Asgard

"Blood washes blood... blood washes blood... blood... washes... B.L.O.O.D..." Eleonor mumbled the grim words from Vladimir as the chaos ensued around her. When the fresh blood of the prisoners Cyrin had slain touched her, Eleonor finally snapped back to reality, or... had she not?

Blast of magic flew everywhere the demon knight besides her destroyed the scaffold, allowing most prisoners to try to run and people were dying left and right for no cause at all. Was this all within the Imperator's plans? It must have been, at least the possibility of it happening. If not the Imperator, then the Jester, Nifilheim, Yggdrasil, Midgard, one of them must have known of it and even then... they let it happen.

How better it makes the Imperium? Isn't it the same as the time when they sent Eleonor's squad to their near deaths on Warovia? If that never happened this nightmare could have been avoided as well. And Fei...

"Only blood can wash blood..." Eleonor whispered summoning her tome into existence. As she did so, the blood began to gather around her and levitate off the ground, forming numerous spear-like crimson spikes. "However, I'm not like them..." With that said Eleonor's stoic complexion returned and as she commanded her tome to shoot out the bloody lances that earned the Impaler his dreadful title, Eleonor was once again the Nemesis of the Imperium, the one who delivers judgment be it to men or the gods.

The spears impaled both the fugitive prisoners, the demon knight and the insane doll, the wounds draining them rapidly of their very life blood. The humans died instantly, but the doll managed to jump away from the roof, not very much afflicted by the attack since she wasn't even alive in the first place. She made a break for it with a huge flare bomb that blinded all in the square for enough time for it to escape. If the demon was smart, he would catch the cue as well.

As soon as the foes were dealt with, Eleonor raised her voice speaking with enough authority to break through the commotion "End this riot immediately and go back to your homes. I'm declaring a city wide curfew, whoever is found wandering the city streets from now until daybreak will be taken to prosecution. Those under my jurisdiction are commanded to spread the word around the city, the deadline for for the curfew is two hours from now. Dismissed."

Eleonor then turned to Cyrin and said "I'm obliged to thank you , Cyrin Val. You have done your job maintaining order when even I have failed. But sure that this event will not go unrewarded." And finally, she went to fetch Fei's "body" only to find that it wasn't real, when she touched its skin and felt how it wasn't anything like her daughter's and under her clothes grotesque seam lines held the body together.

Never before Eleonor felt so much relief and at the same time self-loathing, for believing in such a dirty trick, however, she still feared that Emilia could try something against Fei, o Eleonor went to the only one that could cover the whole city in an instant if he wanted to, Midgard, and asked them "Can you do me a favor, Midgard? My daughter is still out there and I fear that she might become a target for the Librarians. Can you send a couple of you to escort her back home? Also, if you find her friends, bring them as well, since they might be secondary targets. I will be in your debt."

Linea & Sienna

"You should be more careful, you won't be able to detect the traps on this tunnel like that." Linea said to Meihou, and as if a testament of what she said, Meihou' tail was almost burned by a laser that came out of nowhere. The smell of charred hair being a little remainder that they were entering in the Imperator's own residence, treating this like a game would result in not so much healthy consequences.

"Though, I guess it's to be expected. Now, watch this..." Sienna said as she produced a bag full of glass beads and threw then at the area with the laser trap, after tellng Meihou to stay away. A moment later, the laser began to shoot like crazy and be deflected by the beads, hitting the walls randomly until the whole trap had destroyed itself.

Proceeding throught the tunnel, they faced a series of traps, but thanks to everyone's efforts they managed to overcome the deadly dungeon, getting to the heart of the palace's underground where a giant sinkhole bloked their path. A side walk around the dark pit was the only passage, but as soon as they came in...

"Fff... When I thought that I have heard something coming from the sewers, I should have expected to find a group of rats." said the same old gentleman that reprimanded the soldiers of Jessi's squad a couple hours ago. "Now, how's it that I should deal with you?" He had a wicked grin under the lowered brim of his hat as is devising the best method to dealing with the quartet of invaders.

"Well then..." The old man sighed as powerful mercury colored beams of concentrated magic shot from behind him, targeting eachh of their hearts, clearly, he wasn't going to go easy on them from the looks of it...

"Damn, I never thought that we would run into oppositon here. This tunnel isn't even guarded normally." Sienna complained as she dove out of the path of her beam and to her sister's side.

"Azzas!" Linea shouted drawing her rapier and using it to inscribe a rune in the stone before her, causing a wall of rockrise and block the attack launched at her. "Misjudged assumptions are hardly a novelty when they come from you, onee-sama." The young mage said, as she moed to cover her sister's back.

"Well, I never heard you alerting us either, Linea."

"Because, as long as we are together, we can overcome anything, even onee-sama's blunders."

"You know what? Let's shut up and kick ass."

"Likewise."

With their discussion finished, the twins got ready for battle, just as the old man shot them all an amused grim, waiting to see how Sierra and Meihou would fare against the weak, but lethal attack.

Ok, I'm back alive, people. Expect a post coming in no more than an hour or so.

Now, to put my opinion under the recent discussion. I'd say that it's a complicated matter, Inter-Service Rivalry is expect and obvious when you have different groups that work under a same cause, but all have structures that are completely independent one from another.

The thing is more grievous when said forces have partially overlapping jurisdictions like is the case with the Knights of Ragnarok. When the heads had a clear attrition between them (as is their case), things get even more complicate and the final arbiter of any problem should always be the Imperator.

