Keep in mind, when it comes to one person controling the amaranthine over another, aeron and his kind will always have priority over anyone else, unless that other person's ability overrides their control in a way that doesnt necessarily interupt the original control.
In which lies the fact that Regan is manipulating the amaranthine to mix with his on conceptual energy to in essence make it a completely different energy all together.
