was about to say was a dinner suggestion. "Are you sure you want to know?" he asked, then waved his hand dismissively. "The truth, Lily Brighton, is that I never actually loved you. I was only with you while I waited for Yoongi to disappear, and then once you did, Jimin was all mine."

~When Yoongi Came Back~

Min Yoongi. That asshole had returned? Since when? What was he doing at the castle? Jungkook's gaze snapped towards the other boys, his eyes burning with malice. "What the f-ck do you think you're doing here?" he hissed, immediately rising off of the couch. He took several steps towards Yoongi, his fingers wrapping themselves around his collar, yanking the other boy towards him. His fingers twitched as though they wanted to be wrapping around his throat. "I should kill you right now," he growled, adding, "I don't know if you remember, but Jimin is /my/ husband. Not yours. Don't touch him, don't go near him, don't even think about him. Do you understand me?"

This whole post in a crossover RP about King Pridemoor literally almost dying of embarrassment.

Anything in that RP written by @GreatSalmon or @LuciansMentor is absolutely fucking hysterical. I miss RP'ing with them. I can't believe it's been over two years...

@KimHanuel

Pretty much everyone I know from that RP seemed to have left after it stopped.

I have contact with some of them on Discord but they don't really RP anymore. Sucks because I enjoyed the casual nonsense we did over the years, especially on Old Guild, but things are fated to change, I suppose.

Speaking of Old Guild, I could fill a whole page with things here from my adventures back then. This site has given me a lot of fond memories.

I'll always be happy to share my all-time favorite quote with people, from a Pokemon: Mystery Dungeon RP I did *a very long time ago.*

The Pokemon was a ship captain and talking about Kyorge sightings. "When I saw it I nearly shit myself. I still do to this day.

That's a quote from @Chapatrap. Another guy I don't see much anymore, unfortunately. This is the best line of dialog he ever wrote anywhere, though. And I want it's legend to live on forever.

@Todd Howard Damn...I'm sorry to hear that. RPG has brought me some pretty great friends as well. ShadowVentus, BlitheCrescent, and (believe it or not) @Jett Ryu (even though we don't really speak to each other.) Honestly, I don't regret joining RPG, nor do I regret making any of the friends that I did. Each person has brought with them their own memories. To me, that makes life worth living. The small things. Ya know?

Oh, definitely. Even if some of them don't RP anymore, I've made some great friends for life here that are now people I talk with daily outside of RPG, no regrets of being here. It's crazy to think that like, five or six of them have entirely moved on, but I'm still here.

That's a good quote there actually. I'm hoping I am not intruding on this but to kind of piggyback on what you said there is some good friends I made on here so I do not regret that, sure some things on here are bittersweet as a whole but nothing's perfect. Sure I wasn't here on the old guild but I hope to do the best I can when it comes to doing my part in various things/topics.

This story comes not from the Roleplayer Guild but elsewhere, at a tabletop far away, now some time ago.

The gist of it, so not to make it needlessly long, was that my players rolled for everything; a truly random, unpredictable table. They had always wanted to roll for their scores, their hit points, even play classes they had not regularly considered because of that. It was more classical that way, but each of them quickly developed characters they were highly protective of. They were weak, fragile, and faced by a world of overwhelming oppression where monsters did lurk in the night and wolves at your doorstep were truly mortal threats. Weak as they individually were, they strove to become something meaningful as they knew death in a low magic campaign was, effectively, permanent. They knew the powers of the arcane were dying, gods no longer answered prayers so the most powerful divine magic was limited, and magic items were scarce.

They were thrown into a story of turmoil where a storm of terror, conceptual and physical, raged against the countryside and left villages reduced to cinder and ruin; one character so happened to have rolled and survive said attack, thus had the only plot reason. Farmer turned paladin, forming a crusade against whatever and whoever was responsible, all they knew was terror seared into them. The player always asked for details here and there and like a therapist teasing apart of tangled knot of dreams, one that could not be so easily tugged apart, they learned more and more grim truth. It convinced them, then in turn convicted them to convince the rest of the party, who were mostly adrift. What is a story without story in a tabletop? All the world open, what to do?

Fight death of course, literal and metaphorical.

