Hello all. I am an experienced writer who is writing my own fiction stories on the side. I can role play any genre. What I love most is being able to go-all-out when weaving tales with other writers. It just makes the story more interesting, so I can't wait to write with you. :)

@LmpkioI foresee Mario and Bowser getting into a fight because Mario when he arrives a little late is going to automatically think that it was Bowser who was up to no good. The lizard set himself up for the misunderstanding lol.
Coch Talesin

Location: Cliff --> Group

This wasn’t a good start to his day. His alarm had failed to go off and now he was running to hopefully make up for lost time. Who was he kidding? Ozpin seemed like too strict of a guy to allow for such an excuse to fly, and then he would have to try again next year. Closing his eyes, Coch forced the negative thoughts from his mind. No; he had to believe that he could still make it. With one hand gripping the neck of his Stratocaster, and the other balled into a fist and swinging to power his stride, Coch saw the cliff opening just ahead and halted in his sprint when he saw a student levitate into the air. Grass ground and rolled beneath the soles of his boots until he stopped, his golden eyes gazing wide-eyed at the robed stranger. The man’s hand was outstretched to the student and he saw that not too far from him was the body of Glynda Goodwitch.

Coch’s eyes were wide in fear and confusion. What was going on? The student began bending backwards in a manner that the human body wasn’t meant to go. He saw that the robed man’s hand seemed to be controlling her. The guitarist’s hand went to his mouth in horror as he muted the sound around him. He started back-stepping, tripping over a root in his anxiety. He was able to recover his footing without falling or losing concentration. The screams…the girl was screaming in her suffering. Oh god; why was this happening?

The guitarist looked away and ran before the girl snapped in half. He knew it was coming and he couldn’t bear to watch it happen. He slapped tree branches out of his face and tore through bushes in his fright until a log tripped him up, sending him flying a few feet to land face-down in the dirt. Panting, the guitarist coughed as dust rose into his face. He needed that trip. It had been the only thing to snap him out of his panic.

Whot kinda’ test iz this? They killin’ us fo’ runnin’? he mused. Who had that robed teacher been? If it had been a teacher…He was still shaking from what he had seen when a devilish scream and human-like wail of a frightening beast tore through the sky above. Coch rolled onto his back with his guitar across his body protectively as he gazed through the boughs at the blue sky.

Whot iz goin’ on ‘ere! he mentally screamed. First murder and now monsters. It hadn’t sounded like any Grim he had ever heard before. The whole test was a slaughter-fest!

Coch sat up, his legs crossing before him. He rested his head against the neck of his guitar and closed his eyes as he descended into battle with his conscience. He could run away. He didn’t have to put up with this. He still had a life and a musical career to live out. But there were still students out there weren’t there? What if they were being slaughtered by the nightmares in that exam? They were probably feeling the same terror he was feeling at that moment, and they probably didn’t even know about the fate that awaited them if they were to return to the cliffs.

Ah gotta go to’em. They don’ even know. Ah kin’t jus’ leave’em to die, Coch decided as he rose to his feet. Swinging his guitar onto his shoulder, his brows crashed together in a frown as he mentally beat himself for changing his mind. Shaking off the last of his regret, he raced back toward the cliffs, but he took a detour that would allow him to safely take a slope down the mountainside.

As he ran to the aid of who knows what—they could have all been dead already!—he noticed that there weren’t many Grim in the area. Could they have fled when they felt the presence of the unknown grim?

Falthon Battle Theme

A guitar vibrated from the forest, filling the air with a stimulating power. The instrument howled, hovering over the heads and surrounding those students who stood about the grotesque enemy. It destroyed their weakness, invigorating them with an energy that they just wanted to unleash. The tune then became more vigorous with an energetic shred. Stepping out of the treeline was a red-haired guitarist. He stopped right on the edge of the clearing, bent slightly over and banging his head to his jam. He didn’t explain why he was there. He didn’t introduce himself for there was no time. All he did was sing and imbue the team with his rock presence:

Smashing through the boundaries,
Storming through the burning fields,
Stand before the evil one, on toward the molten sun,
Falling under skies of pai~n!

@JensomanI would go ahead and start recruiting three more people just in case.
I'll get a post up to this tomorrow. I'm going to bed.
Hm...I feel like this game was too much for people.
@Rune_AlchemistWell, you either purposefully skipped my character in your opinions or you just had no comments to give. But seeing as Nerine can't make what is destroyed you said? She only grows things and thus can't grow things from nothing? I was thinking that based on how Kalik's destructive powers work in the cycle of life, if she ever needed something removed, she could always ask (he could help her landscape I suppose lol). Usually, a forest fire allows for brand new life, and thus is what I'm getting at.

The Mushroom Kingdom was going to hell in a handbasket and not just because of the rampage the insignificant little egg was waging against him. No; there were more important issues popping up such as the army of goblins and octoroks, and the…

Mario glanced in the direction of the castle. His dark brows were raised high upon his forehead as he immediately recognized the scream. It was Princess Peach! Was it Bowser again? The plumber scowled dangerously, appearing as serious as he had ever been so far.

That’s probably the princess. Ya might wanna check that out buddy.

“You don’t hafta' tell me twice,” Mario muttered to the thief. Whatever issues they had between each other were temporarily resolved with the appearance of the new threat. And if he wanted to go about saving the princess from Bowser, then he needed to get rid of Jr. Troopa.

As the egg went flying toward him, Mario thrust out his hand to catch the egg like a ball in the palm of his hand. He bore his teeth for he felt the impact sting and make his entire hand go numb. He brought the egg between both of his hands, keeping Jr. Troopa trapped in his own shell.

“Hey, do me a favor will ya?” he called to Bonnie. “Batter up!”

