Another Hex Girl was gone from the fight. She grinned. They outnumbered the Hex Girls now. Danni was back from the stands, the fight was becoming a brawl. She was alright with that. They needed to take down more of the team, and fast. At least it seemed like those left weren't going to take damage easily. She wished she had a way to protect her team. They were focusing fire and that was working.

Speaking of fire, she side stepped some from Thuy. Andy used the momentum from her dodge, following up on Leah's attack. Lightening crackled around her slamming into Thuy. Andy hoped they'd be able to take her out of the fight this time. They had other people to fight. If they weren't careful they'd lose someone from their side again.

The staff had left the lounge. The smell of breakfast still lingered, breads, fruit, and drinks were still arrayed for anyone who desired them. Supposedly later it would all be cleaned up. In the lounge a few of the nominees were left, awkward and uncertain about how to proceed. They all knew secrets and clearly wanted to talk about it, but were nervous about talking about it. This nervousness was from a degree of paranoia. Someone knew their dark secrets. Who and how that person knew about their secrets the gathered nominees didn’t know.

Ralph was fully confused. Thankfully Rhiannon asked one of the questions that bothered him. What in the world was Sam talking about? Also, the doctor wanted them to all go outside, around noon. Maybe if they all took a walk they could talk openly about the blackmail, and what he and Rhiannon had learned.

Ralph rubbed his forehead. Maybe that was the point. Was there more concern about if the house was safe for such conversations? He had been circumspect because of the presence of staff and he didn’t know if they were trustworthy. He imagined someone hiding in the walls and listening through paintings or something.

”Truely lucky indeed.” Finley caressed Dysphoria with one hand and sat on their bed cross-legged.

Finley smiled as the brothers entered the room. Oh, this year will be much better. Finley did not have any issues with their prior roommates, but having people that they actually liked as roommates made the upcoming year much more pleasant looking.

”Interesting.” Finley raised an eyebrow sitting down on the edge of their bed. ”I am looking forward to a private party after the main event.” They winked. Callaghan was a delight to flirt, tease, and many other things with, if tonight was going to include a small group party Finley would have to make sure to wear something interesting to take off.

”I have been put in with a strange coven. They are all crafters of one type or another. I do not know the young woman’s name or abilities. She is very quiet, unless you get her talking about something she’s interested in. The other two are known factors, Rohan and Franklin. Do you need assistance with anything?”

”Hello Willow. I am Connie.” Connie was smiling as the strange and tall woman entered the room. Willow had a giant moth with her too. Connie was interested in the creature, she assumed it was a familiar of sorts.

A card had slid under the door and was now laying a couple of feet from it. Connie bounced up from her bed and grabbed the card.

”Seems the Mcloud twins have decided to send invites to everyone.” She read off the invite for the others' benefits. Part of her already preparing to deal with helping Jake.

”The Haven is nice. I’ve been a couple of times. The bartender will provide non-alcoholic drinks if you prefer.” She always got non-alcoholic drinks when she attended any of the twins' functions there.

”If you are uncomfortable about things of a sexual nature do not fret too much. Anything that happens in the public areas are kept within reason and general proprietary. At least in my experience." This might have been because the twins were aware that Connie had zero interest in anything like that, or it was because it was the standard rule. She had reason enough to believe it was the latter.

Connie was often asked to help new students become used to the school. Sometimes officially and sometimes when there was a question that another student didn’t know. She had walked most students through their first few days and was used to giving speeches about the school, so she gave these bits of advice without any prompting.

Ben had just settled into his new seat, free from the popcorn boy and hot dog girl. Hopefully, the flies would annoy them into leaving. Ben was just considering the merits of keeping a swarm of flies and other bugs that people tried to avoid around him when, from the pitch, came flying toward him a fireball.

He threw up his arms trying to protect the core of his body. The fire was extinguished just in time, and a boy, just a bit older than him, stood where he had almost crashed into him. Ben let out a small sigh of relief, definitely just relief, nothing else.

"Your fight is down there, not here." He pointed down at the pitch where the fight was going. Both blonde girls were gone. "Your water user and the other blonde are gone. If you're missing too..." He trailed off, unsure of how to end that sentence. Did his team need the fire user? He certainly put out a lot of damage. Ben didn't want to fight him. But Ben was better at hand-to-hand in complex spaces, spaces that he could use to his advantage. This pitch was flat, except where the earth manipulator had changed the terrain.

April was down. Sabine was down. But two of the Hex Girls were down too. It wasn't great. Andy was annoyed. Losing April, who could shield others, was not great. Losing Sabine was potentially worse, as she had been boosting the others. Andy couldn't have helped them, and she hated that. As much training as they had done in their groups, the team as it stood now had never worked together before today. There were too many rough spots. Hopefully, Danni would be back from wherever his flames had dumped him soon; they needed his damage.

Tatiana attacked with blinding speed. Andy reflexively sent lightning pulsing through her two quick staccato beats, despite feeling the battering from Tatiana; the lightning had cushioned it. Andy wasn't a speedster, but her reflexes could rival one. The Hex Girls continued to banter, and Andy ignored it all. She had nothing to say to them. Her fists said all that was needed to be said.

Andy punched out at Thuy, with lightning crackling along the metal studs. It was a bright burst of energy, and she braced herself for Tatiana to take advantage of Andy's open side. It would take more than one person attacking her at a time to hurt her. She was confident in that. Hopefully, this fight would not come down to that.

