If there is one thing the United States Government is good at, it's taking advantage of a crisis. In the late 1970s, as the CIA's highly controversial assassination and intelligence programs made front page news and agents were dragged in front of Congress, the Department of Defense wrested the banner of spycraft and assassinations from the CIA. They created the Joint Special Operations Command, a special forces taskforce hidden deep inside the Pentagon's bureaucracy that could carry out the CIA's mission with trained soldiers instead of bureaucrats.
In the aftermath of the 9/11 attacks, JSOC became the tip of the spear when it came to warfare and intelligence gathering in the "Global War on Terror." With very little oversight and a massive black budget, politicians and journalists alike are too afraid to dig too deep and appear as if they did not support the military.
Now, as the metahuman crisis develops across the world, JSOC and DoD planners look back to the past to decide the future. While some departments experiment with metahuman prisoners as soldiers, a parallel program "Task Force M" relies on an even more unconventional fighting force to protect the world.

He is just a bland turtle who practices in the dojo with Sensei and meditates in his bedroom. But beneath the shell lies someone who has always felt condemned to being the honor-bound prodigy his brothers despise, especially Raph. They couldn't understand the self-sacrifice being asked of him. It's the responsible choice, one he would make again.
► Raphael has a temper, a strong one. He knows it, obviously. And there are plenty of reasons for him to be angry. Leo being such a goddamn control freak, Donnie always acting as if he's surrounded by idiots, Mikey in general, Sensei being... well, a sensei. But all of that doesn't mean he hates them. Far from it, he's protective of his family because he understands how the real world works. In it, talking turtles aren't welcomed into society but dissected in a lab instead. No one realizes it, or even understands him, and that alone makes him so mad.
► Donatello is the engineer and the brains of the clan. He's the reason that his brothers haven't become ignorant of the outside world. But, as a consequence, he became the go-to turtle for maintaining their lair and equipment, while also performing occasional emergency repairs courtesy of Mikey and Raph. He spends most, if not all, of his time in his workshop as a result. That's fine with him because it allows him to contribute to the clan and make up for being the weakest of his brothers, all while doing what he loves: building, modifying, and repairing things.
► Michelangelo, as the youngest, has never been taken seriously by either his brothers or father Sensei. He's an underachiever, a slacker, immature, and stupid overall. Well, for one, he isn't that stupid despite what everyone thinks. He's no bookworm, but he is emotionally intelligent—important in such an unconventional family like his. Growing up in the dark, dingy sewers hasn't diminished his open-hearted and cheerful nature in the slightest; it's the glue that holds the family together. That might have made him naive about humans and the surface, though. -

"The Hamato Clan rose to prominence during the Edo period for their experienced ninjas and an advanced form of ninjutsu that pushed a person's body to its peak physical condition. However, the chaos of Bakumatsu brought forth the beginning of the end for the shogunate, forcing the clan to westernize and support the Imperial Court. Much of their size, wealth, and influence dwindled as a result, but their ability to adapt to whatever situation presented itself was rewarded with their survival into the late 20th century. Hamato Yuuta, my father, faced the same dilemma that had cursed our ancestors when The Demon approached him with a simple offer: join his recently established League of Assassins or be forcibly assimilated.
Whatever honor remained died when the deal was finalized, but it was a calculated move that had been done countless times centuries ago. It was how the Hamato Clan survived the Sengoku period, thrived during the Edo period, and consolidated its power in the Meiji era. That, and their expertise and knowledge of ninjutsu, were still undoubtedly valuable. And their cooperation was rewarded with greater autonomy and access to resources normally restricted to sub-organizations of the League of Assassins. The privilege wasn't squandered.
I truly believe that on his deathbed, my father thought he had brought honor back to his clan. He left the world comforted with the knowledge that his sons were destined to usher in a golden age. My students, what you must take away from this brief history lesson is this: do not hesitate to embrace change on the grounds of sustaining the past, or you will end up being nothing more than a footnote in the pages of history."

Much of what you already know about the turtles won't change, besides slight adjustments to make them fit better with the story. The only significant alteration was that Splinter and Shredder became part of the League of Assassins through the Hamato clan. His reaction times are still sharp and he has committed to a strict regiment to keep his reflexes sharp. At fifty-seven years of age, he looks remarkably younger due to a battle with Ra’s al Ghul that plunged both the men into the notorious Lazarus Pit. Such an interaction has slowed the aging process as well as tampered with his brain.

Prior to his vigilante career, Thomas Wayne was notorious for his once-in-a-generation mind. He was one of the most acclaimed surgeons in the world and often guest lectured at the University of Gotham which is where he met his wife, Martha Kane.
Martha Kane would introduce him to the world of social justice, charity, and her inner circle of friends. In many respects Thomas was the brains and Martha was the heart, and it caught the attention of everyone. A bitter irony that would lead to the murder of their son, Bruce, eight years later at the hands of a man named Joe Chill. It would be the undoing of both Martha and Thomas in ways no one could have anticipated. A bitter, abhorrent curse fit only for Gotham City.
Obsessed with vengeance, Thomas fell into a depression of rage and sorrow. He lost sense of himself. His oath as a surgeon, and his values instilled by both his family and Martha. It didn’t take long for the symbolism of a Bat to inspire his mutation into a creature of violence and retribution. A rot that would intoxicate his soul for many subsequent years; and so he became the vigilante known as The Batman.
For it was the criminal underworld who destroyed his family, so he too, would destroy theirs.
And he would start with Francesco Falcone, the man who ordered Joe Chill to kill his son to send a message. It would be only fitting that Falcone would receive a much more brutal, painful, and final message. It was then, after killing Falcone, that the domino fell. The Batman continued to target the crime families, their corruption, and their taint on the city. It would eventually lead to new influences to come to the city, or to rise from the shadows, and some of them happened to be creatures driven by Gotham’s darkness. Soon Gotham became a place of monsters and maniacs. So the stories of The Batman began.
P L O T ( S ) & G O A L ( S ) P L O T ( S ) & G O A L ( S )
Batman was one of the first mainline characters in Ultimate DC, then run by Andy and Master Bruce, that I ever wrote. I feel like returning to the beginning but doing something different with it should be my goal here to keep my interest in a comic-based concurrent game. So this is where my brain went.
It also helped that I’ve recently been rewatching the Flashpoint adaption of the comic book arc that DC Animation put out some years ago.
This concept is not one where Bruce Wayne is Batman or even alive; it is an interpretation of the brutality and precision of Thomas Wayne in the face of a tragedy that broke him years ago. At this point in his career, Thomas Wayne has fought a variety of foes in Gotham City and has found himself facing the same question Bruce often does in the middle of his career: does his presence invite the madness that has come to Gotham, and is he merely a deterrent and not a cure of Gotham’s darkness?
I am leaving more tangible certainties of his backstory open to collaboration. The book is open, though I will have enough foundational pieces present and be clear in what kind of Batman he is and has been. He’s still a hero, but if people in the mainstream continuities were skeptical of Bruce due to his methods, then Thomas would make them believe Batman is beyond saving – or at least for a time.
I know I am already playing Black Canary - and I have no intention of voiding my interest in doing so - but this is something I’d like to do in parallel. This will character-lock me to Gotham, but I’m hoping it’ll be acceptable despite my first Black Canary (as of the time of this writing) being a work in progress. I never expected Half Pint to stop being Batman, so the next best thing is someone who has been wanting to play this exact concept for over a year now. I can’t pass up this opportunity. If accepted, expect my full commitment to this game as a collaborator.

