⚘ A Brief History ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ I've been at this a long time and when I say a long time I mean a long long damn time. I started out with table top, ADnD, back in the 80's, then dived into others: Nightlife, Mage the Ascension, Shadow Run, HoL, etc. Moved onto Online in the 90's. I've been running various incarnations of a single RP group for twenty years now. Worked helping setting up, building, and/or admining/modding various RP forums over the years: Adventure Quest, Priston Tales, War Gods, etc. It's been a long road filled with ups and downs. I'm an evil GM, you've been warned.
Outside of RP, I am a mom. Yup, I've reproduced and there are little Lady A's running around plotting their own take over of the world. I am a published author and once upon a time an award winning poet. I've done a lot in my life. I haven't done as much as I would like. I've grown a lot. I have a lot more growing to do. I love to cook, baker by trade currently. I went to university and majored in Mathematics. I've programmed websites, worked as a model, worked as a 3d modeler. Shit, I even used to dance. And have been known to sing a bit. Jack of all trades. Master of like 3, lol.
⚘ Looking Inside ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ This is where I go into my personality. In the past I would normally make some self deprecating remark about how I am a bitch of a GM, pushing my rpers as hard as I push myself and so forth. Not anymore. People change, or perhaps they just come into their own. This can happen at any age. More than that it can happen several times over the course of your life as you discover and rediscover yourself. Everything happens for a reason, usually that reason is ones owns actions. Or inaction's. Right now, I am in a better place than I can remember being in the longest time. I am happy and at peace. I have no regrets. Maybe I should but I don't. I plan on keeping this peace I have found, I went far too long without it.
Currently I am enjoying several things. Some are things I have enjoyed most of my life: Coffee, chocolate, bacon, M*A*S*H. One isn't something I have enjoyed since I was seventeen: being clean and free of poisons in my system. It is beyond description and I love it: One-hundred and twenty days and counting. Music taste is shifting to more mood oriented than anything, strange I am finding a lot of newer Country I am enjoying and I have NEVER liked country. Watching things like Lark Rise to Candleford and being hooked to the point of reading the trilogy. Recently added yoga to my workouts and all I can say is, "Fuckmaste: the fucked up in me accepts the fucked up in you."

There are a lot of things code wise that could help with the over function of the forum but until Mahz gets on them, I don't see any of them being put into play. He has a long list of things he is planning to do but isn't around enough to do them. (Which is a shame. Granted this is just a side thing for him but I am sure from the advertising this place does pull in some income. If he could code things and fix some issues, it would probably profit him in the long run.)
But anyways. The big thing would be an enforcing of the Fonz Code. I've had both positive and negative dealings with the mod when reporting things. Though I will admit the last time I reported something the result made me go "Why bother anymore" so I haven't since then. Only thing I go to a mod anymore for is if I need a post deleted. Which to me is sad, this forum doesn't really have a lot of rules. Not compared to most I have been on, so it isn't much to enforce but in the end it just isn't getting enforced and if it is, not reliably. We need a more active mod staff. (Personally I believe this could take care of a heavy percentage of the issues.)
In general though, I think the forum is pretty damn good. (At least in comparison to most I have seen over the past decades.) The organization of the forum I will admit is one of my favorite features and what initially made me come here and has been one of the main factors of me sticking around. Having OOC, IC, and CS's all in tabs is really ones of those luxury things I adore.
I know there are many things people as individuals could do to make their little slice of the forum better but in the end it comes down to preference. Some Gm's are more discerning than others and expect more. Some just roll with it. From the Laid Back Larry's to the Evil Gm Overlords. Each person on the forum gravitates to certain types of GM's. Cliques are a part of life. Sure be open to new people but cliques are there for a reason. They are the group you understand and get along with. Doesn't mean you aren't open to new people most of the time, it just means you are comfortable with them.
Overall, I think if we could get some more active mods who enforce the Fonz Code and at least get the starter tutorials moved or pinned so new people can find them faster instead of having to dig we would knock out a big chunk of the negative.
@Morose Okay, go ahead and move her as is over to the CS tab with her CS and Relations. We will probably start with her in the next few rounds of posts. (To at least get things moving. You won't have to post for her every round but here and there to cover time as it were.) - Will work out the details in PM.
Okay, Fantasy has bowed out. Going to "wrap up" Gene in the next post and then we will get moving. From our place on the darkside of the moon as it were, we will be moving out to finish off our drop off and continue on from there. We will unload the various players we don't need anymore, and move on from there. We will be restocking on our next stop after the drop off and gain some information on things.
Once the drop off is done, things are going to get a lot more free and you all are going to take on more control. (Like what we have in TWD) - Gonna put certain NPC's in your control for ease of posting. So if you have ideas on some that we might "recruit" as part of the staff let me know. (Like Dorothy might want to bring in another medico or some former alliance turned Browncoat she trusts.)
So think on it a bit and let me know if anything pops into your mind. We will also be moving a lot faster. So time will skip here and there and relations will develop or fall apart, so be thinking on how you want things for your character to go with other characters. Feel free to hit each other up or me to discuss things.
