In a land far, far away lies the kingdom of Fiore, a small, peaceful nation of 17 million, and a place filled with magic. Found in every home, bought and sold in every marketplace. For most magic is merely a tool, a mundane part of everyday life. For some, however, magic is an art, and they've devoted their lives to its practice. These are the wizards. Banded together into magical guilds, they ply their skills in search of fame and fortune. Many such guilds dot the landscape of Fiore. Two guilds who have become synonymous with amazing feats reside in the confines of a lake, calling the town of Luna Crescente home. Where they lay on the map being the only thing they have in common, a strong rivalry has divided them in their ideals. Harpy's Wing and Golem's Hand. Crossing paths has only resulted in clashes and disputes. A new chapter is opening and the question is, when their paths cross next what will be the result?

The weather was inviting, not even the most stubborn of shut-ins could resist stepping outside. The shined down on the town of Luna Crescente. As the light reflected off the clear waters that surrounded and weaved through streets the town seemed to sparkle. The breeze was pleasant and Luna was alive with activity. Golem's Hand, one of the two guilds residing in the lake town was having a festival, celebrating its sixth anniversary. Food, games, entertainment, the whole nine yards. Despite the guilds stern and hardened appearance, they knew how to provide a good time for then townsfolk.

The only people who could potentially not enjoy the festival was Golem's rival, Harpy's Wing. Harpy's guild hall sat in the middle of the crescent shaped lake surrounding the town. A perfect harmony of nature and architecture, the guild hall was built into the trunk of a massive tree. While they were at odds with Golem, that was hardly a reason to not enjoy such an event. It was started the rivalry that produced such animosity between the two. However, Harpy was a guild built upon harmony, making them the proactive side in trying to bring some sort of peace for both guilds, though maybe a stronger effort could be put forth.

Kyuuten Rallis

However, for some this feud wasn't enough to keep them away from a good time. Including the ever joyful beaming ball of sunshine known as Kyuuten Rallis. "Watch your head~!" Winding back the snowy haired Harpy wizard threw the ball and knocked down one of the targets in the stand. A few feet away stood a girl who looked the part of the general image of a wizard, pointed hat included. While staying out of the way of the crowd she seemed engrossed in the magical text being projected by the device in her hand. Suddenly, a small teddy bear penitrated the floating pages. "He's cute, right~?" Kyuuten gave her his usual cheery smile. "I wish you wouldn't do that while I'm reading. But...yes he is very cute." She said taking the bear in her hands. "How'd you win it?" Kyuuten pointed over his shoulder the game stand he was just at. "Hehe, I knocked over Hans~" Looking over his shoulder, Pyrrha could see the stand runner resetting the cardboard cutout of their ghostly guildmate alongside others. "You know, this only proves my point that we shouldn't attend Golem's anniversary festival..." She sighed.

Kyuuten Rallis, a member of Harpy's Wing and the guild's resident Celestial wizard. Pyrrha was his closest friend and first Celestial spirit he ever contracted with. She liked to hang around the using her own magic power so the two were often together. "It's fine, the festival has nothing to do with us. Golem is celebrating the day they were formed not our little skirmishes." The two walked around the festival, Kyuuten clearly unbothered by Pyrrha's concern as he sauntered on relaxed and with his hands on the back of his head. "I think the stand you won this from begs to differ." Pyrrha knew she wouldn't be able to change his mind. Kyuuten has been Harpy's most proactive member in trying to be more friendly with Golem. He didn't see the rivalry between the two guilds being to prove who's better as much as it was to push each other to become stronger. That was just the way the young wizard's mind worked. While his excessively bright attitude could be a source of worry for Pyrrha, she couldn't help but find it endeering. "C'mon let's grab a bite. I can smell that sweet sweet festival grub from here~" Pyrrha sighed and nodded with a slight smile.

Amaterasu Lee

Simple footsteps can be heard around the simple village of Luna Crescente, looking down and watching her feet play chasies with each other was the golem’s hand member known as Amaterasu, or Ama for short. Amaterasu was walking around her guild area and enjoying the festival very much; even if she hasn’t been in the guild itself for as long as the others have been. It was nice nonetheless for her, it was a completely different pace and the atmosphere was just incredible if she must say so herself.

Finally sitting down on a grassy area, she simply watched on her lonesome. That was, until her stomach growled; demanding that it wanted food immediately. “Oh, for god sake” The girl clad in a red dress murmured, getting up quite evidently and walking along with the crowds and what not, just to find this stall that would feed her and stop her stomach growling completely.

Continuing on with her mission to find this stall, she noticed a male she recognised from the other guild. But she payed no heed, this was a festival and the last thing that should practically happen was a full-frontal brawl between guilds started by the fire lady herself. Although she could state differently if Travis was around… Luckily she hasn’t seen him around as of yet, so all was good.

He Who Bears The Panties Of His Sister.

Sunny, Currently Showcasing His Marksmanship.

The Marksman decided to go out of his way and put up an spectacle, just this once in the time he had been in Golem's Hand.

There were not many people, but at the very least there was a relatively small crowd awaiting for his show. He was a notorious part of Golem's Hand, but mainly because of his lazy disposition towards everything.

Today he wanted to show everyone that there was more to him than laziness and sister complexes. Besides, he could shoot his guns without prejudice right now and inside town.

His marksmanship was second to none, nobody would be hurt... probably. No, he shouldn't let anyone get hurt, or the guild master would be on his ass.

Besides, he had to put up a good show, since someone had set him up for this after losing in poker. That was exactly why he hated games he couldn't shoot with his guns.

