Current It's been three years since we lost Polymorpheus, a dear friend. It's felt like a lot longer, that time. I still think about Poly every so often, and how I miss them so very much. I won't forget them.

Bio

uhhhh, hi there

I am here and I sorta exist so yes this is my ‘bio’ and it will probably be rather brief and suck and be sloppy, just like me.
So, without further ado..

stuff about me

Most people call me Barti or Bart as well as a few other things since it’s just easier or meaner than the actual thing - I invite you to do so as well.

I’m a 23-year-old (bday June 20th!) Texan who enjoys thunderstorms and rain far too much, and likes anime, running, metal music, and copious amounts of DRUGS candy, among many other cool things - like DnD and MTG.

I enjoy group rps as well as 1x1s. For groups I have what I think is a decent array of interests, most of it being profusely weeb-y. I like Fantasystuffs (Modern especially), supernatural themes, pretty much all Japanese stuff - including historically accurate settings - as well as general dark/grim themes, comedic slice of life trash, academy rps, unique plots, etc. etc. As for 1x1s I pretty much do romance, but I can do non-romantic stuff too if you give me something to work with xP
The only genre I find myself not entirely comfortable with is really sci-fi stuff, but, if the plot/idea catches me enough it can hold my interest. Oh, and my writing level is high casual to low advanced.

I’m a sarcastic, snarky, bipolar-depressed, degenerate garbage can, but generally people seem to like me (I don’t know why in the hot hell you would) - but if you would also like to be my friendo lemme know.
I don’t bite.
Usually owo xd rawr

welppp...I guess that’s okay for now
thanks for reading, you potatoes

@Metatrooper discord.gg/JTs8Uh Here's the Discord link where we hold the vast majority of our conversations. If you would like to join that it would be beneficial to the group's communication.

-Also, for the most part the mechanical fairs are handled. In part, here is what was decided, in our Discord, via The Jest(New GM, also called Red Sabath)'s rulings:

"Ok, so after a few days of pondering between me and others, we have gotten down what we're going to do regarding magic.

I'll start with what I believe I pointed out before: I'm not allowing Time. Space is fine, but Time is a definite no-no. I should probably eliminate Space as well, but at least one character seem to have Space magic on them (coughreisuscough) so I feel it wouldn't be fair to that character if I removed that as well. All the other classes of magic, (High, Mind, World, Underworld, Change) will remain intact.

Now onto something else I feel I should prepare you all for...Specifically those among you with a Child Soldier...

After some consideration, we have decided that the Child Soldiers will be slightly nerfed. Not for meta-reasons like they're too powerful, but because of story reasons, reasons of logic involving the predicament these children were placed in.

It's not really a big nerf in that respect, but simply put: Out of all the spells you have, only one or two of them you can safely say you've "mastered", by the time this RP starts. The rest of the spells will not be as good, need it be for reasons of a lack of a mentor, knowledge, or skill. Hopefully this will create a sense of Growth to these characters, that they're not necessarily powerful as they are, but can grow strong over time.
"

-It should be noted, Space magic was also removed because I (the controller of "reisus") am using a different character.

--Additionally:

"Now, for everyone who ISN'T making a Child Soldier. I'm about to explain my case regarding the E-skills.

...I'll be honest, I'm on the fence about E-skills being a thing. There should be a certain quality to players who are not using Magic like the Child Soldiers, but I can't at the moment figure out how.

I will say this though, if I do add the E-skills, the Stacking is gone We are not dealing with stacking e-skills.

Also, if I do add E-skills, the Array of strengths and weaknesses like with Magic, will apply to these as well. Basically meaning that, like before, some skills you are heavly talented with, and some you're not. So I guess a negative stack in a way.

