And back I am. Exhausted, certainly, and may need a while for that to wear off, but I'm once more here to read and even write!

Should have been writing posts. Took part in D&D shenaniganry instead. Got to fix that tomorrow.

There's a lot of backlog here on my end. I'm trying my best to lessen it, but replies might be less frequent for a time. A welcome change from the nothing doing I went through though! Thanks partners!

Bio

I suppose it is about time for me to copypaste fill in some information about myself over here just as well. Only took me a few years to getting around to do it.

I am a married individual in my twenties from the country some people dare claim does not exist. The Finland conspiracy is an old joke, you can stop with it now. Not a native speaker of the English language by any means, though I did begin studying it exceptionally early for our country's standards. I suppose it was some sort of a test case. With that out of the way though, what more should I be saying here...
  • I like being nice to people. If one needs to ask why, well that alone is reason enough.
  • I play and Dungeon Master Dungeons and Dragons, both offline and in the past also over here.
  • I enjoy OOC chatter, be it planning the RP or a more casual exchange (not that RP'ing is that serious). I can make do without, but don't be afraid to talk to me.
  • Whatever the case, I'm here to have fun and hone my writing abilities!
I do think that should about cover it, yes.

Thanks for stopping by I suppose! I do also have a Discord account, but I prefer to start anything RP related on the site. At least with people I don't know from the past, that is! But hey, now if you are a longer time contact of mine and happened to read this, now you know and can ask!

All characters to appear in EH need to go through moderator review. New Bastion is currently quite empty, but if you think you can draw people in to play with you joining here would not be wrong. However, I would personally recommend you to hop on the "bigger" Ecetopia topic and see if you can find friends there :)

Shameless plug, Grug the Oracle needs friends at (a relatively insignificant location, town of) Wesville.
Welcome to the guild, Flamera!

If you are looking for 1x1 roleplays, we have a whole section for them. In case you are not looking for mature content, you would do well to see what those interested in similar things expect from their partners so you don't end up in an uncomfortable situation. Just a heads up, in case it is relevant. If you cannot find what you are looking for, you can always create an interest check of your own. I'm sure you'll find someone interested from the community!

Kay thanks... its probably do to how young i am but thanks anyways. Oh umm... what's a mod by the way?

Mod stands for Moderator. You can find a list of moderators in this Persistent World RP here. It also serves as the "What is this?" topic regarding the RP, so it might help you on its own.
Hold on, is that Msyu as you avatar? Ain't that often I see people that know [C].

Anyhow, back to the actual subject at hand, welcome to the guild! Looks like you are more of a tabletop person, possibly here to look for a group to gather on some external site for weekly games? I'm pretty sure you can gather people for that if I've read that correctly. I would also like to recommend you try Play-by-post tabletop games. They are different, but they can be just as fun!
Dyn listened to Koan tell her story, appreciating the fact she did not needlessly pollute the air near him with weak magic. Her usage of it both annoyed him and made his magic discerning eyes hurt. The story told by the trickster did little to convince him: By this point he had chosen not to trust anything coming out of the trickster's mouth, especially not when it included anything being better than him in any way. Even when it came to being dastardly. There was no creature out there better than a Beholder and he was the epitome of them.

"Hrrrrmmmm... I don't believe you", Dyn declared, a surprise to nobody to be sure. "First of all, you are assuming superiority over something that cannot be trumped. My other point would be that I have not heard of this story before. Any fight of that magnitude would be part of my knowledge. And it isn't." He turned to the rest of the crew around him. "Take what was told with a barrel of salt." He floated away from the trickster, allowing her to keep entertaining those that found themselves drawn to her lies. Even fools needed their fun to keep them content. An unhappy minion made for a disobedient minion.

However, from amidst the drakes emerged a small dinghy, housing two voices the bellowed at those on the deck of the bigger vessel. "Now what in the..." Dyn muttered as they called for a rope to be flung down to them. Really? Just throw a rope at everyone that arrived at the side of their boat. Suuuuure. The beholder peered over the side of the ship, staring at the dwarf and the kobold in the boat. Well, that was something that he had not been expecting to be fair. His eyes darted between the newcomers, the drakes, the wolf, anyone who would appear by his side... well, it was just confusing for anyone with a lesser amount of eyes so lets not get any deeper into that. The most important thing that he did was that he yelled out of the corner of his mouth: "Hey, Jill! Freeloaders on starboard!"

