The man in this room didn't seem to be someone to get in a proper fight with. Scorched and cooked insectoid-humanoid bodies littered around him, the smell of ashes and smoke and heat, all of it and the glowing white hot edge of his blade spoke of both skill and a very lethal intent. Diana had a feeling that something might very well happen, just as it had leading up to this point in time. This could be one of the loonies they kept under check until all of this went down, someone who'd say stuff like this (for all she knew) and would kill them all regardless because of some form of paranoia.

Since to her it didn't seem the rest of the group was going to answer yet...she would try something. Albeit, be ready for battle. She was a bit silly at times, yes, but not outright stupid by any means.

"We're all just mercenaries who got called over here, got locked up here out of the blue by the asshole Warden, and really want to get out of here before those zombie..bug...things kill all of us. Though keeping those things from getting out would be a good idea...and some of the other prisoners already tried to kill us just a minute ago."

Diana seemed to muse a bit as she spoke to the sword-wielding knight, at least at the end of her speaking. Her crossbow was held close, a bit defensive in nature, but it was nothing more or less than what this night was doing. One could call it perhaps "odd" to just come out with the truth. Albeit, she didn't want to risk anything else at the time. If this guy was too crazy, then...well that was going to be that and they'd have to deal with it.

She was glad Kris was ok after that last fight, though.

? Honestly, its a nifty idea. Plus the amount of time that has passed since the gods killed Enkidu, it should be feasible, wouldn't be the most crazy thing we have. I mean, we got a demon lord possessed cyborg who's badass.

He'll fit right in with extreme Eighth Grader Syndrome Girl the Fake Magitech user. Meming I swear. Hopefully bossmen like it.

Enkidu

You, good person of the internet, get an internet cookie for guessing my idea spot on there. XD

The base idea was "old mud/dirt composing Enkidu was found", since it radiates a magical energy likely (even if faint), and it was used in the creation of a new "mud doll" by a powerful mage. While not a divine construct, this makes this "copy" Enkidu essentially pretty dang strong on a superhuman level in what it can do. Altering height/weight/form, essentially its appearance is not like the original but is fluid and shape-able at its own will.

Plus it can use earthen substances to regenerate lost mass.

This one isn't made by the gods in this case, though the original was made by the gods and thus its recycled materials are great in quality, but it is still quite a force to be reckoned with if it went all-out. Still defeatable, killable, not some god-mod thing that is unbeatable.

Albeit sleeping gas probably won't work on a mud doll, haha. XD

But, er....heck i hope this idea isn't a terrible one. It is not something meant to be overpowered, but still rather strong in what it can do. A thing best for brute force and versatility in form/shape being applied for uses like spying, unlike the better specialized and varied abilities of everyone else in the RP. ^^;

On a side note....is a non-human character, say a being made of mud by a mage, a possible acceptable idea (i ask out of curiosity)? XD

Hmm...what would you mean by "dial it down". I suppose a fusion thing would be out of the question then, a bit too close to the original myth and...that is an odd myth yes. What about the first one though? Er...i can try to think of some ways, but, er, i suppose i also want to know a bit more about what you mean by "grounding" it more in this particular case.

I guess overall, what kinds of parameters would you want about them to better "ground" and "dial it down" as a backstory then? Her choice and all of that stuff.

I can understand trying to make sense though. Every day of my life. @_@

@Altered Tundra Well, i suppose the reference a touch of mythology, touching into some real irl matters.

There are a few ways i was thinking it could go down, though i am afraid to ask considering the awkwardness of such a concept and not wanting to offend, listing a couple ideas here for reference:

Thoughts

1. The child is born intersex, and is allowed to grow until they decide "what they feel more like" on their 6-7th birthday. Then on that day, Aphrodite asks them what they want to be. After all, as a goddess, she loves her children and wants to help them move on. Child then wishes, "i want to be as pretty as mommy...but, if i want to i want to be a mommy or a daddy!", doing so from an innocent and pure perspective of a young kid being approached with a matter more serious than they know.

Aphrodite agrees if that is "what they want", and grants this wish. Boom, both sets of organs, but an overall beautiful female body as they grow up.

I know it sounds very odd....but i suppose it is an exploration of what, if a Greek goddess was in this situation, could happen at the child's request. Someone in a position that many would potentially find struggle in, and the unique take on life that could be had from such a position.

2. Apollo prophesied to Aphrodite that she was pregnant with twins, with both twins being conjoined, weak, and potentially going to die if nothing was done and one or the other died. But to try to save their lives, or at least save on or the other due to the situation, the goddess essentially fused them together, using the fusion of the bodies of Hermaphroditus and the nymph Salmacis from legend (aka the past for her) as a reference for her doing this.

This had been done before to unite the bodies of a nymph and her youthful son by Hermes (Hermaphroditus) forever, saving the youth from the nymph's...assault. All in all an obtuse solution only possible when Greek deities decide to meddle in thing and fiddle with humanity, really, and in this case a goddess trying to help keep at least one twin alive.

End result, a similar situation but more skewed due to the odd nature of this "fusion" to try to save a life. You get the OC being rather female physically, but with male parts. Or a female with both sets of parts, or similarly unique arrangements only possible via the gods' power. A "what-if" scenario imitating an old legend about one of Aphrodite's divine children.

Ironically, such children were tied to prophetic tidings, i believe. If i read up right on things. But, er, hopefully this is all legible. ^^;