A seemingly normal boy who was born to seemingly normal parents and grew up in a seemingly normal life. Until his father died, leaving his mother unable to support both herself and her son. They moved into F.E.A.S.T. a homeless shelter in Queens, until they could get back on their feet. That time never came, unfortunately. One day, a supervillain attacked by the name of Madame Monstrosity. Taking several of the people at F.E.A.S.T. to be her latest guinea pigs for a mutation experiment. In this, he had his DNA crossed with that of a highly venomous Spider, his mother didn't survive the experiments.
He seemed doomed to be nothing but a footsoldier in the army of Madame Monstrosity until something happened... He had no idea why or how, but somehow the mind control had been broken on him. His will was once again his own and he took every advantage of it. Using his new powers, he fought and defeated Madame Monstrosity and freed those who she experimented on from her Mind Control. Everyone was free. Free to go back to their homes and their families... Except little Bailey... With nobody left to look after him, he took the advice that he had heard from Old Lady Parker who volunteered at F.E.A.S.T. about how, with great power, comes great responsibility. Bailey went back to F.E.A.S.T. and managed to cobble a basic super-suit together that would compliment his powers and set out into the world as "The Amazing Spider-Boy."
During his adventures, he was taught by a number of other heroes how to fight and how to survive. Although he found himself alone regularly. This all came to ahead in one of his adventures, Bailey found himself protecting an old man who some shady government agent type and their goons seemed insistent on capturing. Bailey refused to back down, to bend or to stop his defense of this seemingly helpless old man. Beaten, bloodied and all but dead on his feet, Bailey wouldn't let them just do what they wanted. He had great power and with it came great responsibility.
Elsewhere in the Multiverse, little did either of them know that the Web of Life was under attack by the same forces that had freed him from Madame Monstrosities control. During the attack, Bailey's place in the Web was cut. Instantly, the entire universe ceased to know him. All trace of him erased, all presence of his memory, photo's, records, anything and everything to do with Bailey's life instantly erased. The only one who remembered anything was the old man. Little did any of them know that the old man was a Wizard. An immortal being who watched time and space and sought those who could protect it from those who would damage it.
Remembering the boy, the Wizard sought him out in this new timeline. Unfortunately, not even his infinite sight could find the boy. Eventually he found out about the battle on the Web of Life. The boy had been removed entirely, not just re-written, but deleted. Nobody but he even remembered him. That boy was almost killed saving him from the forces of evil... Taking drastic measures, the Wizard travelled to see The Fates. The 3 sisters who controlled the Loom that wove all that is, was, could or possibly. Making a deal, they took the images from the old mans memory and they wove his image into the loom.
Now Bailey has appeared in this strange world. He is once again alone... Except for the Wizard... The Wizard sees what he is, what he could be and has plans for the boy... But one last test is needed. When the boy hits rock bottom, how will he react?

Bailey is an interesting character who has potential, but i also like the idea of exploring a character who is forced to adapt from one set of powers to a completely different type. Plus, the mystical side of Spider-Man is always an interesting place to explore. Combining that with the always interesting idea of the Old Gods of the world attempting to stay relevant in this new world of Superheroes and The New Gods. All of these elements blend together to create a narrative of a boy who has always found himself at the whims of others and never been given a choice of his own. And even those who are attempting to help him have ulterior motives. Doesn't hurt that i will finally have the opportunity to portray one of my favourite supervillains, silently watching, orchestrating, one who has plans for both the deep magics of the wizard as well as the Web of Life itself.

Wally West can feel a connection to other speedsters through the Speedforce- he can even hear their voices, on occasion- but he is too inexperienced with his abilities to reach out.
◼ Superhuman Speed The principle power gifted to the Flash by the Speedforce is in its name: speed. When he channels the force everyone else might as well be standing still. He can count the wing beats of a hummingbird. Bullets fly at a snail's pace. Only a few beings have ever been able to keep up with him, and none so far have outpaced him. Fast as Wally is, though, he knows the consequences of complacence.
◼ Speedforce Aura The 'aura' is an invisible field of energy drawing power from the Speedforce. It surrounds Wally's body, insulating him from friction, and manipulating sound and oxygen to function for him even at enormously hypersonic speeds. Kinetic energy passing into his body is also lessened, so as to stop him from shattering into pieces if he trips and flies into a wall at Mach 150. His subconscious is largely responsible for dictating what his aura filters and what it lets through; he understands but a fraction of its potential. -

Wally West is the nephew of Iris West, better known to the world as THE FLASH. Wally watched her die on national news when the Silver Surfer, the Herald of Darkseid, drove his fist through her heart. Boom tubes opened across the sky, and armies of parademons descended upon the world. The streets of Central City ran red.
Wally couldn't just stand by and watch the world end. He sought out Harrison Wells, a verifiable genius and Iris's former mentor. Wally had a plan. A stupid, dangerous plan. Dr. Wells stood strongly opposed to it even as he strapped Wally to the very same chair Iris West had sat in before her accident. Within the walls of StarLabs, West and Wells replicated the event down to the smallest possible detail.
It should've killed him. Instead, it connected him to the Speedforce. It transformed his every molecule into the perfect conduit for that cosmic power. Donning a version of his aunt's costume, Wally joined what heroes still lived in fighting for their world.
Superman. Spider-Woman. Thor. Big Barda. Vigilante. They were a strange, eclectic bunch, but they were earth's last line of defense. They were the JUSTICE LEAGUE.
They fought the good fight. Defeated the Herald, and brought the armies of darkness to their knees. But when Darkseid stepped down from his throne, the Justice League failed. Those that did not fall to the corruption of the Lord of Apokolips died at his hands. The Flash was the lone survivor of that fateful, final battle- because he ran. He was only a teenager then. A child thrown into an impossible situation and asked to rise to the challenge.
He didn't.
He ran.
Pain, sorrow and guilt rushed down to his very marrow. That cocktail of emotion fueled him as he ran and ran, gaining more speed than he could have possibly imagined. The Speedforce knew this was wrong. This was not the outcome ordained by fate. It carried Wally away. In a burst of impossible speed, it shunted him out of his doomed universe and into this one.
A shadow followed him through the Speedforce. It harrows his every step, taking the forms his guilty conscious most fears. It is judgement given form. It is death, black as midnight, and it will not rest until it finally catches up to him.
Here, in this new world, he's found a paradise. Everyone he once knew still lived and breathed. There was no alien conqueror looming on the horizon. It was a young earth full of heroes, full of potential. Wally knew this was his only chance to start over. He intends to make things right, if he can. To find those he hurt in his world and ensure they had a better future in this one.
P L O T ( S ) & G O A L ( S ) P L O T ( S ) & G O A L ( S )
I'm looking to apply for Wally West for a few reasons. Firstly, I wanted to write a second character that is as stark a contrast to Frank Castle as possible. Wally is young, joyful and driven to do genuine good. Even if his life is defined by tragedy, he strives to use his powers to help others. Its an archetype I enjoy, and I think Wally's quippy, lighthearted personality will be a nice break from the dourness of Punisher.
Secondly, I want to hearken back to one of my favorite runs from yesteryear, Sep's Iris West from Ultimate One. I really enjoyed his spin on the Flash mythos, and when I was mulling over how I wanted to play Wally, Sep's old run was the first thing that came to mind. Wally being the successor to that universe's Flash has a few advantages, in my opinion.
With Barry, his and Wally's relationship deepened when Wally became Barry's sidekick. Wally got to learn how to be the Flash by working side by side with Barry for years before donning in the costume. Here, though? Iris is dead and a world away. He bears the responsibility of legacy without having an experienced Flash to lean on. They're flesh and blood. Losing her impacted him to his core.
Since his arrival in our universe, Wally has tried to find a place for himself. He's desperate to make connections to this world's versions of his own family. There's one small problem, however: this world has its own Wally West. He's an ordinary high school senior preparing for university. Pretending to be this Wally so he can spend time with Iris and Barry has proved...challenging.