Theodore let the situation develop as he loaded his crossbow with its crank. By the time he had another bolt ready to fly, the Ranger had observed multiple attacks thrown about, both from his allies and the shadows alike, with even the gnome finding the moment to get back into the fray. Good, with this many of the opponents out there, the templar would welcome anyone willing to fight for the light to their side. He could not sit idly by however, so after a quick look at the situation he decided to go for the one shadow between Haemar and Thea, since it was not yet dead.

He sought a better position, not wanting to attempt a trick shot past Cesar since it always had the risk of the man moving unexpectedly and catching his bolt, finding his spot behind the very same stall but about ten feet or so to the side from his earlier position. He set his Slayer's Eye on the shadow between the two of his allies and raised his crossbow. But he hesitated. What if he was to hit either of them? His hands shook for a moment, adding some quite unneeded sway to his weapon. No, that could not happen. He was good enough of a shot to not make such a mistake. Besides, Cesar had trusted him earlier and somehow the words of the bard filled him with confidence. He took his shot, but it did not exactly go as had been hoped...

While his aim was true on its own, the sway that had existed momentarily had somehow managed to move the bolt a bit to the side, thus causing the shot to head just a bit to the right. Darn. Well, you cannot get them all. It was close though, and given how little these creatures showed in the way of pain, Theodore could not actually be sure whether he had hit them or not.

It was done. The defenders of Greenest were now just a little wiser and the dead body of a once fanatic cultist hung limply in the chains that had restrained her. None of the heroes showed interest in letting the corpse down, so it was left behind as they split, Orchid leaving for yet another nap while the others went after governor Nighthill and sergeant Longwater. It was no surprise to hear from the few guards keeping order around that they had headed towards the roof of the keep once again: It seemed as if that was the spot the governor preferred to be in during this raid.

The arrival of Brannor, Torus and possibly Parum seemed to interrupt a discussion between the two men, but as they noticed who the newcomers were, Longwater waved them closer. It seemed that they didn't mind their presence, perhaps even preferring it to the absence. "Where might the rest of you be? I would have thought you all would be interested in sharing your opinions on this matter.Well, nevermind that, their loss..." the guard sergeant asked and replied.

"Truly, I had also expected more of you, even if I did not specifically request you to join us. You have already shown initiative to head out there... Escobert told me that much. It was a risky move, but the knowledge we gained for it may well have been worth it. But what do we do with said knowledge? I've already shared my thoughts with sergeant Longwater here... what would you say?" the governor greeted them in turn, getting straight to the point.

May I request you remove the parts of David seeing the cult base camp and following a conversation with the dragon? Unless he is lying of course, but things like that should be discussed with me beforehand... I cannot comment on whether they were close to the truth or not, but I would like to see them removed.
Kenza pulling out her shield to protect her made the gargoyle on top of her lose its balance, allowing her to shake the quite heavy opponent off her. The one in front of her reacted by firing at her immediately, the shots hurting but luckily none of them striking her in the face. Besides, it felt as if the creatures were losing the potency of their attacks. Good for her, bad for them. She pushed the other one out of her way and simply charged onward. The gargoyles fluttered after her, but as soon as she made it out of this place the sound of their wings began to sound rather distant. Part of it might be that she fell about half a storey. But she was outside and it didn't seem like the gargoyles were following. Before her was a forest of big and old trees. She had indeed made it outside.

As for Mistletoe, she stumbled along in the dark room, finding a window at the other end of it. It was hidden behind a heavy curtain and there was little to no light coming from the outside, but there it was. A quick peek outside showed her a forest on this side of the building, but not much more. Now that there was some light in the room, it became clear that this was some sort of a servant's passageway. An unusual location for a window, but that was the closest thing she could assume this place was. To her right, there was a set of stairs going up, but otherwise there was little she could see.

In Derrick's case, what we can only assume was his soul had decided not to take the advice of the Jailor and fought back. His ethereal hands phased through the black rock of the Jailor and into the blue flames beneath. He could feel the strange fire tickling his hands, but there was no pain accompanying it. The Jailor shuddered and drew back, only to lash out with the shackle in its right hand. And that thing managed to touch and hurt the hunter. "Fight not the inevitable!" the Jailor bellowed, preparing to swing the shackle in its left hand, but its aim seemed to be at something other than the hunter himself...
