Current No point posting your writing online if you don't care about praise.

Is the rioting and BLM brought up yet?

Honestly, I don't get the grief given to SAO when there's stuff like Mushoku Tensei where the MC actively lusts for underaged girls. And it's the most popular isekai in Japan.

Also, it's kinda annoying going back and forth writing short replies since I got other stuff to do and that just interrupts my rythm.

"Hmph, I think the aesthetic is just fine," she rejected his opinion with a huff.

When she heard him introduce himself like that, her lips curled into a frown. She clearly didn't appreciate his attempt at... whatever that was. Certainly not humor, she held that opinion.

"If you're going to lie, then I suggest doing a better job at it. If you're trying to make a joke, then don't. Clearly, you're not that talented at it," she told him loud and clear.

She couldn't be bothered to introduce herself in kind. She never was fond of being associated with fools.

...What is wrong with this guy?

She now realized that he was far more interested in her staff than her own personage since he continued asking more and more questions about it.

"Hey, you're some sort of a staff enthusiast or something? I see now that you seem to be only interested in my staff. It's not for sale, by the way, if you're thinking about going that route."

"As for your questions, as you might have expected, this was custom-made, specially ordered and crafted according to my specifications. The gem is a rare teal emerald, a wonderful material that could conduct magic really well. It's a mineral mined from the Earth, I believe, if I remember it correctly."

She paused for a bit, giving the large gem a slight rub with her free right hand.

"As for who made it, his name was Abraham, and he apparently is supposed to be one of the best craftsman in the kingdom. Paid quite the generous sum for him to make it."

Myrila's thoughts were rudely interrupted when some random man suddenly came up to her and began asking questions about the staff she was wielding. His attention was fully invested on the staff, not even bothering to look at the owner before he began investigating it all over.

W-what, who is this guy?

She was so taken aback that she was late to reply. Only after he spoke and commented about her staff some more that she retaliated. She lifted her staff and pointed it towards him.

"W-who are you? A-and what do you want? Don't you ever heard of private space?" She glared at him. It wouldn't be the first that some creep decided it would be a good idea to flirt with her out of nowhere.

Pretty much suspected that from the start

Hmm... could it be?
"Hmph, what is taking them so long? I'm getting tired of waiting here."

Myrila huffed as she looked around the crowd for what felt like a millionth time. She had been called here by the king himself, and she assumed that the others were the same. It was an official request, so she couldn't just refuse.

Besides, this whole "legendary hero" business certainly had piqued her interest.

Everybody knew about the legend. About how the four heroes saved the world from destruction. And now, the kingdom had decided to call upon them again.

She wasn't told why. But knowing about the rise in the monster threat lately, she got her hands full of them certainly, she could very well guess why.

That this world once again is heading to its destruction. The so-called "waves" are coming.

She couldn't just accept such a fact however. There must be some kind of mistake, she told herself.

But if it were true, and please gods let it not be true, then she would want to fight, even if she wasn't one of the legendary heroes.

That's why she had no problem chosen as being one of the heroes' companions. She got to choose which hero too.

I'm sure all of them would be courageous and honorable so anyone should do.

But still, I would prefer serving the best amongst them to be sure.

She crossed her legs as she stood slouched with her back pushing to the wall behind her. She preferred to keep to herself, especially around strangers. None of the people here really interested her enough for her to start a chat with them.

"Hmm? Is that girl... a demihuman? How rare to see one that is not a slave. And she's actually invited as well?"

She saw a glimpse of her ears under her cloak. And it made her stare at her really closely as her nature attracted her attention.
I'm interested, but I know barely anything about playing Pathfinder or DnD. I only have played the NWN games.