The heiress to a mafia empire whose family was slaughtered before her eyes. A man born from nothing who had to fight tooth and nail to make something of himself. The two lived very different lives, learning different lessons and taking on their own distinct philosophies. She was hellbent on retribution, hunting down those who had wronged her. He was trying to save a city that was eating itself from the inside out.
Helena has operated as the Huntress for two years, and six months ago she took out mob boss Stefano Mandragora who had orchestrated the hit on her entire family. Since then, she's been prowling the streets and taking out what remains of the mob in Gotham, occasionally venturing across the river to Bludhaven. Vic has operated as the Question for five years now, training under Richard Dragon after being bested by Lady Shiva and then trying and failing to save Hub City from collapsing in on itself. Two months ago he left the city behind to wander the United States, and now he's found himself in Gotham.
Time for their worlds to collide.

Huntress and Question are one of my favorite pairings in the entire DCU. They also never really showed up together much, with just the seminal Batman/Huntress: Cry For Blood and a few episodes of Justice League Unlimited featuring them interacting with each other. I've always wanted to interact with a Huntress player in one of these games but that's never gone anywhere due to no one ever playing her, so I figured what the hell, I'll do it my damn self.
The two will be based primarily out of Gotham and Bludhaven, maybe venturing to any neighboring cities on occasion. I plan on writing a solo introductory arc where the two meet for the first time and then from there hopping into crossovers and writing more solo stories. I plan on revisiting the same basic plot of Cry For Blood at some point and putting Helena and Vic's relationship to the test there. There will be action, there will be romance (we're doing a slow burn boys), and there will be blood.

With this transformation, Robbie's body is enhanced to superhuman levels. Most notably is his regeneration as a Rider can heal from nearly anything in a matter of moments, thus requiring something holy to harm them or hitting hard enough to bypass the healing and incapacitate the user. Riders can generate chains from any part of their body, Robbie normally choosing his arms, infinitely and can extend those chains as far as they want. Lastly the Ghost Rider is self-sustaining, needing no air, food, or rest. ◼ HELLFIRE Riders can harness, generate, and control the ethereal flames of Hellfire. They can go so far as causing the weather to rain Hellfire and channel it through their weapons, specifically the chains. ◼ VEHICLE POSSESSION Riders can possess any vehicle, turning it into a fiery vehicle, giving the rider its name. Robbie most notably uses his 1969 Charger becoming known as the Hell-Charger. The Hell-Charger has many abilities including channeling hellfire, create hellfire portals for teleportation, become intangible, communicate with the deceased, repair itself and Robbie, and ride upon any surface as well as it rides upon concrete. ◼ PENANCE STARE The Rider's ability to bring penance upon others is their most legendary power. This affects the target on a mental, physical, and spiritual level, completely incapacitating those affected. All the pain and suffering they've caused will be reflected back and the rider can focus the on certain sins committed. This ability is commonly used as a stare where the rider must be able to see the eyes of those they target with the stare. -

Many know the name of the Elongated Man aka Ralph Dibney, a hero that fought to stop many a criminals, and saving many lives within and outside of Opal City. A popular hero during his time, Ralph worked with many heroes during his time until his death at the hands of Eli Morrow. It was noted as the death of a true hero, but no one knew the truth; Ralph Dibney was angry and looking for revenge after the violent death of Sue Dibney at Eli's hands. Ralph's death would lead his spirit into the hands of Neron the Fallen Angel/Demon Lord and he noticed the strength of Ralph's soul. They would make a deal, Neron with ulterior motives, that Ralph would find Eli Morrow, and Neron would release Sue Dibney from her eternal torment if Eli's evil soul was brought to him. The Fallen Angel would send his soul exactly where it was needed most, to a boy named Robbie Reyes.
On the edge of dying after being shot, Robbie would be possessed by the soul of Ralph Dibney. The boy's face would melt till it was but a flaming skeleton, becoming one of the most dangerous beings on the planet, the Ghost Rider. Vengeance would be swift upon the thugs that attempted to take Robbie's life, and he would freak out after the event, Ralph speaking to him to explain their predicament. At first, Robbie was hesitant to accept this "partnership" as with his parents gone, he was the only one to take of his little brother Gabe but, the moment Ralph mentioned Eli Morrow then Robbie agreed to help as Morrow was his uncle and a suspect in the disappearance of Juliana and Alberto Reyes.
Three months have passed since Robbie took on the responsibility of a Ghost Rider. Ralph and Robbie have felt the calling to punish the wicked, only taking their ire out on those truly worth it, becoming a symbol of heroism and horror to the masses. Amateur race car driver by day, Ghost Rider by night, Robbie will find Eli Morrow and the answers he seeks.

I want to apply as Ghost Rider because I like Robbie Reyes. I think Robbie is honestly the best Ghost Rider and he's less edgy than the first rider, Johnny Blaze. Marvel doesn't Robbie his own runs much, usually having his stories intertwine with an Avenger story or another hero. While I do want to be open to meet ups, I do intend on Robbie being able to have his own story. Johnny Blaze, and the other riders will appear in his story and many other Ghost Rider concepts. Robbie has a unique standpoint as being a boy with a good heart but, also being the rider who does kill those that it punishes. It puts in question what it means to be a hero and how Robbie deals with that.
I took inspiration from Agents of SHIELD in keeping Eli Morrow separate from Robbie, and he'll play a big role in the story. I'll have various villains, and people in mind for Robbie to interact with. I hope have him have adventures with the paranormal characters like Deadman, Darcula, Lilith, and so many more. Explore how hell and heaven works now with the universes merged like how Mephisto wouldn't be the only "King" of hell. All in All, I just want to have fun writing for my favorite Ghost Rider and have him drive up building.
Yes. I did use Ralph Dibney as the spirit that possesses Robbie. It was Eli Morrow in the comics but DC has honestly gave not a care in the world for Ralph but he is one of the few characters to stayed dead...pre 52. Then he was tortured in New 52. I figured id keep him dead but use him. Delve into the revenge he never got over Sue. I don't plan for it to be all doom and gloom and sadness. In my mind, this is a story that will end happier for Ralph and Sue than it starts.