Sunny's attire for the day was one he typically used when he went out in missions.

A simple shirt without sleeves and some logo or other in the front, a black vest over that and a pair of jeans. He was wearing his Forgotten Cloak, however his hood was not over his head, which meant he was still visible to anyone passing by.

Covering his head was a fedora, though, and his long purple hair fell by both of his shoulders. There was more than one reason why they thought Golem's boys were more girly than the Harpies.

"Hm... Come, one and all." His tone was monotone, despite being quite loud. "Come and be amazed," He put a hand to his hip and started picking his nose with his pinky finger. "The marksman's show is just about to start. Yaaaaaay."

He really did seem quite bored, but well, it shouldn't be for long.

When he thought there were enough people in front of the small stage he had prepared, he extended both hands to his sides.

With his Requip magic, he produced a golden revolver, from seemingly out of nowhere.

"Now, let's get pumped people!" His tone was certainly more energetic, though the lax expression in his face did not go away. There was a slight, no, really big change in his expression, though. His mouth had widdened into a smile.

From ear to ear, the man smirked like the Cheshire Cat.

"I will now showcase some of my magic. For my opening act," He reached to his back and produced a coin, which he then flipped high into the air.

He readied his weapon and shot at the coin. The bullet ricocheted from the coin and back down.

Sunny opened the cylinder of his weapon and the bullet fell right into the socket it had left from.

The people were obviously surprised. Sunny bowed down to thank for the following applause.

"Now then!" He flipped two coins then, and shot at both coins again.

The bullets ricocheted again and hit each other mid air right in front of Sunny. Having lost their momentum, Sunny caught both bullets with his bare hands. It was impressive, yes, but he had to let go of them quickly since they were steaming hot.

Applause followed. More people started to gather.

"Shouldn't've been so flashy. If more people gather it will become real hard to finish this. Or I can just hurry up my finishing act and bail ass." Sunny thought to himself.

Well, he couldn't very well let down all this people... not to mention he could show off various of his techniques and he also got to shoot his weapons.

He produced his other weapon with his magic and took both of them in his hands.

Afterwards, he readied several coins and threw them all in the air at once and at different heights.

It was all according to plan.

Sunny then shot all 12 of his bullets, making them ricochet against the coins and staying in flight for quite a while.

The 12 bullets all followed different paths, never colliding, and going in cycles to repeat their flight path.

The group of coins and bullets never once faltered or did they get out of the group of coins Sunny prepared. Thanks to the speed of the bullets, the group of coins and bullets slowly fell to the floor.

Knowing that when that happened, the bullets would get out of control, Sunny was quick to make the bullets and both of his weapons disappear.

The group of coins fell safely to the ground. It was hard to calculate all of that, but the following applause made it all worth it.

"All right, that's it from me." The marksman said, leaving more than one person with their jaw hanging.

Without a proper explanation, Sunny turned on his heel and left the stage he prepared by the left.

"Time to take a stroll and find a cool napping spot." The man said, yawning. "Well, that was taxing. I need a recharging nap."

Travis sat across the table from a large burly man in a lumberjack's flannels with a voluminous beard. Both spat into their hands, then slammed their elbows on the table before locking their grips together.

"Ready?!" the judge called, putting his hands over theirs. "On your mark...get set..."

They locked eyes. Travis grinned. The lumberjack snorted like a bull and tensed his arm.

"Go!"

There was a flash of light, and the lumberjack stared in awe as his own meaty fist was now suddenly dwarfed by a gigantic bear's paw with blue fur. But he quickly regained his composure, and both contestants grunted as they engaged in a battle of muscle. Their arms trembled, but slowly, inches at a time, Travis gained the upper hand. The lumberjack sucked air, a vein popping in his forehead. He halted the boy's advance...even managed to start pushing back! Travis grinned maniacally and leaned forward. There was a moment of hesitance as they reached a stalemate...

Then Travis let out a roar of triumph as he slammed his opponent's arm down on the table, practically tipping the platform.

"And your champion--still reigning after seven matches--Trrrraaaavis ZIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEGlaaaaaaaaaaaar!" The mage stood up in his seat, clasping his normal hand inside the bear's and shaking both fists at the crowd.

"Ain't using magic cheatin'!?" the big man said, shaking his sore arm.

"Dude, this is a mage's guild festival! Using magic is half the fun!" Travis said. His arm transformed back with another light show, and he rotated his shoulder with a popping sound as he smirked. "But if ya wanna go again, I'll give ya a rematch, and no spells this time! I'll still win!" Turning his head towards the sky arrogantly, he laughed loudly.

Xae Kyvirn

As people walked around, enjoying the festival in it's entirety, a walking mound of prizes would make it's way through the crowds, humming a happy tune as it did so. Those who manuevered around this mound would see the silver hair and purplish grey skin of Golem's Hand mage, Xae Kyvirn. He was dressed in a thin black jacket, violet shirt, dark blue jeans, and a pair of worn brown boots to complete the deal. The young man had obviously been very busy this morning cleaning out the prize stalls. He had always been weirdly skilled at thesd sorts of games, as the more rigged it seemed against him, the better he got within the first few rounds before he won . . . not that Xae was aware of their being a chance of the games being rigged against him though. As far as he was concerned, every game here was one of skill and chance, and if you didn't win, it was simply becausd you were lacking in one of those areas.

"Ahhh, I love this Festival so much, it's full of games, friends, and best of all, great food. My mouth is just watering at the thought of tearing into some of the Golem-pot pies. But first, I've got to put all of my sweet loot awa-aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyy!"

