@Frettzo Are you sure you want to spend a whole Might point on Squiggles? You could totally get away with making them for a free point Miracle, or two if you do one for their plant aspect and one for their animal aspect.
Oh! I hadn't thought of that, dang. I'll edit that in, no one will realize! That brings my acts of creation down to 1 right? cause of the saved MP
In our childishness, life was filled with torment. We have to do better.
It had begun, then, she realized with a heavy heart. This world had existed for so little time and things were already going wrong. Her family was beginning to fight and disagree on the most basic of ideas... Just like before.
Were worlds Fated to be like this, hopelessly tied to reach a gruesome end every time?
Maybe they were. Maybe there was no escape from the cycle, if there even was one.
"No, it can't be..." Aella whispered to herself as she ducked under a low hanging tre branch, its leaves grazing her hair as she moved past, "But if it is, then... No." She shook her head and let out a sigh. Thinking about such things would only slow her down now. She had a goal. So what if Fate wanted to lead people down the same path over and over again? It didn't matter. If Fate had an adoration for the suffering of beings, then Fate was bound to suffer a lot in this Universe. As long as Aella was around, she'd make sure everyone lived as well as they could.
She wasn't far from the others, and while she couldn't see them, she could still feel them. More and more Great Ones came into being, all thanks to the Door. Of all of them, one stood up the most. A strange kind of Essence... As if a mortal was a God, or a God was a mortal. She'd never felt anything like that before. Maybe he was the one that would lead them into a new direction this time? She would have to find this new God - Césure apparently, or so she felt his name was - and talk to him. Later and in private, of course.
For now, she focused back on the forest. As she walked, she began to smell the putrid air of the swamp nearby, the creation of Pelegath. A good creation certainly, she could already imagine the kinds of civilizations that would settle such lands. Maybe a reptilian species? Perhaps an insectoid race? Either way, she didn't want to explore that yet and so she turned around and went deeper into the forest.
She reached a clearing and realized something was lacking, something extremely important. With that, she knelt down and took a blade of grass. She stretched it and molded it into a long stalk with a bulb on top. She then blew softly on the bulb and from it sprouted a beautiful set of petals, complete with Stamen, pistils, and eveything a proper flower needed. She repeated the process numerous times, trying with different combinations of colors, shapes and most importantly, scents.
Eventually, the entire clearing was covered in a wide variety of flowers. But the flowers needed help to reproduce, so she went to the middle of the clearing and raised a single tree, somewhat taller the the others of the forest. From the wood on that tree, she created another bulb, this one considerably bigger than the ones for the flowers, and blew on it.
A moment later, the bulb flowered. A set of huge petals, at least a meter long and hanging from the tree branch, covered the bulb. Then over a few moment, a soft buzzing could be heard coming from within the petals.
Dozens of small insects - which resembled brown, fuzzy balls of spiky hair with miniature flower petals on their bellies - flew out and onto the flowers. They would be the ones to take care of pollination, Aella thought.
Finally, she gave the little insects a stinger and named them Squiggles. She giggled at the name, then felt very silly and left the clearing with a blush on her face and puffed out cheeks.
Aella walks through the forest, thinks about Cesure and how he feels somewhat different to the other Gods. She nearly walks into Pelegath's swamp and decides to do a complete 180, going back to the forest proper.
While in the forest she finds a rather plain clearing. She fills it with flowers and then creates the Squiggles, little fuzzy ball-like insects that fly around with miniature flower petals growing from their back. They do the job of Bees.
She feels silly and embarrassed that she came up with such a name for a species.
Also yes she did purposefully avoid the place with the huge foken corruptinator worms, she didn't even want to think about it!
MP=4 - Miracles=4
Used 1 MP to create a few dozen species of flowers, including the basic ones like Roses, tulips, etc. Used 2 Miracles to create the Squiggles. They required One Miracle for the flower aspect on their backs and one Miracle for the rest.
I added the tree millipede to my profile, it has the neat stuff you need to know about Kiko’s Babies. And why the cost 1 might to make. And before you ask, yes they can uproot trees if they are angry enough.
I can see it now, worms and milipedes are going to be the dominant sentient species of this world. Humans will be forced underground for centuries at a time and will have to fight for their lives at every turn, developing technology to counter the evil worms's humanicide that they drop on fields from planes.
