If you're not trying to romance the Pokemon, what's the fucking point?

Can't help but read 'woah' as a regular 'wuh', but 'whoa' as a deep, masculine 'HOO-AH!'

That's patently untrue. I planted some potassium the other day, and no matter how much I watered it, all I got was explosions.

According to the IRC, I'm a low-grade troll. They're probably not wrong.

@Lmpkio Smudge saved him. She backed up the data in his brain (his memories, skills, personality etc.) so that it wouldn't be lost, even if it can't be accessed right now.
@Lmpkio Yo, are you typing a response or can I roll?
Smudge Pixelby

"I..." Judging by its voice, IA-920 was utterly lost. "It's a warlock's diary," it repeated. "It's the only copy-"

Suddenly Smudge yells. Ihe mass of veins and grey matter rearrange and the eye is visible again, wide and shocked. "I didn't eat him!" she blurts, realising the mistake, her mistake, this is all some kind of horrible misunderstanding... "I saved him!"

@Overlord Thraka@Lmpkio
Not having them eat brains would go a fair ways towards preventing that.

preposterous

It's late afternoon on Frixion Prime. A crippling embargo has settled on the planet like a shroud, breeding suffocation and panic. The chaos of everyday life has peaked and tensions run high.

Two young men in a failing gunstore are about to make a bid for freedom.

Our first port of call is to orientate the characters who aren't yet accounted for on Frixion Prime.

If you want to join us in this little meet-and-greet and aren't part of the Frix thread, I'll set you up with a location and someone to interact with. Let me know here a) what kind of place your character is likely to be in, b) what they're likely to be busy with, and c) what their general plans are. Not in too much detail, mind, I have the attention span of a gnat.

I'll narrate any events in the general vicinity that affect the characters. If you have preferences for who you want to interact with first, let me know.

@HeroicSociopath
@Dark Light
@ChickenTeriyaki
@LPRKN
@Ashevelendar
@Styxx Acheron
@LokiLeo789@JaceBeleren[@anyone else who might care] Heads up, the other three characters involved in the current scene (Marco, Colin, Gigs) are all part of a group, so we're gonna be migrating to a different thread as that starts up. No need to wait for us anymore.
Ach, delays and distractions abound. The completion of this post eludes me!

Why is pacing so difficult!? Why can't characters realistically think and feel really fast!?! This character development shit is hard, why would anyone want to do it!?!!?!

Settings are characters, individuals don't exist, worldbuilding is your character development now

Problem solved
why do i so profoundly fuck up my most innocent characters

@Overlord Thraka All good, cheers!
Smudge Pixelby

A step back was taken. A bolt was loaded and it was reluctantly but quickly put back where it came from. Smudge squirmed, trying to angle her body away from Mergoux without moving her feet. "Mmy name is Sm-mhuc Smudge P-Pixelby," she sobbed, rivulets of pink fluid running down onto her shirt. Her voice went in and out of audibility under a layer of fizz.

"This book is a- journal from Qi Tiān- to Pale Harbour," she repeated dumbly. "It's got- all these details... It's the only copy," said Smudge, her snow fading as if picking up a signal, replacing itself little by little with folds of grey matter and veins. "He's c-can't even read it anymore," she whispered, as if that made all the difference.

The rest was just crying and swaying.
@lmpkio @antarctic termite
Mergoux stares in horror at Smudge.
"You... you tore is brain out?!"
Her shock and revulsion is shown properly due to her lack of helmet/

Anger begins to well up in her at the murder of the man. Even if she didn't like him, this... creature, had still killed someone. She needed to be put down before she hurt someone else. Mergoux draws her crossbow and aims it at Smudge.
"Not one step closer you monster. If you've got any last words, speak them now."

The demon killed him and left his body lying in the dirt with the book. Smudge is just making the best out of a bad situation.

ed ed: if you like, we can just leave a 'this didn't happen, whoops' note on your post and I'll finish my response and then you can continue from there instead of having to rewrite?