While Xae had been walking and talking to himself(something he tended to do when things got to quiet for his liking, no matter how weird it looked), he failed to notice that one of his prizes, a chibi toy version of himself that he had to get as soon as he saw it, had been jostled free from the top of the mound, falling down to the ground in front of him. Within seconds, Xae had stepped on in just the right way to suddenly lose his balance falling forward into the unfortunate form of Amaterasu as they turned the corner. The two would likely go doen in a flurry of limbs, stuffed animals and assorted candy, and after a small amount of flaling on Xae's part, would find themselves in a bit of a compromising position with Xae on top of Amaterasu, the two being eye-level with each other for the whole of a second. In this second, Xae felt his hand on something round, soft, and covered in fabric, amd he very much doubted it was one of his prizes, and this realization quickly caused his skin to instantly turn bone-white as he nearly hurled himself off the woman and crawled away backwards from his fellow guildmate.

"imsorryamaterasuididntmeantofalliwasjustpassingthroughanditrippedandifellandyouwerethereandiwasthereandthingshappenedmistakesweremadesothebottomlineiwanttogetacrossissimply: PLEASE DON'T BURN ME AGAIN, I'M REALLY SORRY!!!!"

As Xae prepared to bolt for the guild hall in an attempt to escape from the crazy pyro-woman who he'd just given reason to light him up for the something-th time, he spotted a familiar figure lazing his way through the crowd. Seeing possible sanctuary(or a sacrificial lamb to be offered in his stead), Xae launched off the ground to hide behind Sunny, starimg worriedly at the prone woman.

"sunnyimadeamistakeabdnowithinkamaterasusgoingtoburnmeagainsocanyoupleasepleasepleasepleasepleasepleasehelpme.!?!?" The God Slayer begged the sniper mage for assistance in the same rapid-fire manner of nearly incomprehensible gibberish that he'd spouted at Amaterasu, never taking his eyes off the woman and prepared to run in case she decide to burn first, ask questions later. He could still feel the heat from the last time she'd decided to exercise her desire for igniting living things on him, as it had only been a week ago. Luckily, he'd been near the lake shore and had extinguished himself before any further harm could be done, having switched to Ky and using Twilight God's Veil to escape.

Why does she seem to like burning me more than othee people? I've never done anything to her! Xae held his head low, grumbling under his breath about how this crazy fire woman saw him as nothing more than kindling.

"Not in her room, not in the basement, and not in the storage wing..." Grumbled a dark haired young woman as she made her way down a set of stairs towards the main guild hall. Her flowing, sky blue dressed fluttering about her with her brisk, purposeful movements. She stopped on the stairs overlooking the hall, filled with its many members. A mass of friendly faces she called her family, all moving about and enjoying themselves. Talking about old missions or new ones to come, sharing stories, laughter and good times. She saw so many familiar faces but not the one she was hunting for. It had a warm, friendly atmosphere. One that felt like home the instant you stepped inside.

"First Ceri disappears and isn't in any of our normal hiding places, and now I'm making Miss Adrasia wait after talking her into this in the first place." she waved her hand towards Illedrith and shots to her over the noise of the hall. "Sorry for the wait Miss! I'll have found Ceri soon, I promise."

Klisa took a few steps back up the stairs, to get away from the noise, and closed her eyes. She slowly began to block out her senses one by one and began to focus on her sense of smell. Second generation dragon slayer or not it came with more perks than just a lost magic. It came with a boost to her several of her normal sense. hearing, sight, taste, and of course smell. After a few moments she caught it. The familiar scent of her dear friend Ceri. She turned her face up the stairs and quirked a brow. "Found a new spot, huh?"
She followed the path of the scent up and up and up, till she found herself at the window near the top of the guilds structure, where the tree's branches began. She opened a window and stepped out onto one of the huge, walk way sized branches. It was high up, but she felt fairly certain she wouldn't fall, nor would the fall into the water below likely do her much harm. She walked the twisty path of giant branches till she found her friend sitting down on none, looking out over the lake and the town in the distance.

The young dragon slayer slowly walked up to her friend and took a seat next to her. She was silent for a moment, taking in the view, before she began to speak softly.

"Hey Ceri... Nice spot you found here. Quite, private, and the view is rather nice as well." She paused for a moment, collecting her thoughts and her words. "I know your nervous...I am too. But, I believe the only way we can ever get past our unease with others is to put ourselves out there every now and then. It can be scary and feel like all eyes are on us. But you don't have to worry, we can leave if it becomes to much, Miss Adrasia will be there with us...and I'll be there with you." She reached out a open hand to her friend and gave her a gentle smile. "So...won't you please come to the festival with me?"

Allison Levinart

While everyone is enjoying the festival that was going on in the real world, Allison's mind was lost in an internal mirage of sounds and music. She was ultimately ecstatic after winning a game at shooting arrows and her prize was a big brown teddy bear! This was already a very good day for her! Now's she quietly sitting down on a bench, with music blasting into her ears and hums the said tune while holding her teddy bear tightly in her free arm.

Suddenly, her eye drags her to what appears to be an ice cream cart trolling nearby. Ice cream! That is one of her favorite sweets, especially rainbow popsicles. I wonder if he sold any? She then runs off the the cart attendant and slam several coins in front of him, which also happened to startle said person.

"ONE RAINBOWLICOUS POPSICLE PLEASE!" yells Allison as her headphones still blared out music.

