Callie kept on running, her answer to his comment about doing their part being, "But I don't even know what that part is!!! How can I even do that if I don't know?!"

He clearly knew more than she did, and she knew she was going to be lost if he died.

Then he lets out a shocked 'No', and though Callie wanted to ask, now wasn't a good time.

She gasped and screamed when something was thrown at them and she was shoved out of the way. Before she even knew it, the thing was standing between her and Merrill. She found herself sitting and trying to back further and further away from the creature still sitting. She couldn't help but let out scared whimpers as she backed away.

Of course, Merrill had gotten its attention and threw something at it.

Callie watched in fear as Merrill fell, missing the taloned swipe. When he called her to do something, she saw another spark, this time it was red, and it seeped into her fingers. She could feel fire in her hands, and she pointed her hands at the creature, sending flames it's way, and after the fire, came a blast of radiating light from her right hand. She desperately hoped that this would be enough to get rid of the creature.
Callie ran as fast as she could. Unfortunately, being a nine year old child meant that she wasn't as fast as she could be. Despite her heavy breathing she could hear the roar of the creature from before. She heard his words about getting out of the open and she looked towards where he pointed, at the trees in the distance. She nodded before the spark and white light appeared.

She didn't really know what else she could say regarding her magic. She couldn't control it and if she could get rid of it, she would.

When he told her to run and not look back, she yelped "What?!" She then protested, panting with heavy breaths, "No...! I can't do that! I can't just leave you behind with that thing!" She then looked to the trees, and she urged "Come on! We're almost there!"

Another spark appears, but this time, it was a faint blue light that settled onto her burn wound and it started to slowly heal itself.
Callie blinked at Merrill confusedly, the aura still raging and her eyes still shining white, when he stared at her wide eyed and made his statement. She couldn't help but start to ask "What...? But there's--" She stopped when she realized that her voice sounded different. She looked at her hands and noticed that they were smaller than normal. Her eyes grew wide once more and she asked in a scared tone, "What happened to me?!"

Then there was a roar and she turned to see the creature's silhouette against the moon. She looked back to Merrill when he spoke, and when he outstretched his hand to her, she took it. She felt her feet touch the ground but aura still raged.

When Merrill asked the unicorn, it gave a nod and answered the both of them telepathically, "While there may not be much time, there is something I can do," The unicorn then bowed, pointing the horn at the both of them, and Callie noticed that the shadows suddenly started to cling to them, and it significantly dimmed the aura of colors, petals, and butterflies. It was like a magical cloak was placed on the both of them.

"I have given you the gift of stealth. Please use this to your advantage and hurry. I will do my best to use what time is left to distract the beast. Go, now!"

Callie nodded and answered "Thank you," and she hurried off with Merrill in tow.

Unfortunately, while they moved away from the scene, trying to be as fast and quiet as possible, another spark appeared. This time, it seemed as though her magic was retaliating against being hidden once more. This time, the aura of colors seemed to have changed. Now there was a bright white light emanating from Callie, blinding those who are too close to her.
The unicorn simply gave a nod to Merrill after he thanked it.

Callie stared at Merrill as he spoke, the auras still radiating angrily around her. At first she did want to strike him down, but instead she listened as he spoke. Her own eyes of white light softened despite the still raging and wild magic that surged. She could see how tired, angry, and scared he was. It was not as different as what she was feeling now...

She started "That's...That's not..."

What was she going to say? That it wasn't fair?! For her, or for him? Or for the both of them?

She then felt the surge act up again, and she yelled in pain, clenching her head once more. She screamed "GODS! MAKE THIS STOP!!!"

Another spark appeared, but this time her entire body seemed to start shifting and changing on its own in this aura. As though to reflect the true nature of her magic and her inexperience with it, her body shrinks down and shifts until the 18 year old is now a 9 year old.
The unicorn turned to look as the Will O' the Wisp and Merrill appeared from the brush. The majestic white coat being approached Merrill and lowered its head, bringing the horn to his leg. The horn once again shine a white light, bringing a healing energy to the man's leg. Callie on the other hand didn't notice. Her eyes were still transfixed on the scorched town below, and her hands were clasping her head, as though she were in pain.