Moreover, whether or not I use E-skills for this, either way, I am adding an additional section to the CS:

Misc. Abilities:

Cause honestly? I find it much easier to simply explain what characters can and can't do, explaining properly their strengths and weaknesses, rather than simply defining their quality and their existence by a list of talents.
"
@Metatrooper Ye can. However, it should be noted that the Ex. SKills and magic system is undergoing a re-work in all likelihood. So that part of ye sheet should probably be left mostly unstructured, so that it can fit into the new system that is in the works.
@Eviledd1984 Yes, I believe so, though we are at a slow point at the moment. You may join the discord if you like. Pretty sure we are always open
Reisus

Stella's blade streaked through the corridor, the light it let off cascading over all the edges of the hard interior of the prison ship, flying at a deadly speed down the hall directly towards their mysterious opponent. Before it was stopped instantly in its tracks, without reaching its intended target. As if caught by some invisible being. The creature now met the blade with some tool- a staff- which set it alight momentarily. And then the voice pierced Reisus' mind.

It was chilling- as one might expect. Someone- or something, whatever this opponent was- was in his head. He didn't like it. But who would? How are- he began to question in his own consciousness, as if the entity could hear his thoughts- but he was soon interrupted by the movement of Stella's now-still-floating blade. It began spinning rapidly until soon, more blades began to split off from the first one until there were several. And then they stopped and faced him and his comrades. And flew straight towards them.

However, his squad had other plans. One of the knives clattered to the ground before it reached the group. Reisus was not completely sure what the others were completely capable of, but only one reason made sense to him why only a single blade would clatter to the ground- the rest were illusions, and the floor had just been magnetized. Smart. he thought. That would probably be this "Stella". She seems like she'd like magnetism..

However, before he could advance to engage with their opponent, he noticed something else. Soon the group was being sprinkled with water- it had seemed as though the water from Eldrid's attempted cleansing was now being blasted back towards them by sudden, powerful winds. Reisus didn't know much about combining magic and items, or magical items, and he only knew what he could learn from books- so he wasn't sure what the source of the wind was, perhaps the staff?. But perhaps maybe it came from the runes that were fading from the environment ahead of them.

The winds blasting into his face and eyes made it somewhat difficult to keep them open- even causing his eyes to tear up a little. But he did his best, and in the commotion he thought he saw their mystery opponent trying to slip away.
"It's trying to escape." he warned. "If this is the way Realist is, we have to fight through it, or chase it away." he advised his team. His unoccupied hand moved down to his thigh, and soon his legs had become heavier due to his magic. He started stomping down the hall- which now resembled a wind tunnel- trying his best to keep his balance. He would attempt to fire at the seemingly fleeing opponent, but he doubted his accuracy would be very great with the forceful wind blowing the barrel of the hand-gun off-course.
Graham Booke

Graham closed his eyes at Mr. Haji's warning. He very much liked keeping his eyesight in-tact. At his age, he was glad he did not require spectacles to assist his vision, something that went to the envy of some of his other aging peers. As they joined hands to form a circle and closed (or didn't) their eyes, the elderly man felt the environment change around them. He could feel the change in lighting through his eyelids, and the atmosphere was much different than that of the building they had just magically departed from.
Graham opened his eyes and looked around, releasing an amused hum. Interesting... he thought. He released the hands of the younger folk around him, and adjusted his bag again, though it has seemed to be un-disturbed by their sudden transportation.
The new environment was less warm, and less welcoming than the previous building, upon first impression. The floors were not as cushioned as the carpeted floors of the dormitory building, and the area was not quite as elegantly furnished as a mass-living quarters would be. The structure of the place, from what he could tell, seemed rigid. It resembled the inside of a manufacturing building, or a factory. And that's what he'd learn it was, from the words of the one who greeted them, Ms. Alice.
Graham listened intently to the briefing they were receiving-- apparently the city was being threatened by magic users life himself.. Seeing as the old man was quite out of the loop when it came to the magic world, he was expecting to learn new things, but perhaps more would be piled onto his plate than he expected. From here they were led into another room, the doors opening to reveal a woman surrounded by machinery lying around the room. And she had some info...apparently they were heading to the circus for their first mission.