A B I L I T I E S ▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔ ◼ MUTANT PHYSIOLOGY Being a mutant, Scott was gifted with the X-gene upon his birth and like his younger brothers, his body is naturally stronger than your average human. Scott, and his brothers, are a receptacle for energy from another dimension, known as the Punch Dimension, their bodies constantly drawing in that energy and empowering them. Drawing in this energy is done subconsciously, and Scott's body is pushed to the peak of human limitations in almost every aspect. ◼ OPTIC BLAST All three Summers' brothers have the ability to absorb and project the inter-dimensional energy of the Punch Dimension, this energy does not abide by the laws put forth by Einstein and Newton, and is practically infinite. Each brother has a unique mutation involving the Punch Dimension, Alex is able to absorb and convert the energy into plasma, and Gabriel is able to absorb and project any energy, while Scott's eyes have become apertures to release the concussive energy as beams. This is a weakness due to a traumatic brain injury when he was a child, giving Scott the inability to control his powers from any other part of his body like his brothers. His optic blasts are ruby in color, and produce no heat. Over the years, he has learned to gain control over his optic blasts in many ways such as controlling the trajectory in midair, causing the beams to drill through targets, and even allowing it to cut through materials. Lastly Scott is protected from the energy that he emits due to have a psionic shield around his body, making it so that just closing his eyes is enough to halt the release of energy. ◼ SPATIAL AWARENESS Scott has an uncanny sense of trigonometry, able to perceive objects in his surrounding, and the angles between them. With a glance, he can mathematically breakdown the geometry equations in seconds, this including the geometry of objects. This uncanny sense helps Cyclops demonstrate the ability to ricochet and/or reflect his optic blasts. He once ricocheted his optic blast ten times to hit several targets. -
T O O L (S) ▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔ ◼ RUBY QUARTZ GLASSES/VISOR Ever since he was a kid, Scott has had to wear glasses made out of ruby quartz. The ruby is attuned to the energies of the Punch Dimension, halting any release of energy from his eyes. This extends to the hard polymer visor that, with the press of a button, controls the width of his beams for wide shots, or shrink his beams for precision blasts. As a back up, Scott has ruby contacts but, they notably irritate his eyes and make him incapable of using his powers. ◼ X-Men Suit Scott keeps his suit he wore as an X-Men, creating superficially by Charles Xavier as the first X-Suit. The suit is a kevlar weave, and protects him from a multitude of things, including impacts, fire, and electrical shocks. ◼ D.A.N.G.E.R Phone The D.A.N.G.E.R. is basically a mini-computer in Scott's hands, controlled by the AI known as D.A.N.G.E.R that Hank Mccoy created for the School of the Gifted. It serves mini functions and still has the X-Men brand recognition despite Scott changing the name. Thanks to the AI, the phone holds many functions beyond just being a cellular device. -

For the longest time, Scott could barely remember his life before meeting Charles Xavier, the man who would become his father. There was always fleeting moments, the most prominent memory of him escaping a lab with a blonde haired woman, and the image of a red diamond. Darkness would swirl in his mind, before his first real memory would come about, waking up in a bed of the home of Charles Xavier. Despite the head trauma he would undergo, the man made it his priority to help take care of Scott, and Scott would come to appreciate him.
It would take a few days before Scott's mutant powers would return, nearly destroying the forest outside of Charles' manor, and scaring him beyond belief. A ten year old boy cowering in the dark, before Charles would find him, returning to him the glasses that he had with him when he was found. A relic of a life he did not know, Scott could question just where his family was and what happened. For now, he would learn under Xavier, creating a bond of father and son.
As the years went by, Charles and Scott would add more mutants to the manor. First would be a young girl by the name of Jean Grey, a powerful telepath and Scott's first girlfriend. Next would be Hank Mccoy, a brilliant scientist who just so happened to be a beast man with blue fur, but also he would become Scott's brother. Ororo Munroe would find her way to the school, the queen of the weather and one of the smartest women in the room at all times. Then the one known as Piotr Rasputin would enter the school, a man with a skin of steel and a heart of gold. They would create a bond unlike any other, a bond that would see them become the hope of mutants everywhere.
A trip to Manhattan with Charles would see the group looking to celebrate Scott's 17th birthday. It was supposed to be a fun trip, for them all to celebrate their friend and hang out at the arcade/pizza joint, but things would soon devolve into violence. A commotion would escalate as several men began to attack a business, one man spewing flames from his hands. Instead of just sitting there, Scott would rally his friends to intervene, feeling a sense of duty. Despite this being their first act of heroism, they would end up stopping the group, showcasing what Charles Xavier had been teaching them. This act would be the first step in Scott's journey as a leader, and the first in the tale of the X-Men.
Many had not known this but, Scott and Charles had been training to one day achieve the purpose of creating a peaceful world. It was neither's idea to create a team, but the moment seemed to fall into their lap. With Scott as his first X-Men, he was able to help the others train their abilities within the Danger Room, a training area tailored to help mutants learn control. They were a tight knit team and covered each other's backs.
The X-Men would go on to become a recognized team by the world at large, their heroics garnering them fame and popularity for the Charles Xavier's School for the Gifted. This fame would have its ups and downs. Many young mutants would find hope through the team, joining the school, while other times their pasts would come back to haunt them. Scott would learn this first hand when he would end up finally meeting his brothers, Alexander and Gabriel. His brothers would attack him, nearly killing him, a situation that pushed Scott to the brink mentally. Eventually Alex would come around, helping his older brother against the youngest, who proved he was force to be reckoned with. They couldn't reason with him, and the conflict that spawned a week of Scott chasing them alone would with Gabriel being blasted into the sea, one word escaping his lips. Sinister.
Scott was never able to figure out what Gabriel meant and Alex couldn't remember anything before his mind was restored. For now, Scott was happy to have his little brother back in his life, his mind restoring just a bit of itself at the sight of Alex. Alex would enroll in the school, taking the name of Havok, a codename like the other X-Men. The team of five would become a team of six, their mission only becoming infinitely more dangerous as the Brotherhood would come out of hiding. The reveal of the Brotherhood would instill a curiosity within Scott that would possess him to find stumble upon the hidden manuscripts of Magneto, the mutant extremists or so they say. Charles and Scott would come to have a talk about Magneto, his stance, and the history of their friendship. Scott respected what Magneto stood for, but he couldn't accept his methods as he had saw first hand what the Brotherhood had become.
Truly one of the most significant moments of Scott's life would be the disappearance of Charles Xavier. He never knew why and how it happened. The most Scott was privy to was a punch from the one known as Juggernaut that knocked him out cold, leaving the man in a coma for a month. Nursed back to health by his friends, he would come to learn that Charles had vanished. No one knew how, or at-least they weren't telling. This nearly broke Scott as he had lost the man he had known as his father, and for the team, it tore them apart as well. The guilt ran heavy through them, especially Scott, causing him to eventually step down as leader. First Gabriel and now Charles, he felt as if he had failed them both. This rift would also see the end of Jean and Scott's relationship, and Scott would leave the school.
A year has passed since Scott left, leaving Ororo Munroe in charge of the school. Despite his guilt, Scott has taken on a teaching role within the school, making sure every mutant knows the answer to two plus two. Using the fortune that Charles left behind, Scott was able to start up the Summers Foundation alongside his brother Havok, an organization built to help young mutants, and humans, find their place in their world, similar to something like the NAACP, even paying for mutants to go to college if they need it. Scott has been a force for good, adding to his popularity with the masses, but even he can see just how the world seems to regress day by day on the mutant, and his heart bares a single question. Maybe its time for the first X-men to return?
P L O T ( S ) & G O A L ( S ) P L O T ( S ) & G O A L ( S )
I'm going to say something controversial. Scott Summers is the greatest and most important X-Man in Marvel history. Up until AvX and X-Men vs Inhumans, Cyclops was always considered a joke despite being one of the best parts of several X-Men's best stories, notably Age of Apocalypse, AvX, and Schism. In the last decade, Scott has garnered his flowers and finally getting his own solo comic. Why does this matter? Because no one ever roleplays Scott. Never explores who he is. I want to be that person to give Scott that rp representation that he deserves.
Also I wanted to do something different. Writing for Ghost Rider is writing for a violent character that mostly acts alone. So with the interest that mutants are getting, I felt Cyclops would be a nice 180, giving me a character that interacts with the world and quite popular. I can write for Cyclops and I know I'll do a DAMN good job at it.
My Cyclops is a star in this world. A mutant that many can look up to. Not just the X-men leader or revolutionary, but a man who has earned his fame and admirers, giving back to a world that would rather he not exist. I will be collaborating with any and all other mutants, to create the level of stories befitting the X-Men. Taking away Jean as his love interest, I think makes for a compelling Scott who's main focus is his own life and not pining for Jean's love. I hope you enjoy what I bring to the table.

