Abilities, Skills and Resources ___________________________________
//Abiliites & Skills: • Abilities/Skills | ☽ Vampiric Boost || Ambrosia, like other vampires, has supernatural strength, stamina, and agility, as well as having an accelerated healing rate.
☽ Vampiric Compel || Ambrosia is skilled at compelling others from years of performing the art. She is capable of compelling her victim to do something, to become unconscious, to change moods, etc. This skill is much more difficult to execute, and incredibly weakened, on other supernatural entities.
☽ Marksmanship || Ambrosia is capable of using guns, but being more skilled with her handguns.
☽ Sneaking || Ambrosia is light on her feet when she needs to be — like most vampires.
☽ Enchanted by black magic || Being a resurrected individual through black magic makes her permanently tainted by the darkness. Other supernaturals can sometimes sense this, especially those that have dealt with black magic before. This indefinite lifestyle has made her immune to curses and hexes that a witch would attempt to cast upon her, as well as any boons that don’t relate to black magic. Though, she is still susceptible to the effects of a curse via outside sources. For example, if she holds a cursed item, the effects of the item would still apply to her.
• Limitation(s) | ☽ Sunlight, stakes, vervain || Being a vampire, Ambrosia is weakened by all that a vampire would be weakened by.
☽ White magic || Upon being perpetually tainted by black magic, she has a weakness of white magic. Areas with sigils that house a field of purity and white magic will be difficult for Ambrosia to tread, greatly weakening her. Any white magic spells that are casted at Ambrosia would have a negative effect as well.
☽ Black magic presence || Ambrosia is easily sensed by other supernaturals because of the black magic that dwells within her. //Paraphernalia: • Enchanted Ring | An enchanted ring by a long-forgotten witch protects Ambrosia from the sun. A plus-side, it’s very stylish. • Handguns | Ambrosia has two Beretta 92FS handguns. She only equips them with silver bullets as she finds no need to use a gun on mortals, save for the occasional hunter that attempts to hunt her.

Ambrosia makes the best of her immortality and appreciates her forever-youthful look. While being a beautiful woman who will never see any added wrinkles or cellulite, vanity gets very old after living several decades within the same skin. With all the features any woman would kill for: a lustful figure, silky brown hair, a shining smile, and an even, contoured complexion, Ambrosia only compliments them with her elegance and her style. After living through many decades, a woman will know how to be up to date with the changes in fashion, though Ambrosia will pull different outfits from different decades. While she usually sports beautiful, long, cocktail dresses with designer heels and expensive jewelry, she will occasionally wear tank tops with jeans, but only when the circumstances are appropriate.

In what circumstances does the life of a vampire truly begin? Yes, of course — dressed in blood in a room full of blood. For Ambrosia, this involved such a cliche moment of lust and love, but what better way to give your life to someone besides marriage? Prior to this life-changing event, who was Ambrosia and what came of her?
An aspiring dancer with outstanding talent in ballet, a star pupil at the Boston Conservatory to properly exercise her skill and express it to the world was known as Ambrosia Pierre. With absent parents, a broken family, and a life pressured by the everyday struggles of a ballet dancer and a growing colleague, she found happiness in what she did best. To turn this hobby into a career was expensive, and risky, but Ambrosia was confident in her ability to perform, so she left to the conservatory after she was graciously accepted. There was nothing but growth, improvement, and rewarding performances that she landed leading roles in. Everything was going better than expected, but when would her life make a turn for the worst? If one would consider living as a vampire as worse.
It wasn’t long within the treasured success that Ambrosia would meet her vampiric lover. John Sanguis — an alluring, attractive man that didn’t need to compel any woman to get them to follow him to his bedroom, regardless of how creepily dark his room was. It was at a show in which John fell head over heels in love as her beauty flashed stronger and stronger with every spin, twirl and jump on a stage full of flowers. For Ambrosia, her life of success nearly outweighed her attraction to John, and he loved the chase. It seemed as if it were a normal relationship, despite his presence only being noted on cloudy days, or at night, and the mild scent of blood that he brought everywhere. After months of rejection, she finally gave in to the love that she strongly resisted. Many more months followed of spontaneous trips, nights of love and fine dining, and being a truly spoiled girlfriend, but a vampire can never hide their true identity forever.