The startled man then rummaged through the box, checking every nook and cranny for said popsicle, but...

"I'm-a-sorry mam'." he answered back unsurely with a heavy accent, "But I'm-a-afraid that I-a-don't-a-have one."

"WHAT?" the woman asked again, not hearing what he said.

"I said, I'm-a afraid I don't-a-have the Rainbow-a-licious popsicle you-a-wanted!"

"HOLD ON!" Allison answers as she then dives into the box herself.

It would take just a few seconds before she has something in her teeth.

"Ah! Thersh it ish!" she then says with relief through her teeth, "Thanks ice cream man!"

The Ice Cream man was already shocked. He could've sworn he had none left! Let alone that he feared he would've let the girl down if it weren't for her happy-go-lucky-positive attitude. Nevertheless, he just scratches his head as he grabs the coins and continues troding along. Meanwhile, Allison begins to suck on the popsicle, the music still blaring in her ears, and begins to walk around the festival. Perhaps she can find someone to talk to on her way...

Ria Tsurara

Everyone else is chilling in this village called Luna, after Allison bought her ice cream, a girl of the ice that is around 5 flat tall, long black hair and brown eyes yelled that she wants an ice cream too. "Your shop give them to me?" She demanded.

"ehhh/.....you cray cray? BUT IF IT'S.... money then I'll take it!" The ice cream man is already delighted at the girl's want. "Fine then, here 30,000 jewels. Not just your ice cream but your ice supplies as well." She gave the money with no hesitation but the ice cream man tried to stop her but she insisted. "ST---" The girl, yes she is wearing an outfit that resembles a school uniform and quickly strips down to a lesser form of it. Need not worry for it is not revealing but it still shows skin, she is now wearing short-shorts and her top which looks like a bra, she still maintains her long socks which is thigh length. Not to mention she shove her clothes right into the ice cream man's face.

From a back angle, the guild mark is visibly seen at her back, which is the Harpy's Wing guild mark. "Now.. now, I'll lose business here if you do---UUUGGHHH!" The girl froze the ice cream man and dig in to her icy treat. "WHATEVER! FREEZE!"
"Here I go!" In a flash she consumed all the ice cream and ice supplies and there were no ice cream and ice left. "There now I am cooled up." She grins as not only she got her icy treat but not having to pay for anything is also a good treat considering the ice cream man is now in Popsicle, if anyone tells her to pay she'll pay anyway. "The name is Ria and all your ice cream are mine!" She exclaimed and created an ice throne to chill while crossing her legs. She does this every time there is an ice cream booth in a festival.

Yes, her name is Ria Tsurara. My name is Ria Tsurara!

~Ceri~

High atop the guild, sat a girl in a blue robe. The robe obscured her appearance for the most part, only a few locks of white hair ever being seen aside from her bright blue eyes and the occasional showing of pale skin. She hardly ever took it off, except to bathe or to wash it, and she never had done that with someone else, and the hood always seemed to stay firmly in place even if it was messed with. Needless to say, no one in the guild had ever actually seen her face, save for possibly two of her closest friends, Klisa and Illedrith.

She should probably be with them, today, actually. It was a festival after all and she did want to go see what kinds of delicious foods they had. She had heard all kinds of people talk about it in the town recently, and she couldn't help but to be curious about it. Two small problems though. One, it was a festival held by their rival guild, and while she didn't dislike any of them except that one guy, she was never really confident around them by herself, and realistically speaking she'd likely run into them.

Secondly, she was never a fan of crowds to begin with, and she'd be lying if she said she was terrified of going, just a tiny bit.

So, out of a bit of fear and not knowing what to do, she had climbed to the top of the guilds base and found a rather relaxing spot. Her legs were dangling over the edge of the branch, swinging idly as she watched the town in the distance. For someone so timid, it didn't seem like she had much of a fear of heights. She could hear a few sounds of the festival all the way up here, and she might just have contented herself with just sitting here for the rest of the day, had Klisa not found her.

She heard the dragon slayer before she saw her. It could be said her hearing was on par with Klisa's sense of smell, considering she often fought using it instead of her sight.

Klisa took a seat next to her, commenting on the spot she found.

"Ehe...it's pretty nice...quiet, and the breeze is pretty nice too." She replied, agreeing with Klisa. She turned her head to her friend, giving her a small, gentle smile from under her hood - though Klisa wouldn't be able to see it. It quickly wilted into an unsure frown as Klisa continued speaking, though, causing her to turn her gaze towards the ground far below them.

Klisa was right, of course. The only thing that would help her get over this was just going out there and meeting people. Plus, she'd love nothing more than to go to the festival with Klisa and Mis, but she still wasn't sure about it. The chances of something bad happening were quite high. Higher than the tree she was currently sitting in.

She turned back to Klisa, seeing her smile and the hand held out to her. An invitation like that? She couldn't possibly refuse. She didn't want to upset her, after all, and well...if Klisa and Mis was with her...well, maybe everything would turn out fine.

"A-ah...uhm," She stuttered. Her face turned a bit red under the robe as she tried to form a decent sentence, causing her to grab the edge of her hood with both hands in an attempt to pull it further down her face. "Y-you're right..." She quietly replied, releasing her hood. "It's a festival...so we should go have fun, and u-uhm, love to go with you..." She took Klisa's hand, and stood before adding a bit quickly. "A-and Mis."

