Are either of you still here? And am I going to have to do this every single posting round?

That was sort of my idea. A rouge scientist and her then-newborn son being chased around the world and eventually being led to the "end of the Earth". She wouldn't claim the ship but take time to study its structure so that she could replicate it. After she does (by getting materials through largely illegal means), she flies off into space. She is relieved that she isn't being chased around anymore, but has no idea what to do next. The ship then screws up and crashes on a foreign planet (because she didn't have the authority to get better materials for it), and she dies. Her son survives then gets picked up by the orphanage owners.

If you let me in, though, I doubt I'll make this a plot point in the future. The appeal of DBZ to me is weirdos defending the world together, and I intend to play a more supportive role.

Alright, you can do that, then. Accepted if those are the changes you'll make.

Cain said nothing during the briefing. It was all information he was quite aware of, if not the source of said information altogether. No, his attention slowly moved about the room, from one guest to the next. He was observing their behavior, getting a feel for what kind of person they were based on their interactions with the royalty and with each other. So far the pair who appeared to be warriors maintained the most professional aura about them. Mostly. The younger of the two seemed a little more curious and wide eyed but otherwise his manners remained polite throughout. The three girls who all came from Luna Dial, on the other hand... At least two of them seemed to hate each other, and Cain wondered if they wouldn't sooner want to fight each other more than anyone else. The third, the third looked like she was barely strong enough to stand let alone fight. And yet there she stood, in her roman armor that frankly looked far to big to properly fit her.

I wonder if this was wise idea...

Shadows of the Shinobi, Shibuya

"What did I ever do to you, kupo?" asked the moogle to the five individuals that had it surrounded. They weren't any kind of Heartless, rather they were human beings. But they dressed jet black ninja gear and every one of them had a katana in their hands, poised to attack if they were provoked. It was already night time, though one might not know it from the sheer amount of lights in and on all the buildings throughout Shibuya. But this particular encounter was taking place near enough to one of the few shadowy areas that these apparent ninja had decided to ambush the moogle. Perhaps they'd heard some stories about the trading moogles were known for and thought this one possessed valuable goods they take for themselves.

They inched a bit closer, but a spotlight from one of the dark areas shed the group in bright light. They reflexively looked around for whoever was responsible and spotted someone standing directly in front the source of the light, the brightness making it impossible to see their face. One of the ninja threw a kunai at the figure, who expertly sidestepped to dodge the blade that instead hit the spotlight, rendering the area dark again. And then, as if the stranger had moved instantaneously he was suddenly among the group of the five and gave them no time to react before he spun and blew them away with a Aeroga spell. The figure then leaped with expert agility over to the moogle, picking it up and leaping again to a spot away from the attackers. But it seemed the Aeroga had knocked the attackers into various objects hard enough to knock them out, so it seemed the altercation was over.

"Are you hurt?" asked the figure, after he and moogle and come into the light. Now the stranger could be seen. Ryuzaki wasn't even wearing his battle attire, instead dressed in his black high-collar jacket, his face also visible along with his jet black hair.

"Oh! It's you, kupo! I've been looking for you." this surprised Ryuzaki, who knelt down to accept the letter from the moogle and he stood and read in silence, "I'm supposed to take you to your transportation if you accept the invite, kupo!"

"Hmm... 'many universes'? I'm not sure I understand, but it sounds like you really need me for something." he sighed in contemplation. If this thing about other universes was true, then was it his place to meddle in another world's affairs? His mind thought back to Master Mori for a brief moment, the first lesson of ninjutsu Ryuzaki could remember echoed in his memory. Right, of course. If he didn't have the heart to help someone in their plight, even if they were from another world, then how could he possibly call himself a true Shinobi?

"Alright, but do you mind if I get a few things from home before we leave?" he asked the moogle, who nodded. There were a handful of scrolls that Ryuzaki kept in his apartment, they were final Ninjutsu techniques that Master Mori had not yet taught him before he died. Ryuzaki wanted to bring them along, having been wanting to study them and try to master those techniques, but now it seemed he would have to do so on the go.

Eventually, the ship carrying Ryuzaki made its landing on airfield outside of a beautiful palace. Ryuzaki had never been outside of Japan, so such a different architecture made the place feel especially alien and foreign to him. The ship's hatch opened and Ryuzaki walked out onto the airfield, still wearing the casual attire he had on previously, though he did carry with him a single-strap backpack that he held slung over his shoulder. He could see a woman standing nearby and wondered if she was waiting for him.

"H-hello." he said, his English a tiny bit shaky. Master Mori had also happened to be a fluent speaker of English and taught as much of it to Ryuzaki up until he died. Ryuzaki wasn't sure if his English was as good as his master's, but it would have to do, "My name Kagura Ryuzaki." he said, giving a bow that was typical for Japanese greeting. "Will I be working with you? I'll do my best to get along with everyone." for someone who was supposed to be an expertly trained ninja assassin, Ryuzaki was sounding less like that and more like a student on their first day of class.

