Their will and endless greed allows them to grow and ascend past other creatures
But their mortality denies them divinity

It's a delightful purgatory between being Fallen and being Divine"

Ayita felt the force of the strange rift dragging her, the entire experience was far from enjoyable due to the sheer pressure and the forces that felt like they could tear her very limbs off her body and the panic Ayita was feeling. After what appeared to be minutes, she fell on the ground with an audible impact. Despite her dizziness and the blurry vision, she immediately knew there was something wrong. The air was different... Where was the fire, the other Cherokee and the white men who cowardly invaded their lands? Not only that but when her vision finally got clearer she realized that she wasn't on the great plains she and the other Cherokee called home... The air had a different smell and she was in the middle of a dense forest...

Agitated and confused, Ayita got up with a jump, looking around as she tried to situate herself. Where was her mother, the other Cherokee, the white invaders? No... No, no, no! She had to go back! Her father was still fighting, she was one of the best fighters who stayed behind to protect the village! Without her the chances her mother and the rest of the tribe survived was... honestly, small... But no matter what she did, there was just no sign of whatever it was the strange rift who dragged her there. It was gone as suddenly as it appeared.

After a few minutes confused and in shock, she finally realized that whatever it had happened that brought her to that strange place, wouldn't happen again. With nothing left to do but to wait for the morning, Ayita climbed on the branch of a tree, using a few leaves to protect her from the cold of the night. Sleep didn't come easily for the Cherokee girl that night... Away from home, with no hope to return and unable to protect those whom she held dear, the only thing Ayita could do was to softly sing the name of those whom she left behind and were presumed to be dead. According to her people's traditions, she continued singing, a soft, sad lament, her voice carried in the cold, night breeze, around the trees and forest as nothing more than a faint whisper in the wind.
@PaulHaynek

Was waiting for you to mention it ^^
Freyr

@AzureKnight@PaulHaynek@Restalaan@Lmpkio

As Freyr continued running towards the loud sounds of battle, he could only think what would he able to do to calm down those two. Words were the best he could think... After all, he didn't wanted to hurt them by shooting an arrow on their eyes and... well... He couldn't lift a mountain by himself... Let alone a kaiju.

Thankfully it seemed that others were as worried as he was with the situation. Nagare, who was one of them turned to Freyr as she flew above him, saying she would go ahead to try and calm them down.

"Please do. I don't know what to do if words don't work with them though... Be careful though." Freyr said, nodding towards Nagare with a serious expression. She mentioned she was a bit nervous, not to be surprised. Freyr was as well, he knew what Titanica was able to do and he surely wouldn't stand in front of her if words didn't work, lest he wanted to be obliterated.

Interestingly enough, by what he heard before Titanica and the intruder ran away towards the forest, they seem to know each other. A theory that got confirmed as he heard the Kaijus exchanging words on the distance while they fought. It appeared that both of them were rivals of some sort, even though the intruder was aparently taking all that much more seriously than Titanica herself, that much for their despair, seemed to be enraged.

It was then that an incredibly big explosion blew part of the forest away. The cloud and the debris flying due to the explosion could be seen even from far away, and Freyr felt the strong pressure of the explosion even though he was still far. As he finally reached the site of the explosion, it was clear on just how devastated that part of the forest was due to the debris and the thick smoke covering the area. Strangely enough, even though he was expecting to see both Titanica and the intruder fighting, he saw no one. It was eerily silent, no sound of battle or sight of the two titans anywhere.

As the other members of the guild who went after Titanica began arriving, they seemed to be just as confused as Freyr was.

"How... Where are them?" Freyr asked, clearly confused about all that. Despite the fact that the battlefield was covered in a thick smoke, he wasn't able to see any sign of the two titans and even with his enhanced hearing he wasn't able to hear anything.

Incredibly unique concept! I am very interested!!

Ashkevron Residence in Aren, Askavi

"Regrettably." Mikhail replied to Gennar as he heard his words. Truth be told, he did want that to be solved quickly and without much trouble, since the more people knew about his ability, more probable it would be that his identity got discovered. Unfortunately, it seemed like things wouldn't end without bloodshed. Given their level of skill, it shouldn't be too hard...

