Depends. Have you decided which city you're aiming to start off in? I know I've been talking to Vat and others in NYC about possible stuff for the new S2 in that direction, getting the details hashed, brainstorming and learning about each other's PC which is always fun.

I tend to use skype as my goof off mode as Ded seems to be modding the heck out of the OoC, so he hasn't any reason to get uncomfortable with me. However, I wouldn't mind using the OoC a bit more when in regards with story aspects. Currently I know Trickster has/is working out additional ways to get his PC or NPC into the Natural Selections arc.

I'm also, save for fdeviant, waiting for all the players involved with that arc to post their intro/set up posts before this upcoming Friday. Those who don't, I'll simple expect them to work themselves in at some point and keep the story going.

Actually, with the whole military thing, in most cases you call out contacts before shooting so everyone knows where the threat is. Even in the middle of an assault, you still call out enemy locations and what they're armed with so the threat can be countered. The case with a sniper also has the added wrinkle where the sniper is concealed and if the only person who sees them just starts shooting, it may complicate things if that person gets shot. Then you're down a man and still no idea where the shooter is.

So, Drono may he an unprofessional jackass, he's not wrong. ;D

True but usually they don't call them out loud enough for EVERYONE to hear. Every time I read Drono, I keep seeing him shouting with a smug look. XD

Fun fact, so I am a dirty liar, what was time that was supposed to be me working on a post turned into working on an essay that I had to rewrite because it was atrocious. But hey, on the bright side I am done with my essays, so I am finally free.

Is the Ancient magic the uncommon ones or are there others and can I make someone with no magic?

Ancient magic is becoming rarer and rare so it's not as common as others and Arcanite is impossible for anyone to have. Only one NPC has it and his body is pretty much rotting from the inside out, making him helpless and unable to interact outside of PCs making time for it. As for someone with no magic, technically everyone has magic but not everyone has activated it. We have one individual like that, Myrn, which is owned by Ryo who aims for her to develop it later in IC. However, the main issue with not having magic is coming up with a plausible purpose to interact with the students and work for the college over all. If you can come up with that, I see little reason that would be an issue.

I'll keep the race as is. Maybe change a few minor things but I'm not sure yet. For the magic I kept going through the lists but the only one that seemed to pop for me was the Runes.

Currently, those require an impressive CS that is around adv levels so I would have to see the character sheet before allowing another rune mage. So I suggest, either having a back up and trying it or picking something other than Ancient magics because I will be very, very picky on your CS since the magics have been the hardest to retain some sense of balance without risking abuse. Unlike the others.

I'm probably going to be a Sannids I just can't think of what/if any type of magic I want to do.

Alright, feel free to have fun and creative with them as the prior player dropped from the rp. So you don't need to worry about contacting them over the aspects of the race. AS for the magic, what type interests you most or do you want one that isn't common among the PCs?