After Merrill spoke, Callie whirled to face him, while still hovering in mid-air surrounded by the myriad of colored magical energy. Merrill would see that Callie's eyes are completely shrouded in white light.

She mournfully and angrily asked Merrill, "....You knew? You knew this would happen? ...WHY DIDN'T YOU SAY ANYTHING?!" As she practically screamed the last question, another spark appeared. This time it was a golden spark that appeared near her hands and seeped into those hands. After that nothing seems to have happened.
Name: Callie Sanders
Race: Human
Profession: Works at the Antsy Anklebiter (Wild Magic Sorcerer)
Age: 18
Appearance And Image:
Personality: Callie is a quiet and reserved person. This wasn't always the case. When she was a child, she used to be a bright and happy-go-lucky child, who was very curious about the world around her. However, as she grew older, she became quieter and much more reserved. This showed in her speech, where she used to talk incessantly about everything, essentially charming almost everyone with her innocence, but as she grew older, she grew quieter, speaking only politely and when she felt like she had to.

This was because as she grew older, she noticed that the strange occurrences that happened around her were not coincidences as people liked to brush off. She came to realize that it was magic, and her Aunt Jenny told her when she was really young that if someone had magic, then they were to be killed because magic was evil. With the memory in mind, Callie never told anyone about her budding magic, and instead kept it hidden. Unfortunately, she fully believed that there was at least some small part of her that was evil.

With her growing cautious and reserved behavior, she was able to keep her magic hidden. Unfortunately, her trying to suppress her magical prowess came at a cost. Her magic seemed to have a mind and will of its own, and it seemed as though it wanted to show itself off to the world. She could feel it! There was a sense of pride, wonder, and joy behind the magic, and it scared her. Whenever she could, she would dart off to her room, so that she could wait out the magical surge. If she couldn't, then she would come up with a good excuse as to what the strange occurrence was, relying on logic and her own charisma.

Unfortunately, as she kept the charade up, the surges grew stronger and more frequent. She can't help but wonder if she can keep it up and continue living in Edhel. There's also the question if her Aunt and the other villagers who helped raise her would stop loving her if they knew, and there was the lingering fear that she may be a truly evil person, just using and manipulating the people around her without even realizing it.

When she's close to someone, and she's not hiding anything, they'll find that she can be quite the conversationalist, and she's actually a joy to be around.

Background: Callie never really knew her parents. She doesn't know what happened to them as Aunt Jenny never really wanted to talk about them when the little girl asked. Callie was raised by her Aunt Jenny with no siblings. Many of the villagers helped Jenny raise Callie, since Edhel was a village where everyone knew each other.

Callie's life in the village was never really eventful, except for the strange incidences with Callie, where the strangest and darnedest things happen. There's always a reason though (given or preconceived), so no one really thought that magic was the cause of the strange incidences.

In her teenage years, Callie works at the Antsy Anklebiter, thanks to the fact that she knew the tavern owner, Bruenor Odinwrath. The dwarf had helped raise the girl, and if anything, Callie was the inspiration behind the tavern's name. There have been many who were attracted to Callie during the teenage years, however, every single time someone got close, Callie always ends up pushing them away, or running off. Everyone in the village just chalks it up to shyness.

So, life is pretty much normal for Callie (other than the magic surges), that is, until a boy stumbles into the tavern, bloodied and beaten.