But Mikhail had overlooked a small detail about the whole situation, which he only became aware when Denvar stated that it was quite strange that they didn't seem to be prepared at all to fight against Mikhail, let alone against Xandar and Faeril together. It was quite obviously a trap. Now, what where they planning with that? There could be a few reasons... They could have sent those guys there to make Faeril and the others spill blood first, gaining a legitimate reason to go all out on them, or... Somehow they could know that Faeril wasn't home and that could be merely a distraction... No matter what was their objective, Mikhail and the others had already fell into their trap...

Interrupting his thoughts, Mikhail heard the voice of one of the men who was caught on his wired, yelling towards Dareen as he continued to struggle against the wires and fight against her, making them dig deeper and deeper into his flesh. Truth be told, Mikhail was impressed by how brave or maybe foolish the man was. While the others knew that their lives were on Mikhail's hands, he seemed to ignore his situation and kept on struggling and fighting, almost as if he didn't cared about his own life at all...

Dareen eliminated the purple jeweled warrior with a deadly and swift strike to the throat with her saber. She was obviously no stranger to killing and combat. As she praised Mikhail's wired, he couldn't help but let out a discreet smirk himself.

"They are useful, yes." Mikhail said with a chuckle as he saw the excitement and adrenaline on Dareen's voice. She was indeed an amusing woman.

"Firm and swift movements, no hesitation. I see experience... Good job." he said, genuinely impressed as he looked to the purple-jeweled warrior's lifeless body, hanging on his wires.

"That said... Whatever it was their plan, we played right into it. Just as Denvar said, it is simply impossible that they were expecting a positive result by sending this unit to capture both Faeril and Xandar... We might have to flee from the city or at least hide ourselves." Mikhail said with a serious expression as he pulled the wires with a swift movement of his hand, making them tense up violently around the other ones who were tangled upon them and ring with an audible sound, which would clearly cause quite a gory mess. Blood was already spilled, there was no use in holding himself back and not killing anymore. Plus, making a little 'show' always helped in situations like those, dealing a blow on the enemy's morale.

As he did so though, Mikhail noticed a black dome had suddenly appeared right outside the house, around the other nine warriors. Assuming it was Xandar, it was a good sign. If he had returned, Faeril was probably with him. Their arrival was a good sign, still... There were probably worse things to come. It was highly unlikely that the queen had sent just that small unit to deal with Faeril, who was already dangerous by herself but with Xandar as well, who had quite a reputation...
Karina Frost
Týfurkh
Tayla

@13org@Fetzen@Pezz570

The moment Karina's ice blades impaled one of the attackers, she got ready to lunge with her rapier on the remaining one, but she heard Týfurkh's bolt, whistling through the air and hitting the last one straight in the chest, as he fell to the ground dead.

With the two attackers who rushed them having been dealt swiftly by both Karina's ice blades and Týfurkh's bolt, Karina hoped that Tayla would loose her cool after the provocations, unfortunately, it seemed that the death of the two men who rushed them had made her calm herself down and rethink before rushing towards Karina. At that point, Karina herself knew that both sides were in a stalemate, her and Týfurkh were at numeric disadvantage, but due to their positioning and ranged abilities, Tayla wouldn't be able to do anything either. While that could be good in a way for her and Týfurkh, DB was still down there fighting alone.

Surprisingly enough, the moment Karina was starting to think about a plan, she saw the stone wall suddenly disappearing as it got back to it's original shape, revealing Tayla, who was alone behind it. Not really knowing what was happening, Karina immediately summoned two more ice blades, assuming a combat stance, alert to anything that might be happening. What was Tayla's plan? Did she found another route for her allies to surround her and Týfurkh? It was hard to believe that the same woman who had many allies with her was alone now, there were surely more than the three which were killed by Karina and Týfurkh...

