Sana knew Keystone didn't want to cook anything right then and would rather just stay at the table but that hadn't stopped her from asking. She knew the man knew how to cook, she had eaten in the village before she had found him and Kyra north of the town, and she knew she wasn't going to stomach anything else from this place. At least not if she could help it. Why he had agreed to it she didn't know, but then again she didn't care. As long as she got food. She hadn't been able to swallow anything solid for days and even water had been an issue. Though she had managed to remain hydrated her stomach was letting her know in no uncertain terms that if she didn't get something in there soon it would quit and sue for separation.

"Why I want you to cook! I won't want my food to weigh ten pounds a fork full!" Sana said quickly before looking over towards the barber dwarf and getting the sales pitch. She had to give him this. He was insulting just enough to make most feel self conscious but jovial enough to make you go okay, well probably most people. The whole looking pretty thing Sana had to question. Her hair was always everywhere, it really hadn't been a big thing for her to worry about, why she kept it cropped shorter. Her big thing were the scars along her throat, neck, chest, back, and arm. There was no amount of grooming that could take care of that. The last person she had been close to had walked out of her life soon as she became scarred. It probably wasn't why he left but it had left a bad taste in her mouth to say the least.

"After I eat, bathe, and get some sleep, then maybe." Sana shrugged a bit, she wasn't against the idea but food, scrubbing her skin, and sleeping where at the top of her list right then. She would have suggested Keystone but she doubted the dwarf could do anything for him. Keystone kept shaved, both head and face. Smirking she glanced back over towards Nor. Too bad my friend Shela isn't here. She'd probably take you up on it. That is if you could get her to hold still and keep quiet long enough," she commented with a chuckle thinking back to the last time she had seen the woman. "Sundered Dwarf, woman could use a comb more than I could right now."

Over at the Apothecary Kyra was dealing with the shop merchant. The man went slightly slack jawed when Kyra had said she didn't want to be ripped off, even more so as Satilla started out with her version. Clamping his jaw shut he swallowed slightly and nodded. "Alright, just a moment," was all he said before stepping into the back of the shop behind a curtain. Kyra just rolled her eyes before leaning against the counter and looking around. the place looked half bare, which wasn't surprising to her after the conversation she had had with the towns constable. Attacks made healing a bit more needed.

Pushing off the counter Kyra got to looking around what was there. She hadn't gone through many of personal supplies during the journey but she figured getting a few more items wouldn't be a bad idea. Her fingers ran along the shelves; there were some linens, needles and bobbins of thread, splints, some minor healing potions and general poison remedies. Nothing grand but it was something.

Coming out from behind the curtain the shop keeper was carrying a rather large box. Inside it was various dried herbs, flora and fauna, pieces of dried animal parts that Kyra had to assume served some purpose. Glass jars; some empty with corks in the top, others filled and seals in various colors. The colors ranged from clear to black, shades were weak to bright. There were powders, salves, and so forth. Seemed he was rather well stocked. Well perhaps in variety but not in amount. One to two of most items.

"This is the majority of the higher end stuff that I have left, the local militia took most of it," he said as he set the wood crate down on the counter.

"Took? Most say purchased."

"Yeah, well when coin isn't exchanged, I don't."

"Fair enough."

@Cynder As far as a tag system goes, yes. An adult or age requirement tag would be great. An entire split sub forum I believe is a bit much.

@Kangaroo I agree there, that was always my rule of thumb when staffing a forum.

Reason for the suggestion though boils down since it is difficult for the current staff to be active, it's harder for you all to know or see who may or may not be a good candidate. The thought alone of having to go through back posts and status updates to clear someone is daunting. I do it just to clear people for Rps, as a mod it would be under going a lot more securitization. That was the main reasoning for the suggestion.

Granted if the mods had someone in mind, they could always put it feelers in the community so people could express concerns over a certain candidate. But that's an entirely different can of worms.

@Garattee I don't see why we need a smut and non smut section. Smut isn't supposed to be on the forum. Adult themes have to be kept to pm's. That really should just put as part of the 1x1 interest check, whether or not the person is open to it.

As far as more active mods... Everyone has friends and enemies on the forums. Even our current mods, heck they might actually have more enemies than most around here. They enforce the rules, that rarely keep people from becoming hated on some level. Current mods also have friends here and long standing loyalties. So while it could be a downside, it is one All mods already have to face. Part of being a mod is staying unbiased.