Strengths: 1. Good with people. She can be persuasive and deceptive.
2. Book and puzzle smart
3. Good at cooking (from working at the tavern)
4. Strategizing

Weaknesses: 1. Not very physically strong
2. Easily tricked
3. Fear of magic
4. Does not know how to use any weapons

Powers: -Wild Magic Surge
-Spellcasting
-Tides of Chaos
-Font of Magic
-Metamagic
-War Caster
-Bend Luck
-Controlled Chaos
-Spell Bombardment
-Sorcerous Restoration

Frisk looked to Cloud first when he made his comment about the gnorcs' condition and how they couldn't be cured. ...Wait, what were gnorcs? Wait, now wasn't a good time to wonder about that! Cloud had drawn his sword, and Dedede was answering Frisk. Why did Dedede seem surprised that they came here for the hat and soul? They felt sorry for the bird when he threw up the black goo. Ewww...

Frisk blinked at Dedede's words, about how he didn't have long. They could feel their SOUL become heavier when Dedede mentioned that they could kill the thing inside him. The child remained silent as he spoke, remaining unmoving (but clearly disturbed) when Dedede's stomach began moving on its own, like there was something alive. So...Dedede gave away the soul and hat to a man...or a monster in a dark cloak. And Frisk easily could tell that Dedede didn't mean a Mt. Ebott monster when he said the word.

They didn't look away as Dedede's body suddenly expanded into a ball. Frisk's hands covered their mouth as they watched Dedede practically scream for help. It didn't take long for the black gunk to escape, while making it look like they just broke Dedede's neck. This gunk formed into something with only one eye before a bright light appeared. They covered their eyes as the bright flash of white light appeared. They were used to almost being blinded in such a manner. When the light was gone, they lowered their hand and saw that the room was now darker.

Of course, it made a move to attack Banjo and Kazooie somehow. Noting how the creature only had one eye, Frisk decided to give the commands to their friend,

"Someone help Banjo Kazooie if you can! Everyone else, aim for the eye! I'm going to CHECK on something,"

They wanted to check on Dedede's SOUL. The culmination of their very being...

Their hand hovered over the ACT button, pressed it, and Frisk pressed the CHECK button. They were going to CHECK on the boss.

Frisk had expected to hear protests against their asking Wario for help. Instead, to Frisk's slight surprise, Cloud was backing them up on this idea, adding onto Frisk's recruiting pitch. They watched the Wario brothers carefully as Wario considered it. It wasn't long before the elder brother decided to come down from his makeshift throne of gold and agree to the proposition. The sound of Wario being King of Dreamland though? Frisk really didn't like the sound of that. Then again...he wouldn't be a king if the subjects didn't recognize him as King. Frisk remembered how Asgore tried to resign, only for the monsters to still come to him for advice and recognize him as King.

The child watched as the Wario and Waluigi argued with each other, which quickly escalated into a comical chase scene. Frisk held their laughter back, keeping their expression at their typical stoic look. Eventually the chase ended and Wario was dragging Waluigi through the door to the Final Boss.

Frisk simply shook their head before turning their attention back to Cloud. They listened as he mentioned getting Dedede to talk. They answered Cloud, "I'll try and get him to talk. At the very least, I can hopefully get him to do a monologue,"

They then reassured the group somberly, taking a moment to take out the toy knife they have, testing its weight, "If I can't get through to him...then I'll fight too,"

They stowed the knife and nodded to the group, "Let's get going," and they led the way after Dedede.

As they walked down the stairs, they noticed how the air became suffocating. It was like...going to face Omega Flowey once more. Frisk couldn't help but swallow as well. They looked to Wario, and they noticed that he seemed scared too, despite putting on a facade. When he stopped to talk, stopped as well. The child could see what they were trying to do. Frisk answered Wario politely, "Eh. I've been in darker places..."

They then looked to the group. Frisk didn't really trust letting Wario be behind them, since he could easily run away. Considering their friend's abilities, Frisk told them, "Alicia, Banjo, Kazooie, you guys enter the room last and back us up. Cloud, with me,"

Frisk figured it would be smart to have Cloud, the sword wielder up front just in case, and the teammates with ranged attacks be in the back. Plus, they figured that Alicia and Banjo Kazooie could easily stop Wario and Waluigi if they tried to run away. After giving the marching order, Frisk entered the room first, hopefully with Cloud by their side.

