Keep moving forward ۩
⚘ A Brief History
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
I've been at this a long time and when I say a long time I mean a long long damn time. I started out with table top, ADnD, back in the 80's, then dived into others: Nightlife, Mage the Ascension, Shadow Run, HoL, etc. Moved onto Online in the 90's. I've been running various incarnations of a single RP group for twenty years now. Worked helping setting up, building, and/or admining/modding various RP forums over the years: Adventure Quest, Priston Tales, War Gods, etc. It's been a long road filled with ups and downs. I'm an evil GM, you've been warned.

Outside of RP, I am a mom. Yup, I've reproduced and there are little Lady A's running around plotting their own take over of the world. I am a published author and once upon a time an award winning poet. I've done a lot in my life. I haven't done as much as I would like. I've grown a lot. I have a lot more growing to do. I love to cook, baker by trade currently. I went to university and majored in Mathematics. I've programmed websites, worked as a model, worked as a 3d modeler. Shit, I even used to dance. And have been known to sing a bit. Jack of all trades. Master of like 3, lol.

⚘ Looking Inside
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
This is where I go into my personality. In the past I would normally make some self deprecating remark about how I am a bitch of a GM, pushing my rpers as hard as I push myself and so forth. Not anymore. People change, or perhaps they just come into their own. This can happen at any age. More than that it can happen several times over the course of your life as you discover and rediscover yourself. Everything happens for a reason, usually that reason is ones owns actions. Or inaction's. Right now, I am in a better place than I can remember being in the longest time. I am happy and at peace. I have no regrets. Maybe I should but I don't. I plan on keeping this peace I have found, I went far too long without it.

Currently I am enjoying several things. Some are things I have enjoyed most of my life: Coffee, chocolate, bacon, M*A*S*H. One isn't something I have enjoyed since I was seventeen: being clean and free of poisons in my system. It is beyond description and I love it: One-hundred and twenty days and counting. Music taste is shifting to more mood oriented than anything, strange I am finding a lot of newer Country I am enjoying and I have NEVER liked country. Watching things like Lark Rise to Candleford and being hooked to the point of reading the trilogy. Recently added yoga to my workouts and all I can say is, "Fuckmaste: the fucked up in me accepts the fucked up in you."

Gilberts reaction, or lack there of, did not surprise Evelyn in the slightest. It took quite a lot to ruffle the mans feathers and she knew spouting off in Greek to him wouldn't do that. Yet she wasn't trying to ruffle his feathers she was trying to make a point. Whether he said anything or not, she hoped she had. He was offering tea though and she did have a few things to discuss with him before she made her exit from the room. Pulling out a chair she sat herself on the edge and crossed her ankles left over right. Pulling the pipe from her lips she nodded slightly before she spoke. She wasn't off the Greek kick yet, which meant she was still rather peeved.

Shaking her head, Eve took a long pull from her pipe, the smoke billowing up from her lips and framing her face as she waited for her morning cup of tea that was being provided by Gilbert. If only those that had faced him in battle could see him now, handling dainty porcelain cups with filigree and gold trims yet The Dice was not one to think on such things, especially as she felt the tickle in the back of her mind again. She knew this was coming today, she had planned for it. Reaching into her pocket she felt the cool surfaces as her fingers wrapped around a single dice. Pulling it out she let it clink against the table. 2"Θα ακούσουμε μια κραυγή σε μερικές στιγμές Gilbert, κουνάμε τα αυτιά σας." It was a warning, one she rarely gave but she felt it would be needed at this time.

3"¡SANTA MADRE FOLLANDO A CRISTO! ¡TENGAS QUE FOLLARME ENGAÑARME! ¡OH, MIERDA! ¡SÍ! ¡¡¡¡NO!!!! ¡OH! ¡MIERDA!" Alicias voice rang out like a banshee as Eve glanced towards the front door and towards the oak tree. Seeing the young Paradox sinking to her rear and pulling her knees to her chest.

Picking up the dice from the table Evelyn slipped it back into her pocket. "It is never easy to know someone you care for has passed away, yet for a Paradox to meet them again in this place it is a torrent of emotions. Should you be joyous or in mourning? Such a difficult time yet all we can do is to continue to move forward," she said idly as she tapped the base of her pipe against the table. At least she was off the Greek but the sudden change of languages was just a sign to those that truly knew The Dice that she never took death lightly, granted there might have been a total of two people during her entire existence that knew that about her. Shaking off the thoughts going through her mind she got back to the reason she had sought out The Hat that morning to begin with. "This evenings festivities and visitors are nothing we are not accustomed to after these several years here but with the addition of the new Paradoxes, those whose abilities have yet to manifest perhaps it would be prudent that this evening during the height of activities you could take the Paradoxes on a full tour of the outer grounds. Group activity. Alicia could assist," she suggested.