Justice Asylum: - The paramedics were on their way and the operator let Riley know that they would be there soon. The line was still open to the 911 operator when Jania struck. The orderly didn't know what hit him as they were focused on Felix. (Who must have been in shock since he was talking with an eye ball gouged and ripped and half hanging down his face) The orderly was knocked to his side and the bobby pin hit its mark. That tiny little spot and the jugular was pierced.

Marc didn't know what just happened but Cynthia was giggling like a school girl. Bouncing up and down in her seat as she clapped her hands. "Pretty picture, pretty picture! Paint for a pretty picture!!!" she exclaimed with all the glee in the world.

"Riley, get Cynthia out of here," Marc said before scrambling over towards Jania. He nearly missed grabbing her, blood was pulsing in sprays everywhere in a thick mist and slicking up the place. Grabbing her arms he was able to get her to the ground with her arms behind her back.

"Don't hurt her!!!" Cynthia yelled.

"I'm not, just wrestling!" Marc grunted as he did what he could to keep Jania pinned to the ground as the orderly that had been stabbed in the neck was bleeding out.

Zoies Farm: - "Guests get first pick," Zoie said before taking half a breast herself and Relic going to grab the wings. "Pass the tomatoes," Zoie said to Relic, who didn't hear her at first. A sudden jump later and an ouch chirping from his lips and he looked at Zoie.

"What the hell was that for?" he said rubbing his shin.

"Fer not payin' attention, To-ma-toes," she said holding her hand out.

"Oh, yeah," he grumbled picking up the plate of fried green tomatoes and handing it over to his sister. Plating a few of the thick sliced green vegetables that had been soaked in buttermilk before being coated in cornmeal batter and fried up in a cast iron skillet. Drizzling over some ranch dressing she after she passed the plate back to Relic.

"Never understood how you can eat all this shit," he mumbled before taking a bite from one of his pieces of chicken and then grabbing some cornbread.

"Ya just never liked anything that wasn't meat or starch. You could do with some greens in yer belly. Collards and tomatoes be right good fer ya. Put some meat on yer bones," she said laughing.

"You're as thin as I am," he said rolling his eyes. "And I eat, constantly."

"Not soul food. Yous get that take out crap. How many chinese boxes you gots in yer fridge right now?"

Relic didn't answer. Deciding instead to change the topic. "Zoie, I think I'm in trouble."

She was about to take a bite out of the chicken when he spoke. Stopping she slowly sat it down and straightened her back. Leaning against the chair she picked up her napkin and cleaned off her hands before resting them in her lap. "Okay, what's going on?"

Relic swallowed slightly and gave a look over towards Mali, he looked like he was nearly pleading for her to fill Zoie in on what was going on but Zoie kicked him again. "Valentine and Juno!" he yelped.

"Sweet jesus..." she muttered before face palming.

@Kangaroo If I may make a suggestion as far as mods go, and God forgive me I can't believe I am saying this, but perhaps an application could be posted for those that have some time to help?

I still cannot believe I said that, I've always gone by the rule "never appoint someone as a mod who wants to be a mod" - Why? Because it usually backfires. I've admin and modded for places like Priston Tales, and Adventure Quest (their Rp sections) along time ago in a galaxy far far away. I understand the stress of picking a mod that will be a good balance of getting the job done without alienating the forum because "power" went to their head. I also can sympathise with getting an admin to appoint people to help lessen the work for others because as a staff you get tight knit and count on each other.

Yet, perhaps it could help here. An application to feel a few things out. Yes, would take time and work for the mod staff but in the end would benefit the mods and lessen the load over all. I have a feeling Mahz is the only one who can do the actual appointing but if you all had a list ready of "prescreened" applicants it might help.

I wouldn't go for nominations persay from the general public, turns into a popularity contest instead of getting the most qualified.

But a few new bloods could help. If anything because people might be more likely to contact those they see around a bit more and have rped with. I know when I came here I had some issues I should have reported but actually reporting made me feel "off" so I kept my mouth shut. One situation got bad. Granted once I did report it, it was quickly taken care of. But just that feeling comfortable factor took sometime.

Any who, my two bronze pieces as it were.
