⚘ A Brief History
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
I've been at this a long time and when I say a long time I mean a long long damn time. I started out with table top, ADnD, back in the 80's, then dived into others: Nightlife, Mage the Ascension, Shadow Run, HoL, etc. Moved onto Online in the 90's. I've been running various incarnations of a single RP group for twenty years now. Worked helping setting up, building, and/or admining/modding various RP forums over the years: Adventure Quest, Priston Tales, War Gods, etc. It's been a long road filled with ups and downs. I'm an evil GM, you've been warned.

Outside of RP, I am a mom. Yup, I've reproduced and there are little Lady A's running around plotting their own take over of the world. I am a published author and once upon a time an award winning poet. I've done a lot in my life. I haven't done as much as I would like. I've grown a lot. I have a lot more growing to do. I love to cook, baker by trade currently. I went to university and majored in Mathematics. I've programmed websites, worked as a model, worked as a 3d modeler. Shit, I even used to dance. And have been known to sing a bit. Jack of all trades. Master of like 3, lol.

⚘ Looking Inside
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
This is where I go into my personality. In the past I would normally make some self deprecating remark about how I am a bitch of a GM, pushing my rpers as hard as I push myself and so forth. Not anymore. People change, or perhaps they just come into their own. This can happen at any age. More than that it can happen several times over the course of your life as you discover and rediscover yourself. Everything happens for a reason, usually that reason is ones owns actions. Or inaction's. Right now, I am in a better place than I can remember being in the longest time. I am happy and at peace. I have no regrets. Maybe I should but I don't. I plan on keeping this peace I have found, I went far too long without it.

Currently I am enjoying several things. Some are things I have enjoyed most of my life: Coffee, chocolate, bacon, M*A*S*H. One isn't something I have enjoyed since I was seventeen: being clean and free of poisons in my system. It is beyond description and I love it: One-hundred and twenty days and counting. Music taste is shifting to more mood oriented than anything, strange I am finding a lot of newer Country I am enjoying and I have NEVER liked country. Watching things like Lark Rise to Candleford and being hooked to the point of reading the trilogy. Recently added yoga to my workouts and all I can say is, "Fuckmaste: the fucked up in me accepts the fucked up in you."

@Morose - Alright, edited Crypt Manor. Sorry about that, it was my misread.
@Morose Well that is my bad.... For some reason with her seeing the walls outside on the house and the garden area - I thought she was outside. (Looking at the manor itself, it seemed off for her to be inside and seeing the outside walls LOL, probably why I missed Alfred bringing the food towards her room.) ><!!!!!!! Let me edit.
@Morose @Sigil @mnkee @Rivaan @Sputnik - Okay, update all done. Now it only includes those that are up to date on posting.

Mnkee, since you have not been able to post since before the end of day - your characters are now in a time freeze. Once you can post again, you will need to post the end of day and new day for each character based on those WN posts. After that, each round that goes through for everyone else will need to be made up until we get you back on the same time frame they are. Currently, that is 1 beyond end of day and new day. If another WN goes up before you can post again, that will be 2. Which will mean a little bit of catch up once things calm down for you since you won't be able to interact with any of the other Rpers characters until you are on the same posting number as they are. (You'll have to get updates in between posts just for Fyror and Thalken to catch up basically. You will NOT be allowed to just mass post in one large post to cover the time.

So will mean some extra posting once things calm down for you - which after not being able to post for a while will probably be welcome LOL

Port Annan, Scotland

Teriny Inn: "Sure thing Lass," Nigel said as he stepped behind the bar counter. It was Saturday mid morning, so breakfast ran a tad later and brunch being served was a Sunday ordeal in the inn. He wasn't sure if she had filled up last night or had a hunger this morning. It was best to ask. "He said he shouldn't be long. I's can get you some breakfast from the kitchen if you are hungry. We have some hard boiled eggs, and salted pork - a bit cold right now. Or the missus' could whip you up a bowl of steel cut if ya's like with some fruit on it," he offered her as he flung the rag he had been holding over his shoulder and left it there for now.