Agreeing to go to the festival, Ceri and Klisa made their way off of the branch, and back down to the floor of the guild where Illedrith was waiting for them. Thankfully, now that Ceri was a little motivated they made it to her in only a few moments. Upon seeing her, Ceri gave Illedrith a friendly wave, the long sleeve of her robe hiding her hand and instead caused it to flop around rather comically. She walked over to Illedrith, completely calm. If there was one person Ceri was most comfortable around, it would be Mis.

"Hi, Mis." She quietly greeted her, fidgeting a bit under her robe. "Sorry for making you wait..."

Still didn't stop her from being timid, though.

"It's a beautiful day outside! Birds are singing and flowers are blooming! On days like these, you should be out there enjoying the sunlight!"

Despite the noise of the common area of the guildhall, Illedrith's cheerful voice cut through the clutter like a knife through butter. Used to her 'occasionally excessive' volume, the fellow guildies just grinned at the familiar scene. With her one of her adorable little sisters off looking for the other one, Illedrith had been using the spare time to mercilessly pester the biggest layabout in the guild, Odinn. She'd been too busy earlier in the day, making sure that all the younger groups going to the festival had everything they needed (including a stern warning that if they caused any trouble she'd hunt their asses down) and preparing for her own foray into town, but now she had all the time in the world.

"Besides, what with everyone leaving for the festival, there won't be anyone left here for you to scab drinks off! They'll have better stuff at the festival anyway you know, and I might even be nice enough to buy you if you can deign to drag yourself down there..."

Despite her seemingly harsh words, the whole tirade was delivered with a grin, as it was more of a playful jab by Illedrith than an actual wholehearted attempt to get him out of the bar. As she finished speaking, she noticed that Klisa had returned from her hunt, and that Ceri was with her. Seeing the two of them walking down the stairs together made her face split into a massive smile, they were just too cute together for her to handle. As they walked over, Illedrith turned away from Odinn to face them; he wouldn't be going anywhere.

"Hi, Mis. Sorry for making you wait..."

As Ceri began to fidget, Illedrith stepped forward and swept her into a big hug, doing her best not to jab her with the pointy bits of her armor.

"Ceriiii!! You decided to come, I'm so proud of you! Excellent work, K! We're gonna have a great time, and I promise I won't let either of you get lost or leave you alone!"

Letting the captive Ceri go, Illedrith turned back to look at where Odinn was.