Born to the fantastical Haly's Circus, Dick's life has always been one of thrill and wonder. He was doted on by everyone in the Circus and it truly felt like he was being raised by a village. From as long as he could remember he always wanted to be part of the show and fly on the trapeze like his parents, John and Mary of the Flying Graysons. But until he was old enough to take his position in the skies he started his Circus career as one of the clowns. He learned a lot about showmanship and keeping the attention of the audience with them. As he got older he started being taught by the other performers and game attendants. He took a liking to knife throwing the most. The circus family always commented that with his passion and natural affinity for the circus that he'd end up running Haly's one day. He wanted that more than anything and even Haly himself seemed to want it for him.
When Dick was eleven he finally joined his parents on the Trapeze. The world couldn't believe a child so young was so talented. John and Mary were amazing, but only Dick could perform four flips in a row. This put Haly's Circus on the map, catching a lot of fame and attention, but not all attention was good attention. A year later the Joker was drawn to Haly's and tore through the circus in what became known as the Haly Circus Massacre. In one gruesome night his world shattered and his dreams were destroyed. He barely had time to process what happened before he was adopted by Thomas Wayne. The press caught wind of this and claimed that he was only adopting the young Grayson to make up for his wife's crimes. Richard had shut himself in his new room and was unaware of the media circus going on or the revelation of the Joker was. He just knew he wanted to make her pay for what she had done.
One night Richard fell asleep in the library reading books. He awoke to see Alfred walking out of a hole in the wall where the Grandfather Clock used to be. When Alfred left the room he opened the secret passageway and found himself in the Batcave. It was then that he realized that his new adoptive father was the Batman. He convinced Thomas to take him on as his protege and partner by saying that the Batman needed someone to balance him. He struggled to find a name for himself until he recalled what his mother called him when he joined the Flying Graysons. He was her little bird. Her little Robin. To honor his parents he took on the mantle of Robin to make sure kids wouldn't lose their parents and family the same way that he did. For the past year he's been pushing himself through training and patrolling the streets of Gotham so he could honor his resolve and not be a burden to Thomas. During the day he attends Gotham Academy and has started to finally open up again due to the influence of the kids at the school.

Thomas Wayne is one of my favorite iterations of Batman so when I saw Micki get approved for him I immediately wanted to apply for a Robin sheet, but wasn't sure if I could. Now that the offer is on the table I had to go for it. Dick Grayson has always been my favorite Robin and I wanted to explore his life through this story and see how differently things could go with him raised by Thomas instead of Bruce. I want to have Robin form the Teen Titans in this story as well and hope that this sheet will inspire others to make characters for the team and would be interested to see even Marvel characters join to see how that dynamic plays out.
Outside of that the ideas I have for this version of Dick is to explore his life at Gotham Academy and flex his detective skills with the Detective Club and for them to get into hijinks and explore their growth and feelings as teenagers when facing things that they shouldn't have to. I want to give his story that Nancy Drew, Hardy Boys, and Scooby-Doo vibe where there will be both fake and real monsters and ghosts while exploring that dark side of Gotham.

She can do much of what her father can do with telepathy and telekinesis, from flying to healing to light illusions and the like. However, she can push them farther and for longer. She also cannot psychically control or manipulate fire. Mostly since Martian psychic powers have a strange side effect where fire tends to worsen and go out of control if any of their psychic energy is used on it though she was also given some extra conditioning to fear it.

M'gann is among those so skilled. It is an incredibly draining power but she can keep it up for 15 minutes at a time.

M'gann J'onzz grew up the beloved older daughter of J'onn and M'yri'ah with a fairly typical sibling bond with her younger brother J'onat'onn. In school, she had her group of friends, got top marks, and was overall well-regarded by her peers and her teachers, but also had her rivals and her bullies. It was life though and she was looking forward to when she'd be in high school then off to higher education when she scored well on the exams. The house fire changed all that.
Her memories of that time are the haziest. One moment, she was setting up to perform a private play with her friends. The next, the house was ablaze and strangers in protective suits were charging in before she could even scream. The next moment, she was in a dark room, deep underground, where she wasn't able to sense what went outside that room. She was told that her family was dead, from her father to her little brother. White Martians had been behind the fire, a mindless act of violence meant to be the spark to cause the fall of the Martian United Government so that the world would plunge into anarchic chaos. But she had the power to help, if she'd allow them to train her. And in her grief and anguish, she agreed.
The training was grueling and she often chaffed under the isolation, but she persevered on, tackling the matter with as much determination as a geometry problem. And when things got too tough, her uncle Malefic would come down and give her a consoling ear to rant to and a shoulder to cry on. It surprised her to find that he was such a major scientist and managed to be allowed to see her, but she was glad of it. It gave her at least one familiar face during that dark time.
She expected that she'd have to stay training until she became an adult. But instead, much to her surprise, it was soon after her fifteenth birthday when she was called upon to take up her uniform and to become the Martian Maiden. She's taken to the role eagerly, seeking to get revenge for her family and to protect her nation. Not knowing that soon, cracks will form in the world as she knows it.

Well, I had already laid the groundwork for Miss Martian to be Martian Manhunter's daughter. In one sense then, this just completes that premise and also explores the Martian United Government's evil from a point of view that hasn't come to understand why it's wrong yet. It'll make sense then when she's more 'end justifies the means' in her actions and all the ways she's similar to but also contrasts Martian Manhunter. Yet I do also want her to be her own person who will have her own story and her own adventures.
For right now, she's on Mars as the Martian United Government's mascot and superhero. If/when she comes to Eartha and ends up reunited with her father, their relationship will at first be estranged and J'onn will be trying to connect with, support, and also correct the daughter that he thought was dead and ended up living a life he never wanted her to live. M'gann meanwhile will be dealing with all the revelations she'll be having while also being a teen girl trying to figure out who she wants to be, seeking her own path between her father's wishes and the world she's known. I also want her to take part in the Teen Titans if that comes off the ground.