Korun was able to bat aside Negi's Ki Blast, but quickly noticed him pulling back, "Don't you run you coward!" he barked as he moved to pursue, but something else demanded his attention. Rapid fire blasts coming from someone who was unmistakably one of his own kind. Korun had to momentarily take his tunnel vision off of Negi just defect them, and even then the attack was surprising enough that a stray shot or two managed to hit him and scuff his armor, "I don't care if you are one of us, anyone who gets in my way dies!" he screamed and moved to rush the Saiyan woman, but then...

"WATER BARRAGE!"

This attack managed to catch Korun almost completely off guard. He spun around in time to see an incoming barrage of projectiles and only just barely managed to put up his arms guard against it. The technique was no ordinary ki blast like those used previously by his Saiyan kinsmen, these were stronger. The projectiles when the dust cleared, Korun was still alive, but not unscathed. Parts of his armor had been badly scratched, and parts of the inner body suit had been torn open and bloody cuts could be seen on his arms and legs, "Nngh... you..." Korun said through gritted teeth. It'd been a while since anyone managed to actually cause him some damage. Maybe these humans weren't so worthless after all? But his thoughts suddenly became overshadowed by a growing anger and frustration, and his battle power seemed to slowly rise alongside those emotions.

While all this was happening, Negi had shot a glance at Tabaga when she asked her question, "It's complicated." was all he had time to say. He noticed the armored woman starting look like she was afraid and so Negi moved to float in the air next to her, "It's alright if you're scared, no one will hold against you if you flee. He won't come after you, I won't let him." he told her this while offering as much of a compassionate expression as a Saiyan warrior was capable of giving, and then returned to his steely gaze and focused it back in Korun's direction in time to see the results of Juze's technique.

"Heh... you're DEAD YOU SCUM!" Korun shouted in a blood curdling scream as he rocketed toward Juze. He meant to charge into a direct melee rush but, then all of sudden he froze and looked as if something was giving him pain. He glanced behind himself to see a blue skinned person who had apparently snuck up on and was now squeezing the Saiyan's tail as tightly as his strength could muster, but was also trembling a bit, as afraid or unsure whether this tactic he was offered earlier would even work. Korun's face contorted in reaction to pain, but he struggled through it, shakily raising his hand as if to fire a point blank Ki Blast in Bururi's face.

"No!" Negi exclaimed and flew to try and stop Korun, but after having positioned himself next to Cheral there was no way he'd get there in time.

"Die you blue bastard!" Korun shakily said through short breaths and gritted teeth before his blast fired off. In a panic Bururi did the first thing that he could think of and pulled as hard as he could on the tail just as the blast knocked him back. There was a popping noise and Korun suddenly looked white as a ghost. His tail. His tail! That blue son of a bitch actually managed to rip it off! The Saiyan could feel a significant portion of his battle power begin to rapidly fall. But boy was he angry. He was more enraged now than ever and Bururi was right there for him to take it out, "You... you TOOK MY FUCKING TAIL!" Korun starting beating Bururi mercilessly. Even with his battle power significantly lowered he could still damage this blue alien man. And then he realized that Negi was coming in fast and decided to twist the knife. He held up Bururi by the hair and moved his face in very close, only to open his mouth and spew forth a beam of Ki energy. Bururi's headless body fell from the sky and Korun now held a badly burned blue-skinned head in his hand by the hair.

Negi halted and even trembled, but not with fear, "Korun, you... you BASTARD!" his own battle power began to skyrocket in that intense moment and he resumed his advance, this time much faster and a whole lot angrier. He smashed his fist into the side of Korun's head, demolishing the Saiyan's scouter and sending him flying back. But Negi just reappeared next to Korun and grabbed him by the leg and hurled down toward the ground before rushing forward in pursuit. His fist met Korun's torso just as he hit the ground, and then Negi started pummeling. So fast and hard that Korun's armored body began to dig a small crater into the ground from the rapid impacts of the punches. After another moment, Negi stopped and glared down at Korun's now significantly weaker form. He wasn't dead, and his armor kept him from being seriously injured apart from some bruised ribs. But between his tail being gone and this attack from Negi, it was clear that Korun no longer had any chance against this unlikely alliance between Saiyans and Humans.

Elsewhere, Jagen listened to Po in stoic silence. He didn't tell the boy to stop or be quiet, his being excited for the fight to come was only natural for a Saiyan. But then, his scouter suddenly beeped and his expression changed. Korun's battle power had dropped significantly, enough so that it could have been from one cause. Jagen then glanced at Po, "Alright, it's been long enough for the lesson to be learned... now it's our turn." and his own battle power began to shoot up even higher than Korun's had ever been as he took off toward the battlefield at full speed.
@Double What I was saying is that it's possible that at one point someone talented enough reverse-engineered a stray spaceship and flew away from Earth. That could be a single person escaping Earth for whatever reason. Humans don't need to colonize space, in fact I was thinking of changing the trade planet into one with many races in it.

