Do you think the reason Jesus Christ doesn't rise again is because we keep putting up crosses and he gets flashbacks on how that went last time?

I will never show empathy for a bigot or a man who believed empathy is a made up term. Simple as that.

There was an all too familiar feeling that Alexandros was experiencing as he opened his eyes, laying in his king-sized mattress. When he opened up those piercing blue eyes of his, Alexandros first saw his beige wallpaper, a golden and yellow ceiling fan hovering over him, spinning away as it sent a cool breeze to his face. A yawn escaped his mouth as he struggled with the decision to wake up or not. His head turned to the left of him where he saw his alarm clock. It read that it was just five minutes past six-thirty. The sun had barely started to rise along the horizon, and Alexandros really didn’t want to get up.

Mondays have always been a struggle for him. He never was a morning person, and he especially wasn’t a Monday person. The very thought of waking up early in the morning ruined any good mood he might have had about his day. Truth be told, if Alexandros could just wake up any time past noon, that would be preferred. But of course, as a Mossos, Alexandros was always forced into the thought process that you had to be up before the sun was, even if Alexandros barely got three hours of sleep the night before.

The past week was a bit of a busy one for Alexandros. Taking aside that mess of a beach party last Monday night, and Alexandros having quite the time what Sierra Jameson. Taking aside that he quite possibly had the greatest sex since Audrey, or even Viola. Yes, taking aside that wonderful night, Alexandros was busy that entire week. He hadn’t texted anyone that went to Beverly Hills High except for Viola. They got together for a small sushi date, and may or may not have had sex. Alexandros’ memory of Tuesday night was kind of foggy. Perhaps it was the amount of drugs and alcohol he took. Regardless, that day - and the ones that followed - seemed to have escaped his recollection. But that wasn’t even the wildest part of his week last week. The weekend proved to be especially crazy during the nights that he was out on the streets of Beverly Hills. He won some and lost some, but that wasn’t really the worst part. The parties that came afterwards and all of the good times that he had with various women, Alexandros surely kept busy. He wouldn’t come home until the wee hours of the morning.

And that’s what brings us to last night/this morning.

Alexandros, in his bed, eyes moving away from the alarm clock, and to his right. What did his blue eyes move to? Well, there was the back side of a blonde woman in his range of sight. Alexandros would simply chuckle minimally as she would turn and tussle, her body switching to the other side, and her eyes - and everything below it - being revealed to him. Alexandros smiled this time. About half of a minute later, when she would start to groan, the blonde would open her eyes, looking at Alexandros as the Mossos teen was laying down on his pillow, his blue eyes looking at her.

“What time is it?” she asked, wiping her eyes to get the dust from her eyes out. She yawned.

“Almost seven.” Alexandros said doing the same thing.

“How late were we at it?” She asked, starting to get herself to get into an up-right position.

“Who knows? I don’t necessarily keep track of the time.” Alexandros said.

“Yeah, I know,” she laughed, “can’t believe you talked me into staying last night. My step-mom’s gonna have my ass for this, you know that right?”

“Come now, you just let me tell her some little lie, and he won’t be mad at you. I’ll just say we were studying or something.”

‘You, Alexandros Mossos, studying? Are you trying to get me into even more trouble?”

Alexandros smirked at her last comment. “Perhaps.” he laughed.

She punched him lightly, and finally got up, her bare chest hanging freely. She was searching for her shirt, to which she finally got up to search for. Alexandros was smirking as he watched the wonderful view of her butt. “I can feel you staring at my ass.” she commented.

“And what a beautiful ass it is.” he said, smirking.

She shook her head, and found her clothes. She started to put them on. First her golden-white blouse that seemed to be made from a silk-like fabric. Once she got it on, her black pants came next. She found her gold high heels, and sat on the bed as she would slip them on. Alexandros, wearing nothing but a pair of black boxer shorts, made his way to her, kissing her neck. “Alexandros, please. If you don’t let me, I won’t be able to resist, and I won’t leave.”

“Good. Let’s go another round.” Alexandros said, his light pink lips kissing her neck even deeper.

“Damn it Mossos, why must you--” Before she could finish, the door to Alexandros’ large room opened.

“Alex! Father’s been--” Said Ava, Alexandros’ little sister. She saw him in a rather compromising position with a blonde. “Viola, what are you - you know what, I don’t want to know.”

“Oh, hey Ava. I hope your summer treated you well?”

