@SleepingSilence Any recommendations?
@Altered Tundra I'm trying to save my judgement until I see a more substantial trailer. I might also be really guarded on this film because I love the classic so damn much lol. Also means that I'm being a little more nit picky than I should. I'm nervous... but you're right, given the crew and the small snippet given, the film does have the potential to be great.

I also have to remind myself that a story doesn't mature with me just because I've gotten older. It's a family flick and Aladdin should remain there.

Regardless, I'm first in line to see it. Everyone else can get behind me.
I... don't know how I feel about that.
Want to say that everyone who watches movies should have or should see Searching. Seriously.

Watched Venom and it was okay. The first half was hilarious and fun. The second half happened.
The relationship between the Symbiote and Eddie was one thing I thoroughly enjoyed.

Watched a Simple Favor and maybe it's because I'm a simple person but I found the events leading up to the conclusion a bit confusing. Doesn't detract from my enjoyment of it however. Is also a more... lighthearted version of Gone Girl which was an amazingly disturbing film.

Watched Kin. Sloppy setup to a sequel that I could have been excited for but... the setup was... I have never been threatened with falling asleep in the middle of a screening until I watched that film.

...Am I allowed to talk about series on here? Started Maniac on Netflix and that shit is interesting. Making me want to watch and finish Legion which I have not.

Happy to elaborate on any of these.

Casual.
2-4 players.
Pirate adventure with fantasy elements.
Mature.

This is a continuation of a game that began on another site and is being continued here. The game itself is inspired by but does not strictly follow the rules of the world during the classic age of piracy in our history. It is not set on Earth but rather a fictional world with elements borrowed from your classic fantasy adventure. There exists exotic races of man and beast. There exists magic. There exists mystery. The world in it's entirety lays mostly unexplored.

The above considered, the tone therein is not as bleak as the title may portray although there will be mature themes explored throughout. These include death, drugs, sex, slavery, etc.

Due to the creative nature of this game, it is highly encourage that players add their own lore to the world. This includes new species of animals, unexplored islands and story threads to pull on and explore. The overall direction of the game will be nudged, carefully, down a path that can be deviated from. Actions taken in game will also have consequences, both direct and otherwise.

While a war rages between two bodies of power over what little of the known world they control, others see fit to escape the turmoil by losing themselves in the throws of adventure. The edges of map have been left blank and many brave souls have sailed into uncharted waters in the hope of finding... something. Safety. Treasure. Another world.

Formerly members of a crew to a fairly successful privateer vessel, Sylar and Sybil have taken to the open ocean again after coming into possession of a rare map... by means less than noble. After meeting with and recruiting, or rather deceiving, a bar keep into joining their crew, the pair make haste with more than a few a vexed souls giving chase.

Their map leads to a treasure of "great value" that is oddly enough, marked as waiting beyond the charted sea.