Paying attention to Tayla's every movement and her own surroundings, Karina silently waited for her first movement and trying to discover what was Tayla's plan.

For a brief moment Týfurkh could hardly believe what he was seeing. That slimy, unfortunately quite lethal and no less annoying girlie that called herself Tayla appeared to be much more of a borderline imbecile slut that he had thought her to be so far. The warped stone barricade was gone and so were those who apparently had accompanied her and who were not already lying on the floor. A good and a bad feeling started a race up his spine. The good one told him that this might be an unique opportunity born out of sheer chance. The bad feeling objected that this might be a mere trick: She might have rendered her men invisible and they might stab both him and Karina into the back in a moment, or she might have found another way for them to come up here and decided to act as a distraction in the meantime.

Anyway, as long as no other targets were available it would be an act of foolishness to defer shooting at her. The moment Týfurkh's crossbow gave off that satisfying, solid sound of the latch holding the bowstring engaging he pulled up the massive and heavy weapon and aimed right at where Tayla's heart was supposed to be.

What if it would turn out that she didn't even have one ? What if the bolt would merely punch a hole into an otherwise hollow section of her body located between her breasts ? She might very well have exchanged it for her magical capabilities if that was possible at all. This woman couldn't be trusted... And hopefully her life would end right here, right now. Týfurkh pulled the trigger.

Tayla eyed her opponents. She would need to keep them busy to get her plan to work. It would probably be best if she maintained a distance.

She clenched a handful of coins in her right hand. One of the touch deterrent knives remained in her left. Tayla eyed the white haired woman for half a second. Taste or touch? From their previous encounter, Smit believed he narrowed down the woman’s magic typing between those two forms of magic.

She turned her gaze away from the woman and towards the giant who raised his crossbow. She crouched. Tasting sour.

Tayla leapt forward, straightening her legs behind her. She added a linear velocity to three separate objects. Her clothes, her boots and the coins in her hands. The coins shot towards the man at frightening speeds, while the velocities embedded in her clothes and boots launched her upwards and in the direction of the giant.

Her extra boost helped her reach a height and distance unattainable by any normal jump. However, the direction of both velocities were different. The velocity added to her clothes pulled her at a more vertical direction, while he boots more horizontally.

She felt a pain nick the side of her left thigh. The bolt from the crossbow. She had been too slow to fully avoid it. Fortunately it had been just a nick. If it had been anything more, it could have been trouble.

Tayla put her right thumb to the flat of the blade in her hand. The feeling in her thumb went numb from the numbing oil. Unconcerned, she instead focused on the savory taste in her mouth. The blade extruded past the white haired woman. The motion of Tayla’s jump threatened to bring the blade in contact with the woman’s waist.

She didn’t expect the attack to hit. Having fought the woman before, Tayla figured the woman would find some way avoid it and then throw a counter attack of her own. All Tayla needed was to keep the woman occupied and at a distance. So long as she managed that, Tayla could execute her real plan.

Tayla was reaching the apex of her jump. She raised her left hand upwards. It grazed the giant bell above.

As Týfurkh pulled the trigger, making the bolt fly through the air with a wistle, Karina got ready to lunge towards Tayla. She knew that the moment Týfurkh shot, he would have to reload and would be probably vulnerable.

A moment before she did so though, she saw Tayla leaping up and forward with frightening speed as she threw a handful of coins towards Týfurkh. Whatever her plan was, it didn't seem that smart, as she was trying to fight both Týfurkh and Karina on her own. Unless... She was trying to simply stall them, maybe waiting for reinforcements or something.

Unfortunately for Taylah, both Týfurkh and Karina herself knew very well what they were doing. Týfurkh's bolt grazed her left thigh. Something that would certainly affect her ability to move and dodge despite having only grazed her leg.
Before she even completed her jump though, Tayla used her magic to stretch her blade towards Karina, aiming towards her waist.

Thanks to Karina's reflexes, it wasn't hard to parry her attack, delicately redirecting Tayla's blade with her own rapier and by turning her own body as she immediately sent one of her ice blades towards Taylah, aiming to her abdomen.

