Physique: Dolly’s body is not conventionally masculine. Combined with his small stature, he appears slim and dainty.

Appearance:
Dolly, being a mouse, is naturally small. Even by rodent standards, he is rather frail for a young man. He has stark white hair and fur, along with extremely pale skin due to his albinism. He has a fuzz-covered tail that’s almost as tall as he is, and a pair of round ears he never seemed to grow into. His soft features and unassuming appearance make him seem like not much of a threat, and he knows this. Dolly’s hair is very long, kept around his calves (a bit over two feet in length). Sometimes it is tied back with a bow or into a braid. He puts effort into his appearance, staying groomed and well dressed- most of the time. He'll wear makeup and other various feminine things without batting an eye, but has androgynous fashion as well. Most of his clothes are pastel in color and quite conservative when out and about, but his wardrobe becomes much more obnoxious when it comes to his nightlife.

Personality:
Despite his timid looks, Dolly is absolutely frothing with emotion (mostly rage). To the passerby, he is a wannabe big shot with a serious Napoleon complex. This is all very true, but he is more than a short guy with too much attitude. Dolly's aggression is very warranted seeing that the world is cruel, and he is trying to make a point of not being an easy target. Throughout his life, he's learned to always be on guard. It's how he survived. He sees most people as a potential threat, and also gets rather insecure around animals larger than him since they threaten his authority. He likes to belittle and insult others, but only if he believes he can get away with it. Though he has a hard time swallowing his pride, he will do so for survival. Deep down, he feels an obligation to stick up for the "little guy". They remind him of himself. He has an obsession with proving that he is not weak, even if he physically is. He has a very difficult time accepting assistance from other people since he worries that it makes him appear more fragile (at least more than he already is). He also has a difficult time taking the blame when something is his fault, often shouldering it aside. He does not want to come face-to-face with the reality that people can see he isn't as perfect as he looks.

Dolly is very hedonistic. He is very much one to take stupid risks either to be petty or just to have fun. He is outwardly promiscuous because he is tired of being ashamed of himself, and also enjoys the power it gives him. He enjoys the security he feels that comes with having control over things. He knows he's pretty and will use it to his advantage if needed, but thankfully he doesn't try to manipulate people. Still, he has a reputation of being superficial. He is a surprisingly lonely person, only really forging relationships to fool around instead of committing to people. Commitment scares him, but he does yearn for security in both platonic and romantic relationships. He is also rather emotionally immature, so his wants don't align with his needs, and he is constantly struggling against this.

Dolly was born in a backwater town somewhere in Texas. He never really fit in there, being the runt of his family. He was a sickly child, so his mother spent most of her time fretting over him. He’s always been her favorite according to everybody else. Even after regaining most of his health as he grew, she always insisted on babying him. This annoyed the hell out of Dolly since it mostly manifested as her keeping him inside and within her sight whenever she could. He was isolated from his peers and siblings for most of his childhood, though he was somewhat close to August due to being littermates. Though, the two drifted apart because of a lack of shared interests. Dolly was mostly into the arts (because they were considered “safe”), while his brother was more rough-n-tumble.

Dolly spent most of his time doing chores around the house (usually being shepherded by his mother) or at the local church. He and his brother went to school there and were raised rather religiously. He was a good kid, always trying to help out even if he couldn’t do much. This was because he really had nothing better to do with himself, and he wanted some form of validation that wasn’t from his overbearing mother. Though, he began to vehemently reject his religion as an act of rebellion as a teenager. To this day, the thought of going back to church makes him want to gag. He sees the holier-than-thou mindset he once carried as obnoxious and is quite content with being secular.

If it were up to his mother, Dolly would still be at home, pretending to be a surrogate daughter for the little girl she never had. He ran off with his then boyfriend, Buck, to New York at age 17. It was a stupid idea and a stupid way to come out to his family, but Dolly doesn’t regret doing it. He was sure staying in that town would have driven him insane. He spent most of his time making questionable decisions and hanging out with questionable people- this led to a rather tough falling out with Buck about a year ago. Now Dolly is friendless and scrambling to pull his life together- without the help of his parents, as he’s dead scared of speaking to them. The city has been cruel at times, but he's determined to just tough it out.