Slowly, Ambrosia faded from the life of a dancer and began to devote nearly all her time into John, feeling no need to worry since he had riches upon riches. With beautiful mansions, not just within Salem, Massachusetts, but almost everywhere, she felt comfort with finances. The suspicions became more and more fitting the more Ambrosia got to know John, and thus, the question finally came up. More-so brought up as a joke than anything, the truth was eventually told, but in such a better manner than being found feeding. John poured his heart out to Ambrosia and begged her not to leave, but she had no intentions of doing so, instead turning around to ask to make their love permanent through marriage. John had other motives in mind since she suggested marriage, though she denied living as a vampire at first.
At this moment in time, Ambrosia ran through the many questions any growing adult would ask: am I doing the right thing, is this what I want, what will my parents think? Casting aside all worries and remembering that she feels safest within his arms, she naively accepted his offer and suffered the transformation, but out of love and lust for a man that she would willingly spend the rest of eternity with. After her transformation, she began to enjoy the life of a vampire, though she had a rough time passing the rabid phase. They lived as such a fierce duo, training her to be as capable as possible, and teaching her about the supernatural world and how to defend against hunters.
Ambrosia began to learn more about John, a vampire that lived much longer than expected. A pilgrim that journeyed to the new world and never found a love as strong as he had for Ambrosia. John was a leader of a coven of vampires within Salem, teaching Ambrosia the many duties that he had to keep the coven prospering. This new lifestyle came fast to Ambrosia, but she learned it all efficiently in a timely fashion. She filled the shoes of the very desirable role of the mistress to John Sanguis, a well-respected vampire by the coven and many other supernaturals.
Supernaturals had a habit of stirring up drama which lead to destructive battles by misunderstandings, hyperboles, and boredom. During a harsh fight between John’s coven and an opposing vampiric coven, Ambrosia was unexpectedly stabbed in the heart by a stake which lead to a crucial death of the coven. John, horrified by the event, brought her back to the mansion and fled the scene immediately, keeping her body within his corridors until he could properly find any way to fix this devastating event. It took many days of trial and error before he found a witch capable of performing black magic to properly bring her back to life.
The witch performed a ritual to call upon the devil to make a pact with John to exchange services. A life with consistent offerings on every full moon in exchange of granting Ambrosia her vampiric life back. John agreed passionately, thinking of it as nothing in order to get Ambrosia back to life.
Ambrosia was unaware of what pact he made, living on as if nothing happened. It wasn’t until John’s anger got the best of him and he went out to seek revenge for his changed lifestyle. It's true what they say about love and what it can do to a man, or in this case, a vampire. Journeying alone to the opposing coven that housed the killer, he searched for a vengeful kill that would fulfill his need and bring his peace back. Making such a rash decision lead to an unfair battle of pain, torture, and eventually death. His head was rolled out to the steps of John's Coven, only to be found by his now widowed lover.
Ambrosia, seeming to be in a constant panic from the petrifying event, could not find any peace. She couped herself up only to be faced with the devil who explained her situation and demanded for Ambrosia to properly fulfill the payment in order for her survival. That was her first night in which her blood was drawn for the sacrifice, waking up exhausted and fatigued, but surprisingly anew. Ambrosia saw this second chance of life as a blessing -- as a purpose. Though she had thoughts of suicide, it was with a vengeful heart and a protective mindset that brought Ambrosia to who she is today. She accepted herself as a widow, a reborn vampire, and a leader. She was announced the new leader of the coven, and she willingly gave sacrifices every full moon to ensure her survival. What motivates her now is to help her coven as best she can with the loss of John, and to find revenge for killing her true love.
And so became Ambrosia Sanguis.
