Righto, place called Meltaine popped up, it was pretty much Atlantis, except without the entire, you know, sinking part. Guardians defended the place, and were all like "We ain't gon let this land die", but then their land and everyone in it died to a giant fart. The land broke up with the earth (on bad terms; Earth got the dog), so Meltaine lost itself to dark hentai, especially tentacles.
A bunch of people named Jack popped up and said "We will save this land!" but then they became evil because of the evil that the big fart brought. Everyone died, and nobody wrote down that they died, so they all promptly forgot that everyone died. Because, you know, they died.
But people, who foresaw everyone dying, left the place to find a new home. One that wasn't so obsessed with farts and tentacles.
Thousands of years later, there's a new place, Wormwold. Nobody remembers Meltaine (re: everyone died, except for those who didn't die), so now nobody cares about Meltaine, except for the people who believe in fairy tales; those dinguses.
Rather than some commie paradise that Meltaine was, it became super India, with exactly 4 castes. Hearts are the best (yeee), Nobles have 5 spells, for some reason, Clubs have a preference to clubbing people in the face, and Diamonds are trash (metaphorically and literally).
Now you're some student of a big pointy city, trying to find a place in this backwater country. Most people inside of the big pointy city are also students, trying to be the tip-top of society (which is pretty trashy, beeteedubs, Hearts are always the tip top), but you seem to be having strange dreams. Dreams of a big ol' Commie paradise, terrible things rising from a dark schlong, and farts. At the end, you always see a big ol' smile, making you wonder if you are in some sort of weird, XXX-rated movie.