They pieced together a myth of the realm's reaper, a being of terrible and horrific power that did not sow strife, rather harvested the evils planted by people. But such a thing could not exist, all the great monsters were dead - dragons, titans, illithids, demons - what was the cause? They were sent on quest after quest, story after story, until they began to find tidings that this force was nothing so exotic. It was no coincidence these fringe towns were being consumed by thunderous storm or blinding fire or their people mauled and mangled. They came to delve deep barrows, searching ancient tombs and graves, pillaging one artifact that terrified them so, for it almost seemed to compel them, that they dared not to touch it; they even tried to cast the blade into a fire, but it showed no sign of fatigue. Instead it menaced and haunted them.

All four became ever more fearful of their quest as the odds played more stacked yet convinced constantly, roused by sheer chance circumstances their leader, the paladin, kept interpreting as fate - with no doing by the Dungeon Master - that this was what they needed to do. So they did, until they found the trail they had been looking for. That was when all the playful, eager, heroic banter ended. As they stalked through the woods of the deepest, unknown places, venturing out beyond what the meager maps of the world had charted into the north before the greatest peak in the range, the anxiety quickened.

The characters had prepared every moment of the game to fight this creature, the culmination of years of efforts playing. They had planned everything they needed based off of all the scattered fragments they could. But now? Now the mood changed and each of them was on edge. When the description was at last read and they faced the myth they created for themselves, they learned just how woefully wrong they were about the world's interpretation of death. All the folklore they had studied, all of it was imagination and creative interpretation by those involved, even the paladin himself.

I consider this my greatest success, as for several years I conned my players into inventing a web of lies and understandings they themselves believed in and out, all by their own creation, with I as the Dungeon Master not needing to do anything for it. This moment of success, that capitalized and epitomized this moment? The sheer pinnacle of the event where the climactic showdown was to take place at last?

The players were afraid to die.

They feared for their characters...

My best and favorite rp moment happened in star wars galaxies. my character was a rebel spec force soldier/officer, he was in the Mos Eisly Cantina having a drink , he was already wanted by imperial law but at the time, he wasn't really thinking about it, well a rp guild group of imperial storm troopers, entered the cantina that night and spotted him. and the bar tender there knew his face and she pointed him out to them, well they came up behind him to arrest him . and he used the quote " lets dance" and he jumped behind the bar when they opened fire on him, all the other players role-play and none in that game all started running out the door. which made it really interesting, and his only escape was to go out the back door but then it was soon surrounded by the rest of that guilds members so , to my surprise when I was playing, role-players I didn't even know , came from the back room, and started opening fire on the imperial guys, so my character could get a clean escape. they chased him all around even to another planet where they had reinforcements. for him and that's where my character, got arrested, since the no perma death rule was in place they locked him in a cell . and to make his escape I was surprised but to twi-lek dancers from the cantina came to his rescue. and flirted with the imperial guards and one stole the key and the other drugged them for him to escape.

I still remember up to this day when this person came up to meet me.

Luthièn Nogard. She was a muse with green eyes and brown hair. I even joked with her player that she was like Aeris Gainsborough. Ironically, she made her muse to be more and more an Aeris lookalike! Years of a friendship blooming in both action packed scenes against monsters and a docile slice-of-life setting that merged well together. One day, her muse simply said "I'm sleepy" and rested on my muse's lap. Since both had a HIGH level of affection towards each other, he started rubbing her hair until she woke up all of a sudden. Cue her telling him "I love you", despite the fact my muse was trying to say the same thing for a long time but barely had courage to do so.

One of my best friends returned one day from RPing hiatus due to break up with her abusive boyfriend. First thing we did was to re-take our long-term story and make our characters go to a world based on fairy tales.
I had an interesting idea which was perfectly implemented: Snow White and the Sleeping Beauty were hunters, and both had to hunt down a Succubus who both put Beauty in that curse and constantly targeted White (To keep things in check with the official lore, as Snow White's mommy was jealous of her beauty, so I've made the "big bad" be a dream demon, akin to Freddy Krueger, whose powers failed to work while these two princesses were around).

I'll be honest, I have a lot of favorites. Some that looking back, became such only after I had thought them bad.