Peter B Parker had a sad childhood. His parents died when he was young, however unlike many stories, thankfully, he was taken in by his very loving Uncle Ben, and Aunt May. His early teenage years were normal, but brilliant. He excelled in his academic studies, met his first love MJ-Watson and his best friends, Harry Osborn (son of the notable Norman Osborn of OsCorp), and Ned Leeds. His late teens were filled with tragedy and heartbreak. His Uncle Ben was hospitalised with a very rare degenerative disease, ravishing his body and his mind. One of his last lucid moments has burned its way into Peters memory forever, he told Peter to help the world with his gifts, his talents and his skills. He told him how with great power, comes great responsibility.
MJ Watson moved away, and the two tried to make the distance work; however, it defeated their romance. Leaving them as estranged friends and ex-lovers. His internship at OsCorp would lead to great things. Working under Doctor Curt Connors he excelled. He had work that he loved, the science, the discovery, the thrill of the chase. He met Gwen Stacy, a fellow assistant. The two hit it off and fell for one another quickly. They didn't make anything official until years later, and at this point the worst news. Harrys mother fell gravely ill, in a manner very similar to that of Peters Uncle Ben.
Connors and Peter shifted the focus of their research, they worked night and day, Norman Osborn adjusted funding and funnelled it into their department despite the misgivings of the board. Despite their best efforts, Emily Osborn died horribly. Harry turned in on himself, Norman shut himself away but life continued to move forward as best as they could.
His adult life turned from one high to another. He got married, expecting his first child with Gwen. Harry came back out into the world, and the two of them founded the Ben-Emily Foundation. A scientific organisation with the intention of doing science, not for a profit, but for the betterment of the city and for the people who lived in it. Life was good. Until, after nearly thirty long years the Parker Luck finally reared its ugly head again.
Kidnapped, held hostage. The next seven months were a blur of experimentation, torture, abuse, and questioning. Peter didn't know one day from the next. One day he managed to escape, in a black suit he broke free, his mind clearing. Clarity returned to him as he was running through the rain, far faster than he had any right to be going. The farther he got, the closer he got to the city. The more powers he unlocked, the more he figured out. He was excited to get home, to return to Gwen. To his young daughter. Barging through the front-door of his apartment, to come face to face, with himself.
Two Peters, the second remembers being knocked out on his walk home where the first was kidnapped. Neither knows who's who, and what's going on and as such Peter B has decided to agree to lie low, in his Aunt Mays house while she's on an extended vacation travelling through Europe. The thing is, Peter B couldn't sit idle, he modified the outfit he escaped the lab with. He might not have been able to return to the foundation to do good for the city, but something compelled him to use his powers. Some part of him craved it, and so the city was changed for the debut of

When @Master Bruce decided to do away with his interpration of the Spider-Bat I got to thinking about it. I'm not entirely sure where the idea came from, I was driving at work and thinking about Spider-Man and his various stories, and this came to me. I have a plot I want to tell, I want to interact with people hanging out in NYC. I also wanted to bring up the average age a bit. Is that enough? Well, if you want more you better ask me nicely.

Doreen Allene Green has always been a bit of an oddball.
Born with a squirrel tail, she found it difficult to fit in with others. Even in a world of superheroes, kids are and can still be total dicks. A family doctor declared that she wasn't a "mutant", but even he couldn't explain the squirrelly features that Doreen had.
Well, thanks, doc. It's always helpful to tell a kid that you don't know what makes you "you". You, your bushy tail, superhuman attributes and... the ability to communicate with squirrels?!
Yup, you've heard that right. After Doreen saved the life of a neighborhood squirrel from a vicious dog, things got a little weird, and a little heroic, too. Grateful for her help, the squirrel, known as Monkey Joe, encouraged the youth to use her abilities to help others like she had done for him. The words stuck in Doreen's head.
Heroism—being a hero.
Golly gee, it sounded fun.
And so, with Monkey Joe now at her side, Doreen set out for a heroic life of "kickassery". She found herself idolizing the heroes that she read about online in articles. Captain America, among other heroes. The greats that constantly changed the world (for better or worse). Doreen wanted to be with them. To be by their side, kicking evil villain butt right along with them.
Problem is, when you're stuck in nowhereville, there isn't much butt kicking to go around—just some small town fry. But, hey, every great hero had to start somewhere, and if keeping the local store from being robbed is her start, then so be it!

Put simply, I'm a sucker for Squirrel Girl. I'm totally not a one-trick SG lord in Rivals, no siree. You've got the wrong roleplayer, I tell ya.
Anyway, Squirrel Girl has largely been a joke character. She exists to be "unbeatable", defeating the likes of Doctor Doom, Juggernaut, Thanos, and even Galactus. What I want to do is pull away from that aspect and focus upon a more realistic version of Squirrel Girl (at least, "comic realistic"). The jokes will still be there; it'll just be less zany cheese and throwaway gags. She may think she is unbeatable, but I don't want this to full of "press 1 and instantly win the game/battle" story beats.
So, to combat this, I'm going to start all the way at the beginning. Marvel Super-Heroes (Vol. 2) #8-like, wherein Squirrel Girl is a dumb kid and her squirrels trying to be jumpstart heroes. Essentially, what I intend on is a zero-to-hero type storyline, wherein Squirrel Girl works her way up to the ranks of the heroes she has grown to idolize.
As for other story beats or plot points that might come into play, I'm thinking:
- Is Squirrel Girl a mutant? This is left ambiguous; the writers say she is "distinct from a mutant" and that her genes had been modified by unknown means, but regardless people still debate if she is a mutant or a mutate. I think it'd be a fun thing to explore perhaps with a mutant/X-Men player(s).
- Will Squirrel Girl join any organization? Squirrel Girl has been in quite of a lot of teams or initiatives. The Great Lakes, US Avengers, etc. Perhaps an apprenticeship is down the line since she spends her time idolizing superheroes.
- Is Monkey Joe marked for death? Perhaps. Tippy Toe and the others are bound to show up, but whether or not our favorite squirrel pal will be crushed to death is up in the air. It could work for a great cliffhanger issue.
These are just some of the ideas I've had bouncing around in my head. I'm open to others, though I've never been big on DC so forgive me if your ideas are DC-inspired and I look at you clueless.

Born to a rabbi in Hub City, Illinois, Marc Spector was raised to be a good man, one who sought to solve conflicts with words and not violence, one who studied the Torah and believed wholeheartedly in his God. He doesn't know where it all went wrong, but maybe it started with the visions of two boys named Steven and Jake, two identities that would become part of his own. At the age of 12 he was interred at the Putnam Psychiatric Hospital in rural Illinois, where he would stay until he was 19. His father passed away then and Marc was allowed to leave the hospital to attend the funeral. At the memorial service in his childhood home, he took the chance to sneak off into the night.
Enlisting in the Marine Corps, Marc served for three years in Syria where he saw combat in war torn urban environments and out in the desert. However, he was prone to episodes where he would wander off in the middle of the night, eventually being found wandering in a minefield without any clothes on. His commanding officers did some digging into his past and discovered his time at Putnam. As soon as this was discovered, Spector was dishonorably discharged and was going to be put on a plane back to Illinois where he'd be put back in Putnam. Marc did the obvious thing and went AWOL.
Acting as a gun for hire mostly and occasionally partaking in underground fight rings, Marc drifted around throughout Syria and the surrounding countries for a year before he was found by Jean-Paul "Frenchie" DuChamp, a fellow mercenary who became his partner. The two traveled all over Africa and the Middle East, partaking in many paramilitary operations.
Three months ago, they met a man named Raoul Bushman, the leader of a mercenary group operating in Africa. Marc and Frenchie joined up with him for a job investigating an archaeological dig site on the border of Sudan and Egypt. There, they found that an ancient Egyptian tomb had been uncovered with riches unlike anyone had ever seen. The head archaeologist, Peter Alraune, pleaded with the mercenaries not to disturb the site. In response, Bushman gunned him down. He was going to do the same to the rest of the dig crew when Marc sucker punched him. In the chaos, Alraune's daughter Marlene and a few of the dig crew managed to escape. Bushman shot Marc in the chest before going on to execute the members of the crew that hadn't been able to escape.
As night fell, the mercenaries left the dead and the dying behind. Marc crawled his way into the ruins, where he found himself beneath a statue of Khonshu, the Egyptian god of the moon.
Marc died in the tomb beneath the statue.
Rɪꜱᴇ, ᴍʏ Fɪꜱᴛ.
And then he lived again.
Donning a white robe, Marc set off after Bushman and his men. He assaulted the town they were terrorizing and made short work of Bushman's mercenaries. After rendezvousing with DuChamp and Marlene, Marc found that Bushman was long gone with no trail left behind to follow. He offered to escort Marlene back to the States, the young woman accepting but deciding that it was the farthest she would go with Spector, as she blamed him partially for her father's death and as such wanted nothing to do with him.
The trio returned to America, Marlene taking her leave and walking out of Marc and Frenchie's lives for good. The two men found themselves in Marc's hometown of Hub City, barely recovering from a devastating societal collapse the year prior. Marc, plagued by visions of Khonshu, was driven to vigilantism by his patron's desire to watch over the travelers of the night. Donning the guise of Moon Knight, Marc stalks the streets of Hub City with DuChamp as his faithful pilot and companion, while Marc's alters Steven and Jake build a fortune and gather intel on the streets respectively.