Even after that though, Karina was still confused to know what Tayla's plan was, thinking hard as she positioned herself to send more ice blades and attack Taylah with a lunge the second she hit the ground. When Taylah got on the very apex of her jump though, she raised her left hand up, towards the bell above them. The second she did so, Karina knew what she was trying to do. She would probably try to make the bell fall on top of them. Unfortunately, Karina didn't have enough time do do anything to stop Taylah, since she was already doing what she had planned.

Opening her eyes wide in surprise, Karina tried to warn Týfurkh.
"UP, THE BEL-" Karina tried to warn Týfurkh.

Týfurkh found it rather hard to believe that Tayla had been able to cause him to miss for the major part of it. Magic seemed to be very strong in that bitch and pretty unknown to him so far, so her jump had come mostly unexpected for him. If it had just happened a few moments later... Needless to say that this was much to Týfurkh's misfortune as now he had effectively run out of projectiles ready to use.

Or had he ?

Tayla's very last volley of coins had managed to cause several bleeding wounds in Týfurkh's face. The pain only helped to make him angry, but now the man had difficulties to keep his eyes clear from the blood running down his forehead. Not only was reloading pretty much impossible with the speed required, but also Týfurkh would have difficulties to aim with his eyesight being impaired this way. However things also meant that now there was a particularly significant number of coins lying on the ground right in front of his feet.

Týfurkh didn't think that Tayla would be able to do much harm towards him while she was relatively high in the air, especially not if he'd crouch in the meantime in order to scoop up as much of those as he could. He collected them in his armored hand, forming a neat, compact pile of loose, heavy metal. This would be good, an attack that maybe would turn out to have been entirely unexpected in the aftermath... Týfurkh started charging the coins with acoustic energy, causing the coins to vibrate violently. It was an invisible force that only revealed itself upon being touched without Týfurkh's magic stabilizing it while the charging process was still underway.

Then he turned around on his heel, reestablished his direct line of sight towards Tayla and anticipated the rough area where she'd come down to the ground again. Due to his actions he had missed her touching the bell in the meantime, but even if not: He currently had no idea what she could do to these things. However Týfurkh perfectly know what would happen if a few of these coins would finally, hopefully, score a full hit: Things would become nasty, probably even a little gory without that much being seen from the outside.

He dropped the crossbow, tossed the pile into Tayla's direction and raised his other hand in order to protect his own eyes from the amount of wooden splinters and other debris that the reaction could potentially produce.

Tayla had already stopped applying velocity to her clothes. She had replaced the sour cotton tuft with the sugary one instead. It accompanied the savory taste already filling her tongue.

Her magic triggered, she imbued the bell with a significant amount of weight. The roofing groaned, followed by several small cracks of stone. A few bits of rubble fell. The ceiling lurched slightly downwards, threateningly. Other than that, nothing happened.

Tayla didn’t have time to complain. An ice blade was flying at her fast. She stopped warping the knife. It instantly returned it to its original shape. She then applied a new warp, stretching the knife into a thin shield.

The shield was still forming by the time the ice blade reached Tayla. She barely managed to get the half formed shield up in time to clip the cold blade of death. Tayla braced herself for whatever the woman was planning.

The ice blade shattered on impact. No tricks, just a normal blade of ice. It surprised her. So much so, she didn’t even notice the recycled coins the giant man had thrown.

Tayla landed on the ground. Her left foot stepping on a single coin. An explosive burst of vibrations shook the ground beneath her left foot. It tore through her boot, shredding the sole to pieces.

Surprise. Shock. Tayla cried out, tears of pain welling in her eyes. She collapsed to her right side on top of land on two more coins. More pain followed.

Dazed, Tayla felt her body rolling. Behind her, she vaguely heard the sound of a few more explosions. The bursts gave way to splinters. She felt a few dig into her back.

