Bio

Greetings,

I am Jb; Briton by birth, roleplayer by my own hand, and lover of literature. I am also an amateur historian, a receiver of a Bachelors degree in Ancient and Medieval History - quite a useless degree, actually - and would like to think that I'm a fair, honest and open guy.

As far as RP'ing goes, I'm pretty open to most things really, all you need to do is ask! :)

So, if you've ever any questions for me, wish to speak about RP's involving myself or run by myself, or simply feel like a chat, don't be afraid to get in touch.

Greetings fellow role players. I’m the new join to this little escapade

Welcome, Lord Adorable! Honoured by your majestic presence.
Okie dokie, if anyone else wants to post then please do so soon, I'll get us on the road to some action within the next day or so. Grazie.
Just to say, I'm not dead just overworked, so I should have a post up tomorrow and we'll get going to our destiny...
Done.
If this 'Malig' thought that she would be driving the Rhino transport when Nergüi had the possibility to do the most exciting thing he had done this mission, she would soon be gravely mistaken; the White Scar used his considerable bulk to half-force his way past the Techpriestess and lump himself into the drivers seat in a matter of moments.

Oh yes, he thought to himself, accessing information within his mind that as an Apothecary one generally did not need, this will do nicely.

Large fingers tapped a number of buttons, while a heavy foot gunned the accelerator in anticipation, Nergüi turning to Malig and requesting that she direct him. He could just as easily have followed on the til of the Chimera, but politeness was a virtue after all.

They had not been moving long when the monotone vocalisations of the Krieger made themselves heard in the APCs interior – he sounded even more bored than usual over the vox, meanwhile Nergüi had been grinning beneath his helmet for the entire ride.

"After the Ork arrival, the tunnel was banned to use outside of vital need. No civilian craft should be here. It would warrant further investigation, given the situation at the Forge."

The Astartes shifted in his seat as the Techpriestess spoke up...then the auspex began to flicker.

Now turning to their apparent leader, the Deathwatch marine gave a small nod to Aviza, “would you like me to check this out? The Martian can take over driving if needs be.” He was already flicking the safety off of his bolter as he spoke, but would not emerge from the vehicle unless he got the go-ahead.

Well...well...well...

The group assembled both on the parchment now safely concealed within his satchel, and standing around like some group of 'olde time' heroes of the past, was certainly one of the most diverse that the Estalian had ever seen in his career; if the Dwarfs didn't murder the singular Elf within a couple of weeks then he would be one surprised cyclops.

Eagerly he fingered through the available contracts from the Guild, hissing and tutting as he did so, discarding some of them with a quick snort or sigh while eyeing others for some time before moving on.

“Ah,” he exclaimed with a grin, “it seemths that I have found something you may like.”

“We shall need to travel north into the Reikwald first, to see a lady known to possess certain abilities though she lives in naught but a hovel.”

Surely this could not be it, he imagined some may be thinking, some that had never travelled the Reikwald before in their short and miserable lives...or lives of privilege, if it came to the Breton or Elf.

“Get some rest, prepare yourselves and your weapons, and meet me outside at exactly five o' clock tomorrow morning. I bid you all bon dia.”

With that he was off, up the stairs of the tavern and out of sight – all equipment and contracts slung beneath one arm – his heavy breath following along with him as he went.

Time for a well deserved rest!

Five O' clock came around faster than most could have anticipated, Severo rising at least an hour before the time and procuring a mount from the seemingly sleepless stableboy; a grim grey sky sat low above the forest and tavern, pregnant clouds swollen with rain threatening to relieve themselves every minute, and the Estalian shivered.
"Rules of engagement, sister? What reception should we expect on the surface? How...ah, 'rustic' are the people of Cekrov?"

"In addition to what the Sisters ask, I have a few minor concerns. First is on the matter of tongue. Do they speak High Gothic, or a Low Gothic dialect? I will do my duty regardless, but if they speak another tongue I best start learning it as soon as I can. Finally, is there any word of our mission? Like this one, it would be preferable if it appeared we were a routine visit, perhaps even if we feigned lack of knowledge that this happened at all."

"Once that is answered and if the last member of our quartet has no questions, I believe we may depart."

Victorine listened patiently, wincing inwardly as the Confessor – perhaps without knowing it – overstepped his own authority. He was correct, they would depart after she answered the questions, but it was not his place to say so.

“The rules of engagement are quite simple, Sister; we shall be posing as a group of travelling ecclesiastical servants touring the sector – giving out blessings, healing the sick, our noble Confessor here preaching sermons and the like, while we have been given permission to use necessary force should it come to it.”

She gave a short chuckle at the next question, “they are suitably backward for agri-denizens; they pay their tithes in foodstuffs, worship the God-Emperor as they should, and inhabit a planet stuck for many years in what the Ancient Terrans would have called an 'industrial era'. Steam powered machines, rudimentary electrical communications and so on. Fortunately for us the capital city is more advanced, and acts as a beacon of Imperial power upon Cekrov.”

Turning to Horacio in a rustle of vestments and creaking of armour, she gave her first smile – exposing two rows of fine white teeth against her darker flesh – it was not a smile that showed much signs of warmth...

“They speak an archaic form of Low Gothic, dear Confessor. Understandable enough, though a little thick in some of the more out-of-the-way hamlets. Learning another tongue entirely shall not be necessary.”

A series of hand gestures notified the group that the time for speaking was over, the time to do the Emperor's work was nearly at hand, and the time to 'mount up' and fly out was imminent.

Transport for the Sisters and accompanying individuals was a modified Cobra-class Destroyer from the local battlefleet, a vessel of nearly fifteen-thousand individuals and altered for swifter warp-travel, reached by a small gun-cutter from the surface of Taniea Primus. It was called The Holy Flame, and had been requisitioned by the Adepta Sororitas only days after its construction and first warp-jump, even bearing upon it the fleur de lys of the Sisterhood.

Upon arrival at the launch platform the party was met by another Sister @LemonZest1337, a towering figure hefting what looked like a heavy bolter, as well as a shorter and distinctly more masculine individual.

Victorine paused, gesturing for the rest of the group to do likewise, some feet away and waited; these newcomers would either come to them and introduce herself or they'd remain at an impasse all day.
@Andromedai I work in fast food, and it's the Easter period, it's not that I won't post - it's that I get up, work, come home and sleep in a near constant cycle.

I'll get a short post up if you like, but it will be short, essentially just saying that I'm still here.
@LemonZest1337 I can make a Discord, and please feel free to add her to the Character tab. :)