Now that all of the guests had eaten, Gordon packed up his station. The pair of staff members left behind some of the food and drinks. They’d come back for it later, maybe after lunch. Juliane made sure what was left was full and well-stocked. She intentionally passed Sam, “I have a break at 11, I’ll come to your room,” she said, whispering so Gordon couldn’t hear her. Ralph raised an eyebrow.

Ralph sat down near Sam. ”The stuff about the history of the place?” Ralph asked, confused. He winced a little as Rhi snapped at Sam. ”Hey, come on, sit down. I know you don’t want to, but eat. If you don’t, you’ll make yourself sick.” Ralph set down his mug of coffee and held out his hand, offering Rhi the empty seat near him.

”I think everyone agrees that we need to find out what happened. I don’t know if any of us wants to let this go unanswered. If this wasn’t an accident, I don’t want to be here with someone who would do that.”

Finley wrinkled her nose as the unnamed woman explained she used iron. Gross. She was thankful for the change of conversation. ”Ah yes.” Finley held up their key. ”My room is delightfully apt for me.” She winked. Finley didn’t technically have wings. Her type of fae was not a kind that could fly. However, many still associated fae with wings and flight.

Rohan had already left. Fin started walking. While searching for their room, they glared at an iron door. It radiated the poison like heat; they hurried past it, refusing to touch it even to test their key. Fin figured if the system that had given them the key was smart enough to make sure her key had not been iron, the door surely would not be. One door, as Fin approached, shifted from the hated metal into wood. It no longer held the aura of pain. Finley smiled and tried their key. If the door was being so obliging, it was likely their room.

Upon entering their room, Fin removed a bag that had been under an illusion. From the bag, Fin removed their bread maker and several other items, setting them on the desk or in the wardrobe as appropriate. The only items that went on the bed were two blankets. Both had been crocheted. One was cotton candy colors. The other was an ombre of pink and blue with white and black accents, the coloring clearly matching Dysphoria.

Connie pinched the bridge of her nose. She would make it through this semester. She would. She was determined to. A few deep breaths, and she lifted her head.

”Yes, I know how to read. If you need assistance learning, I can help.” Maybe she was too helpful. But it might explain a bit about Jake. If he couldn’t read...Connie had a lot of questions. How had he ended up here, was a big one.

”Pedro, let’s go find our room. I know where the hall is, but I don’t know which room is ours. Hopefully, our third roommate will be the pleasant sort. Jake, I'll help you find your room, too.” She smiled and left the Hall. Figuring Jake and Pedro would follow her. She’d help Jake find his room, too. Of the three other members in her coven, Pedro seemed like he would be the easiest to live with.

Connie tried her key on each of the doors until she found the one that it worked on. She also encouraged Jake to try his key.

Upon entering her room, she let out a little sigh of relief. She placed her hand on the bed and said the name of her previous room, ”Please take the setup from there and switch it here.” The area shimmered and changed. Her wardrobe was now full of her clothing, and her desk had documents and a laptop. The bed sheets had changed into a set with constellations. Connie smiled and sat down on the bed, watching Pedro and waiting for their third roommate.
Eva Moore

Eva's head spun a little with the revelation that the girl, Andy, had time-traveled with someone from a different universe or something. She squeezed Val's hand gently. Reassuring her that she was not alone. She had more questions, but figured they didn't matter except to sate her curiosity.

Matt Moss

Matt froze. What happened to Maria? Had he missed something? No one had mentioned her being sick, hurt, or dead in any of the relatively quiet group chats they had. The slow drifting apart of the Secret Warriors was no surprise. He couldn't lie to himself about that. They had all drifted off to various corners of the world, or multiverse in some cases. Matt and Cass had, in the end, not worked out.

"Without?" He asked gently. "I know I said I wouldn't pry, so if you don't want to talk about it, I won't make you. Is there a way I could help?" Matt tracked Ben's movement from one seat to another and sighed a little, sad to see that Ben was rejecting the people who had at least seemed interested in talking to him.

Nope. He was done with this group of weird ass people. He mentally called for the nearest bugs he could find as he stood up and stepped over the seat in front of him to take one from that row instead of being squished next to someone he didn't know. That somehow, some other random person he didn't know was thinking he was dating. That was fucking weird.

A few flies circled the area, diving at the pair of them as he slumped into the new seat. They were only flies, but it made him feel a bit better. He didn't even bother responding to the new chick(?) who showed up. He just sat down in the new seat and crossed his arms, acting like he was trying to watch the match. At this point, he didn't even really know what was going on and had lost track of several of the people who had been on the field. Where was the blonde girl?

Andy wasn't certain how April was still standing, especially since Sabine collapsed. Damn. This was going to be a problem very quickly. Andy didn't want to do the math; she wasn't overly fond of math anyway. But it wasn't looking great if they didn't take down more of the Hex Girls faster than they could take them down. She needed to do something and fast. Danni called to hit Thelma, who was not looking totally put together at the moment, and Leah had called for her to follow. She did. Running after, and then past, interposing herself dangerously between Thelma and Thuy.

Andy did a spinning kick, first at Thelma and then at Thuy. Lightning arcing from her foot, speeding to both of them in turn. She hoped that splitting her focus would force the Hex Girls to split theirs, and maybe Thelma would go down because of it. She knew she had to be ready for a retaliatory attack. Just because no one had gone for her yet didn't mean they wouldn't, especially after this little stunt.