“Yeah, it was peachy.” Ava brushed her aside, “Alex, father’s been calling for you for ten minutes. He wants to see you.”

“Can’t it wait?” Alexandros annoyingly asked, looking at Ava.

“You know how he gets when he’s kept waiting. It’s best not to, Alex.” Ava said, eyes trying to avoid Viola.

“go do your family thing, Alexandros. I need to get home myself.” Viola said, winking at Alexandros before giving him a kiss on the cheek. She got up, and headed for the door, walking past Ava, who was giving her the stink eye. Viola noticed of course, but she didn’t say anything in response. She simply left, and went home.

Alexandros sighed, looking at Ava. “Go ahead and say it.”

“Say what?”

“I know you want to lecture me again. So, go on and give me today’s lecture.”

“It’s not my business what you do. You’re entitled to your choices.”

“But?”

“But, did it really have to be her? Of all women, you had to choose the one woman that absolutely disgusts me?” Ava sounded deeply worried for her brother.

“You mean Vio? I wasn’t aware you two had drama amongst you two.” Alexandros raised an eyebrow.

“We don’t. I mean, I don’t necessarily hate her. She just rubs me the wrong way. Something about her face.” Ava wasn’t making any sense, she knew that.

Alexandros looked at her and shrugged. “Whatever. Tell father I’ll be down after I shower and get cleaned up.”

“Fine,” she said, about to leave his room, “just don’t keep him waiting.” she told him.

Yes, wouldn’t want to keep father waiting. Alexandros sighed as he would head towards his shower, and wash off the feeling of annoyance he was already feeling from

During the entire time he was in the shower, Alexandros had been dreading talking with his father. Even when he was washing his hair, his body, rinsing his hair and body off, Alexandros was dreading what his father, the mighty Baltazar Mosos, would want. He sure knew that his father didn’t want to ask how he was doing. Nowhere in the time that he had been Balt’s son did Alexandros ever hear anything like that. He showed his love, but in various, unconventional ways. So, it wasn’t like he wanted some kind of chit-chat. If he sent Ava to get him, then that meant that Alexandros was either in for it big time or there was something important he needed to talk to him about it.

Well, Alexandros would soon find out.

Within twenty minutes, Alexandros had gotten out of the shower, completely dried himself from head to toe, did all the usual things he did in the morning: brush his teeth, do his hair, put on arm deodorant, and finally pick out his outfit of the day. He had black pants, a black, button-up shirt, and a gray, jacket. He also had black shoes. Along with his sunglasses, Alexandros was ready to head downstairs, mind somewhat on what Balt wanted. Whatever it was, he would soon enough.

As would make his way into the kitchen, which had several members of the ktichen and cleaning staff passing by. There were maids, butlers, the kitchen staff all passing by. It was the norm. If it wasn’t like this, Alexandros would be severely worried that someone died or something bad had happened. As he walked around, his eyes would scan for his mother and sister. Looking towards the dining room, he saw that his mother, Adiranna, and his sister, Ava, were both enjoying a breakfast. As he smiled, he walked towards them. He saw the lack of his father. He was partially releived, but wondered where Baltazar could have run off to?

“Morning mother, you look lovely as always.” Alexandros gave his sweet mother a kiss on the cheek. She gave him one back. Alexandros took a seat next to Ava, who was enjoying some Cereal and an apple. His mother was enjoying some eggs, a couple of bread rolls, and a cup of red wine.

“And you look like shit.” Adrianna said bluntly.

“Yeah, I guess so.” Alexandros didn’t fight her there. She was right.

“Rough night?”

“Rough week.” Alexandros sighed.

“It’s cause you’re choosing all these loose women.” Ava nearly choked on her food. “Careful dear, you don’t want to die.”

Ava looked both at Alexandros and Adrianna. She couldn’t believe what her mother just said. “I can’t belie-- ah, fuck it.” Ava just decided not to say anything more about it, and went back to her cereal.

Alexandros raised an eyebrow to his sister, but just shrugged it off. “So, where’s father? Ava here said he wanted to see me.”

“He’s in his study.” Adrianna’s tone suddenly got tense, and almost angry. Alexandros caught onto it and so did Ava, but neither of them said anything about it.

“Alright, guess I’ll head there now.” Alexandros sighed, getting up as he grabbed a sweet bread roll, and went to his father’s study. It wasn’t far from the kitchen, only about a five minutes or so away. It wouldn’t take him that long, though, because Alexandros knew a shortcut. So, the time he would have spent walking all across the house to get to his father’s study was cut in half, and within three minutes, he was outside his father’s study. He knocked a few times. “Father?” Alexandros called out through the door.