She knew that any training would have to wait, it was not something that was done. In fact those that arrived were steered as far away from their previous life as possible. Rule One was you never go back. Rule two was you never taught what they once knew if it could be helped. It just lead to too much temptation to breech rule one. It was difficult because fighters always wanted to relearn but it was not done. Evelyn had seen too much go too far wrong too many times over the centuries. She would not set them up for failure, not if she could help it. None were left defenseless but this was a new life, it should be just that. Not a continuation of the last. Ever.

Alicia Gonzalez

Location: Ville au Camp: Main House Room 107 -> Oak Tree

"Sure thing Chica," Alicia said before closing the door and leaving Sophia to get settled in. Not that there was much to really do. She had clothing now, a room, a few treasures from her previous life. The biggest thing for any new Paradox was just to wrap their heads around the fact they were actually dead, whisked to another place in time, another place period, and they would just have to basically deal with. It was a lot to take in and Alicia didn't know about Sophia but she remembered needing a lot of time to process it before she left her room for the first time. After that she got to work keeping as busy as possible. It was one of the reasons she had gotten to know the Hat more than the others. He had a job she could actually help with and it helped keep her mind from wandering back to Justice and her father and her son. Though the longer she was there, the easier it got. She didn't forget them but it was as if they were a dream now so there wasn't that pull to try to get back to them anymore.

Making her way out of the main house she was heading back to the Oak Tree and had contemplated just passing it and going to the Kitchen house to get something to eat. That was until she took a look down at the clipboard in her fingers and a new name started to be scrawled over the paper. That was when the slew of Hispanic curses left her mouth. She was jumped up and down, freezing in place, looking ecstatic one second and heart broken the next. It was a tidal wave of conflicting emotions. Along the same lines as when Evelyn Couch had found out it was Mrs. Otis that was dead and not Mrs. Threadgoode in Fried Green Tomatoes. Near the tail end of the freak out Alicia sunk to her rear end and gripped the clip board as she glanced over towards the portal.

This was something she hadn't expected today. Sitting beneath the Oak Tree Alicia had planned to mess with some of the Paradoxes when they arrived. Granted, it really hadn't gone well with the last arrival, though it hadn't gone bad either. Alicia knew she needed to work on answering questions and such but right then her mind wasn't on it. She knew with this next arrival she couldn't fuck with them. Well she could, if she could mess with anyone it would probably be him. Glancing up from the clipboard she looked back over towards the house. She should have asked Sophia about Newnan and what was going on there but she wanted to let her get settled before she bombarded her with questions. Now she really wished she would have considering who was about to show up. It probably would make things a touch easier.

The gate flickered and the daughter of El Hefe stood up slowly and dusted herself off. She found herself swallowing a lump in her throat as she tucked the clipboard down on the ground against the trunk of the tree. It wasn't a known thing how he would react showing up here and seeing her but Alicia felt that it was a pretty safe bet that she would need both hands free. Seeing the flickering increase she didn't bother to worry about reading how this man had died, any of that. She knew him well enough, at least her memories did. This was going to be hard to explain but she would just run with it. The portal turned until it was parallel with the ground and lowered as it had before.

As it rose Alicia looked down at the blackneck, her eyes widening slightly. It was as if she had been caught dumbstruck, unable to move or speak as she looked at him. Then it happened. Whatever calmness she had thought she had before he arrived, whatever respect she intended to give him... was plum out the window as her arms wrapped around herself and she doubled over giving out a stream of laughter that made her fall to the ground, rolling onto her back, kicking the ground as she continued to guffaw, chuckle, chortle, bellow, and more in total hilarity. "Hold on, I fetch you some watermelon be'fore yous goes pick the cotton Uncle Tom," she said giving her best southern accent impression.
@Sigil k, good to go. Move over to cs tab and slip in the relations as well. Tag me when done so I can post my update and being him in.
~Updated Dec 20th, 2017~ Apparently we needed a no plagiarize rule here on the forum, it has been added to the guide now.
Wow, who knew that "don't plagiarize" needed to be part of the general rules. That is a new one for me and I have the longest rule list on the damn forum. Guess nothing can go without saying these days.
@Morose Okay, clear to move her to the CS tab - go ahead and get her relations together and add those in as well at this time.
@Sigil Need that completed Cs submitted today for approval. We need to get through your CS, it's approval, then your relation sheet, and it's posting to the CS tab BEFORE I log out for the evening today. Just so there isn't confusion...

1) Submit fully completed CS to OOC today.
2) Get approval for final CS today.
3) Move CS to CS tab today.
4) Get relation sheet done today.
5) Get it added to the CS.
6) All before I log out tonight so I can post for the RP today. (That gives you until around 7 pm our time. After that, well... you know what happens. <.< You've had a week, so no sympathy at this point. >.>)

*Note: No more needing to Pm me for rolls when it comes to Nora, Lauren, Mahendra - They all have reached a "Okay, I can deal with this" point. Now that will change if they ever see him without his mask on, lol. But for now, play it as calmly or nervously as you wish. Whatever is fitting to the characters personality.