About this time last year actuaally(I finished the post for it the last few minutes of 2017), ended up showing a character of mine, who was broken, and like a bad broken leg, had healed wrongly, being rebroken to properly heal. Amid the ashes of her army, the city she had built, she was thrust through thousands upon thousands of timelines, all with one shared theme. A bad ending for her. Over and over again, until eventually, amid it all, the thing that had dared call itself part of her was torn free from its grip upon her, and cast into the depths of her mind, and she blissfully passed out, broken both physically and mentally. She had been shot in the ankles and knees, and had been shot in the wrist and elbow of one arm, the gun placed in her hand, and her second personality, which had taken full control in a sort of twisted Jekyll and Hyde situation, couldn't understand what had happened(this was prior to the loop thing, the loop was performed in response to her failure to understand what was going on(in part mine, as I was in a pretty bad place at the time, I was pissed off and livid at people I now consider friends)). She had a sword shoved through her chest, not enough to kill her, a gunshot to the wound from her own daughter who had been turned into an agent of another reality, a reality she now calls home off this website, and then the injured parts of her body were removed.

IT was a brutal, humiliating moment for her as a character. What happened still haunts her to a degree, even though her time spent in a three month coma dulled many of those memories. Sure, she made up with most of the folks involved(sans the guy who stabbed her in the chest, in an rp we're doing right now he and her are about to come face to face for the first time since that event a year prior), like her younger brother, who she'd been fighting for(while also fighting to gain the power needed to ressurect the love of her life, the whole reason she'd fallen to such dispensable depths that she caused the deaths of thousands of "innocents"(actually enemy combatants, fun story there)), she's still healing. She's been put back on the right path, and while no one outside of those who have seen her inner self, and a few others, know she's a changed person, from a monsterous dragon scientist hellbent on doing whatever it took to get back the woman she loved, who had saved her from being trapped as a Robian for the rest of her life, to a troubled queen trying to set things right. Sure she still hates one of the reasons she's so fucked in the head(her mother abandoned her as a young child, and then when they met up years later in story, her mother broke her spirit and body, before just tossing her aside, before delivering my character to her grandfather, one of the bad guys of our writing group for some time).

But yeah, its one of my favorite moments, as despite some confusion later where that friend who stabbed me in character later threatened me to come back and do it again to me when he and others thought I was ignoring what had happened, it was a great turning point for my character. The conflict it was the cap to was one that shook two different writing groups to a degree, and heavily scarred many of the characters involved. Sure it failed as a cross-writing group arc, but it worked as a sole comm arc. It's still being felt now, so yeah.

I might post my CS for her at some point, since I adore her as a character. My little bastard child of a demi-god and a Sonic OC, who I put through so much unneeded shit so many times, who has more issues than any child her age ought to have(she has the mentality of an adult but is only nine in her timeline, cuz accelerated aging and spending seven years turned into a robot, Sonic stuff is fun), and still tries to make the world a better place.

I have other stories, such as how my character was conceived, to how she was "born." To her battle against her mother, and her loss. If not for how the site I used before is to shut down, I'd link it now...hmm, I might do it all the same, if folks want to see it. I'm not proud of hwere I was at the time as a writer mentally, but yeah. Wakeup calls in rp that help shake you back on course as a person are always nice. Got a bit winded there, whoops!

Not really a forum-based RP, but a tabletop one. You know Maid RPG? Yeah, that one.

So our GM is kind of a crazy motherfucker that allows just about any madness to happen, so you had this household of a shy robot maid with chainsaw hands, smol loli brat that's actually a vampire and lazy neko so good at stealth none of the players could ever track her down. We also tried playing as friends, but constantly got into each other's hair anyway.

Maid RPG also has a random event system you can use and I swear every session had a ninja break-in. Our last session had us finding a nuke in the basement, so naturally every player scrambled to it. The GM was super lax with the roll requirements, so we were like "Aight this'll work" with whatever we did.

Nothing worked.

We tried de-fusing it thrice, I tried breaking the thing, we even tried talking to it out of desperation. After about 8 rolls of fucking up, the GM went "Okay, fuck this. You all decide to work together; add up all your rolls and if it exceeds my set requirement the bomb's defused."

Cue all three of us rolling the lowest possible roll we could've gotten, leading to our maids jumping on it to try and shield the master in vain as the mansion and country blew up due to our sheer incompetence.

We also never played Maid RPG again.