"And if you decide to come down, you're more than welcome to join us in our festivities, right up until the point where you lose yourself to the liquor."

~~~
The walk down into the town was both lovely and uneventful, with the midday sun providing a perfect temperature for the festivities of the day. Illedrith had chosen to forego her typical full-plate rig for a light summer dress, though she still had the light portions of her armor on, and her trusty halberd strapped to her back in its short form, looking to all the world like an over-sized axe. Cheerfully greeting the shop keeps and stall owners on their way to the center of town, everything was going splendidly. That was true until she saw the back of a large ice throne.
Illedrith didn't even need to see the person sitting in the throne to know whose handiwork this was. As she approached it, she called out loudly to its creator.
"Ria, what have you done this t-AAAHH!"
It was at this point that she noticed the man, dressed in festival garb and frozen over entirely in ice.
"AGAIN?!? Ria, you can't keep freezing random citizens in blocks of ice like this!! Don't you remember how angry the guildmistress was at you last time?? What were you thinking? Unfreeze him immediately!"
Amaterasu Lee
Amaterasu was simply busy minding her own business during the festival. Now that she thought about it, everyone would probably be avoiding her at all costs: fearing that she may burn them. Not that Amaterasu minded, she preferred being all alone without anyone's company. It was just the way she was and nobody else can stop them delicate hands of hers to burst into flames. Looking at the sky, she would remember why she was named Amaterasu in the first place… she was named that because of the type of day it was. Maybe that’s why she was also given the gift of fire in the first place?? What if she knew both, but didn’t know?? She shook her thoughts aside, she was a fire user and she was proud of it.
Suddenly, a few moments after her thinking spree, she felt someone bump into them and she landed on the floor with the dude on top of her… it was Xae being himself. But what he did was actually pretty embarrassing. He was groping her. Literally. He had his hand on her chest. Her growl becoming more dominant quickly. Luckily he backed off quickly and did a runner. She only wanted to get food, is this how she gets repaid for searching?? “Nuuugghhh…” She scowled, strangely enough, she didn’t burn him that time. Amaterasu thought that she would probably burn the poor guy later, they always seemed to bump into each other one way or another and this is why she burns him a lot.
Continuing her stroll, she finally found the stall which was serving food, and Amaterasu licked her lips. Ordering what she wanted and sitting down by herself to eat up the delicacy that was being held in her hands.
Vega Ashworth | The Festival
Having only lived in Luna Crescente for less than a year, this was the first time he's attended the annual anniversary festival for Golem Hand. The idea of festivities though didn't appeal to him, isolation and solitude was something he was more familiar with, so he chose instead to only observe from a ways off somewhere eating a meal. Although occasionally he would walk around just to take a look at everything, the civilians tended to avoid eye contact with him and generally cleared out of the way. On one such walk he felt a chill breeze cross the air around him...
"Haaaahh....", he lowly sighed with almost disgust. This chill was familiar and unmistakable.
"AGAIN?!? Ria, you can't keep freezing random citizens in blocks of ice like this!! Don't you remember how angry the guildmistress was at you last time?? What were you thinking? Unfreeze him immediately!"
And that voice... Harpy Wing? In this festival...? Somehow the idea didn't sit well with him at all. There was no rational reason, he just disliked them. He turned his attention to the source of the commotion. He saw them, two of them, Harlot Wigs, names? Ria and Ill-something, he forgot. "Unfreeze him immediately", he mockingly muttered to himself. With a rapid and fine motion he swept his hand out of his right side pocket and did an underarm throwing motion, a wisp of black appeared, quickly solidifying before it struck the frozen man. It destroyed the magic that froze him, but also knocked him over.
"Well well well, two little harlots appear in a Golem event and they attack the citizenry? Tch tch tch. That's no good... Maybe you two ought to leave", he began as he entered the scene. His tone both condescending and passive aggressive. The townspeople began to slowly disperse, with Vega appearing here, there was a pretty high chance something was going to go down.
Interacting with:
Vega, @Sho Minazuki
Illedrith, @Lord SawSaw2 & co.
Ria, @Masaki Haruna
Rei had been out for doing an S class job in his lonesome, it wasn't a simple job, he had to be a bodyguard of some official. He didn't really like this official after observing him for a while, but a job's a job, unsurprisingly he had alot of enemies and was frequently attacked but fortunately they were usually just A-Class wizards of a dark guild. Seeing a dark guild member made Rei seethe with rage, but not enough to murder, just enough for pain.
Walking through the gates of Luna Crescente, the loud music hit his ears and so did the festivities. Rei knew that today was the anniversary of the guild's founding, but while he didn't really care too much about yearly traditions, he made en exemption. The guildmaster instructed him to be back on the day the anniversary was being held, fearing the worst.
The hem of his cloak danced against the wind, revealing his dark inner clothing. It was noted that the weather and everything was perfect for this anniversary as he walked through the streets. As he approached the tall, grandeur building of Golem's Hand, there were decorations, stands and the like for festivals set up all over. He noticed a few notable and familiar faces, particularly from both guilds, Harpy and Golem. While he didn't mind too much, his guild members or the others might try and start something.
Treading through the crowd of people, it seems like most of them either ignored him but seemed scared whenever they met his cold gaze. Rei didn't notice his resting face was sharp, intimidating and foreboding, so they simply turned away as a bead of sweat ran down their face. Rei always wondered why this was so, but quickly dismissed it as it was not important.
A familiar voice rang against the sea of noise,
"AGAIN?!? Ria, you can't keep freezing random citizens in blocks of ice like this!! Don't you remember how angry the guildmistress was at you last time?? What were you thinking? Unfreeze him immediately!"
It was Illedrith, an old friend of his whom he just recently started reconnecting with. Apparently she was shouting at someone who had iced over the civilian selling icecream. Normally he would have walked off to report to the guild about his job completion, he though Illedrith could handle and reprimand her himself. Before he could, the guild's most notorious trouble maker chimed in;
"Well well well, two little harlots appear in a Golem event and they attack the citizenry? Tch tch tch. That's no good... Maybe you two ought to leave"
Vega Ashworth, the one he was tasked to keep an eye on by the guildmaster, even without the task he would still do so. Rei stepped in between him and her, his back turned to Illedrith and her company. His frigid and numbing scowl growing more tense as he stared at Vega.
"Enough." Rei said, his voice an unnatural pang of stiffness, most likely because he hadn't spoken in his job, preferring silence and speaking when necessary, "The guildmaster had arranged this event as the founding of the guild, not for the purpose of prohibiting Harpy's Wings members from joining. If you have a problem with this decision, take it with me." Rei continued, activating his magic, making the gravity close to him strengthen, even slightly affecting Illedrith and her company.