Also I guess I'll remove the half-Saiyan part.

(I'll play as a cute anime girl if you're not still not okay with this. Are there already enough of them?)

That stray ship had to have come from somewhere, but I can't think of any.... wait, yes I can. Kami's ship. Soneone could have discovered Kami's old ship in Yunzabit Heights, but whether they could just claim it without him knowing is another matter entirely.
If anything, that was my favourite part of BBS, Terra was a typical modern FF protagonist, stone-faced and angsty and moaning about the darkness (A Cloud alagory that every modern FF game is contractually obligated to have) but the fact that he was forced to interact with all of these bright and colourful worlds gave him, at several points a "Oh, i can't stay angsty at you." feel to him. Like, he can't help but get into the spirit of things with Cinderella telling him that dreams really do come true and Stitch telling him that Ohana means family.

It was my least favourite part of modern FF being forced to interact with my single favourite part of classic Disney.

I'm not saying that's bad, but I am saying that I enjoyed it more in small doses rather than having the entire game be nothing but that. But oh well, agree to disagree.

Wait, people liked Originization XIII? Everyone i have talked and all of the reviews i have read seems to agree that Orginization XIII is the single worst part of the franchise. Boring, cookie cutter characters with an overarching plan that is constantly getting retconned, and them constantly making really stupid mistakes. Like, in 2, there is a scene where one of them tells Sora the Orginizations MO, then the immediate next scene is the same character going "We shouldn't have told him that, now we've made things harder for ourselves." and i'm just looking at the screen going "Then why the fuck did you do it?" and in the third one where one of them literally falls for the old "Hey look, a distraction!" trick by not-Zell and his Twilight-Town gang.

Okay, well the endless amounts of fanart and fanfiction would beg to differ regarding their popularity, but that's not the main point I want to make. And come on, that "Look a distraction!" scene was hilarious and effing glorious and don't you even try to deny it. As for Xehanort's motivations? Yeah they sucked, even in 3 where they tried to retcon it as him wanting to "save" the universe from Darkness by rebooting it, I won't deny that. But badly written motivations are not the same as having none at all. But again, we can just agree to disagree, it's all good.

At any rate, my real point was the suggestion I offered in that above post that seems to have slipped through the cracks. I'd still like to humbly suggest we take a cue from the likes of Epic Mickey, let the worlds not only be attacked by Heartless but also let them bring aspects of the Realm of Darkness with them as a way to visually show off what a world looks as it sinks closer and closer to being swallowed. Another suggestion I would humbly offer is to maybe start us off in the Realm of Darkness. Just, hear me out. We start off in our worlds, those worlds get swallowed up in our opening posts. It's in the Realm of Darkness that we encounter each other, maybe our Key-weapons protected us being turned into Heartless. Anyway the first act of the story can be us getting a first hand look at what happens when worlds are gone. We take a cue from Fragmentary Passage and see bits and pieces of former worlds as we search for a way back into the Realm of Light, the experience giving us all a nice juicy platter of motivation to want to save the rest of the worlds from suffering the same fate as well as trying to find way to restore the ones that were already lost.
@Weird Tales You still gonna post?

@Shoddy McCoy When did humans ever colonize space in the series? Sounds like that comes from an anime only filler episode (or from GT) whereas I'm primarily going by the manga continuity. Also whats the point of them being half Saiyan? It doesn't seem to play into anything, and I can tell you right now that everyone is going to keeping up with each other equally if that was something you were worried about.
@Shoddy McCoy Okay so, two things. Firstly, I don't think humans exist on other planets besides Earth so half Saiyan hybrid isn't exactly a viable option there. Secondly, Space Troopers are going to ultimately feel redundant as hell by the time the second saga gets started, won't spoil anything but it sort of involves Galactic Patrol.
@Shoddy McCoy Yeah go head.
What about aspects of each franchise? Do we just ban the force, or mutant powers from X-man? Because they're still going to get magic, and assess to fantasy stuff by virtue of their key weapons.

It's almost like they aren't thematically appropriate or something! I kid, I kid.

But in all seriousness, I'm all for making Disney and FF more relevant (especially the latter, given the abysmal treatment it got in 3), but come one who doesn't love Aqua and Ventus? And... it's kind of hard to tell a very compelling story when you have characters like Goofy and Genie yucking it up alongside Cloud Strife's stonefaced angst. I'm guessing that's why the Organization stuff ended up being as popular as it was... consistency in its tone?

So my suggestion is thus: Maybe go in an Epic Mickey style of direction? Something dark and scary is encroaching on the worlds and draining the life and color from them and so you get a consistently dark tone upon initially visiting worlds but get to see them as they are meant to be once they've actually cleansed or saved or whatever.
