Andy was in a good mood, which was wild considering she had been broken up with just a few hours ago. (Yes, she had been considering breaking up with Zari first, but it had felt out of no where coming from Zari.) Still in pj's, though a different set now, a short sleeved top and shorts and no gloves. Andy never wore such things. This was the most skin any of them had seen on her at any one time.

Andy had caught Gideon's look. She might have been the only one. Her cheeks warmed. The idea of kissing someone other than Zari had been foreign to her for months. Not just because they had been dating, but also because her touch had been dangerous. Now that she was free of all of that kissing someone other than stiff Zari sounded interesting. Andy let herself appreciate Gideon, as she did she thought about all of their interactions. They had been on the same original team together and Gideon had flirted with her almost constantly, but Andy had mostly ignored it. With the new sense of freedom she was interested in her. However, the game ideas shifted. At least it was to one Andy knew about.

She hummed thinking over the choices. Of the three Vision was the most complicated, he was in a weird way her ex-brother-in-law. The other two she had little personal ties to. Captain Marvel was the easiest, she'd have sex with her no issue. Andy tapped her chin. Doctor Strange and Vision she didn't have much desire to marry or kill. "Eh, Fuck Captain Marvel," She said. "I suppose marry Doctor Strange and kill Vision." She gave a bit of a shrug. She picked it that way mostly because marrying her ex-brother-in-law seemed really gross.

Clean up started quickly after that. Olivia, the maid who was not a temporary hire, cleaned the stairs of any blood. A terrible choice for keeping a crime scene clean, but current opinion seemed to be that this might have been an unfortunate accident.

Some of the La Lunes passed through the room and were caught up on what happened. Lawrence wasn’t seen. However, George and Nathan spoke quickly with each other. It was revealed that Gordon, the chef, was having no luck contacting the mainland either by cell phone or the ancient landline phone. The storm was still going, if much calmer than it had been the night prior.

It was decided that it was too unsafe for anyone to try to take the boat to the mainland. Nathan decided he didn’t care for that decision, as he was an expert sailor, he took it upon himself. George told him one last thing before he left, and Nathan nodded before leaving.

Felix told everyone to stay away from the foyer for a while. He would bring some breakfast buffet supplies to the guest lounge, and if anyone wanted to leave the house, they could exit through the ballroom. He and Gordon took Renee’s body away.

Ralph was at a loss for words. Several questions had been asked, and he didn’t have answers to any of them. He wanted to go to his room. He wanted to leave. He didn’t know really. Breakfast seemed like a distant idea. A woman he had met yesterday would never have breakfast again. Her last meal was when she had been harassed.

Ralph frowned. Lawrence. Where was he? He hadn’t shown himself. Did he know? Was that why Elenore had left quickly? Was Tony’s assessment sound? Ralph couldn’t know. He paused near Rihannon. ”We don’t know. She seems to have fallen down the stairs and died, but we just don’t know.”

Millicent’s question caused Ralph to shrug. He hadn’t seen Miguel yet this morning. But they had gone to bed late right? Sometime around midnight local time. If anyone else felt as hungover and jetlagged as he did, maybe sensitive stomach Miguel had slept through the scream.

All things considered Andy's sense of dread and the near panic state she lived in constantly since she was eight was not that bad right now. Sure she was worried for Sabine. She liked Sabine. It had taken time though, and Andy had allowed it to happen. She was also in the household of people she had a very awkward relationship with. She didn't want that relationship to get more messed up than it already was. Even if they seemed chill about the whole left to time travel without saying anything thing. It was still going to be a rough bridge to fix. Andy was not ready to have to defend Sabine to the people who lived next door to her dad. As Andy sipped her own milkshake, coffee flavor flowing over her tastebuds, she smiled at the thought of her dad.

With Sabine's return things seemed a bit better. Sabine seemed to be mostly okay. Could she have done anything if James had gotten mad enough to...to what? James was probably the most level headed person she knew. Hell Andy had been the one to awkwardly tell him his roommate was dead...well she hadn't actually told him, she told him to speak with Veil. He hadn't been mad once. He was always the voice of reason. So what was he going to do to a teenager? Andy suspected nothing worse than turning her out, she had a room at the hotel, or maybe telling his son the two of them couldn't be friends anymore. That was going to be basically unenforceable and James knew his child well enough for that. Remove Danni from school? Andy couldn't stop that. She sucked on her straw. It seemed okay. Sabine wasn't being kicked out, which would have been the most basic step for literally any repercussions they'd enforce.