“It’s unlocked.” Baltazar said.

Alexandros walked in, opening the wooden door, and walking into the study, and saw his father sitting at his desk, staring at his son as he would come in. Alexandros didn’t know what was going on, but he saw his father sitting there, looking at him with the most serious of looks that he had ever seen his father have. Whatever was happening, Alexandros knew it couldn’t be good. He simply sighed.

“You wanted to see me?” Alexandros took walked closer to the desk.

“That I did.” Baltazar confirmed.

“Well, here I am.”

“Indeed you are,” Baltazar laughed, gesturing Alexandros to take a seat. He did, and Balt got up. “So, tell me, my son, what have you been up to?” Baltazar, to Alexandros’ surprise, asked about how he was.

“What have I been up to?” Alexandros felt that he needed to echo the question.

“Yes. Surely you have been doing something, even if it’s simply going out every night, and having your fun on the streets.”

Alexandros sighed. “Well, you already know that I like to race.”

“And the girls?”

“Must I go into detail?” Alexandros would prefer not to.

“Fine, fine.” Balt laughed. Taking a seat the chair across from Alexandros, he looked at his son, “okay, then how about we talk about your involvement with with The Athens Gambling Ring." Baltazar said.

Alexandros looked at his father. “What about it? I run a few small-time operations.” Alexandros shrugged it off.

“Yes, and while I’m much impressed with how well their going, I am also aware that there was an incident last Tuesday.” Baltazar said, surprising Alexandros as the latter shifted in his chair.

“What do you know about it?” Alexandros inquired.

“I know that the police are looking into it, and that the rape of that young girl is going to be a problem.”

“What rape?”

“Come now Alexandros. I know you’re irresponsible at times, but you can’t be forgetful about something that important, can you?”

Alexandros looked at his father for a moment. He actually thought that he was joking? “Father, Tuesday was a long day for me. By before sundown that day, I barely remember anything that went on.” Alexandros confessed.

“I see,” Baltazar bit his lip, “okay, if you don’t remember, then perhaps it’s for the best. It’s not like anyone is going to really care for some girl from West Beverly Hills High.” Baltazar cruelly said, and even crueler, laughed.

“What girl?” Alexandros asked, looking to his father for an answer.

“Oh, what was her name? Something that started with a B. Brenda? Blanca?”

“Bianca?”

“That was it. Bianca Salazar. Didn’t you know her?” Baltazar said.

“For a short minute, yeah.” Alexandros recalled.

“I wouldn’t worry. You’re obviously not that foolish.” Balt said.

“Yeah..” Alexandros said, laughing it off. Truth be told, he wasn’t even sure if he was there or not, or if he had anything to do with Bianca or not.

"In any case, you best get off to school.” Baltazar said, shooing his son off.

“Fine.” Alexandros got up, and left his father’s study. Though the thought of who did that to Bianca was strong in his mind, he couldn’t let himself get plagued by it. He grabbed the keys to his Ferrari, got his bag that was hanging on a hook by the door, and left for school. Whatever happened, Alexandros would simply have to put it out of his mind until more time passed for him to gather more of his memory from that night.

Time: Lunch Time
Location Halls of Beverly Hills High
Interacting With: Sierra Jameson @Dirty Pretty Lies, Joo @SgtEasy

Most of the morning periods had been spent as Alexandros usually spent them. The teachers talked, he didn’t pay attention, but got by each one. When the first ended, he would head to the second. When the second ended, he headed to the third - and so on and so forth until lunch period came rolling around. By then, Alexandros had spent most of the morning occasionally thinking about Bianca and that whole situation. Did he do it? And if he didn’t, did someone close within his operation do it? If not them, then perhaps someone who was at one of his operations. He spent most of his time thinking about that.

As he was roaming the hallway, obviously not letting it show that he was deeply troubled, Alexandros put on his usual, trademark, I’m-better-than-you-and-I-own-these-halls-but-not-really smirk, he caught Sierra from across the way. He saw the way she was rocking her hips. It wasn’t exactly how Audrey used to do that for him, but Alexandros had to admit it that she had a certain way about her hip movement. It was somehow on par to what Audrey did. Added to that she shot him a wink and he saw her licking her lips. He smirked, shooting her his own look. Of course, being subtle about it. Didn’t want people finding out.