It’s true that the longer you live, the more secrets you’ll acquire. For Ambrosia, she tries, yet struggles, to be an open book. Among her secrets, one of all should not be broadcasted nor discovered. Ambrosia is a vampire reborn by black magic, thus, her re-gifted life of immortality and vampirism must be repaid. Each full moon, Ambrosia must provide a sacrifice of blood, be it by human, witch, werewolf, etc., and the subject must be living and present during the event of the offering. Depending on the victim, would depend on the survival: humans never survive, witches and vampires have low chances of survival, and werewolves always survive. If there is not a sacrifice at hand, Ambrosia must use herself and withstand a gruesome night of draining blood, only to wake up weakened, but she will always survive.
To add to this, Ambrosia holds a corridor that contains several human subjects in which her coven feeds from, her targets being those that roam the streets too late at night, and those that have the least connections around Salem. Though it’s hard to grab sufficient subjects that fit these standards, but she will always go to great extremes to make sure that her coven is properly fed. After housing a human for as much time as she can, she releases them just before their death, though with a method of making them suffer from memory-loss.
When Ambrosia inherited a coven of individuals that she grew to love as her family, she felt obligated to be a proper leader, going to great extremes to ensure the safety and the health of every vampire that the coven housed. This obligation has made Ambrosia dedicated to protect and provide, especially to those that are dependent on her. Being someone that acts as a motherly figure, she surprisingly shows a great amount of distrust and inconsideration to those that have no real relation to her, and to those that aren’t vampires. Her coven is what she cares about, and nothing more. In addition to this, Ambrosia has a habit of accepting new vampires into her coven in an attempt to save them from the rabid nature that will get them killed, or expose the community.
Ambrosia is strategic in nature, causing her to constantly rethink decisions and actions, and to plan ahead whether it’s something important or completely arbitrary. This goes along the lines of her manipulative trait, being an individual that manipulates others into doing what she wishes. With the added talent of compelling, Ambrosia has a habit of manipulating people into doing what she wants.

Thank you for all the interest everyone! :) I'm going to give it a day or two longer to see if I can gather anymore interest before posting the OOC and opening up for character sheets!
The year in which it all began. The witch hunters came to town to rid of the growing witch community with dedication and fearlessness. Amidst the dark rituals and petrifying spells, the witch hunters stopped at nothing and fought mercilessly to give proper consequences to the unwanted, demonic force. A body of individuals practicing devilish, black magic casted friends and family against each other, tainting the air and setting the atmosphere of Salem, Massachusetts. What was thought to be an end of this supernatural advancement in history, was only the beginning of a better understanding of a realm of beings that have only been rumored to be true. As time went on, the witch trials that began soon became scarce and it was announced finished just to bring peace to the people of Salem, but any smart person would feel the cold, dark air that permanently contaminated such a beautiful place.
The existence of supernatural beings were kept secret, but Salem, Massachusetts housed them all. It would be unrealistic to believe that each rabid werewolf or demonic witch kept their wicked race a secret; stories would often reach out to the people when sudden deaths and cold-blooded events would stir up — but there was always a cover-up, an alibi, a false story. It wasn’t just the supernaturals that worked to keep themselves secret, but the community itself was to be protected from the knowledge of their existence to save for an empty, deserted town to only be filled with a potential, growing force. Witch hunters became scarce since the powers of the supernatural realm only grew with time, evolving fast to fully reach their true potential. It took a skilled individual to really take down a creature of the night. In these days, it is said that it takes one to kill one.
For several decades, they worked hard to keep their kin in check, excusing the occasional instances in which a werewolf would run rabid, a vampire would feast, or a witch would use an innocent for a sacrifice. It was a peculiar lifestyle, working to be a secret and not letting one’s supernatural abilities get the best of them. Although, there were feuds between the community. Perhaps it was for sport to save them from boredom, especially with a strong desire to properly exercise the skills of such powerful bloodlines. The voodoo witches rivaled the witch covens, the werewolf packs rivaled the vampire covens, and the witch hunters were now out to extinguish them all.