He tilted his head around slightly, and halfway faced Ria and Illedrith, his scowl still present, though not meaning too, "Ria, I would advice you not to propagate the misuse of your powers at our festival." he said, his voice still cold as ice, "Illedrith reprimand her as needed."
Vega Ashworth | The Festival
Before anything could happen, a voice that irritated him most rang out, and immediately he looked to see it. Rei, his devilish smile immediately became a frown of disdain. The one person in the guild that was capable of keeping him from going wild, and it peeved him. His gravity magic began to slightly come out, and immediately in response he began exuding the dark aura around him, cancelling it, but this was only out of his own selfish want for comfort. He wasn't about to let Rei just freely walk all over him, but there was no way there weren't going to be consequences if he tried fighting him now, or rather, he felt he hasn't obtained anything to help him beat Rei yet.
"Hmph... Do what you want", he said, turning around and away from the mess, after shooting everyone some dirty looks. There's got to be something actually fun around here. The food isn't bad, but he's already had his fill... He needs a little something to burn it.
"Zzzzzzzzzzz..."
In the middle of an alleyway, in a part of town where a certain mage did not know his way around, a suit of armor leaned on a halberd, large snoring noises coming out of the helmet. The point was embedded in the ground, with the suit's head leaning on the handle. Slowly, but surely, the head began to slowly move, making moaning sounds that would come from someone who had not had enough sleep.
Finally, the figure removed his helmet, and under it was the white hair and pale face of Ethan Larcia, better known as motion.
"H...how long was i asleep?" He asked no one in perticular. His vision was fuzzy, and he coukdnt tell the exact time. He hadnt slept before in the last three days. He would just keep going, and going, practising his magic, goofing around, over and over...until he just collapsed from exhaustion in a random place and slept for twenty-four hours straight. It wasnt healthy in the slightest. Ethan knew that, but in all honesty, he didnt perticularly care. There was always more to do...
Finally, after a few minutes, he realized that he wasn't going to get to sleep. There was something going on, and there was far too much noise for him to rest again. Finally, he picked himself up, using his halberd as a defacto cane, and staggered out of the alleyway, only to be met with the sight of a festival.
"That was today?! Why didn't anyone tell me? Oh. right, they probably did... I don't know what anyone tells me anymore. Usually its something like, "Hey Ethan, stop wrecking all those buildings" or, "Hey Ethan, you shouldn't fight so much!" or even "Hey Ethan, stop goofing around in your S-Class promotion trial!"
He looked around.
"...the hell am i talking to, anyway?"
He walked around for a moment, wondering what he should do. He hoped he hadnt wrecked anything the night before, his memory was still a tad fuzzy. If so, he was going to get one hell of a yelling at if he got back to the guild.
He stopped for a moment, noticing a familiar face sitting by herself. He strolled over, cheerfully sitting near them.
"Hey there! You are that golem's hand mage that likes burning people, arent you! Good for you! Heat is such a cool thing to fight with, as i can testify. I don't suppose you have the time do you? I fell asleep in an alley way last night and ive completely lost track of time."
~Ceri~
"Eeep!" Was all Ceri could respond to the hug with. Not that she really minded a hug from Illedrith, quite the opposite. She was just startled by the rather suddenness of the act. Still, she returned the hug as best she could, already feeling much better about this whole thing. Illedrith's words, giving the small girl much needed comfort, and when she finally released Ceri, the small girl only gave a quiet giggle, giving Klisa a grin from under her hood.
Maybe today wouldn't be so bad after all.
The walk to town was uneventful for the three of them. Ceri was of course, dressed in her blue robe and sticking close to Klisa. So far, things had been quiet. Fairly pleasant, even, much to Ceri's delight. The people were pretty friendly, though she still didn't like the crowds, but as long as she didn't get separated from Mis or Klisa, she'd be fine.
The peace didn't last long, though.
"Ria, what have you done this t-AAAHH! AGAIN?!? Ria, you can't keep freezing random citizens in blocks of ice like this!! Don't you remember how angry the guildmistress was at you last time?? What were you thinking? Unfreeze him immediately!"
The sudden shouting caused Ceri to instinctively flinch, taking a few steps back from Illedrith and moving closer towards Klisa. As much as she liked her, loud noises would never be a welcome thing for Ceri, even if it was one of her friends doing the shouting. Of course, she didn't say anything though. Mis was right - Ria, a guild mate had frozen someone. That was rather mean, and something she might have reprimanded Ria for if she was asked her opinion on it.
"Well well well, two little harlots appear in a Golem event and they attack the citizenry? Tch tch tch. That's no good... Maybe you two ought to leave"
And then things got worse. Much worse.
She recognized the voice immediately. Vega Ashworth. Out of everyone in the golem's hand guild, aside from that other creepy guy she forgot the name of, she disliked him the most. Aside from him constantly messing with her, he liked to shove and push her. She had already told both Klisa and Mis about these incidents, but he still seemed keen on doing it. She simply fixed the man with a harsh glare from under her robe, though it didn't stop her from wilting and hiding behind Klisa just ever so slightly.
"Enough."
The voice was loud enough to be heard by their little group. Ceri was too focused on Vega to react much though, still fixing him with a wary glare as the new person walked up. She didn't like fighting, not at all, but she was honestly tired of Vega's bullshit. The next time he did something, she might very well teach him a lesson herself. Last time she had said some rather unkind things to him, and she'd likely do it again.
"The guildmaster had arranged this event as the founding of the guild, not for the purpose of prohibiting Harpy's Wings members from joining. If you have a problem with this decision, take it with me. Ria, I would advice you not to propagate the misuse of your powers at our festival. Illedrith reprimand her as needed."
Ceri noted the other person was another member of Golem's Hand. Rei, she believed his name was. She didn't know much about him, other than she thought he was rather intimidating, though after this incident she might have to re-evaluate her assumptions a little, though he was still intimidating. Maybe just a bit more friendly then she thought, especially considering he got rid of Vega. That earned him quite a few points in her book, though she still didn't seem to relax quite so much with him there.
"A-ah...M-maybe we could get...something to eat?" She quietly asked Klisa and Mis. She was a bit hungry, and that was one of the reasons she wanted to be here, too. Plus she could go for something to distract her from the rather close brush with Vega.
Sunny
Ky suddenly coming over and hiding behind him would've made most surprised. Sunny, however, only raised an eyebrow at the sudden appearance of the God Slayer.
'Oh, it's Xae.' He thought to himself once the boy machinegunned words out. Ky would never do that, certainly.
