Don't see why not. We could use a few more ranged people, I think~

@Thecrash20
Dark battle mage eh? Him and Tis might get along well.

According to @Savo the OTP is already Tis/Rael for some reason.
I am planning to have an archer rogue. That okay?

Only other "rogue" insofar as I can tell, is me; I'm a combat rogue/sub-tank sort of deal; and there's also the possibility of @demonspade64's character, but they seem more stabby stabby rogue then shooty shoots rogue.
@Shoryu Magami You know, one of the best things, in my opinion, is when you have someone who you trust enough to know your characters at least a bit. Like...my fave dm has written entire stories for timeskips in rps and stuff (he's amazing), and they focus on the various different characters, and I go and read the ones for my chars and he just nails it. <3 *flailing* Makes me so happy, it's like getting arts but with writing! And there's been instances where someone else's character plays a huge role in the life/development of my characters, and I sorta get to adopt those characters for other rps, though they eventually split from their origins over time as all things do. And friends have requested similar permissions when my chars are inextricably linked to theirs, and I've given it. <3

Yeah, I have a lot of friends I can definitely trust that with; my oldest writing partner, @DruSM157 and I can basically do that without fear of writing each other character's incorrectly and it generally goes fairly well.

For the record, @tsukune I will say I’ve seen more inconsistent collaborations then I have back-and-forth posts. Constantly changing POV, erratic tense changes/shifts, and over-reliance on collaboration posts are some of the issues I’ve seen on average and have at times turned me off from collaboration posts through the various mediums (docs, pads, PMs, etc). I think my preference for back-and-forth is more in the spirit of play-by-post RPing as well.
I find a lot of back-and-forth writing feels choppy and awkward to read
Tsukune

Then you are reading with the wrong type of RPers! ;)
@shylarah How do you feel about writing sections out of order? It was a “technique” a friend of mine a few years back recommended to essentially keep momentum. I’m feeling stuck on “chapter one” as far as things go and I’m wondering if skipping ahead and coming back is a good idea. I’ve had a rough first week so I’m pretty “behind quota” with the exercise and I feel I need to do something to kick my ass into gear with it.
@Shoryu Magami Just dropping in to give my support. Actually, fun story time~! *sarcasm* I had an old laptop that ran well enough to be used -- until the keyboard finally gave out. Guess when it happened? That's right, the first week of NaNo. Not quite as bad as when you have a school paper due soon, but a close second. x.x

@Gowi@tsukune oh hey people *glomp*

Ayyy Shy.
@NekoMizu@Gowi
Perhaps the better option would be to think of the deadline as writing a draft instead of the finished product?

Ha! That’s exactly the point of NaNoWriMo as a challenge— it has never been about finishing a “finished product” in thirty days. It’s about getting out a stream of ideas and content of a rough draft done within the deadline.
The thing about writing in my experience— if you force your writing it’ll be contrived and possibly uninspired, but if you wait for your writing…. It’ll be possibly uninspired. You really don’t win in any case, so it really comes down to forcing yourself to write as sort of a literary “warm up”. In many ways this is why I role-play, because even if I have creative droughts I still have this constant activity of writing and collaborating where I can keep this sort of momentum to write and be able to do it well.
@Gowi
I'm not doing that myself, though perhaps that could be a way to motivate myself more. Basically force myself to write lel

Yeah, that’s why I try to participate in NaNoWriMo as a rule. If nothing else it will test myself as a writer, force me to be punctual with deadlines, and see how far my creativity will take me.