Her shoulders relaxed. God today was a mess. Seeing Magneto again, Zari breaking up with her, a bunch of students being removed from the team, Ser Nemo dying(??), and of course the seance with everything that happened there. How had all of that happened just since four pm?

"Today is scuffed." She sighed leaning back in the seat she had claimed. She almost said, 'hopefully that means tomorrow will be uneventful,' but caught herself and decided to just leave it. Andy didn't consider herself superstitious but it felt like a good time to be. She looked up at Max and considered telling him about her curse, finding a quiet moment to talk to him about it and see if he could fix it. She had promised Eric she would talk to him and James about the sleep walking, but now felt like a really bad time to bring it up. If she found a quiet moment she would, otherwise, she decided, to wait until later. Maybe during winter break. She'd be here anyway, her dad lived next door. She smiled.

It was the giggle that caught her attention. Charlotte looked up and saw the two people. She pursed her lips. Charlotte didn’t begrudge them the ability to find a quiet place to have a tryst. However, she recognized the boy. Several girls had been left in his wake.

She could not allow this poor girl to be damaged by him. Charlotte walked around so she could approach the pair. ”Oh Nigel Keigh this is what you have been doing. This is who you left me for.”

There was a moment’s hesitation as Nigel looked at Charlotte upon her approach. There was a hint of fear in his eyes, quickly replaced by confidence, none of which was earned. “I do not have the slightest idea who you are lass, but I will not take offense. I am certain this is a misunderstanding and you did not mean to interrupt me and Marianne’s time together.”

The woman, meanwhile, glanced between Charlotte and Nigel. Perhaps there was uncertainty there?

”Am I that easy to forget? Just like Sophie and Elizabeth? Oh trust me I know all about it. I saw how broken they are now because of you.” She turns to the girl. ”If you want to know the truth about him, go speak to Mary, she will tell you all about how Nigel will string you along until you are completely ruined. Do not trust him. If you do not want to believe me that is for you to choose, but I suggest doing research on this cad before ruining yourself for him.”

Marianne looked at Charlotte, eyes widening. “I…I heard, but I never thought,” Nigel interrupted her, putting himself between Charlotte and Marianne. “Now, there is no need to go spreading vicious rumors without evidence. It appears to be my word against yours and, well, who is going to believe you over me? Now,” he said, grabbing Marianne by her wrist, “Let us go elsewhere.”

Charlotte sighed, ”Poor girl,” She said mostly under her breath. She hoped the woman would start to doubt Nigel and get free of him. Men using women like Nigel did was not why she preferred the company of women, but it certainly was a bonus for her. She would never fall for a cad like him. Never be ruined by one of them.

Chaos had spread. As soon as the doors to the rooms opened and the guests had spilled out a lot of yelling started. First was Brendan. His concern was for Felix specifically. Brendan was unaware of what had happened. He hadn’t made it down the hall yet, hadn’t seen the body at the bottom of the stairs. As he called for Felix, the butler showed the first sign of distress. It came from a place of wanting to protect. Seeing a dead body was not a pleasant experience, and he hadn’t covered the body yet.

“I am fine. If you are not Dr. Stronzetto, please stay upstairs. Either in your rooms or the lounge upstairs. You may go through the rooms on the right side, but please do not enter the Plum room. Or you may go through the ballroom. I will bring you some breakfast.” Felix was gesturing; however, most could not see him do that.

Ralph met Millicent’s eyes, fear, panic, and a bit of something else that Millicent wasn’t sure about were in his eyes. He gave a slight shrug to her question. He backed up so that he was standing in the entrance to the ballroom, but he didn’t move to head into the lounge.

The current obvious issue was that Renee was at the bottom of the main stairs, down to the first floor. Ralph knew that the ballroom had a staircase from the mezzanine to the first floor, but that was the only other staircase that he was aware of. Even the,n he didn’t know how to get to the dining room without going through the foyer.

Elenore had reached the bottom of the stairs and moved out of Ralph’s vision. A few moments later, she returned and handed Felix a sheet. He held it, waiting for Tony.
