Nyma

 Day 5: Early Morning 

The spider had leapt upon her spear, impaling itself upon her spear a bit before running off. It seemed her spear had been placed well for intercepting the spider. At least, for that very instance. Gooey spider blood of an alien color staining the end of the shaft of her spear, Nyma kept the weapon held up and ready to intercept another attack. Adrenaline ran through her veins, pushing her senses, the muscles of her body, all of this beyond the norm as it would with any living creature that could undergo a "fight or flight" response as she was right now. Nyma noted the angle of the creature's attack, and squatted herself a bit lower where she stood to make her spear more prominent than herself as she kept the spear up and ready. Its tip stood higher than her head in this current posture of hers in case it came from above, yet was out enough that a side attack could be intercepted even with her reaction time. 

Young goblin eyes scanned over the treetops carefully and cautiously, kept sensitive for any signs of movement, of rustling, of some sort of attack. The shriek it had let out was different than what she and Barth had heard before going back to the cave the other day, that much was certain. But for the moment that didn't matter. It seemed this creature relied on speed and stealth, with its webs and poison as well, to ensnare and kill prey quickly. However, it didn't seem to judge the presence of things like a spear well, and so perhaps this pouncing mode, an imitation of the spider's own movements in a defensive manner alongside the light but if squatting, would allow her to better secure the kill. Or at least......stand more of a chance against this thing in this situation. 

"Barth, stay close, and get your stick up. This thing wants to find a good angle of attack, but if we're covering those points it might get desperate and run onto one of our weapons again," the young female goblin whispered aloud where she and Barth alone could hear, her tone a tad harsh but also determined in the sense of not wanting to die. 

If the goddess had heard her, perhaps some help would arrive in time. Or...something. Anything to make sure this thing was dead so she could harvest it. Honestly, she had no idea what spider meat tasted like, but if she had the chance it was more than worth a try for her if they survived this encounter. 

Unknown to the young goblin, that "frayed rope" she so thought of it as inside of her, that part able to make and seeking a connection, was flailing about, reaching, stretching, aiming to connect with anything that could help. Perhaps this gift too lashed out in desperation to survive when she was in danger? For the moment, the full truth was perhaps unknown.

Inventory: 

-2 wooden spears, each made from a long, young tree with twig-sized branches having been plucked off. Its base is just thick enough to be considered a very small club head, and this part has been sharpened into a honed and very effective point with enough weight to balance the head and help it do more damage on impact. Gives a bit of reach like any basic weapon might, and has a healthy length, durability, and flexibility to also function very usefully as well. 

(1 is with her, the other left at cave)

-1 young tree like the 2 others she already sharpened into a spear. The other was left to Goblin Barth, along with his walking stick.

-3 rocks, one of them rather sharp, she has allowed herself and Barth to use to sharpen their sticks into spears for hunting and protection

-Knowledge Of The 3: Knowing the names of the god and goddesses of the world they live in they can now properly worship them. 

***God of light Ramos he is the god of light and he gives us the very sun we see during the day he is purity itself and as such is mostly worshiped by most creatures in one form or another.

***Duvelna she is the goddess of death and night. She is death itself and must be respected if not feared.

***Shirila the goddess of the earth as she is the embodiment of the earth and life itself, she is also known as the eternal mother.

Skill: (the one she was born with)

-“Connection to Nature”: Due to her innate and lifelong connection to nature she built up in her past life, as a goblin Nyma bears this skill/gift in her new life. This skill allows her to connect with things such as elementals, elves, forest spirits, and the like, which includes being able to communicate with them as part of this connection.

Other:

-Knowledge Where Animal In The Starting Forest Are

***The rabbits are easy to find, as they prefer bushes and berries they aren't hard to find.

***There are beasts known as vipers and they are snakes larger then yourself, dangerously poisonous if you use this cave as your starting point. They are found to the south east.

***Next are spiders and they are found to the northeast. Are also poisonous. (won't deal with at same time as vipers due to their separate locations)

***The wolves can be beaten however their threat is in their numbers and how they coordinate, never attack a pack alone as its suicide. They are found to the west, but during the night they travel to the east. They know better then to come in the cave, but outside you are fair game.

***Finally bats are usually found in the north, and prefer to hide in trees to avoid sunlight.

Note: "Keep in mind the farther your travel from this cave the more dangerous the beasts."

Sounds interesting right?! Now I'm inspired to come up with a whole new tree thanks to you! What ill tell you now, you better like spider meat@Jangel13

I feel honored! :D

Ok everyone, this spider has gotta go down! And more must die for the cause! For the future spider goddess Nyma Duvelna! 

Also Nyma shall be eating a lot of spider meat from now on...at least if she ever gets to the point where hunting spiders without having to go through a proper encounter is reached. XD

I suppose I should wait for Crusader this time so that Barth doesn't mess up the plan....then again his actions did cause the spider to leap into Nyma's spear. Hmmm...@Kheliop

@KheliopHmmmmm......*ties Barth to Nyma's arm* "Ok Barth, new plan. I call it 'Operation: Meatshield'. Just....hit them with your stick if they get close. At least until we get that spear back. Then you can poke them!" 

Ah, but i jest. I am hoping that @ReusableSword posts before i do, so we can have backup before we act next. Perchance less of a chance to die then i suppose. :P