Just as Alexandros was about to head for some lunch, he caught the glimpse of some Asian guy grabbing Sierra all of a sudden -well, that aside, this guy was shirtless. Not the oddest thing to be seen at school, but this guy grabbed Sierra. That bothered Alexandros somewhat. It bothered him enough to take his mind off of what he was thinking about, and formally introducing himself to this guy. Doing just that, Alexandros followed them without raising any suspicion to him.

Alexandros made sure to be sneaky about it - well, as sneaky as Alexandros Mossos could be. Regardless, he followed them to a janitor’s closet. “Really original.” Alexandros simply rolled his eyes as he saw the door close. He heard a click. It must be locked. Alexandros shrugged, and simply knocked a few times. It wasn’t loud for anyone nearby to hear, but loud enough for Sierra and Asian dude to hear it.

“Okay, just wanted to make sure I wasn’t going crazy.” JAakuna said. He tended to go a little batty at times. “but that aside, what on earth is the Midnight Shard doing here? I mean, last I checked, it was in that shitstain ruin of Nabudis, where your dick of a Esper was imprisoned before reasons happened.” Jaakuna sighed. He was getting off topic again. “Whatever, so the Midnight Shard - how’d the fuck it get here?” Jaakuna asked.

As Lorenzo started voicing his own thoughts on it, he actually started to sound all princey. Jaakuna wanted to rip his ears out, but Lorenzo had an interesting point. Regardless, as soon as he finished, he had grabbed the Midnight Shard, holding it in his hands. Jaakuna couldn’t help but chuckle at the idea of Emiri suddenly growing bunny ears and a furry, fuzzy tail. He’d probably play with those constantly(much to her annoyance).

“Now that is a thought I shall cherish tonight.” Jaakuna said, chuckling

As Emiri and Lorenzo would go on even more about the Midnight Shard, with the former talking about how she could hear the thoughts of the Midnight Shard and how it desires power. “Can you ask it how it got here? Oh and who took it. It would save us a lot of time and effort.” Jaakuna, surprisingly non-sarcastically, said with the most serious, if not mildly annoyed, face.

And they ignored him, but perhaps for the best. Lorenzo was on her ass about being drawn to it. Jaakuna arched an eyebrow when he himself was wondering that same thing. Even more to the point, he saw the way Emiri was looking, specifically at the shard, which was in Lorenzo’s hand. It seemed like she was. Even more so, it seemed that she wasn’t far off from grabbing it and possibly doing something she would regret. When Jaakuna saw that she wasn’t far from doing that, he was about to step in and stop her. Luckily, Lorenzo would be holding onto it. Unluckily for them, a sword came at them from a distance. Joy, more fighting. Regardless, Jaakuna dodged it in the knick of time. And who did this sword belong to? Well, Jaakuna looked up, and sighed rather annoyingly.

“Oh fucking wonderful, it’s the Miss Sadistic Big Tits.” Jaakuna was obviously referring to the always-hot-but-equally-annoying Lola. “Don’t you have some strip joint to be working at?” Jaakuna commented. As Lola would demand the shard, Jaakuna looked at her as if she was a fucking idiot. “Yeaaaah, sure, we’ll give you the shard. And hey, while we’re at it, why don’t we just give you our espers too. I bet you’d like that, wouldn’t you, ya crazy brod?”

As a little exchange between Big Tits and Lorenzo was exchanged, Jaakuna raised an eyebrow to how Lorenzo seemed to be offended by being called old. “Yeah, cause her trying to kill us definitely isn't as much of a top priority than getting mad at her for calling you old.” Jaakuna commented to himself, but probably was heard by Lorenzo.

It looks like it was a stroll down memory lane, mostly with Emiri voicing her disgust towards Lola and, of course, Big Tits being creepy as ever. Jaakuna sighed. “Lorenzo, that’s a long story, but to make it short: this crazy bitch here has some weird master-slave fetish and Emiri is the object of such a fetish.” Jaakuna told Lorenzo, “I’ll tell you the full, in-depth version, but for now we take care of her.” Jaakuna said as he saw Lola pull out a katana, and splitting herself into three copies. “Great, even more crazy.” Jaakuna sighed, holding out his hand. It shone with a red glow. “Belias, I have no time for your silly incantation. Just get your ass out here. We have someone that needs to go back to the looney bin.” Jaakuna said.

