Personal Style: Even before Niah's powers were activated she was already sensitive to touch and had issues with a lot of fabrics. As such she has always been picky about her clothing texture (it is the first thing she checks with any new clothes). Then she leans toward modest outfits, though she does enjoy a sundress when the weather is right.

Personality: Niah is friendly, she smiles at new people and tries to make them feel comfortable. She doesn't look at differences between people, she finds common ground and meets people there. Though, she can be a bit too much in her head at times and not realize that the people she is talking to don't understand what she is talking about.
Niah is excitable. If she has an idea, it is the best thing since her last idea. She is careful with it though. Making sure all the i's are dotted, and t's are crossed. She can be obnoxiously cautious when speed would be of the essence. She believes in doing things right the first time rather than fixing mistakes.
She is picky about her food, and clothes. Don't go clothes shopping with her if you don't have the day to devote to it, and somehow she will leave with at most five articles of clothing. With food, she's worse. She won't even go to most restaurants (cleanliness in those places is appalling anyway), but if you go to her place for dinner, you'll have one of the best meals of your life.
Due to recent circumstances, Niah has become prone to not trusting people easily. It takes a lot to get her to trust you now. She is always expecting something bad to happen. For someone who already was slow to 'love' someone this makes the prospect of a future relationship increasingly difficult and new friendships are harder for her to form.
Habits: A jog every morning and she hums "this the song that never ends" when she's doing repetitive tasks, or she is bored when she's upset or nervous she reaches to her neck as if to play with a necklace that no longer exists.

Why did you want to become an Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D.?: Niah was always driven. She wanted to be the "smart" kid after she got over her youthful boredom. When she heard about the program at the Academy for Sci-tech, she had to try her hand at it, and it gave her an opportunity to give back in a way that being in just some random town's lab wouldn't. It was another challenge, one she wouldn't back down from.
General History: Niah was born in Manila; she lived there with her parents and siblings until she was almost ten years old. Her mother's sister sponsored the family moving to the United States. Niah had a hard time adjusting to the new world she lived in, but her parents couldn't indulge her and sent her to a public school.
Niah probably would have flunked out of school because of pure boredom by the time she was going into high school if it hadn't been for a science teacher in middle school. He woke up in her a love for all things STEM, and while she had a hard time deciding which field she loved most, she stuck with the "hard" science side of things. She didn't find the anthropological side of science interesting.
During Niah's senior year of High school (at age 15), her older sister was murdered. Niah and her family broke. She almost didn't finish high school, and she lost out on all the things she had wanted to do that year. It was because of a Forensic Scientist that the killer was caught and brought to justice. Niah decided to study forensic science as a nod to that "hero" in her life. She had a BA in Criminology and Forensic Science with a Minor in Forensic Chemistry, Botony, and Toxicology by the time she could legally vote. It didn't take her much longer to get her Ph.D. in Forensic Science.
Niah joined SHIELD and met Antonie and a few of the other Phase 3 people before she got into Phase 3. She did her best in SHIELD Acadamy and was thankful that Antonie and she were both accepted into Phase 3. Unfortunately, Antonie didn't survive the process. She kept her chin up and tried to succeed within the group that had been formed from the Phase 3 survivors. It began to feel like everyone she started getting attached to died or was a traitor.
Niah followed the group believing that saving the lost members from the Quantum Realm was the right choice. Tragically it led to Ultron. She received hope though in the form of a postcard. Using Psychometry she knew not only had she sent the postcard, but she had time-traveled to do it. Niah became focused on getting back in time and fixing mistakes. They successfully built a time machine and traveled to 1984 where the team confronted Pym. Flynn killed Pym and Dr. Strange put Niah in a time-loop of her own so she could have another chance at fixing the future. She was surprisingly successful after only an additional attempt. In that loop, she also sent a letter to her just married parents begging them to not move to America and hopefully preventing her sister's murder. It worked in that her family didn't move, but instead her sister disappeared literally without a trace.
In the re-written reality created by Wanda Maximoff, Niah had to deal with the emotions of losing her sister twice again. She shattered under the pressure and has asked to be transferred, at least temporarily, off the team.