The thing that got me hooked on Moon Knight wasn't a comic book or even the Disney Plus show, it was actually a run in one of these various DC/Marvel crossover games by our beloved Hound55. His Moon Knight run in Master Bruce's Ultimate One Universe intrigued me and led me to checking out more of the character in the comics and I fell in love. If the Question is my favorite DC hero, Moon Knight is easily my favorite Marvel hero. I've only ever written him very briefly in a previous game, so I'll have to find my footing there, but I hope to do a good job with it.
I don't have much in the way of an overarching plot beyond Marc's eventual rematch with Bushman, intending to do a fairly episodic and serialized run where Moon Knight will tackle everything from bank robbers and mobsters to vampires and werewolves. I'm setting him in Hub City so that I can be relatively self-contained, but I do hope to see Marc occasionally travel to other cities or have other heroes come to the Hub for the sake of crossovers. In regards to Hub City's usual vigilante, one can assume he's off traveling the country as per my previous concept, and the events of Denny O'Neil's run of the Question occurred in some form which led to the city collapsing in on itself and only just recently regaining a semblance of law and order.
Also, I'm taking Marlene out of the picture because honestly, I just don't really find her that interesting. Sue me.

I done a hundred different jobs over the years. Tending the farm with Pap, early mornings and long days, muscles aching from dragging farm equipment bigger n’ I was. Was a paperboy a little while. Became a fry cook in my teens and hated it more n’ anything. Was always more of a cow rearer than a burger flipper. Odd jobs after that, running round town like a headless chicken. I repaired shoes, was a tailor, forged a couple no-good sets of nails, sold power tools at some big box store, performed as a trickshooter, plus many more and many much less glamorous. Then, of course, there was the band.
If you’ve heard of me from anywhere, it’s there. Greg Saunders of the Prairie Troubadours, the best little rock band in Texas. Played in packed bars and talent shows and high school football games, anywhere that’d take us, and we loved it. I was the dark horse of that band. Lead gee-tar, backup vocalist, wearing a cowboy hat darker n’ the night sky. We were gettin’ bigger by the day, livin’ in high cotton. Had fans following us in the rain, screaming our names. It was plain to us that a record deal’d be coming down soon. I took a little vacation. Just a week or two away from the boys to get back to my Pap’s old farm and jaw with him about how things were going for his kid. We were worried about selling out, see, wanted to keep the music pure. I thought my Pap would know more about that than anyone. He sure did, but… That conversation seems so far away now, so fanciful. We were talking about our harvest when the field lay fallow and dead before us.
I came back to a bloodbath. I don’t remember what the cops told me. They dressed it all up in fancy language and condolences that fell on my ears like static from an unplugged amp. I begged and they let me see the pictures. Saw the whole band. Billy Gunn, Danny Leong, Bat Lash, Raph Sandoval… They were bled to death, slaughtered like farm animals. The news crushed me beneath it like a bale of agony. The officers couldn’t make heads nor tails of it. They couldn’t decide if it was some serial killer or a one off incident, some spurned fan or a random attack. Not too long before they quit looking. Don’t know if they got paid off, or if they found something too terrible, too dangerous for them to continue. Don’t matter much now. What does is that I took it into my hands.
I took up the name Vigilante. In white hat and red bandana I ran down ne’er-do-wells of every stripe, grasping for leads about anyone who coulda done this. Wasn’t no investigator. Just a kid with a pair of handguns, a lariat, and a righteous fury. Roughed up city slickers and country crooks, gangsters and mafiosos. Inching closer to the truth. Got good at it, running down leads, helping folk wherever I went. I rationalized what happened for myself as I worked. Surely it was a brutal hit or a depraved killer that took my friends from me. It took time to peel back the veil and peer at the hideous truth before me.
Dead things walk among us. Zombies, ghouls, vampires. You can deny it if you like, but I ain’t got much time for doubters. I know what I’ve seen, men falling apart as they’re walking, creatures that fly on great leathery wings. I been on this trail five years now, searching for answers for that night. Finding the suckhead sons-of-bitches that done it. It's brought me to darker places than I could dream of… Places where things aren’t just bumping in the night. Places like that are where I met him.
Near as I can tell, he’s done just one job over these years, and that’s killing vampires. He tells me that he’s had a lot of names over the years, but that Blade is the simplest. If he’s got a real name, he ain’t sharing it. He don’t share much, in fact, don’t talk too much at all. Least not to me. He’s a tall black feller who can be known by his habits of wearing heavy leather and shades absolutely everywhere he goes. Not to mention the sword hanging off his back. He’s the first professional vampire hunter I’ve ever met. He might be the best there ever was.
But he avoids me like I’m slicker than pig snot on a radiator. Some country bumpkin, ruining his hunt. But I need him. Spent five years spinning my wheels with not much to show for it besides a pile of random mobsters and toughs in chains or dead. Comes a man like him, what actually knows what he’s doing? I can’t let him pass me by.

As per the title Dead South, Vigilante and Blade will mostly be operating around the southern US and into Mexico. That said, I chose this pairing to be open to collaboration. They’re on the move, and are more than likely to visit New York or Hub or wherever their quest brings them.
I’ll be real, there’s not much of a plan here. I’m more a planner than a panster, but at this point I’ve fallen off the writing horse a bit, and like Roman, I’m trying to force myself back into it, but I’m taking something of a different approach to him. Where he has lovingly crafted his masterplan, I’m throwing the concept of a plan out the window. When I wrote Vig back in UOU, I piloted him more or less on vibes and vague ideas, and at least in terms of word count, it was possibly my most successful outing. I don’t have time like I did back then… But maybe if I can replicate the methods, I can replicate the success.
Vigilante and Blade will go on a vampire hunting romp and encounter some major characters from Marvel vampire lore, pending negotiations with the magnanimous Half Pint, and characters from DC’s Western comics. I’ve always thought Vigilante played best when dealing with problems beyond the scope of an ordinary cowboy hero, and vampires fit that bill. As for Blade, at one point I was writing him as the primary POV of a different version of this tale, but found I wanted someone newer to the supernatural, so I thought I’d pull out an old favorite. Will there still be a Blade POV? Hey, maybe!
“You ate my leftover Ben and Jerry’s!” “There was no Ben and Jerry’s. You took a hallucinogenic and ate out of the fake plant in the hallway.” “Yeah, and then I put it in the freezer. If you didn’t eat it, where is it?!”