Hopefully, a healthy shine to his coat and muscular frame will return within the next coming months. He has a distinct distaste for most clothing. He is a walking insulator and does not need any more layers on his body. He will wear shorts for modesty, even in the dead of winter. Undershirts if he's going somewhere that requires it. Because of his irregularly shaped paws, Hiro only wears open-toed shoes.

In perhaps the most ironic turn of events, Hiro has found that managing his predatory instincts is quite easy if he stays in touch with his other animalistic traits. Grooming, scratching, climbing- it may be considered rude (or its plain weird), but he does it all anyway to manage stress. He has virtually no prey drive aside from the occasional urge to chase fast objects and prefers to keep it that way. He is completely comfortable around herbivores in a physical sense…though they may be wary of him due to his brooding nature. Still, Hiro secretly harbors jealousy towards herbivores. He sees being a carnivore as a huge hassle. Something about herbivores is so…infuriating. He wishes he could be as graceful and tolerated as them.

Despite being a predator cut out for sports, he always enjoyed more intellectually stimulating activities. In a way, he also felt as if it made him less intimidating. It fed into the childlike perception that he would always be the friendly, quiet big cat who people could rely on. After all, appealing to the herbivores was how carnivores were successful. This was a mindset that would die hard.

Hiro started eating meat in high school, and continued to do so throughout college. It was his sister that brought him to the black market for the first time. His teenage angst was getting to him, so she did what she could to try and keep his instincts manageable. Hiro was getting closer to adulthood, and all adult carnivores snuck a little bit of meat every so often to keep themselves sane. He was no different. Perhaps because of his early exposure to it, he never felt any real moral issues with consuming herbivore meat. It was a necessity, and it wasn't like he was killing anybody for it. Nobody was actually getting killed, it was just the natural way of things. At least, that was how Hiro reasoned with it as a teenager.

It was in his late teens did the snow leopard finally start coming out of his shell. He was a teacher's pet throughout his academic career, as he needed good grades to qualify for a scholarship to go to college. He knew his mother couldn't afford to send him without it. Once he did make the scholarship, he relaxed a bit before the semester started making friends- he was surprisingly popular amongst his peers. This was probably the most happy period of his life. He longs for things to be simple like that again.

Hiro started college with a hectic but strong start. He enjoyed the newfound independence and was actually growing a social life. Unfortunately, this would lead to his downfall. He got too close to his roommate that was destined to drag him down with him. Soon enough, Hiro found himself getting pulled into all sorts of back-alley deals in the black market. His scholarship would also be revoked after his second semester due to drug-related charges. Now in debt and with a record, he dropped out at age 19 to pursue work to pay off what he could- and maybe fund a few unhealthy habits he picked up along the way.

It was a downward spiral until he was about 21. Hiro spent his time being spiteful to the world and joining a gang of ruffians. Though, they were less of a gang and more of a syndicate that only seemed to grow in power with each passing day. Hiro didn’t bother much with the semantics of it, but they paid him well to get his hands dirty. He’d only just gotten used to the feeling of beating people in back allies when he decided to stop. It was part of why he stopped, actually. That, and the absolute shiver that ran down his spine the first time he snapped a person’s neck. It was some tough guy who was just as much of a scumbag as him. He had an empathetic epiphany at that moment. Without a word, he turned around and left.

Hiro slunk in the shadows. Even now he keeps a low profile, hoping nobody from that old gang bothers with trying to drag him back. He has been back to university in EU to pursue computer science, resuming where he left off and is now in the midst of his second year of schooling. He is anxious, the work is overwhelming, and quitting meat is making him lethargic. Nonetheless, he feels…somewhat optimistic.