"Though the parson would probably recommend one of the pastries, it really doesn't stick with you for a long time," he said before patting the girth of his mid section. "Other than where you don't want it to," he laughed. "Surprised there are any left after the way he tore into them this mornin', more surprised he isn't the width of a barn. Guess what god didn't bless him with coordination he blessed him with the ability to stay rail thin."

London, England

The Glimmeric: Outside, what should have been a quiet and calm morning in this area had been altered to something gone very wrong with the scream that echoed out. The street was slowly starting to come to life as people poked their heads out their windows where they lived above the stores and establishments or just plain wandering out cautiously to see what was going on. Two doors down and across the street from the Glimmeric a woman came running towards the brothel. The girl was younger, perhaps in her early twenties. She worked at the Glimmeric and had for the last few months. Sarah Ann was sweet girl who was rather naive about things but that seemed to play in her favor among the patrons. That, along with her slight curves, curls of blonde, hazel eyes, and freckles. Some enjoyed that young innocent look and attitude.

"Madam Warwick!" she yelled out, gathering the folds of her dress and trying to keep her shawl on her shoulders. She looked as if she had seen a ghost. Her face flush and her eyes filled with worry. The basket she had been carrying felling from her hand as she pointed back down the street. There laying face up on the side walk was an older gentleman in rich clothing. His complexion looked as if he had been drained of not only life but blood as well. There was something familiar about the man, very familiar. "It's Lord Galloway!"

Russian Imperial Circus Tent City (Regent Park): The wonderful thing about Tretiy Glaz was that it could give someone a glance into the future and perhaps help someone determine something important. The bad thing about Tretiy Glaz, it rarely ever went off when it could be immediately useful. Like it would have been wonderful for Constanin or Vlad to have a sudden vision of the whereabouts of the Grand Duchess but apparently whatever force drove the Tretiy Glaz, it was asleep right then. (Oh well at leas the rolls weren't a 1 lol, could have been worse.)

The rest of the circus was now more than awake with the bellowing of the Great Bazhooli. People stumbling quickly out of their tents as the Sister kept rushing around. Though the scream did let people know one thing... If Veta had been within earshot she would have most definitely heard that and come running. (One did not just ignore Vlad when he yelled, at least not Veta.) - As Vlad started to search the outskirts of the tent city, it seemed there was no sign of Veta yet but the fog was thick, making it hard to see even ones own feet in the ground. Within the tent city it was not as thick but still made things difficult if one was not careful. The further one got from the center and towards the north, it became like pea soup.

Wyndham Manor: Abigail turned around and looked over to Gerard. She looked worried as she pulled at her fingers. "Mr. Gerard, have you seen Miss Milli? I ain't been spotting a hair on her head since last night. She ain't in the house. Did she sneaks out here that's you knows of?" she asked. There was no sign that Milli had been out and if she wasn't on her favorite bench in the garden or sitting there reading to Artemis, chances were she wasn't there.

Had she really stayed at the hospital the entire evening with Mrs. Wyndham? It wouldn't have been unlike Millicent to stay with an injured family member. Maybe with the condition she had been in when she left the hospital the night before the staff had insisted she become a patient instead of a visitor. Yet if they thought Millicent had been driven mad from her lack of speaking... That would mean she could have been shipped off to London's Bedlam... The horror's of England's oldest and most cruel insane asylum were known far and wide.

St. Etheldreda's: The boy did not take notice of Mary when she first walked up to him and explained just where he was, why, and so forth. He just stared blankly forward before letting out a gasping breath and falling to his knees. Shaking his head for a moment before pressing his palm to his temple. Turning he finally looked over to the young Sister. "Oh, Sister Mary, where did you come from?" he asked her, confused as he did not seem to notice that she had even been speaking to him.

"Sister, you are up. Good morning to you, such a blessed day is it not. There are messages waiting for you," one of the elderly nuns said in a bright voice as she came over towards the two. "I would have delivered them sooner, I was..." she said pausing for a moment. "For the life of me I cannot remember why I was held up from informing you. Do forgive me. Perhaps senility has finally set in."

