Work has kept me busy today, so I'm delayed getting the next event post up but its coming.
Alright!
I'll get my post up after yours. (Even if I could make a medium size post at the moment encompassing Kal-El's flyby by Mars and Thor's arrival to New York before Bounce posts, not much of it would be Martian Manhunter's doings.)
<Snipped quote by Lord Wraith>
It's comic time, everyone's synced unless you decide they're not and time never moves unless you say it does. That said I'm sad to have not seen any references to a homeless waster in Liverpool looking for his missing junkie friend. Does 'shared universe' mean nothing to you people?
Sorry, there's been nothing newsworthy yet. And MM is a New York police man, not a Liverpool/London Bobby.
<Snipped quote by King Kindred>
Feels unnecessary, just acknowledge events and occurences in a way that best suits your character or the overall consensus.
For instance there's no reason to assume that anything happening during the Superman posts are happening at the same time Fire Trolls are attacking New York. Also various posts advance time different.
The general year and season is about as specific should apply across the RP.
Except that with character crossovers, having a rough timeframe is useful so that we know by and large what's going on with those characters at that moment of interaction. And so we can then have events have ripple effects across the rest of the universe.
We're trying to be a new shared universe here. We may as well try not to fall onto Comic weaknesses as much a possible.
Glad to see Clark come back to Earth! But oh, what a homecoming. I'm looking forward to seeing where he goes from here and the upcoming turf war with Thor.
Also love that now we have Lori Lemaris in the world. Seems like a good tie between Clark and Aqualad.
She doesn't want to seduce the flaming skeleton? Feeling like an outcast here.
Well sorry, but frankly, I think flaming skeleton would be too close to how Martians would view the souls of the dammened, like a form of zombie. So litterally their horror monster.
After wrestling with it for a bit, I've decided that I'm dropping out as Spider-Man. Just not in the right headspace for that character and I ended up overthinking some things. I'll edit my posts to make them non-canon and free up a clean break.
I'll likely have a different app up soon, just not sure what it'll be yet.
That's tough, but good for you. We'll be here for whatever new character you use.
So what I'm hearing is that Queens needs a new neighborhood friendly superhero.
I'll be sure to watch with popcorn.
Whoever takes over Spiderman, J'onn still works under Gwen Stacy's father.
Sorta? It was honestly the only reason I made him that young. It wouldn't really change much for Donald to be older, but would give more legitimacy to his dad wanting him to work instead of just staying home and playing hero and would make Cay'an seem less like a predator for manipulating him with sex.
Look, Cay'an seeming to be more of a predator than intended would be a lot worse if you hadn't decided to come back.
I was thinking the best bet for a second choice would be Wally West if he charged in, being able to play off his loneliness to get him to help her. The more palatable option would have been Eel O'Brian, though I think he would have seen through her easily.
But of course, both of those characters aren't even part of the event. And Arthur was straight up too young and too well-connected for her to want to deal with. Which would leave Firestorm and Captain Marvel, both of whom are far younger than they look in their hero forms. Though to give her a little bit of credit, she wouldn't have used sex as part of her toolset once she realized that they were in their teen years.
The Wisdom of Solomon is a difficult thing to balance as a story-telling medium. I think i'm just going to stick with "Every time Captain Marvel thinks "Boy, i really wish i could do this thing" The Wisdom whispers in his ear and goes "You literally can, here's how."" Which i think is the best way you can balance it without us going into the "Shazam just has a copy of the script so he knows everything that needs to happen." Territory.
I would suggest just use it in the 'figure out unique solutions to problems set before him' way, like he's Professor Layton figuring out how to create a contraption to fly with out of what's around him. That's basically the way that the comics did it, albeit with him being able to find new forms of matter as the plot demanded through science work.
Your post with trying to be diplomatic with the Fire Troll is a good example of that frankly.