A moment later, Balias the Gigas appeared in a light display of fire magick.. Always tall, and always doing that weird shaman dance. “The least you could do is say please.” Belias said, sounding displeased.

"Okay, please will you help me torch this bitch?” Jaakuna requested of Belias.

“Fine, let’s do it.” Belias sounded pleased again.

Jaakuna pulled out his Vengefull Daggers. They were black and red and the length of short swords. Belias had his halberd in hand, pointed at the Lola that was coming towards him and Jaakuna. The two of them darted forward. Both of their weapons already having flowing fire magick from it and both waved their weapons downward, sending two, originally individual waves of Firaga that combined, at Lola.

This did not please her one bit. Ultima, though she did what was necessary, did not enjoy this tactic at all. She was, as most of the Hume stories made her out to be, didn’t like underhanded, brutal tactics like binding a Hume girl. She wasn’t a brute like The Gigas or Bringer of Order, nor was she underhanded like The Condemned or The Walker of the Wheel. She was an Esper of class and dignity, but even one such as The High Seraph sometimes needed to resort to these tactics to prove her point.

As she stared at Nadeline, her arguing with her Hume companions, mainly The Redeemed, Arrogant Prince, she waited for them to finish. Perhaps this one - Zeromus’ Hume - could convince her to give up. If he could, Ultima could refrain from that of which she was about to do.

“Listen to the Male Hume. If you do not, there is no guarantee that you will survive much longer.” Ultima was clear in her threat. If Nadeline kept up her persistence to pursue this delusion of grandeur that she had of being the sole fighter against Ultima, the High Seraph wouldn’t have any other choice.

Grant plead with her, and Nadeline just stayed silent. Ultima knew she didn’t have to speak. Her eyes send it all. It was clear to Ultima that, though Nadeline was crying right in front of her, Nadeline Lenore Roselia wouldn’t give up. Even if the tears on her face said otherwise, Ultima knew. She could sense it in the girls soul. That determination, that desire to prove herself to the very being that was causing her to doubt herself. Ultima knew and she would be forced to test that determination, that seemingly unwavering will. By the end of it, one of two things would happen: Nadeline will die trying to prove her strength, or her true power will be unlocked, and

“Very well. It cannot be helped, can it, Hume Girl Nadeline?” Ultima said sorrowfully, her spear dissolving into bits and pieces, but the light magick bind keeping Nadeline from doing anything.

Ultima held her right hand out in front of her, the string of the bind now showing at he center of her palm. As she would ball that hand, the grip of the bind around Nadeline tightened immensely, no doubt the pain from it. The puncture wound from her rapier must only be getting deeper and deeper into her body. Ultima truly didn’t want to do this, but it was out of her hands now.

Ultima didn’t stop there. Raising her arm with the balled fist, Nadeline was raised up as well. By emitting magick into that arm, Ultima sent a pulse of Holaga right through the thread that bound the princess. The power journeyed to Nadeline, inducing massive amounts of light magick right into her body. Just when anyone thought that Ultima was done, she quickly brought her arm to her side, sending Nadeline to crash to the ground.

And then suddenly, the thread was cut, much to Ultima’s surprise. She scanned the canvas for Nadeline, and there she was, still bound up, bleeding, bruised, and seemingly unconscious in Wesley’s arm, his eyes glaring at Ultima, an aura of deep brown and gold surrounding him.

“I see Hashmaal’s taught you a few things.” Ultima commented.

“Ultima, was that really necessary?” Wesley said, but not Wesley. His voice was deeper.

“If only to make the girl see that she is not strong enough, then yes it is, Bringer of Order.” Ultima coldly stated.

“You never were cold like this, not to our brethren, not to any Hume who challenged you -no one. So, why her? What makes her different?”

“Why not her?” Ultima coldly stated once more. “She wanted to fight me alone, did she not? I simply gave her the respect she deserved. I gave her a little taste of what was to come if she remained so foolish and arrogant.”

“While I cannot deny it was a bit arrogant on her part to take you on alone, she did not deserve that-that beating. She didn’t deserve that.”

“Is this the Dalmascian Prince talking, or you, Hashmaal?”

“Does it matter?”

“I suppose it doesn’t.”

Suddenly, without even so much as a warning, the brown and gold aura surrounding Wesley was gone, and it seemed Hashmaal’s impromptu possession of Wesley was over. My apologies, Wesley. There was no time to ask you for possession of your body. Ultima would have killed the Rozarria Princess if I didn’t act sooner. Wesley heard Hashmaal’s voice in his head, still unsure what had just happened. As he would look into his arms, he saw a bloodied, beaten Nadeline in his arms. She seemed unconscious. Wesley, through what Hashmaal just told him, and what he was witnessing, he now put it together. “I see. Thank you, Hashmaal." Wesley said softly.

