Location: Backseat of the Dancing Queen
Interacting with: @Nallore Olivia, @McHaggis Robin Marshal

Heather was thankful as they pulled up to the creepy house that at least the rain didn't seem like it was trying to drown her anymore.

"So, what is the plan Oli? What are we looking for?" Heather asked, looking at the stranger's car ahead of them. "What if that is a cop?" The thought crossed Heather's mind seconds before she asked. This was technically trespassing, and most assuredly also tampering with an active crime scene.

Heather made a fist with her left hand as a new fear introduced itself to her. What if she was caught and someone figured out what she had done? Had she made sure for certain no one was watching when she had healed the plants? Why had it started now?

"I'll totally pay for your next dinner Oli." She watched Declan run off into the woods. That seemed like a bad idea to her. Had she missed something?

"I don't want to get anything important wet." Heather frowned looking at Dancing Queen. "Declan has a point. You sure you're okay with me getting into the van this wet?"

"Thanks for brunch Oli." Heather blew a kiss to Olivia. Then turned to Finley. "I've seen you around but I'm sorry I don't remember your name."

"I was just about to offer to drive." Heather smiled. "But I'll take a ride in Dancing Queen." Heather offered Miranda her jacket back. "Much appreciated. I'll grab an umbrella out of my trunk, and maybe a flashlight." Heather jogged out to her car, and out of the trunk rooted around for a flashlight and umbrella. She came up short only finding the flashlight. "Guess I'll just be wet today." She sighed to herself and then joined the rest of the group as they gathered at the Dancing queen, holding up her flashlight. A small black maglight that her dad had given her when she first started driving, it was part of her roadside safety kit.

Ill post tonight. I started a new job yesterday, but will have time today to post. But it will be after work.

Interacting with: Pearl (NPC), and a text sent to Alistair @Mchaggis and Theo @MiddleEarthRoze

The text from Theo came in first, so Abby responded. Sounds good. With Alistair's text following shortly after Abby glared at the phone. "Why do you have to make my life so complicated?" She asked rhetorically. Abby took a deep breath and texted Theo again. Open invite to Sly Fox from Alistair at the same time. If you don't want to join, I can meet you after. She added a quick text to Alistair. I'll be there. Might have my cousin with me.

"Pearl. We have lunch plans. At a pub." Abby rolled her eyes. "At least it is Sly Fox."

"What's special about Sly Fox?"

"It is owned by one of our kind. One thing I can give Europe at least is children aren't shunned from establishments like that." Abby grinned and came into the kitchen where Pearl was finishing pouring the hot water into cups with tea bags in them.

"Will you need me then?" Peal asked as she played with her tea bag.

"I think it'd be good to have you there, just in case, besides this involves you too." Abby's phone buzzed. Glancing over told her that something was up. There were several texts and a couple of emails all coming in. "Oh," She sighed deeply. "I'm going to get dressed. It is getting worse. You have got to be kidding me."

"What happened now?" Pearl furrowed her brows in worry.

"Turn on the news. I'll listen while getting ready."

Kaytlin Devlin

Kaytlin let her form go. Her sister and brother-in-law were on their way to work. Travel was a tedium Kaytlin had happily gotten rid of from her life.

She was at the office. A familiar place. She had put it together herself, purchased the curtains, tables, and filing cabinets herself. Kaytlin enjoyed the quiet before her co-founders would arrive. When she was alive, she would turn on the lights and do other menial things. Now, it was a waste of her energy to do that.

They would need a plan. A way to let the Others know they existed, and a way to make it safe for them. Kaytlin wasn't happy about the idea of just opening the doors to strangers, so she would rather have it work by word of mouth. Alistair would be a good point of contact. God knew how many Others he knew. Kaytlin realized how few Others she knew. A few vampires, a handful of ghosts, and an even smaller group of Dhampirs. It was a frustration, but maybe she could increase her social group. That would require socializing. The best person for that job was the fellow ghost, Amara.

"Beat us here again Kaytlin." William joked putting his hat on the coat rack. Kaytlin smiled, humoring him. "Did you solve world hunger while we were coming the tedious way?"