Streets Of Cairo: Unlike others in the side street, the older couple gave Mosi distance when she came over. The older woman just smiling in her direction and the man nodding somewhat as he went on with his business. There were many fabrics that were hanging on various bolts so one could touch and get a feel for them. Some with thick and coarse, others you could nearly see through them as if you were looking through a pane of glass. They had some pure silks but they also had blends, many were fur based with silk woven into it. It seemed to let them breath more while retaining a lot of the silks properties, it was a good middle ground for the area and weather, as well it likely cut the cost of production and materials down greatly.

The old man took down a light olive toned bolt of silk blend and held it out to his wife. She nodded and pointed over towards another bolt, which he pulled down as well. This seemed to continue until they had fix or six different bolts down. They all were different thickness, but the colors all complimented each other. "Good?" the old woman asked as she tapped Mosi on the shoulder and motioned towards the stack they had created. Then she started to point to the bolts of fabric and then to the item she was wearing it could be made into, from the light weight veils and head pieces, to the average weighted blends for general skirts and tops, to the thicker stronger ones for covering during times when the sands kicked up.

"Yes?" she asked with a slight smile. It seemed they had color coordinated everything she would need to create something that would work well with her skin and eyes.

The Barracks: Aziza was slightly caught off guard as the door opened. He had sprayed well indeed but it wasn't enough to cover the pungent odor. In fact the atomizer seemed to only enhance the smell. As if someone had poured a bottle of perfume over freshly stepped in camel dung. They were not complimenting smells. Coughing a bit as Haakon and Josephine made their way away from the Lord Majors office and back into the main courtyard she forced a smile.

"Um yes, we need to speak with you please," she said before taking a deep breath and making her way into the office, Sgt Walsh on her heels before the door closed behind them.

Vera, Peter, & George

Location: Egyptian Museum: Vera's Office

Vera looked over at Lauren and shook her head slightly. "I am sorry but I have nothing stronger than tea here currently," she explained before her attention was turned towards Peter as he spoke.

"It looks as if everyone is coming around, come, let's get everyone sitting and upright once again," he said as he assisted Mahendra to his feet and motioned towards one of the chairs over by the table and opposite of where George was seated. "I believe George has already prepared some tea for you. Might do you some good. Nothing a right proper tea can't fix. Stiff upper lip as my uncle would say."

George chuckled a bit as he looked back down. "English and their tea... Mm... Bible tell you Jesus turn water into tea instead of wine?" he asked Peter as his eye trailed over to him.

"King James version of course," Peter countered with a bit of a chuckle. Stepping over to Vera he pushed her curls back slowly. "So, is there anything we can help with? It was the main reason other than checking on your well being that brought us here."

Vera's eyes widened slightly before she looked down at her watch. "Oh heavens! We must be on our way. Excuse me Peter, George. Lady Kingston and I were just about to leave about the permits when you arrived. We must make haste if we care to have this finished by this evening," she said in a hurry as she rushed over to her desk, brushing passed William and half tripping as she did. Gathering her hat she placed it on her head, then her purse and folders of papers.

"I will escort you out then," Peter said as he smiled towards her and glanced over towards Nora. "Perhaps I should attend with you, the Lady Kingston I do apologize but you seem as if you could use another set of hands for this matter. Would you be opposed to myself and my friend attending to you and Vera on this outing?" he asked as he offered his hand to her.

Neema brushed herself off and looked over towards Lauren. "And we should be getting down to the archives once everyone is ready."

Anisa Crowe

Location: Lady Luck: Table Main Room

Jahosafat had made his way into one of the upper floor repast rooms. It wasn't private like the bedrooms, multiple people or couples could be in one any given moment. Yet they were far less crowded than the main floors and did give at least a hint of privacy while allowing for mingling. It was enough for now while the doctor waited on a room to be freed up and cleaned. He dare not ruin his coat.

Taking a breath Anisa glanced over towards the conversation, her eyes darting back and forth between Fitz, Daphne, Dorothy, and Jackie. This was interesting the kid looked like he was about to pass out, Dorothy seemed to be seeing something that Anisa wasn't, and Daphne seemed to be up to a lot more than the Captain had thought she had been while she was wandering about earlier. Looking over to Harper she leaned in a bit. "We shoulda kept joyriding," she said in passing to her new lead pilot before righting herself as the waitress brought over a stack of menu's for the group in general, handing one to Harper since he had asked for them.

"Hope ya brought the gorham smelling salts Dor, this one's about to faint," Anisa added as she grabbed a deck of cards and started shuffling. Looking over at Jackie she smirked a bit. "How'd ya keep him calm until now?" she asked as she started dealing cards. As she came to Fitz she paused. "Going to stay vertical for this hand or want to pass?"

@FantasyChic Okay, she looks good. I will pm you later once I do my daily updates to start working on skills, possessions, and run down the initial stuff with you.

@Morose This will be interesting, lol. Okay, will pm you later about the usual Paradox stuff. Please note that while she is being submitted now, she will be far back on the rotation to bring in. Have to bring James in, then Faith, then still have to work in Mnkee's and Natsu's characters that have been building towards this. Just don't want you to think I will be forgetting her, just working off the lists and such lol.