“Why thank him? He only stalled what would inevitably happen. If he did--”

“I mean no disrespect, High Seraph, but would you kindly mind your tongue.” Wesley snapped at Ultima, the latter gasping as if she didn’t expect it.

“I beg your pardon?”

“You speak about how you wanted to teach her a lesson, about how you wanted to show her how she wasn’t strong enough to hold a candle to you.” Wesley said.

“This is true.”

“You wanted to make her see that she was not strong enough to take you on single-handedly."

“Again true.”

“Yet,” Wesley gently put Nadeline down, eyes glaring at her.

“Yet?”

“Yet, she proved to be plenty strong against you. She made you dissolve that castle of yours, something I’m sure you wouldn’t have done if she wasn’t truly strong. She even made you, what I am to assume, was a last-resort effort of separating yourself into six versions of yourself. That’s how you got the upper hand. You may not want to admit it, but you were backed into a corner, and you tried to pass off your anger that you were getting bested by a mere Hume - a Hume you called unworthy - by restraining her, and attacking her when she couldn’t’ defend herself.” Wesley aimed his sword at Ultima, his eyes filled with furious anger. “in the myths, you were a leader, someone to look up to, but if you ask me,” Wesley took a step forward, “the one who is to be truly looked up to is not you, High Seraph, it is my soon-to-be wife, and future Ruler of Rozarria, Nadeline Lenore Roselia.” Wesley took another step forward, “until such a time arrives that she is able to , I, Wesley Alexander of Dalmasca, will be her proxy.” Wesley declared to Ultima. “I will ensure that the amount of damage you inflicted upon her is dealt back ten times.” WEsley boldly stated.

“And you too, like your Fiance, will know that one single Hume cannot defeat me." Ultima stated, about to poise her body for battle.

“Thing is, Queen Bitch,” Savayna said, cracking her neck joints, “he isn’t alone, isn’t that right, Grant?” She looked to Grant.
One after the other after the other, the Sahagins just wouldn’t stop coming. Lorenzo was taking out a good number of them, Jaakuna was taking out a good number of them, but they just kept on coming. It didn’t matter how many blasts of red magick Lorenzo shot at them, or how many bursts of fira that Jaakuna shot at them, they just kept coming. It was like the boat was the flame that drew these moths to it. Jaakuna could do it all day, but eventually the workout would get tiresome. Even Lorenzo had to be getting annoyed, even if he didn’t seem like it.

Just as Jaakuna was about to just say that enough was enough and blast the entire group of Sahagin’s with his Sea of Flames, they were nearly at the docks. As it was with Emiri and Lorenzo, Jaakuna, too, felt the intensity of the mist within the area. He felt that unwelcomed chill from his toes all the way to his blonde hair-covered head. Whatever had happened definitely involved some things that were not meant to be toyed with.

As Emiri had made a note that Defected Nethicite was the cause of it, both Jaakuna and Lorenzo looked at her, the latter asking if she was sure. Emiri told him what she was thinking, and it sounded accurate. Mist was one those things that very few could explain, much less understand. The only people Jaakuna knew that could was Emiri, Nadeline via the Tome Proxy, and the Viera. All of which had said that the Mist was like a never-ending hunger for power and destruction. Emiri made a mention about how it burned and twisted in the air. Now that she did, Jaakuna looked around, and he could see it. Perhaps his awareness to the mist wasn’t as up there like Aloa or Emiri, but he saw traces of the mist. It empowered him, but at the same time, it gave him a familiar feeling of fear through his skinny body.

“If there are, we’ll just do away with them like we did with those fish.” Jaakuna commented confidently. He heard Lorenzo speak to him. “You call that a work out?” Jaakuna laughed, “no disrespect,, but come back to me when you have tussled with the Espers. The Sahagins might be annoying as all hell, but those Espers were no joke.” Jaakuna said, laughing.

Jaakuna heard the sound of an insulted grunt in his mind. “Yeah sorry bout that Belias. But hey, you should take it as a compliment. At least I didn’t call you weak.” Jaakuna heard another grunt, thus ending the conversation he was having with Belias. To Lorenzo, Jaakuna would appear to be talking to himself, no doubt.