How peculiar.. he thought as he heard the odd music emanate from the machinery around them. He'd always wanted to go to the circus, yet despite his age, he never enjoyed the experience.
@Araby264We are mostly active in our discord server, so if it looks kinda silent here, that’s where all the talkin’ is goin’ on.
Reisus

It wouldn't be an understatement to say Reisus was impressed. With Kelan's entrance that is. Though it would've been safer to tell them it was going to happen so they didn't accidentally get crushed, but nevertheless, bad-ass. In any case, it seemed Kelan was separating from the group shortly after joining them, as it seemed the Decoy team was doing its job. The commotion could be heard from inside the sheep, though advancing further into the bowels of the craft could potentially obscure such ruckus, considering there seemed to something else making its own array of distracting noises. And these noises were much less pleasant...

The partially muffled moans and wails of the damned permeated the air around him, assaulting his ears with unpleasant thoughts. Whatever was causing this, whoever was causing this, obviously had no problem with such distractions. Which was worrying, to say the least. And they wouldn't have to wait long before they found out the apparent source, as they traveled down the halls, ever-increasing amounts of blood and gore surrounding them as they did so.

And that's when they saw...something at the end of the hall. It was eerie, really. It seemed to float. Potentially magic, or technology. It was hard to tell due to the fact that it/their entire form was clad in a dark cloak, which revealed no facet of its body, barring the single, red, glowing eye. Which stared directly at them. Reisus doubted this was-

A blade, coated in shining light, shot forth from the hand of his concealed teammate, Stella.

...It seemed she was taking the initiative. Reisus didn't disapprove, as he doubted they were an ally, and he didn't really want to find out the hard way. This way at least assured they weren't caught off guard. Reisus wielded his coilgun in his right hand, placing the opposite hand on his chest, activating his Graviton Touch power to lighten his body. He then posed his left hand to the side of his body, preparing to use the thrusters on his armor to dodge any ranged attacks he saw coming, as he leveled his gun at the opponent, readying a interception shot if they tried anything.
Graham Booke

"Would you like me to help you with that?" A young voice sounded.

"Why, how kind of you. But no thank you, I can carry it myself." said Graham, adjusting the decently sized bag he had shouldered as he left his quarters. The aid closed the door behind him. "I hope you don't mind. One must take a delicate hand when it comes to canvas.", he said as he patted the leather bag with a shaky hand.

"Of course, Sir. Now, if you will follow me right this way I can help you to the common room."

They proceeded to travel down the stairs to the common room, the younger man remaining close to the painter in case he needed assistance. "I've never abode in a building as large as this one...how very gracious of your employers to allow us to house here." he said, continuing the small-talk as they progressed down the stairs. He had only been living in this new building for a few days. Only a few days after the death of his beloved brother had he moved in here, and as such the pain still weighed down in his mind. But he had to look past it. Dwelling on what could not be changed would only make things worse, or so it was his philosophy.

"Yes Sir. Very gracious." the aid said as he remembered his wallet. He brought his attention back to his surroundings as they drew close to the common room. "Here you are Sir. Right over there is where your presence is requested."

Graham looked over to the middle of the common room as he made his last step down the stairs. A group was now forming there. He had aimed to come a few minutes early, but seeing as he was not used to living in a home with more than a single group of steps, he seemed to misjudge his time of arrival. At least he wasn't late, though. "Thank you, young man." he spoke as he shouldered the bag more correctly again, and made his way towards the center of the common room.

The first person he noticed was potentially the oldest present man, besides himself, who adorned bright shades of various colors, and a turban upon his head. His tone seemed light-hearted, and he was being very friendly to everyone, despite the bad news that they would be late. Then the man asked that they all joined hands in prayer. Graham was never a god-fearing man, but he was never one to make rude gestures, or seem rude due to lack of gesture, either. He approached closer, making his place among the others. He lightly held out his unsteady hand to one of the people there, a young blonde woman who a moment ago had blurted out. She seemed on edge. Perhaps the hand of an elderly man could calm her spirit, Graham thought. He left his other hand free to join with others.

Then there was a question: "What kind of game are you playing here?"

"Now, now. Who doesn't like games? I know I sure do." Graham said with a friendly smile.