Of course, I don't actually know what either of these backstories are.
Judging by Aella's intro, it was probably a walk in the park.
If you wanna hash it out, PMs are always open. Otherwise we can let nature run its course IC :p
Aella's previous world was completely dead by the time she went through the Door, so who knows? The entire world's history is open for Mater Lei to interact and put her backstory in there
"It has already begun, Aella; I have given life to the oceans, and Kap-gam has given the souls that now breath through my Faliargun, who think and feel and dream. Another, the Lizard God, has set about his work already, creating the beginnings of something... but has drifted far from my sight." Orfai, one of her new Brothers, had said.
Aella realized she'd arrived after some of the others, but not that she'd arrived this late. It was a shame to be sure, not being there to watch the creation of life with her fellow Gods... But there was no time to lament.
"A fourth has created energy, but it is not life. So now, nothing grows upon the lands save the soul fungi itself. Perhaps you would remedy such?" He'd asked her. She tilted her head at his words, trying to understand whether they were a request or a genuine question. To her, it was obvious that she'd do everything in her power to protect life, but she hadn't thought as far as to actually create it. She regarded Orfai with a friendly nod of her head before responding.
"Thank you for bringing me up to speed, Brother... Orfai it is, yes? Feel assured that I will contribute to this world's beauty and liveliness as much as I can-" [@darkworlf687]
"Children? Do they eat? Do they breathe? Look around." Kap Gam said to Seihdhara, motioning to the barren state of the world. What Kap Gam had said was true, but the way she said it... Well, she could have done better. Aella regarded her fellow Goddess with a look of 'Seriously, dude? That was a shit thing to say but oh well, I still think you're cool.' @Double Capybara
A lot of things happened quickly, just in time for when her sister Seihdhara approached her and placed her hand on her cheek.
It was a warm touch, that of her new Sister. It reminded her of old friends and days spent playing under the Sun. There was no doubt, Seihdhara was beautiful - after all, what was more beautiful than a woman that wanted to protect her children? Aella her own hand on top of Seihdhara's and returned the embrace like a mother would return a child's desperate hug.
Aella let Seihdhara rest her head on her chest, which despite all the armour, felt like it was clothed in the softest silk.
'S- sister... I want to nurture - I want to nurture my children. You came through the Door - do you know how to get them from beyond? I want nothing more.' Seihdhara said, tears decorating her face.
At that moment, Aella's smile was true. As she regarded her saddened sister, she couldn't help but gently wipe away her tears and plant a kiss on her forehead. "Oh, my young, sweet sister..." She said, sadness clear in her voice, "I cannot pretend to know where your children are. Much less can I pretend to know how to reach back into our old worlds..." She fell silent and took in a deep breath of the barren air of a not-so-barren world.
"Seihdhara, we are here now. We are family. Cry as much as you need to cry, sister, but know that you're not alone. Your children may not be here with us now, but what keeps you from giving birth to more life in this new world? Do you not want to see this world filled with your little ones, to watch them grow up strong and beautiful?" Aella kept the embrace going for a short while longer before gently disengaging with another kiss to Seihdhara's forehead. "Sweet sister, I'm here for you, remember that. Let me know if you ever need someone to talk to. Also definitely let me know if you want someone to watch over your little ones." She gave a soft chuckle before walking away, into the nearby forest, created by the God of Life. @Kho
It truly was a nice forest, the trees even had leaves.
Just a lot of interaction, dudes. Aella responds to Orfai, gives Kap Gam a disapproving look and talks to Seihdhara.
In the end she just walks away into the nearby forest.
WENT OVER THE 3K LIMIT AGAIN, WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME.
She used no might, so I'm not even gonna put the might summary up here. I know, I'm a rebel.
Jk I wouldn't dare oppose the almighty Termite, she'd eat all the wooden supports in my house!
Oh I see how it is. I see how it is. Seihdhara marries a couple of grizzlies and suddenly everyone's running for Aelia. Well you know what? AeliaxSeihdhara is obviously the bestest pairing. They came into the world crying. Both are stronk warriors.
edit: we're renaming this RP into 'Seihdhara's Harem'
this is true, sorry people. Aella is actually a furry.