He didn't get on his guard nor flinch either when he told him that Amaterasu was coming after him. Yeah, he had eyed some of that before.
"Well, that's what you get for having the luck of an eroge protagonist. She isn't even coming over. I guess you just entered the Amaterasu rute, boy."
Sun dismissed the boy with a motion of his hand. He was eager to go take a nap, in any case. Then, he spotted Vega, Alledrith... Elledrith? Whatever she was called, and an ice throne. Rei also came into the picture and there was a frozen man there.
Sunny decided to approach the scene as well. Despite everything, Sun was as dedicated to the guild's philosophy as he was to fighting.
He approached the scene and heard that Illedrith was actually already scolding Ria for what she had done. Good.
"I am afraid I must also intervene, as much of a pain as that can be." There was also Ceri over there and Klisa. Yeah, a gathering of Harpies. "I see that miss Elledrith," he was sure he was getting the name wrong, but well, he could only correct himself later, "has already taken steps as to what Ria should do. Vega was able to take care of it this time, but I do hope that an incident like this will not be repeated in the future."
He then turned to little sister material Ceri and smiled at her. Of course, the smile would most definitely be taken the wrong way if it was coming from Sunny, but he was dead serious about what he was saying.
"You cause quite some trouble, and I believe it my duty not to let any citizen come to harm... though I'm not sure that cryo-sleep is harmful in any way." The lazy marksman scratched the back of his head. "In any case, I'm not exactly asking for a fight, just tellin' ya to be more careful. I'm out, and I want to sleep."
Sunny turned on his heel and yawned. Well, what should he do now? In all honesty, he kind of expected for a fight to break out but it seems the sloth goods were on his side today.
Travis Ziegler
Travis walked down the street with an extra pep in his step, hands in the pockets of his jacket and humming a tune to himself. A big medal with two muscular arms clasping fists hung around his neck.
"Hm, what next?" His winnings--nothing spectacular, but enough to spend on the festivities--jingled in his pocket. "Of course! Ain't a carnival without carnie food!"
As he made his way through the bustling thoroughfare, however, he came across one of his guildmates. And the other man didn't look happy about something.
@Sho Minazuki"Yo, Vega!" he called out. "Quit scarin' the kids, man!" It was mostly a prod at the other mage, but at the same time Travis wondered what might be going on. Vega was a jerk, in his opinion, but surely even his attitude wouldn't be so sour on a day like today, right? "What's goin' on? Somebody piss in your cereal or somethin'?"
Amaterasu Lee
“Hmm… this is delicious” Amaterasu mumbled to herself, smiling softly to herself and eating it all up. She seemed to really enjoy the food, what she noticed was that the food was cooked with love. Food that was initially cooked in this manner was the best food in her opinion, it shows the effort that was put in. Food can truly be a mystery in the eyes of the beholder, so can love. But love was a completely different matter; and she couldn’t care less about the feelings of love: they sucked.
The red-dressed girl finally finished her yum yums and looked up to the sky, it really was a perfect day for the festival. The weather was beautiful and there didn’t seem to be a cloud in sight (from her end anyway, she doesn’t know about everywhere else). She wondered where the others were though… they were probably busy being themselves as always. Everyone in Golem’s hand seemed to have their own little ‘quirk’ so to say. Amaterasu’s was her love to burn everyone regardless of who they were, she can be very kind towards people; but that can be very difficult for her to do in public. But to her, burning people can be pretty entertaining.
Looking to her side, she spotted a male coming towards her. She can’t specifically remember his name, but probably because she has never burned him before. Looking to the side to give the male a cold shoulder despite his greeting.
“Yes… I am…” She turned her face towards him again and blinked twice; her smile was cold, even her body language and the way she spoke to him was pretty much emotionless. “My name is Amaterasu, Ama for short. Yes, I love to burn people…” she mentioned as her hand turned into a flame. Ready to burn him. “Yes, I can tell you the time though. It is the time to burn you”
So far everything had been going better than expected. Klisa was feeling fine for the time being, and Ceri seemed about as relaxed as she ever got in situations like this. The festival was full of energy but it wasn't overly loud yet, perhaps as the festivities lingered on and people became more drunk or more folks arrived to the enjoy themselves it would grow to unbearable levels of noise and crowd, but for the time being She could handle this. Especially with her friends by her side.
But it seemed the pleasantness wasn't meant to last. First they came across their guilds devil slayer, who had frozen a frozen treat vendor and was helping herself to the treats. Yeah she probably actually bought them all, but stripping down like that, making an opulent ice throne and freezing a man over slating her elemental hunger. Granted, Klisa herself understood the demands of having a deep rooted elemental hunger, sometimes it could be quite a powerful craving. but luckily it wasn't hard to find water here in crescent valley. Even if it was fresh water. Even so, this was a repeat offense, and lord knows that this was probably the worst place for someone from her guild to start causing trouble.
She welcomed Ceri closer to her as Mis began her chiding of their overly rambunctious guild mate. Klisa herself had grown more accustom to Mis's level of out bursts in the 5 years she had spent at the guild. And with the almost two years they had Ceri as a part of their little crew this sort of situation had been fairly normal. Ceri fining shelter from Mis's outbursts behind the more comfortable and quite Klisa. Klisa certainly didn't mind Ceri being comfortable being close to her that was for certain.
But thing went from bad to worst. Vega. A Golem hand guild member, and someone who apparently took joy in tormenting Ceri from time to time. As Ceri took a more full position behind Klisa, Klisa herself made sure she was between Vega and Cari, one arm out stretched to her side giving her a defensive almost possessive stance in front of the hooded girl.
She had promised herself that she wouldn't let anyone mess with Ceri on her watch, and if the slime ball so much as spent a harsh word on her friend there would be hell to pay. her glare was unintentionally harsh and her teeth gritted, the canine teeth starting to grow more fang like in response to her ire and rising draconic magic. Which was of course not at all helped by the appearance of Sunny. Sunny had never done anything bad to either of them, not that she could prove at least...but she certainly didn't like his presence or they why he looked at Ceri.
At this point Klisa was all but ready to toss our her sea dragon roar, grab Ceri by the hand and start halling ass. But luckily for all involved it seemed cooler heads would prevail. Sunny left on his own accord and another Golem hand member seemed to scare off Vega. The tension left her body swiftly with a long slow sigh, which produced a small misty puff that smelt of summer sea air.
At this point the suggestion of food sounded great. She gave Ceri a small smile and nodded her head "Sounds like a good plan to me. Mis, shall we head to the food stand together, or shall we go start looking while you talk with Ria?"