It wasn't long before they finally met with Dedede. Frisk noticed that he didn't look so good. It must be the virus making his condition worse. And he was wearing the greaves that Naija once had.

Hoping to diffuse the battle before it can begin, and get the information needed, Frisk spoke up, "Dedede! You really don't look so good. Listen, we can get you medical help, but we need to know! What happened to Mario's soul and hat? What did you do with it?"

Shantae listened to the conversation between Sparx and Hunter, not opting to answer his questions regarding the eye and turtle. It wasn't long before the ship had darted off, and Sparx, Hunter, and everyone else headed for Tetris Castle. Shantae, of course, followed after them.

It wasn't long before she reached the 49th floor with the others. She listened to the man talk about the sword. While the technological side was covered, she wished she knew more about magic, since, well, she used magic. But, that was Uncle Mimic's area of expertise. When Cuphead mentioned that he dealt with pirates before, she raised an eyebrow at him. Of course, she dealt with pirates too, but now was not the time to bring that up.

She didn't really have anything to say. She looked at the sword to see if she could recognize any of the magic involved with that sword. She doubted it, but it was still worth a shot.

Frisk’s tears lessened when they felt Cloud’s hand on their head. They gave a small smile despite the beads of tears at the corner of their eyes when Cloud said that they were doing fine as a leader. The child felt relieved when the famous swordsman agreed to their request. With Cloud on the lookout, Frisk felt a little more confident now. There was now less of a chance of those nightmares ever becoming reality!

Thinking of Cloud’s words of encouragement and promise fills you with DETERMINATION!

In the throne room, Frisk kept themselves from laughing at how Wario reacted to their answer to his question. Though, they did feel a little nervous when Cloud outright insulted him. Don’t get the child wrong, Frisk felt the same as Cloud did, but insulting might not be conducive to their goals right now.

The child blinked at Wario’s words. The SOUL and hat wasn’t here?

The child thought pensively. They remembered seeing Wario’s SOUL back at the diner. He was definitely a greedy cheater at heart. Was he a liar?

…It didn’t seem as though he was lying right now. If anything, if Mario’s SOUL and hat were here, he would probably be holding it right now and trying to cut a deal with them…

Frisk only trusted Wario as much as the child could possibly throw the big fat jerk. (…And that is saying something!)

Wario’s advice on giving up didn’t sit well with the child either. They clearly had no idea who they were talking to. Frisk was too DETERMINED to ever give up.

If anything, the thought of proving them wrong filled the child with DETERMINATION!

Well, they can’t search while Wario was here. Even if the SOUL and hat aren’t here, Naija did ask them to find her winged boots. And they weren’t going to be able to look around while Wario and Waluigi were here.

Then they looked to the door as Wario pointed it out. They could sense the powerful darkness coming from it.

…We are going to need as much help as we can get…

With that thought, and Guile’s words back at the diner came to Frisk. The child now had an idea on how to get help and on how to get Wario away from this room. But the idea made Frisk silently groan. They really didn’t want to! There is a chance that this could go badly considering how much of a dirty cheater Wario is, but it’s worth a shot. Plus the group still had their gas masks, so they should be okay. At least Frisk hoped they’d be okay.

Frisk looked to their group briefly, to show that they had an idea, before turning to face Wario again. They then answered the fat man’s last statement,

You know…He may not be your problem now. But who’s to say he won’t be later?

Frisk continued once they had Wario’s attention,

If we die, Dedede is just going to figure out that you took his gold, and he’ll come after you. Why not help us face him, like you wanted back in the diner? If you help us win, you’ll get the glory along with the gold. Besides, you’re immortal! You really have nothing to lose if you face Dedede!

Frisk was silently hoping that their persuasion will work and Wario would actually listen to reason. The child was hoping that their plan will work…!
