I'm assuming you've listed the Signature and Finisher moves for later use, since Violet doesn't have enough experience to use them yet? And does the power drain only take effect when her hits connect with a magical girl, or does it also connect on hitting magical constructs?

Correct.
Technically, it's a side effect of absorbing the corruption, rather than a direct drain of power, so at first only a source of magic. But if she survives long enough, maybe. Since the wish was specifically "corruption" based, it would take a lot of experience using it to use it more flexibly for constructs. Or potentially a lot of borrowed power?
I noted labyrinths specifically since witches are made from the corruption of soul gems, so I assume their magic works more on that wavelength than that of magical girls.

Okie doki, so...
Full disclosure: I have no idea if this wish will be accepted considering... well, you'll see. I tried to make it as balanced as possible given its nature. I'm also fully aware of how "totally creative" her name is, and I am not proud of the description of her appearance. I had it slightly better written before, forgot to save the edits, turned out this. (Which is basically a description of the character her image is taken from with her Magica form added on)
I'm totally okay with redoing any portion of her, so much so that I have backup rough drafts in case of any problems. Please point any issues out that are there or that you have with anything.
However I'd like to ask if it's possible to give her a higher starting despair and/or minor preexisting afflictions. (Due to her history)

With light brown hair and eyes of a slightly darker shade, Violet stands at 5 foot 4. (1.6 meters) Despite her slightly visible musculature from her above-average fitness, she is somewhat underweight at 105 pounds. (47.6 Kilograms) Typically seen in a skirt and a simple white button-up shirt under a woolen vest, she always wears some kind of shorts under her lower garments in case of exposure or damage. Her Magical Girl attire is in itself not unusual, having a full length shirt and a skirt halfway to her knees in shades of indigo and grey. Matched by long gloves that end at her elbows and stockings that raise to just above the cut of her skirt, her outfit is completed by a teardrop shaped Soul Gem resting upside down, right above the center of her rib-cage. Like her outfit, the gem is indigo in color. Despite this, she has added of her own conscious decision both a simple grey "hoodie" and a pair of shorts under her skirt, just like with her normal clothes.

Nationality:
3/4 Caucasian and 1/4 Japanese. (While not noticeable by her appearance she nonetheless makes it a point to tell this fact.) Born and lived in the U.S.

Personality:
Cynical, self-deprecating. A misanthrope who distrusts her peers, hates her elders, and is protective of her youngers. Hates liars but is not above lying.

Biography:
A precocious girl who spent her late childhood developing and discarding countless philosophies and interests of the world, she had settled on one of irrelevance to the universe and personal worthlessness until she met the incubator. Taking many weeks to think on what she wished for, and asking many questions about what being a magical girl means, she came to the conclusion that she could overcome not entropy, but rather her lack of worth or value to the universe or even simply other people by making a wish. Her early attempts at wishes were deemed impossible, and she eventually settled on one that the incubator was capable of granting.
Despite living with an indifferent mother and doting step father, her views of adults are almost always negative. Combined with a distrust of her peers fostered by a lifetime of abuse both verbal and physical for her personality and flightiness, she is a misanthrope through and through, giving exception only to those younger than their teens. Her younger brother held a special place in her heart, and added to the development of her opinion of herself when she was unable to save his life, taken by an infant playing with open electricity who he was helping watch in place of it's parents. This event, the image of her brother's corpse and the sound of his pained scream haunt her to this day. She is now in Danzig with her stepfather for his job, choosing to travel with him rather than stay with her mother.

Skills:
A "jack of all trades, master of none" due to her inconsistent interests and pursuits, she is most proud of her cooking skill, her talent of singing, and her uncanny ability to judge the world around her mathematically. (Such as distance, the passage of time, vague speed, etc.)

Core ability:
Her wish granted her the ability to use her Soul Gem as a Grief Seed for others, and in the process a small bit of their magical ability is absorbed as well, giving her a small burst of temporary energy or a time-limited boost in her magical output. This also grants her a grace period if she reaches her corruption limit from another Soul Gem, as the small amount of pure magic absorbed prevents her from complete corruption until it dissipates. (60 seconds and upwards, depending on the strength of the Magical Girl she absorbed the corruption of.)
Sub abilities:
Her wish being focused on magic itself has granted her heightened control of and dexterity with raw magic. (See examples: Homura fixing her eyes, Homura controlling the truck, etc.)
As she gains experience and power, she can eventually use her magical weapons to absorb corruption and at even higher levels, magical power from those she attacks with them. Absorbing corruption from a Witch would affect their Labyrinth, and absorbing magical power would weaken a Witch while strengthening her, at the cost of more corruption than usual when it dissipates or is used up.

Signature and Finisher:
Signature: Using tough threads enhanced by magic, she turns her knives into whips of sorts, increasing her fighting dexterity. Her signature involves using these to place knives in strategic positions and trigger an attack with all of them at once, striking a target with all of them at once from many directions. Hard to dodge without skill and speed, especially for larger targets, this is an effective use of her spatial and temporal awareness. (Mathematical grasp of her surroundings, listed under "Skills.")
Finisher: A very large knife, closer to a sword in size, which she uses to drain large amounts of either corruption or magical power from her target, weakening it and strengthening the blade until the difference in power between her and her target is large enough to secure her victory. Usually requires a Grief Seed immediately after due to the large increase in corruption within her Soul Gem from this technique.

A) I have nothing against individual soldiers after they make the decision to join. I have issues with that decision, but it ends there.
B) But why is he out there? I don't mean "what was is motivation to join the military?" I mean "why is our military out there?" Currently, the biggest reason is ISIS. Which we created by arming and training to fight other terrorists, which we created by arming and training other terrorists, which we created by kicking out a dictator who, while should not have been in power and was a terrible person, at least kept the violence to a lower level, which in part we did because of terrorists that we incredibly overreacted to, which were caused by, guess what? Stupid things we'd had a big hand in before they showed up. And alllllll of this is largely started by us being scared of losing our access to oil, spurred on not by a need for protection, but by the people who make money on that oil donating to our politicians for the express purpose of having access to our military for their own personal gain.