Whatever, Jaakuna touched land, and he saw Emiri wander off. “Hey, Emiri!” Jaakuna called out. She didn’t answer. She just kept on walking. Jaakuna followed her until she came to a stop. She knelt down and picked up something. “What’cha have there? A seashell?” Jaakuna asked, looking at Emiri. She looked at the stone in her hand quite seriously, as if bothered by it.

When she would mention Archadia, Jaakuna couldn’t hold in his chuckle. “Yeah, that’s for damn sure. Say what you will about my homeland’s old, misguided ways. When we wanted to blast a bitch, we did it with good ole’, progressive weaponry. What happened here - well, it’s like Nabudis.” Jaakuna might have been brushing it off, but he was right. Archadia never did anything half-measure. If they wanted to wipe a place out, they would do it with little error.

Emiri kept on talking, and it was then, when she revealed what was in her hand, that Jaakuna realized the true severity of the situation. “You wanna say that again?” Jaakuna felt like he misheard her. “I could have sworn I heard you say that, what’s in your hand, was the Midnight Shard.”

“Isn’t that dangerous? She could get hurt! Or worse, she could die!” Savayna said, feeling genuinely worried for Nadeline.

Wesley knew she had a point, but so did Grant. “We simply will have to trust her strength, and know that she has it in her to do this.” Wesley said. Oh if only you could believe it, Wesley. Well, you do, but Ultima is quite the formidable opponent. Just use caution, Nadeline. That’s all I ask. Wesley was praying that she would be able to find that weak spot that he knew Ultima had.

Ultima watched Nadeline’s movements carefully. Blocking when needed, dodging when needed. Still, she couldn’t help but smirk a bit as Nadeline sliced through just about every single Holaga. Obviously using the same spell wouldn’t work anymore. Ultima would have to try something different. She would obviously have to up her game, perhaps use something far more powerful than simply Holaga. It couldn’t be helped, it seemed.

As Nadeline would take aim at Ultima, drawing a Scathe magickal glyph, Ultima did the same. Instead, Ultima’s wasn’t of Scathe, it was of reflect. When the blast came at Ultima, it was reflected, and shot upwards, piercing through the thunderclouds, and exploding about several feet above it. After that had been done away with, Ultima and her five copies herself, surrounded Nadeline. Each pointed their spear at Nadeline Long, thick beams of light shot at Nadeline. And even if the girl was somehow able to dodge some of them, one of them would make contact, binding the girl in nearly-unbreakable magick. When one of did do that, the other Ultima’s disappeared, leaving the original, who was above, floating.

Using her spear to control the beam, Ultima came closer to Nadeline. “You should be honored, Nadeline Lenore Roselia. Only those who have proven themselves to be worthy of fighting me get to be this close to me. As skilled as you are, and as loyal as your friends have been, you made the dire mistake of challenging me by yourself.” Ultima got close to Nadeline, looking right into her eyes. “I will admit that you impressed me greatly. You are one of the few humes who have tried to claim me that made me actually try, but you are still, far too young, and far too inexperienced to hope to defeat me on your own.” Ultima said, “I shall give you one final chance to end this foolish crusade fighting me by yourself. Let your Hume companions help you.”

Thanks.
Update; I think a time skip post might be needed when I return, yes?

But we just had a timeskip post and some of us haven't gotten in our first post in yet. D:
Jaakuna, while possibly deafened by the squeal of terror that came from Emiri’s mouth, he was experiencing a feeling of exhilaration. As a guy who loved to go fast, especially on vehicles, he had to admit it to himself that he was loving how fast this thing was going. He did, however, had to admit it to himself that he didn’t care for the blue. Perhaps it was just him and loving red, but that was just his personal prefernce. Regardless, seeing how Lorenzo was enjoying this a bit more than he should, perhaps there was more to the Prince than Jaakuna first thought.

“You know, Lorenzo, when we’re done here, I’ll have to show you my Aegis War Bike. It’s a prototype, but I’m sure you could appreciate it. Hell, I think it can surpass this beautiful machine in its top speed.” Jaakuna had to shout. One the engine of the boat - or the Royal Carrage as Lorenzo called - was so loud that Jaakuna barely heard himself think. And two, Emiri’s loud shrieks of absolute terror made it hard for anyone to hear anyone speak. So, thus why Jaakuna had to elevate his scream to a moderate yell.