M'gann though is a prodigy and her time as the Martian Maiden has taught her how to push her powers to their limits. She can do much of what her father can do with telepathy and telekinesis, from flying to healing to light illusions and the like. However, she can push them farther and for longer. She also cannot psychically control or manipulate fire. Mostly since Martian psychic powers have a strange side effect where fire tends to worsen and go out of control if any of their psychic energy is used on it though she was also given some extra conditioning to fear it.
◼ Shapeshifting Shapeshifting is another inherent Martian trait that she has though she's not the most proficient with it yet. Her training as made her be able to change quickly but it takes her more time to figure out what form to take and she has a harder time deviating from her regular form.
◼ Phasing Technically an aspect of both shapeshifting and psychic powers, only among the most powerful and skilled Martians are able to turn invisible and phase through people, buildings, and objects at will. M'gann is among those so skilled. It is an incredibly draining power but she can keep it up for 15 minutes at a time.
◼ Superstrength, Reflexes, & Durability Her strength and durability are slighter lesser than her father, given that she is a teen girl as opposed to an adult man. But it's still more substantial than most men. Her reflexes though are quicker than her father's.

◼ Martian Mixed Martial Arts She was taught unarmed martial arts moves in order to compensate for her slighter frame.

M'gann J'onzz grew up the beloved older daughter of J'onn and M'yri'ah with a fairly typical sibling bond with her younger brother J'onat'onn. In school, she had her group of friends, got top marks, and was overall well-regarded by her peers and her teachers, but also had her rivals and her bullies. It was life though and she was looking forward to when she'd be in high school then off to higher education when she scored well on the exams. The house fire changed all that.
Her memories of that time are the haziest. One moment, she was setting up to perform a private play with her friends. The next, the house was ablaze and strangers in protective suits were charging in before she could even scream. The next moment, she was in a dark room, deep underground, where she wasn't able to sense what went outside that room. She was told that her family was dead, from her father to her little brother. White Martians had been behind the fire, a mindless act of violence meant to be the spark to cause the fall of the Martian United Government so that the world would plunge into anarchic chaos. But she had the power to help, if she'd allow them to train her. And in her grief and anguish, she agreed.
The training was grueling and she often chaffed under the isolation, but she persevered on, tackling the matter with as much determination as a geometry problem. And when things got too tough, her uncle Malefic would come down and give her a consoling ear to rant to and a shoulder to cry on. It surprised her to find that he was such a major scientist and managed to be allowed to see her, but she was glad of it. It gave her at least one familiar face during that dark time.
She expected that she'd have to stay training until she became an adult. But instead, much to her surprise, it was soon after her fifteenth birthday when she was called upon to take up her uniform and to become the Martian Maiden. She's taken to the role eagerly, seeking to get revenge for her family and to protect her nation. Not knowing that soon, cracks will form in the world as she knows it.

Well, I had already laid the groundwork for Miss Martian to be Martian Manhunter's daughter. In one sense then, this just completes that premise and also explores the Martian United Government's evil from a point of view that hasn't come to understand why it's wrong yet. It'll make sense then when she's more 'end justifies the means' in her actions and all the ways she's similar to but also contrasts Martian Manhunter. Yet I do also want her to be her own person who will have her own story and her own adventures.
For right now, she's on Mars as the Martian United Government's mascot and superhero. If/when she comes to Eartha and ends up reunited with her father, their relationship will at first be estranged and J'onn will be trying to connect with, support, and also correct the daughter that he thought was dead and ended up living a life he never wanted her to live. M'gann meanwhile will be dealing with all the revelations she'll be having while also being a teen girl trying to figure out who she wants to be, seeking her own path between her father's wishes and the world she's known. I also want her to take part in the Teen Titans if that comes off the ground.

Part of me wants to do a second character just to bring up the average age here.
So basically, you need to be someone around 100 years old in order to counteract most of this crew. Then if you were a Marvel character, that would help balance out our DC heavy character rooster.
Hmm...Seems Professor X is basically open? Like, you would have to arrange with Mao Mao, Stormyx, and Terry about how his past would work with their characters, but it does seem like he's a character that's definitely noticeable by his absence with how things are shaping up. Besides, the ground work is already being laid for Mutant plots to happen.
The other possibility would be for you to be Dr. Von Doom.
