Born to a blue-blooded family, it would be no surprise that Ria would be a student at St. Laurel's. After all, she was raised in a noble household. She was taught how to be a proper lady from the day she was born. The only problem being her personality. Ever since she was a child, Ria hated nice people. To her, the world of the upper-class was merely a veil of niceties hiding a bitter and cruel reality. It would be no surprise that Ria hated the high life.

She always acted out. Insulting others, being derisive, anything that would disrupt others. To her, people being nice was a lie propagated by parents in order to gain higher social standing. Passive aggression was a sin worse than murder. Disgusted by those who acted nice, Ria was always above them. She kept a harsh attitude towards others - a rude way of interaction, but honest. Unafraid to pull her punches, Ria symbolizes the exact opposite of nobility - compassion, virtue, and reservedness - but still acts with earnest and passion.

However, she is notorious in St. Laurel's. Known for being a terrible human being, Ria is one of the few people the students don't want to encounter. Because of the sheer amount of intel her ability gives, King had scouted her to act as a reserve member. Most of the other vigilantes were surprised that Ria could actually fight.

Powers:

Bestowed by the God of Sight, Ria's eyes are enhanced with both magical abilities and physical mutations.

As if stolen from an insect, Ria's right eye is a highly reflective black. Covered by hundreds of small lenses, her right eye can accurately track all movement within her line of sight. This doesn't come without its costs, however. As her eyes see things differently, she can't have her compound eye and her divine eye open without becoming extremely disoriented.

Ria's left eye is the exact opposite. Rather than having a wide field of view that allows her to react to all visual stimulus, her left eye is extremely analytical. It focuses its gaze deep into all visuals. By using this eye, she can accurately read enemies by focusing things such as muscle mass and even bone structure. By using this eye, her peripheral vision is tunneled, making it much harder to see what's going on.

By revealing both eyes at once, Ria can "paralyze" those who make eye contact with her. Becoming immobilized from fear, those who gaze into her eyes can only fight back using their willpower. Bewitching only works on those that are lesser beings. Those who are weaker or animals are afflicted heavily. Those who are on even ground are only slowed, filled with an indescribable dread. Those who are stronger don't really feel much, other than a feeling that they saw something in those eyes that they should not have.

Oh yea. That's fine. She can see physical traits real well. But her understanding is only human. Since blessings can end up with some disgusting stuff, you could have a bunch of twix bars instead of bones and she'd not question it.

He could be a blurry mass for her divine eye and she wouldn't really question it.

@Bartimaeus Alright, since I spent some time thinking about it, I'm actually going to critique the powers using my massive brain juice. It stems deeply from my hatred of lame-ass anime fights.

Beware! Rant!

The first problem that I personally see is the sheer range of abilities. Everyone else has a rather specific power. Ice, fire, not-dying, light, summoning, shadows, etc.

Samoth's abilities don't exactly do the dew here.

Rather than having a cohesive power with clear strengths and weaknesses, Samoth has a bunch of scattered powers all relating to a vague concept.

Quick list:
He can control gravity.
He's a master martial artist.
He reads The Art of War every day
He can communicate (and manipulate) with only a range limit.
Psychic blade, which honestly, is an ability by itself.
Telekinesis
ESP
Psychic constructs

There isn't much cohesion between any of this.

Why have gravity at all when you have telekinesis? Gravity doesn't even fit the mind theme - gravity is a fundamental force and _by itself_ is cool enough to warrant an entire core power dedicated to it with a bunch of sub-abilities supporting it.

Additionally, he doesn't really seem to have a weakness. I'm not talking about adding little weaknesses that nobody cares about, I'm talking about his inabilities. Usually, you can get a read on powers by thinking about what powers don't do. For example, Bak the weaponry girl.

Bak is entirely physical with a huge emphasis on ranged combat. Let's say, just as an example, a character could make a magical shield that reflects projectiles. Bak is at a huge disadvantage.

However, this is a good thing. Not every fight needs to be a fair and balanced duel where both parties can win. Sometimes, you just have to get shit on because it's a bad match-up. That's fine. Losing is fine. But what's more important that losing is learning to fight at a disadvantage. Bak could shed as much as she can to become highly agile. She can fire rockets at close range, trying to use the fact that she's covered in metal to survive. She can push her limits, and in effect, be forced to fight as an entirely different person.

If Ria fights Alto, there is no possible way for Ria to win. Ria relies on her eyesight to fight. Because Alto is a walking flashbang, Ria can only not be blinded if she doesn't look at him, making her powers useless. That's just how it goes sometimes. Ria, however, has an advantage against punch-mages. She can follow their moves enough to beat them.

Combat is always entertaining when a party is at a small disadvantage. You get to see an underdog come up and do their best. If the underdog wins, you can feel like they _truly_ deserved it. If they lose, you can see that they tried their best but still couldn't win.