Every dynasty starts somewhere. A generation ago, the Wilson family was known by its partiarch, Nathaniel Wilson, a wifebeating drunk who was a bit cleverer than most. From their home of abuse, two siblings separated by cover a decade would take two radically different paths in life. Slade would join the military before getting chosen for a super soldier program. With a veritable fortune made from mercenary work and bounty hunting, he would found a family and enter an early retirement. Wade, watching their mother die slowly from a particularly nasty beating, would stumble on the path of the brother he had equal part idealization and disdain for, falling into a world of crime where he too would undergo a type of super soldier serum injection, with radically different results. A few more years would strip him of the only love he’d ever found, and no amount of blood or drugs seemed to make up for it.
Slade, by all accounts, should have left Wade to the wayside. Wade would have been the first to agree. But upon their first family meeting in over twenty years, Slade revealed bigger plans. Wade had nothing, and Slade everything. But they lived in a world that seemed like it would crumble at any moment. If not from supervillains and their schemes of apocalypse, then it would be those politicians and CEOs who let all those within it grind themselves to dust and blood for the right to live while they drink the blood pulled from the stone by another's hand. Regardless of how the once enstranged brothers feel about each other, family is family, and blood is blood. Slade has everything to lose and everything to give, while Wade has nothing to lose and a life he can't even if he tried.

Famously, Deadpool was created as a character derivative of Deathstroke before finding his own identity and popularity, allowing him evolve from and arguably eclipse the original. The idea of making them a mercenary/assassin brother duo started as a joke, but alongside the inherent silliness came ideas of telling a genuine story with as much seriousness as can be allowed from a pair that includes Deadpool. As a big fan of duality, that contrast is something I leaned into, and expect to pull more out of. Deadpool is often ridiculous, but his demeanor is also a blatant defense mechanism for the pain and struggle that he often has to go through. Conversely, Deathstroke is serious to the point of being silly in his own right, which I plan to note in his dynamic with Deadpool. I’m very much looking forward to exploring the two. Slade has to ground himself after living an ideal and bombastic life most only dream about, where Wade starts to climb himself up from the very bottom after folling as low as one can go, all the while the two reconciling their own history and struggle to try and make a sad, violent world better when the only language they can communicate with it is more violence. Also they’re going to fight Walmart ninjas.
Aside from finding means to interact with other players when the opportunity presents itself, their own story might touch on some of my frustrations with the world of today, taking some older ideas I had involving a world of corporate espionage fought between superpowered ninja mercenaries in the shadows of the world at large. I know who writers who use subtext and they’re all cowards.

Static has been a favorite character of mine for a long time, ever since the DC Animated series came out. Here I'm combining influence from both the show and the comics to create a beautiful story with the character by exploring his journey from zero to hero and how this big event drastically changed his world and the lives of the people he cares about.
I decided to keep him young to explore his growth as a hero and a person while also giving him time to establish himself as his own hero before he becomes part of an ensemble like the Teen Titans and later the Big Leagues.

Born and raised in Coast City alongside his 2 brothers, Jimmy and Jack, Harold Jordan was born into a household at the very center of the Melting Pot of American Culture. His Catholic Air Force Test Pilot father and his Jewish mother lived in a predominantly Spanish speaking part of the city. He was a little confused at having to celebrate 2 completely different holidays at the same time while growing up, but eh, who can complain at getting 2 presents every December, even if one of them was always a dreidel.
When he was 13, he was on-base and watched in horror as his father's plane overcooked its experimental engine and exploded. His mother was heartbroken, but Hal was not disuaded. Even though the idea of dying in a fireball terrified him, that terror also sperned him on. He pushed hard and signed up to the Air Force against his mothers wishes and to the chagrin of both of his brothers. He quickly showed his aptitude for flying and was fast-tracked into the most prestigious air Force academy in Colorado, passing out at the top of his class. From there, he went on to perform a number of secret, off-the-books missions for the Air Force, quickly making his way up to Captain.
His Military career was jeopardized, unfortunately when he received word from Jack. His mother had died from Cancer while he was away in Okinawa for some additional training for a top secret mission. This was exacerbated when during the mission, one of his superiors ignored his advise on a mission call, getting 3 pilots killed. When Hal got back to base, he put said superior in hospital and he spent a month in the brig. He couldn't be brought up on formal charges due to the need for secrecy surrounding the mission, but he was given 2 options. 1) Resign with full honours and military pension. 2) Be put on desk duty for the rest of his contract. Never to be a quitter, he chose 2, hoping he could find a way out of this career ending position.
As luck would have it, Ferris Aircraft Inc. came to the Air Force with a brand new, experimental fighter that they wanted to test. Not wanting to risk some of their rising stars, Hal was allowed to fly again, even if it was only as a guinea-pig. After a LOT of flirting with Carol Ferris (The CEO of FAI) he stepped into the experimental aircraft and took to the skies. Little did he know that above him, alien beings with machinations of galactic conquest were hurtling towards Earth with powers immeasurably vaster than any might realize...

I've always loved the Lantern mythos. Hal is a great character. I mean, he managed to bounce back after the terrible, terrible, terrible Paralax storyline. I also have always been a fan of Tokusatsu style teams of colour-coded heroes and i'll admit that that has probably leaked into here. The basic premise of the plot is that one of each of the Power Rings, Red, Orange, Indigo, Star Sapphire, Grey and Blue have been scattered across the planet and Hal and Sinestro are hunting them down as part of a small S.W.O.R.D. taskforce, not too dissimilar to the Agents of S.W.O.R.D. show. The Rings, being sentient, will be attempting to latch onto anyone who feels their associated emotion the strongest and makes them wig out based on their emotion. All the while, they will also be hunting down true Champions of their emotional spectrum, so the cast will grow as the story progresses. I think that this premise alone can lead to some fun interaction with other players and their characters. As rogue Lantern Rings invading their stories could latch onto someone and make for a fun team-up. Or even if they just want to use it by themselves, if think this will add a nice bit of interaction to the world.
The story will culminate in a "Final Show-Down" with "Evil Villain who wants the Rings for himself" Currently, i'm thinking that role will be filled by Despero. I feel that he is a great balance of Power and Intimidation. Someone with the will to slaughter the entire planet, but lacking the power to do so with just a snap of his fingers like Darkseid or Thanos.
But most importantly, i really like the idea exploring Hal and Sinestro's relationship. They are supposed to have a mentor and student relationship, but we never get to see it for more than brief glimpses. Yes, Sinestro is a villain in this, but i really want to tell a story that makes you like Sinestro, makes you see him in a likeable, positive light... Because then it's so much more heartbreaking when the villain is revealed for what he is, the great betrayer who used everyone and everything around him. But the main point is that the relationship between Hal and Sinestro is the very core of this and if nothing else, i love exploring their dynamic.
S.W.O.R.D.'s inclusion in the sheet is mostly because, well, it makes the most sense for their Dragonball style search for the scattered Rings to be under their jurisdiction.