"No, sadly. Though I did come with an idea. It is a terrible one, but it will make a friend of mine very happy."

"Oh?" Evelyn asked. Kaytlin grinned again.

"It is good to see you again Robin. Thank you, Mir." Heather pulled Miranda's jacket over her own. Heather munched on her salad. "I appreciate the invite." She took a sip of her tea. "You know, yeah I'll go with you. I could use something to think about." She dropped her eyes down, glancing at her hands. "I don't know how much help I'll be. I haven't really been doing much lately." Heather took another couple bites of her salad, looking around at those there. "Wow you guys are all here. I haven't seen all of us together in a room not working in ages."

Heather was certain she looked ridiculous. She was soaking wet, but everyone was here. It felt like it had been ages since she had seen any of them. She knew her co-workers would know why she had disappeared at least. The others... well her heart tightened hoping they wouldn't ask, maybe she had been back in town long enough that a rumor about why she had been gone would have made it through town. She needed people right now though.

"Robin! You're in town. I'd hug you, but it looks like I went swimming in my clothes. For some reason, I thought it would be a good idea to water my plants in the rain." She gave a wide smile and glanced at the others gathered. "Sorry if I interrupted, don't let me stop your conversation." She paused, catching herself from saying that she just needed people right now. Today was off to a weird start.

When the waitress came by, she ordered a salad and a tea.

Could she talk to any of them about what happened this morning? She wanted to. Olivia would be the most likely one. Heather felt like she knew her best. For now Heather held her tongue. There was an odd atmosphere to the group. One she couldn't quite put her finger on, everyone seemed sad and uncomfortable. She hoped they weren't uncomfortable because of her.
Abby

Interacting with: Pearl (NPC), and a text sent to Alistair @Mchaggis and Theo @MiddleEarthRoze

Abby tossed her phone between her hands. Pearl paced around the kitchen, a habit from her time as a human. The two of them had gotten into the small home late the night before, rested from their travels and had been up and about early enough to hear the broadcast. Pearl was young enough that she had been turned after the advent of Google, a stock that Abby had been smart enough to invest in on the ground floor (thank god for fake identities).

Pearl understood the science of the internet better than Abby, who picked Pearl's brain regularly on that sort of thing. There was so much to keep up with. Radio and Television were easy enough. Abby liked both of them. The internet though was much bigger and faster. She had found a few websites that she liked such as Tumblr and LJ. Then there were the ones she found annoying, Twitter, Reddit, 4chan. Pearl knew how to deal with those at least.

Between the two of them, they kept a good eye on the internet. It was a useful resource and a lot of the time is how they found young fledgling confused vampires or dhamires. A question to yahoo answers was sometimes answered with a knock at the door. Much more convenient than waiting for something bad to happen and then doing damage control after the fact.

"So much for damage control," Abby said. Pearl started a pot of tea.

Seven-hundred years of trying to prevent just this from happening. Seven-hundred years of pulling vampires from dangerous situations and keeping them from contacting their living family. Seven-hundred years of finding half-breeds forgotten by their sires before things could get out of hand. Seven-hundred years were crashing around Abby. At least it wasn't a vampire's fault, but now they had to do the cleanup.

"I haven't been in London for too long. I don't know which contacts are even still good here. Well other than Alistair. I know there is the prosecutor's office, but I don't know anything about them. Are they human? Do they have Other sympathies?" Abby knew Pearl was listening, despite her not participating in the conversation. That was because Abby thought out loud often, she could keep it in check when needed, but she preferred to talk to someone. "I'm gonna text, Alistair."

She stopped tossing her phone and pulled up the messaging app. "I'm in town. I heard the radio takeover. The Collective is gonna freak. We should meet. What can I do to help? When works for you?" Was Alistair even wanting to get involved? He hadn't been all that active in years. But he knew Edgetoun better than she did. He had his nose in all sorts of business. Alistair always had, and would always be a gossip. She could at least get a temperature check from him.

"I also need to see that cousin of mine." Abby bit her lip and stared at her phone. How long had it been? She typed up "Hey cuz. Long time no see. I'm in town, want to get a drink?"