Tayla came to a stop. She forced herself to her knees. Her right sleeve was almost entirely shredded. Its cuff hung limply by a single remaining shred of cloth. A modestly sized hole had also been tore through her shirt, along her back right shoulder. She could feel blood beginning to trickle out of both her shoulder and arm.

Her foot had been more fortunate, the boot taking the worst of the blow. Still she could feel a painful bruising that would surely appear in the coming days. That is… if she lived long enough to see another day.

Tayla didn’t have time to ponder what happened. The blow had left her vulnerable. She felt the familiar spike of panic and fear.

The two of them were monsters. What had she been thinking, when she had decided to fight them alone?

Distantly, she heard her father’s shouts of rage. The cracking of wood as he broke down the door. Nowhere to run. Nowhere to hide.

Tayla raised her head. Her eyes wide with terror.
Oooh~ I'm interested!

Still room for one more? XD
Freyr

@ShwiggityShwah

Freyr couldn't help but to let out a discreet smile at the young Ozzy's cheerful personality, curiosity and love for knowledge. While books and knowledge about the Viera were indeed scarce, the boy seemed to know everything someone who wasn't a Viera would be able to know about his race.

"The Vieras are historically very secretive, yeah. Still, I do sympathize with your thirst for knowledge. Whenever you have some free time, I would more than gladly share what I know about my people." Freyr said with a respectful nod. It was indeed very impressive that someone so young had such a big thirst for knowledge.

Other than that, he was almost certain by now that being cheerful and happy was a trait shared by most harpies. Not that it was bad, of course, it was only... curious. Maybe it had something to do with harpies having faster metabolism than other races?

Despite everything that had happened and not having solved the issue about the black crystal yet, the day was finally over and Freyr was able to enjoy a good and tranquil night of sleep.

The Next Day...

@PaulHaynek @Lmpkio

As usual, Freyr rose up from bed early the next morning. For him it was already a habit to do so and even if he wanted to sleep more, his body basically would wake up by itself when the first rays of dawn arrived. Arriving on the guild hall for a quick breakfast, Freyr couldn't help but to notice that despite being well... a gigantic hole in the wall... it was really nice and peaceful to drink a cup of tea while watching the sunrise.

He was surprised though when Bartholomew came to warn the guild that they had finally earned enough money to fix the wall and he had called the construction crew to fix it today. Maybe it was for the best but Freyr would miss the cool morning breeze and the oversized window.

Before going in a quest though, Freyr had something to do first, which involved the strange black crystal he had found on his visit to the Vieran Woods.

"Bartholomew, we need to talk... Something happened while we were on the Vieran Woods." Freyr said in a low tone as he approached Bartholomew.

"Varjans..." Freyr said as he raised his hand towards Bart. On the middle of his hand, Bartholomew would see something carefully wrapped in leather.

"They found a way to... repel, or maybe ward off the magic of the woods... It was... strange. They were trying to capture Vieras, to use them as weapons, by branding them with magic runes and sigils, taking advantage of our magic sensitive bodies to make us go into a frenzied state..." Freyr explained, with a serious concern in his voice.

"Things are changing, Bart. We need to take a side. The Vieras are preparing themselves to go to war..." he finished.

Just the words that the Vieras, who were known for closing themselves into their forest and not caring about the outside, were going to war, was enough for Bart to realize that if something was able to make the Vieras take such a radical posture and change how they dealt with outside matters that much, it was indeed serious.

Before Freyr could say anything more or Bartholomew could answer though, Freyr, who was initially oblivious to the 'intruder' that had arrived, heard Titanica's angry roars, followed by strange screeches and clear sounds of battle. Even though Freyr knew, judging by the sounds, that Titanica was going away from the Guild, to the woodlands, he knew very well how... destructive... Titanica could be... If something made her that angry, who knew what she would do...

"Sorry Bart, we will talk more later. If someone doesn't stop Titanica soon, something bad might happen..." Freyr said as he quickly put the leather wrapped crystal on Bartholomew's hands and ran after Titanica and whoever the intruder was.
Sorry for the delay guys had a few things to do today.

Promise ill have a post done tomorrow.
