RISING UP TO THE CHALLENGE OF OUR RIVALS!

Bio

This is my second profile on here, and I have been Play-By-Post RPing for about nine years now. I do my best to see every RP to the end or at least let my character come to his/her own dramatic conclusion when I feel like signing off. Just like novel writing in real life, I tend to find myself on long hiatuses. Since writing is a great way to work out your brain, I try stay engaged as much as possible.

My favorite genres include futuristic worlds, mysteries, and super powers. Any mixture of these three elements will peek my interest.

@Balthazar007I apologize. I just didn't see that you had replied. Can we do the battle around 7 pm then? That should work for me!

Okay, I'll be online at 7pm awaiting your challenge. :)
It took me longer to get an IC post out than I imagined, but the holidays can make life unpredictable, for sure.

I haven't decided exactly where my character is going yet, whether it be the south side of the downtown district, the governing district, or the unnamed district to the east of the governing district.

This brings me to an announcement. If anyone would like to move their character to a new district (at any time) all you have to do is let me know which direction your character is traveling. I have a vague idea what I want each district to be but nothing set in stone. Basically, when you let me know which way your character is going, I'll let you know some possibilities for what that district could be. I'll then listen to your preferences and base the new district around that.

Downtown District - Late Evening

Arthur sat in a small booth in a small cafe. He was dressed in male skin, because he didn't want to be noticed. Males attract less attention, even ones as strikingly handsome has himself. People generally ignore men as long as they don't smile or make eye contact. Attractive women aren't afforded such anonymity. Arthur learned these truths many, many years ago.

Today was like any other for the crusading angel. He would lay low and use his senses to detect mall intent in the surrounding area. And even though the sun hadn't set yet, he could already feel another kind of darkness stirring in the air. The sensation put a foul taste in his mouth, more foul than the coffee he sipped.

But he could not act on the first sign of trouble, no more than he could stop sipping his drink and risk being asked to leave the cozy shop. He would have to wait until he felt something truly disturbing, such as a demon or a soul too corrupt to let live any longer. Anything less would be a waste of his power and could possibly scare away the big fish. That's basically what this was after all... fishing.

After two and a half hours of waiting, Arthur decided to leave the shop. One could only order so many coffees and pretend to read a book before looking suspicious. So he got up and left without a word. He stepped outside, into the light of a setting sun, and began to walk. Patience. That was the name of the game. He would move on to the next spot, probably a dive bar. There he would take the far corner of the bar and order anything but booze.

That was the plan... until he felt a spike of evil in the air. It was distant, many blocks to the south, but it was worth investigating. With a target in mind, his strides became longer and more determined. But he didn't stand out too much. He could easily pass for a business man on his way home after a long day's work.

I'm online now. I'll wait till 9:15. If we miss each other, we can try for tomorrow?

EDIT: Okay, Let's try again tomorrow. I'll check in the morning to see when you'd prefer. I'll be busy from 8pm to 10pm though, so keep that in mind.

I could do a battle on Tuesday at like 9 pm, if that's okay? I'll probably take on the thief with the Mr mime!

Heard that. I'll be online and ready in 1.5 hours. :)
@Balthazar007I edited my response to include Indigo being outside. Hope that's alright.

Looks good. It'll be Tuesday before I can post or Showdown battle again.
@Balthazar007 wasn't sure if we could decide whether the door stayed open or not so i left it for you to decide!

@iKatamalicious

The thieves are outside. I don't care what happens with the door now. I suggest everyone get out the door, then we can worry about what happens next. The door isn't that big a deal. :)

Cool! Yeah I was concerned about battling in small quarters haha. Glad they made it outside lol

I'll have a post up soon! What's your schedule look like for showdown?

I'm good for anytime today (with enough notice). Not available tomorrow. Available again Sunday morning. Not Monday. And then available Tuesday evening till the end of next Friday.
@Balthazar007 woohoo!

Is this going to be a showdown battle, then?
I just want to make sure I don't mess up like last time. X]

Each one of you three will have to battle one of the thieves, granted you stop the door from closing and give chase. And yes, I'd like to have showdown battles.

Each thief will use three Pokemon each, all at level 20. Right now, two of the thieves have revealed one of their Pokemon. One Mr. Mime and one Octillery. I'll leave it up to you all to decide who you will be facing. The rest of their Pokemon won't be revealed until you battle them in Pokemon Showdown.

If for some reason one of you does not want to use Showdown, that's okay. Just let me know, and we'll work something out.
"Just who I was hoping for. Grotle! Block their exit. We can't let them rob this place!" Dan screamed as Grotle rushed quickly, closing the gap between him and the thugs.

"It doesn't matter what they have, Grotle won't last two seconds against all their Pokémon at once. C'mon we can't let them escape!" Dan said, Grasping for another Poke ball.

As the two men ran toward the oncoming Grotle, panic quickly set in. How were they supposed to get passed such a large creature?

Suddenly, as if answering their concerns, a Grotle was hit in the side by an unseen force. The attack wasn't damaging, but it did slide Grotle across the floor a good distance. The room was fairly well lit at this point, so this unseen force was definitely puzzling. At least, it was puzzling to our three heroes.

The thieves realized right away what had just happened. One of them shouted, "Good job Mr. Mime!" Obviously, there was no response, but at least the three teenagers now knew what they were up against.

The two thieves made it out the sun lit doorway, followed immediately by the Mr. Mime that appeared out of a shadowy corner. And then, the door started shutting...