As the three of them got out of the tunnel, which was as dark as a moonless night, they came to a part of Stigma that must have been the explosion sight. Jaakuna knew it was going to be bad just based on what he and Emiri saw when they first got to Stigma, but he never once thought it would be akin to what he saw with his very own, two emerald-colored eyes. The aspect of the mist obvious, even from far off in the distance. Jaakuna saw nothing but broken buildings and the ruins of a town. Any traces of what this town was before had thus been erased almost completely. Dirt and rubble laid in its place. If this was just a warning, Jaakuna feared the worst for the citizens of Stigma - and quite possible all of Ivalice.

His eyes going to one side to the other, trying to take in every single part of the explosion site, Jaakuna’s body was suddenly jerked. Wait no, that’s not right. It wasn’t just him, but the boat jerked. “What’s happening?” Jaakuna asked. His question soon was answered as Emiri noted the presence of mist attracts monsters like lamb to the slaughter. Jaakuna cursed himself. “And to think I thought this would be a walk in the part. I should have figured.” Jaakuna simply shrugged. There was no avoiding a fight. Well, at least he’d be able to stretch his muscles. A few seconds later, Jaakuna would get the chance to as the boat zipped past some harmless elementals. It wasn’t until Sahagins would appear that they were in for a fight.

It started out as just one, but soon several of them would come, and Emiri made the rather smart suggestion of opening the glass. Lorenzo agreed., and so did Jaakuna. The glass was opening, Lorenzo invited Jaakuna to join him in some workout exercises. Jaakuna grinned. “Try to keep up, old man.” Jaakuna smirked, stepping up from his seat, seeing Lorenzo pop one of the Sahagin’s right in the mouth with an uppercut. “Okay, I guess you know a thing or two.” Jaakuna said.

Three Sahagins came at Jaakuna, each one high than the other. Jaakuna smirked. Holding one palm out, fire expelled from it, not only overtaking all three Sahagins in red and orange flames, but it was enough to send them several yards flying like a baseball when the batter hit a homerun. “Not bad, huh babe?” Jaakuna looked to Emiri, winking at her.

Ultima smiled. Rather impressed with what Nadeline did, she increased her speed a bit when Nadeline would pull out another rapier. To Ultima’s impressed shock, there was something interesting happening with that rapier - something that The High Seraph foresaw, but didn’t expect to be so popular. It was something that she never expected a Hume such as Nadeline to be able to use. Ultima took extra precautions. Her power would take defensive measures, but even she couldn’t completely defend from the highest fire-elemental magick spell, Andor.

“What’s Andor?” Savayna asked both Wesley and Grant, looking to both of them.

“It is a highly powerful - if not equally dangerous - fire maigck spell,” Wesley bit his thumb, seemingly worried for Nadeline. “It requires years of practice and discipline to master and use without fear of it backfiring. Even still, it’s one of those spells that will have disastrous side-effects regardless of its user, but for Nadeline to..” Wesley stopped himself there. If Nadeline was using Andor, if she truly was using it with a clear head on her shoulders, then Wesley would remain silent. He would let her fight her battle. Just hopefully she doesn’t kill herself trying to prove her strength.

Savayna looked both and Wesley and Grant, both of them seemingly having the same look of worry on their face. If this spell was truly as bad as their faces gave hint towards, then what did that mean for Nadeline’s health?

As the group watched as Nadeline delivered jab after jab to Ultima, with the latter dodging almost every one, they couldn’t help but watch in awe. Not only was Nadeline holding her own, but based on how Ultima was dodging and blocking each jab, she was on the defensive. Whether it lasted or not, both Savayna and Wesley were smiling, with the latter replacing his worried look with a more relieved one.

As the jabs kept on coming, one would surprise Ultima. It caught her off-guard, and her stomach got the full force of it. Her eyes would somewhat widen. The force of the jab forced Ultima back about a yard and a half. She looked at Nadeline, seemingly upset that she let even one of those jabs get past her defenses. “Rather impressive, Nadeline Lenore Roselia.” Ultima was truly impressed by this girl the more she continued to fight.

When Ultima raised her arms, the spear horizontal, her eyes began to emit a bright, white-with-gold glow, and white shadows about the height of Ultima began to appear beside her - five of them, to be specific. Soon, these shadows had morphed into literal copies of Ultima, all poised to strike. Each of them - including the original Ultima - all started to float around in the sky, shooting several bullets of Holaga at Nadeline. These shots of Holaga were about the size of basketballs, but boy did they pack a massive punch.
