If we're in need of a Master, I'd be open to making a Clocktower Teacher who joined the war to prove his thesis on how extreme stress can cause mages to really push their magical theories in unique ways.

This is becoming a field trip isn't it?

I suppose I can start poking people and interviewing the masters from my end today.

Personally, I'm interested in Percival, second only to Arturia. I'll wait on Idol's final answer about our pairing but if Alex keeps on being free, I'm game for him.
I'm beginning to feel like we are gonna get stuck on pairings for a lot of time. Nothing against it since I already got Saber set but if everyone waits the others without asking assertively, then this will remain a deadlock forever.
Hmmm, we're missing a Master, though... What is to be done about that?

That will be filled eventually. It was supposed to be @Crusader Lord's Master according to the list. If they don't want the spot someone else will likely take it.

For anybody curious, a more morally flexible master is a good fit for an assassin. Since "I'm running around and murdering people." Tends to be an iffy subject.

Also, am I the only person who's noticed that most of our mages seem to have Celtic/Welsh/Irish origins? And we have several servants who are british.

Not that assassination is really that immoral for the vast majority of Mages, of course. He would be one of my options, if I hadn't snagged Arturia already.

Also, I guess that you can't blame a Holy Grail War for being full of British people considering where the Clock Tower is located. Or British Servants considering that Britain is a heavy weight on European legends and history. Most of the non British Servants are AoG Greek, which makes a lot of sense as well.

It's just funny that there's no French to fill the role of rival to the British Servants.

Well, thankfully, there's the option of either King Scary or another Knight of the Swan (who isn't feeling very swan-y at the moment) among the English Servants left to be paired, right? Since the Once and Forever King is taken already, as long as @Idol Theory is still good with it.

Also, to my understanding, Saber, Archer, Caster, and Shielder are taken with the rest being alone for the time being. It's a good time to pick someone before there's not any other options left.

Anyway, I would really be interested in Alex and Charlie knowing one another, since Alex doesn't make much secrecy about what she does. She's very open for a mage since she doesn't have a big deep foundation to preserve. Finding someone with similar traits would be very interesting for her. Knowing that she has been researching Mystic Eyes and even trying to snag a spare invitation to Rail Zeppelin isn't that hard indeed so Charlie could be aware of Alex's interest in Fairy Eyes.
Well, Alex is a rather friendly person who's very interested into the inner works of magecraft. She more or less can be friends with anyone who doesn't think that a mage with no crest and that sticks just to the basics, refining them to an art, is some kind of lunatic.

She would be especially interested on Charlie if she learned about her magecraft style and, doubly especially, if she learned about the Fairy Eyes, since Alex has a big interest in Fairy Eyes.
@Sakaki Chizuru

Woah, that's really interesting.

Also, I just noticed something:

@heroic2019@DostHou@Yankee@Sakaki Chizuru

All our mages are apparently within the same age group and frequented a lot of the same departments of the Clock Tower on a regular basis. They probably are acquainted with one another at least from sight (we know that the classes there aren't that big in student numbers). It'll be interesting to see what happens when they meet.

In particular, Alex is likely to be acquainted with Charlie and Helius, since they look like figures that would be hard to miss within Animusphere and Norwich.

If anyone is interested in any deeper connections, I'm game for it. Just makes things more interesting.
@DostHou
Hmm, an astromancer who dislikes red, huh? Interesting...
@Cu Chulainn
I was originally gonna just roll a dice and pick someone based on the remaining Servants, but Parallel Hearts has a point - want to pair up?

I was going to make a joke about Bestiality being against the law, but I found out that it actually isn't on Japan so... have fun over there peeps.
<Snipped quote by KoL>

their foundations werent good at dealing with spooky ghosts tho :(

Don't kink shame people for their preferences in magic, that's not politically correct.
So i think we can agree that Cleo should be, so far, the "favorite master to win" given the nature of her magecraft and her long lineage. We also do have an underdog, an enforcer... The cast looks pretty good so far. Are we missing something?

That said, this might as well be the first Fate/RP that I'm as interested on conflicts between the mages as the ones between the Servants, if not outright finding the mages more interesting. Usually Fate RPs are filled with same-y mages that all try to be an aberration in a way or another but this time the cast is very balanced and pretty much only proper mages so far.

It'll be interesting to see how they do their thing while the Servants do theirs instead of the usual "mages stand around while the Servants do everything" approach.