Turning sideways, Mario stood in a pitcher’s stance as he drew back the egg, raised his leg, and throwing his strength into the pitch, sent the shell spinning in a screwball toward Bonnie. If that shy girl was as good as she seemed with a bat, then he was expecting a home run.

If she managed to pull it off, then Mario would sprint for the castle.

CLOTHING STYLE

Coch wears casual clothes: tanks, T-shirts, and denim. In colder climates, he sports a black coat with a faux-fur collar. He’ll wear shoes from Chuck Taylors to combat boots. Two small silver loop earrings line the shells of each of his ears and slung across his back is his red Stratocaster guitar.

COMBAT

WEAPON

The Stratocaster is just as much a weapon as it is a musical instrument. The weapon acts as an amp for Coch’s semblance. Its whammy bar allows him to control the brutality of the waves by controlling the wave patterns. Next to the whammy bar is a chamber for loading dust capsules. The two dust capsules that Coch uses are Fire and Lightning.

Now, there’s a secret story behind Coch’s Stratocaster and its design. While most will only see it used as an amp, it has a secondary form. Originally, the Stratocaster was a rifle designed by the Atlesian military and gifted to him by his father. It still contains those functions, those functions being similar to a M16A2 rifle. The dust capsules are rounds fed into the chamber, and the whammy bar much like a bolt-action charging handle. With the guitar’s jagged electric guitar edges, it also functions as a battle ax and its wide base a shield for blocking attacks.

SEMBLANCE

Coch’s semblance grants him the ability to manipulate sound. When paired with his Stratocaster, his voice becomes a deadly weapon enabling him to produce decibels of destruction. His sound abilities when combined with his singing abilities can be used to empower himself and others, getting the team pumped to fight by raising their strength, speed, and durability for the duration of his jam. He can mute an entire room and throw his voice a great distance. As long as whoever he is trying to communicate with is within visual distance, they will hear him clearly even if he threw a whisper. An assault from Coch’s sound abilities can cause enemies to suffer disorienting, nauseating, and if directly under the bombardments of his sound vibrations—death. With his whammy bar, he can create vibrating patterns erratic enough to create a sound barrier for himself or anyone he is protecting as long as he is standing within arms’ reach of the person.

SKILLS

Most students will see Coch in a support role, shredding on his guitar and empowering his teammates with energizing power metal. He will take down lesser mobs with the AOE abilities granted by his Dust and Semblance. What most students don’t know about him is that he was originally a student (soldier is probably the better term if you knew his Dad) of Atlas Academy. When adopting a more combat-related role, Coch is a brutal fighter. He wields his guitar like an ax, and can switch between a melee and ranged role in mid-combat. He can use dust rounds to speed up his movements, change the direction of his movements, or send himself skyward. The base of his guitar can be used as a shield to absorb the blunt strikes or offenses of his opponents.

BACKGROUND

Coch Taliesin was born to Captain Ares and Terpsichore Taliesin. He was raised a military brat planned from birth to follow in his father’s footsteps to one day become an officer in the Atlesian military. His childhood was full of strict discipline and restriction. His mother was a successful singer and songwriter and his primary inspiration. His father frowned on Coch’s artistic hobbies and one day even tore up the music and poems he would write.

When he came of age to attend Atlas Academy, his father gave him a rifle, hoping that the weapon would motivate him to keep on the path he had set for him and to stay at the top of his class. One day, the stress and social pressure just nearly killed Coch and he knew that he had to get away from Atlas, and out from under his father’s thumb.

Coch secretly applied to Beacon Academy under a false name, and when he was accepted, he unceremoniously dropped out of Atlas and went running with a packed bag to his freedom. The Headmaster wasn’t as easily fooled as Coch had thought, knowing exactly who Coch was when he arrived at the school. Nonetheless, the man allowed him to stay. The singer was officially a free man and he didn’t plan on seeing his father ever again for as long as he could help it. He still carried the rifle that he had given him, and out of spite, with time and patience he was able to engineer it into what he felt would have been his father’s worst nightmare. With the weapon named "Stratocaster," Coch not only started his new life as a student at Beacon Academy but his career as a talented and popular musician.

CHARACTER THEME

“Coch” in my character’s first name is Welsh for "Red." “Taliesin” is a bard from Welsh mythology who was renowned for singing at the courts of three Brythonic kings. He was adopted as a child by Elffin, the son of Gwyddno Garanhir, and prophesied the death of Maelgwn Gwynedd by the Yellow Plague. He has been a mythic hero and companion of Bran the Blessed and King Arthur. This will explain Coch's unique Welsh-like accent.

When the bossy girl’s radio crackled with a frantic report, Sol had a feeling that the entire compound was about to be on red alert…over one person it sounded like. The group had left to go confront the problem, leaving the mercenary standing there and contemplating whether he felt like following or not. With the silence filling the room, he sighed lazily and followed after them.

I should get paid for this, he mused.

As he arrived at the compound gate, he saw that the giant knight and doll girl were there, facing a man who was as pale as Slayer. Sol stared at Mithias and blinked, seeming unimpressed.

“You want to stop all operations for one guy?” Sol scoffed.

Whatever. He was outside, which meant only one thing. SMOKE BREAK! Reaching a hand into his pocket, the mercenary removed his box of cigarettes and took a seat on the cement barrier that a few soldiers had taken cover behind and had their rifles peeking over top of. They glanced strangely at Sol as he bit the end of a cigarette and slid it free from its box. With his lips, he rolled it over until it touched the side of his Fuuenken. A gray sliver of smoke ascended into the air before he rolled it back to the opposite corner of his mouth and leisurely watched what the group would do with the guy.
I'll get a post going to get us back into motion. I'm just playing catch up.