Crypt Manor: The gardener looked very ill as he stood there outside looking at the manor itself and the garden. It was horrible, all his hard work was dead. Sure the Crypts liked dead things but they paid him to keep the garden going, not to let it die. Centuries of historic ivy was now dry brittle kindling that would need to be stripped from the sides of the home before it rotted away and caused damage to the actual structure of the manor. It was going to be a lot of work, that was even if he got to keep his job.

Shaking his head he took off his hat and pulled at it a minute while he stared at the single globe thistle. This was a bad omen in his mind, more than a bad one. The dead plants and ivy would take days to remove but he could at least rid the family of the newest eye sore - The Globe Thistle had to go. Slapping his hat back on his head he stormed over to it and ripped it out by its roots. Going over to one of the oil burning lamps on the property he set it on fire and tossed it onto the stone cut pathway that circled the front garden area of the house as he watched it burn to ash. It was the only dead plant on the property he was glad about currently.
A lot of it, from what I have found, goes with spelling it how it sounds. Southern accents are pretty simple since Southern Dialects have a speech all their own. G's get dropped, s's get added, few things actually have a single syllable, O's get changed to U's. Granted that is depending on if you are going Ga Southern, Lousianna Southern, Texas, or Virginian - since they are all their own monsters.

TWD Rp I am Gming, for example, has a Virginian, 2 from Boston, 2 from South Ga, 1 from Texas, and a Russian. Each of them speak in their own way, with their own inflection. The Rper who controls one of the ones from Boston doesn't use R's when he speaks. The Russian, v's and w's get interchanged and Th's at the beginning of words then to come out as D's.

Though going beyond that, a lot of it has to with turn of phrase. Each area has little lingo's all their own - get to know the catch phrases and it becomes a bit easier. Your traditionally thought Southern Redneck seems to be the easiest for many I have seen to pick up on portray, then branching out. Though, if you live in a particular area, draw on your own experience and try typing how you and others sound around you.

I will say though, take it little by little - Been there with the Scots accent thing Broken was speaking about. Lines of text I had no idea what they were talking about. Granted if you are playing a Scots meeting a Redneck and you want them both to be confused as hell by what the other is saying.... Go all in LOL
@Morose @Sigil @mnkee @Rivaan @Sputnik - I will be updating either today or tomorrow for those that have posted since the day change. Mnkee and Morose are still on extension for school/personal reasons so I will not be updating for them until they get a chance to post.

Kyra & Sana

Location: Cross Swords Tavern/Apothecary/Merchant/Smithy
Interacting With: Various
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

"Yes, like that will do," Kyra said as she took the knuckles that Keystone had trusted her with. Turning them over in her hand as she examined the workmanship. The carvings in them seemed to stand out more now because of the silver inlay. It was crude work at best and she wondered just how long the silver would remain intact but it was better than nothing, especially considering the amount of time they had to get everything taken care of.

"Are you sure? I could do better if you would be willing to give me more time," the smithy said cocking a brow. He had not thought the quick pour would be satisfactory. He had wanted to work the metal some but Kyra had nearly forbidden it.

"I'm sure. This will do, now for the rest," she said. The smithy and jeweler looked at each other for a moment before shrugging and getting back to work. It seemed like they wanted to argue the point a bit more but the Direwolf sitting next to the woman and licking his chops was all the determent they needed.

Sana looked around the general store. It seemed to be sparsely stocked but that didn't surprise her. With the attacks she had been told about supplies to restock the shelves were most likely few and far between. Just as they seemed to be in the Apothecary. The old man coming back up with a a cloth covered object he held by a single wrought iron ring. Setting it down gently on the counter he looked over to Satilla and cocked a brow. "You must be mistaken, I have none," he said as he turned and pointed to the line of jars on the shelves.

Shaking his head a bit he pulled the cloth away from what turned out to be a glass lined cage. In it were six fire beetles. "Now, here we are. These should work. Though you might just want to kill the little buggers and forget about a potion," he said as they crawled around. They were rather large for an insect but still small compared to most animals. Their glands will shine bright for 1-6 days after they are dead. Miners use them a lot when underground and in the dark. Will shed light for about a ten foot radius out from each gland. Rather useful."
Welcome to our little slice of insanity. Straitjackets on the right, padded rooms on the left. The doctor will be in to see you shortly. Enjoy your stay.
