The Multiverse: Arena

I have a slight idea for a new main character, but still need a lot of development on him before I can say for certain what he'll be like. Maybe tomorrow during work I'll flesh him out enough to get a basic character sheet going. I'll still certainly be using Evvie a lot as well. The rest of my characters will be less frequent, likely for specific battles and rivalry purposes.

Ironically, I've been fleshing Jacer out for three days and his CS, only 2/3 done, is 3 pages long in gdocs!! >,< I might be going a little too much detail with him but I'm enjoying it. ^-^

Technically, yes. But I do believe that they were not actually from hell. From looking at the character sheet here, it is a little ambiguous about the actual location (it says pits of hell, but it is not capitalized, so it might not mean actual hell).

I always thought that they were from a place like Hell but not from Hell itself. The Arachne posts during that arc has Athena mention how "[our] Christian society mistakenly calls [them] ‘demons’". While part of me would use this to support my thoughts of the nature of D-Day, this also is a linguistic development where in ancient Greek daemon just meant 'lesser deity' and then the Christians took it up to be an evil spirit.

Also, that River Stix reference is not the actual Greek mythological one (because I have an monopoly on Greek Myth ). Hades would never let that happen.

Ironically, see Hades, I miss playing him in my 1x1 with a friend. Mine was moody and groomly, but for a reason beyond his control and rather annoyed about people chiding him over his antisocial preferance. :p

@Aridian If you are interested, here is how D-Day started.

How long ago was D-Day. Maybe 2-3 weeks ago, I think. @nitemare shape might be able to give an answer. I also think that the portal was not open for more than a day (a couple hours would probably be more accurate). Technically they were not "demons". They were extra-dimensional beings that resemble demons.

And @GreivousKhan, just to bump this thread up, I'm in the WIP of creating a PC (2 NPCs) for this. When others get their CSes made and up, I actually got to thinking of Jacer's enterance and how to do that. Depending on how this is done, it might make a nice warm up match to connect the Players to each other. At least acknowledge each for later. If you're game for ideas, I'll shoot you a pm over it as I have numerous other questions over this for the future. >_>

Um...so...I have a question about the D-Day thing. How did that actually start? And...were there any major aftereffects? I'm assuming there were people in the square when the portals opened?

From what I was told, OoC wise, it was an event some Players pitched yet they dropped fairly early in the game before completing it. The other players took it and ran with it. It was centeralized around Sherman Square where Racheli's and Justine's apartment is localed, as well as the riots are/have/will(whenever you're currently timeline) happen(ed/ing). There was a large portal that was ripped open and thousands of demons poured out then started to devour whoever they could get their claws, wings, tendrils, or w/e on. Panic ensured, and heroes came to the rescue.

Also, walking the line means pretty much neutral, right? Could lean to either side, but are mostly in it for themselves? Would Villain cover someone who just doesn't give a shit about consequences?

Walking the Line= Neutral or Independent. Racheli, for example, will be Walk the Line as she isn't going to conquest to dominate the world nor will she aim to save it. Mostly, she will only deal with her own issues and if those issues happen to benefit or the hurt the world, so be it! :p Some might just not want to save the world but still care about those around, consquences be damned. Does that help?

Identity refers to whether or not the general public knows of your real identity? Or just your existence in general?

Yes. If the public knows you than it would be a yes. If not, it's a no.

Oh, and sadly I am now the bearer of bad news.....

The Chat function is no longer functional. This is a RPG decision, not mine. All of the chats on the Guild are now defunct.

Actually... Ellri fixed that with the aftermath by switching out the cilent hosting the chatroom. Not to mention, if you hexchat program you can still use them as it's only the browser that won't work. Not sure why, but the room is stil there.
