My own complaint about Bruce Timm is his weird obsession with the Bruce/Barbara pairing, which reached a fever pitch in the Killing Joke animated film... *shudders*

It's not bad enough that Bruce is macking on his best friend's main squeeze; he's gotta do it to his adopted son's as well.

...He's fucking Bruce Wayne.

Saying that a woman (hell, anyone) in the DCU wouldn't want at least one crack at the Batcave is like saying "Ugh, 90's Brad Pitt. Go away. Shoo."

Not that I mind people swooning over Superman aswell, given that they look practically identical.

Hey now, not everyone in the Timmverse was identical. Some of them had completely different haircuts!

Also, the ladies are taking a crack at the Bat-Cave?

I mean, I'm not gonna judge.....out loud......

In fairness, it's because he was covered in vaseline...

For a second, I thought you meant Bruce Timm, and that just raised further questions.

Listen, Batman being gay would not be out of the question. he's definitely working through some deeply repressed issues with his own identity

Just ask Grant Morrison. I mean, when he's not stoned out of his mind and rambling on about multiversal chaos-magick or whateverthefuck. Which is basically never, so......never mind, don't ask Grant Morrison.
I always liked having Lana around as Clark's inner city confidant prior to him revealing his identity to Lois, ala Superman TAS. But Lois is one of the best supporting characters in comics, in my opinion.

Infact, UOU Clark better watch out. I could have her see the benefits of having a billionaire schizophrenic martial artist vigilante to come home to...

Ugh. That's something I genuinely hated about the DCAU. The blatant favoritism towards the Bat-family was bad enough in fight scenes, but then Bruce also has to become Mr. Steal-Yo-Girl when it comes to the most famous romance in the entire genre. Like there weren't enough ladies in the series hankerin' for a chance to slide down the Bat-Pole.
Not everything for me boils down to a sex scene.

Fundamentally, though, doesn't everything boil down to a sex scene, when you really think about it?
Hey, since we already did Gwen and Mary-Jane, can we do Lana and Lois?

....in what context?

EDIT: Assuming you mean in the "which do you like better" context, and not the "hey everyone I wrote a sex scene" context, it's Lois in a heartbeat. Lana Lang, much like an awful lot of Superman's supporting cast really, is an add-on, an optional character who can add extra context to Clark's life (especially in his early days), but isn't necessarily critical. On the other hand, as we saw with his unfortunate New 52 incarnation, Superman straight-up does not work without Lois Lane. Yes, when she's written poorly, her type-A personality goes from 'strong-willed and confident' to 'scary bitch,' but having someone who has a strong enough spirit to impress and bewilder even the Man of Steel is integral to Clark's connection to humanity.

It also helps that Lois has pretty much always been the same basic person since Day One-- the details change and the finer points of her personality differ, but since the word go Lois has always been a fearless spitfire reporter. Lana, on the other hand, is all over the place in her incarnations, sometimes just the earnest girl-next-door, sometimes a savvy business mogul, sometimes a famous supermodel, whatever the hell was going on with her in Smallville, etc. Every time she shows up, there's really no telling who she's going to be.

I have my own ideas of who Lana is going to be in this RP, but in the general sense, Lois wins in an easy walk.

Now, if we're talking about that other context.....I mean, I'm not saying I'll do it, but I'm also not saying I won't.....
Ohhh, Power Girl, aka "well at least I'm not Hawkman." What a complete fucking mess.
I feel like every single time "secondary characters" is mentioned people stare at me. Not in a good way, either.

Honestly, I think it's still a good thing that we're keeping everyone at one character apiece. Having to split focus and energy between multiple characters usually ends up spelling disaster, especially for players as ADHD as I am. As much as my imagination loves to run off with all these ideas for different characters beyond the one I'm currently playing, I really need to just keep my eyes on the prize.