But in terms of duties, I'd say that (about my two divisions at least):

- The Platinum Knights: Work as a secret police on the molds of KGB and Gestapo, though, considering this, they have a considerable military force based on groups like Spetsnaz and the SS. However, there's a big difference between them and the others in that they are blind loyal to the Imperator, not the Imperium, not the people, but only to her.

- The Crimson Knights: They work as the judiciary power of the state and, like I said before, I'm mostly ripping them off the Judges from FFXII and from Dredd, so they have their own military structure as well, however it's geared towards serving as sheriffs wherever they are needed. The actual judges are few, but they have many low ranked soldiers to support their work. Technically speaking their loyalty lies with Law, so they are required to be ready to punish any, even comrades from other divisions in case they are convicted of crimes. And a verdict from a judge should not be contested by anyone other than a judge of higher standing, or the Imperator.
Argh, I can't believe it. I must be the most unlucky person ever.

I finally get a Sunday off and then I can't use my home internet, because some dude decided that today was a good day for maintenance.

Curse this f*cking luck.
@TheWindel

Nice, nice, now thing are getting more interesting. I can't wait to see both Eris' and Yoshino's reaction when they come face to face with one another.

Also, Maribel literally came out of the blue and said: "Hey, kiddos, quit your addiction and let's go out." How can Yuuno resist a command from her Titania-sama?
Hmm... with Windel bailing out and the others not giving any signs of life, I'm going to call it quits as well. At least until the RP moves forward again, 'cause I don't wanna this to become a 1x1.

Sorry, but with no one else I really don't have a choice. That's why I warned you about splitting the players too much.

My apologies,

Farewell.

It is alive!

After a forced hiatus, we are moving forward again, hopefully. I've set up this post to allow everyone to wrap things up, and on my next post (around Sunday), I'll move us a week further in the RP time.

Sorry for the delay... again.

See ya!
*OOC: Screw with those intros, let's move forward.

Akane

"Akane"

—Right after the battle with "The Chariot"—

"Oh, Kuroshin, I'm glad you are alright (not that I thought that you would be injured to begin with)." Akane said as Reika found herself inside the clock tower along with a handful of newbies. When inquired about Owari, Akane replied "You know Owarin, don't cha? She's always the last one to arrive. In fact, it wouldn't surprise me if she didn't showed at all."

"Anyway..." Akane said turning to the newcomers with a shrewed smile in her lips, looking every inch the famed honor student that she was suppose to be "I'm sorry for being rude," Akane gave a light bow as a way of apologizing, before continuing her self-introduction "I'm Chinatsu Akane, nice to meet y'all." Akane talked freely to the other girls, sometimes slipping into her quirky usage of the Kansai dialect, as she invited them to have a seat and partake on the tea (not revealing that it was "borrowed" from the Council' stash) and sweets.

"Well, I guess you could say that maintaining this place is sort of a hobby for me. Of course you're all invited to make visit wherever you want to." Akane replied to Delia on ce other girl inquired her about the clock room.

The light-hearted moment lasted little, sadly as soon enough Chikage came in, carrying an unconscious Reiko in her arms and asking for help, to which Akane replied by showing them to a nearby sofa. After a few seconds spent to analyze the situation, Akane sighed relieved. "Don't worry, it's just exhaustion, she should be well after sleeping for a while. Even then, that's quite strange. If I didn't knew better, I would say that her magic power was drained to the point of canceling her transformation... but that's impossible is it not?"

Then, came Enjuu, promptly planting her face on the floor because of a failed attempt to get back to her normal appearance. "Gosh, are you alright?" Akane said as she moved to help Enjuu back to her feet and into one of the chair "You should be more careful, a girl's face is one of her treasures, you can't risk hurting it. Then again, it's not your fault, the first time is the hardest, after all." Akane said so while throwing a knowing look at Reika. Certainly, the younger girls might not get it, but a double entendre now and then isn't so bad, is it?

Turning back to Enjuu, Akane said "If you are having trouble trying to change back, you should just relax. The tea and the sweets are here for that, take you time and even if that doesn't work..." Akane summoned a few dancing crystal blades floating over her extended hand, before passing them to Enjuu "I can entertain you with a few cantrips, or would you prefer a genuine Osakan comedy routine?"

Taking her place at the table (marked by a rather expensive looking Baroque armchair), Akane cleared her throat loudly to get everyone's attention and said "Anyway, now that everyone (save Owarin) is here, we can begin our after school tea time," clasping her hands and cocking her head while giving off a warm smile. "I bet ya'll have questions to ask. So, who wanna go first?"

I see that things seem to be escalating pretty quickly (which was exactly Emilia's intention ). I'll read the IC later and post between tonight and Sunday morning.

Now, talking about Yggdrasil's power. The best way to put it is by using Fate/Stay Night's Noble Phantasms as a comparison. His full power swings are about as powerful as an Anti-Fortress NP. That means that a single hit can vaporize a castle and a thousands strong army in seconds. Which makes it completely impossible to use inside the city, unless he wanted to obliterate the half of it in his considerable range.

Indeed, he has no versatility at all, just brute force and endurance, but whenever I do a NPC like him I follow this to the heart:

"When brute force goes past a certain point, technique has no meaning at all."

Ah okay. Who?

This one:

Its not much better than that. -yells like chibi shana- urusai baka!

*Stares disapprovingly, like Hecate-tan*

@Caits

I'll be waiting. I'm dying to see Cassie's reaction to that side of Eris. I've finally remembered which character has more to do with her personality in the academy. It's a certain Flame-Eyed Burning Haired Hunter that @TheWindel loves.

A cold I think but my voice sounds like a 2 year old now that is talking through a cracling speaker

Better than sounds like a kid yelling at an electric fan, not?