Samoth's coverage is too high. He's able to: change gravity, use telekinetic attacks, have one-way-combat-communication, be a master martial artist, manipulate minds, basically have Ultra-Instinct, the ability to create psychic barriers, and he even sips some brain juice in his free time.

There's no way to fight against him, resulting in an empty stat-block that only exists to be a power gate: you must be this strong to win.

If you get close, he pummels with with martial arts. If you get far, he tosses shit at you and blasts you with brain beams. If you manage to try to overwhelm him, he still is aware about everything because of ESP. The only way to beat him is by being stronger, which makes for lame shounen combat all about yelling and friendship powers.

It's better to have a single open power, such as object creation, rather than a bunch of related powers that do specifically one thing.

I'm pretty sure you cannot make a punch more powerful by changing the gravity tho. Increasing gravity would just make you lose the energy that you gained from lower gravity. Other than that, I can't wait to fight him

It doesn't exactly work like that. The mass and speed of the fist remains the same, meaning the hit is the same strength. The only difference is now, you have to either add more STRENGTH upwards to keep the punch straight or just let it go down.

But at the end of the day, it's a god damn anime fighting RP and it's going to have people slicing bullets in half with swords and people running on walls and shit. Realism don't really matter.

I'm gonna be honest, I wanted to extend the time to give me an excuse to try out Rainbow 6 Siege, and 4 games later I ended up with a 0.1 KDA >.<, so it'll probably be fine...

Stick to it, mate. Siege has probably one of the hardest learning curves out of all FPS games because of the unforgiving nature of the rounds. Once you get that map-knowledge rolling, you'll soon be getting 1+ kills per round and be doing wacky shit boppin' people with the big-boy mallet.

Unlike her brother Takeshi, Chika is incredibly remarkable. Her hair is cut to be as noticeable as possible. In her vain attempt to grab the attention of others, she has even dyed areas of her hair with dangerous glowing chemicals. As a result of her job and hobbies, her skin is covered in chemical burns and strange scars. Despite her compulsive need to look interesting, her clothing choices are the exact opposite. She simply wears whatever is on hand. In fact, she has been wearing the same shirt for 2 years. Though thankfully, the shirt still smells like synthetic strawberry due to the last time Chika saw Takeshi.

Chika is a hurricane of a woman. Once upon a time, she was a reserved and gifted scientist. However, that time has since passed. Ever since the accident, she acts as though she were a child. From there, he nurtured her love of chemistry. After all, learning about each little molecule and how it worked was always more interesting than staring at an empty ceiling for days at end. Chika's confined life took its toll. She was always much more reserved than her brother. She was afraid of the world.

But as they got older, Takeshi began to work. The now-alone Chika began to spend weeks in solitude. The weeks were she was healthy enough to move allowed her to spend time studying these chemicals. After all, it was the only thing that interested her. Years passed. Despite having limited supplies, Chika had accumulated a mass of knowledge. Everything she needed to know to synthesize compounds.

But that's when Zero began to poke their noses into things.

Her brother was hired by Zero, an act that left Chika alone. However, thanks to that connection and multiple tests, Chika managed to get a job as a compound synthesizer at the same place her brother worked. She loved that job. She could pursue her hobby of chemistry there. One coworker, however, was strange.

She continued to investigating that worker. Every time a chemical went wrong or something almost leaked, they were involved. She gathered what little evidence that worker left behind. After a year or so, she finally had enough evidence to prove that her coworker was little more than a corporate spy, she was attacked. Injected with a large dose of random chemicals, her organs began to quickly shut down. The spy left the body to rot in the middle of a lab.

But as an act of god, the android janitor seemed to come in just in time. He called Zero who called Euromed who called anyone who could help Chika. In Zero's eyes, saving her life wasn't a priority. They just wanted to know who that spy was. Her life was saved after numerous operations replaced whatever organs had failed. The now-fixed Chika told Zero who the spy was and gave them all of her evidence.

As a thank you, Zero promoted Chika to Taste Engineer. Her weeks working became lonesome. Five days of working alone followed by one day of inspection. This solitude (combined with the after-effects of most organs being replaced) had left Chika to begin to experiment with drugs. Then do more drugs. Then even more. It had gotten to the point where she was functioning purely based on the amount of drugs she had consumed. Zero didn't actually care, however. Her workflow had increased and that's all that mattered.

Incidents involving her seemed to increase. During every inspection, if she suspected someone of being a spy, she would attack them. Violently. Every time, however, she was right. This propensity for violence and correct reasoning had made Zero think that she would be a perfect fit to be an operative for them. After all, she was someone who, with the exception of her brother, didn't speak to anyone else. Given unmarked materials and equipment, she was sent on her way to do whatever Zero said. She didn't ask questions. She liked working for Zero. They were a good company.