Today, casting aside all rivalries, all reverence, and all differences between each vile race, a coming shift was felt among each person within the community. The supernaturals were becoming too comfortable, too prideful, and it was nearing a time in which a proper, threatening force were to come to eliminate them all. The mystery remains unsolved and perhaps it was the paranoia-induced fears among foretellers of a coming armageddon that ceased all civil wars and petty battles. A silence has stirred up and many lose sleep during the night(or day).
Bad omens are experienced by everyone within the community. Whether it be strange symbolic writings produced in the strangest of places, or the death of a supernatural by unknown causes, or rabid supernaturals that roam endlessly trying to kill. Mind control, unknown writings, peculiar symbols, repetitive visions of the beginning of an end — all of these factors introduced a fear for a cataclysmic era within the supernatural realm. But what is the solution? Should this be a matter to be feared? Is this simply a scare? The signs are apparent and the fear to be had was appropriate, even for the strongest supreme witch, pack leader, or coven leader.
Where does the average hunter stand in such a situation in which they are being aided, yet still threatened? To kill just one supernatural calls for a destructive battle, so to kill them all in an act of genocide would cause terror a great length outside of the community. Should the safety of the people be one to question? Is this force supporting the cause of eliminating supernaturals or is it a mere war of sport and games from a powerful figure?
It is now that a rising force is being welcomed, instituting a diversity of races, packs, and covens, to build some sort of agreement to educate and protect one another from what is to come. Consisting of several strong assets, this force seeks to build a safe haven and to also establish a long awaited, and necessary, band of individuals to ensure peace within the community. Whatever you may call it, only those with open minds choose to participate. Many cannot cast aside their differences, choosing to ignore the concept or even retaliate this treaty. The choice is yours. Will you band together as a community and defend against the intimidating force to come, or will you keep to your foul pack or iniquitous coven? Will you protect your loved ones, or stick to yourself? The fate of your life is in your hands, as it always has been, in Salem, Massachusetts.

So, this is your classic supernatural RP taking place in, none other than, Salem, Massachusetts! I tried my best to make this as different as possible, trying to stray away from such mainstream, supernatural concepts! To summarize the plot — it is essentially a mystery to the players. A coming oblivion is foreseen by many and the rumors are spreading very fast that supernaturals are to watch their backs from a realm-ending terror. I don’t want to reveal what it is that will be threatening the realm, but that just adds to the fun of the mystery! ALSO, I’m new to GMing, so it’d be cool if ya’ll would be patient with me. If anyone has any questions, feel free to ask!
For now, I'm only looking to see if this catches anybody's eye! If I have a good group of players, then I'll definitely kick this off! My idea starts out with a meeting between the supernatural entities, probably just the leaders though. This was called to try to provide clarity and understanding of the signs they've all been given. In the mean time, they are to try and set aside their differences and century-long quarrels to try and come up with a solution for the situation at hand.

He felt like a mirror, the way he smiled just as she did, and just as wide, too. Gus couldn’t fight the urge to mimic her pleasant equanimity, though he could depict that the situation was felt to be equally as awkward for her. Gus began to ignore the other presence that joined their table, fixated on the way Vivian smiled and the way she replied so cheerfully to her close friend. Gus’ smile slowly faded as he was dismissed from their conversation.
Hopefully he would be able to make a friend like that here.
His surroundings began to overflow into him. Vivian’s spell seemed to begin to fall short once he turned his head to register the environment he was now in. Olympus Academy housed many talented, respectable students that all posed a threat to Gus’ plan to become the new hot shot of the academy. With his objectives derailed by the realization of the school’s bright student body, he quickly tried to meld together newer and better goals for his stay here. While competitiveness is embedded in his well-being, he sought to not turn to that for satisfaction as he knew he would only end up with disappointment and failure.
For a moment, Gus sat blankly, tapping his fingertips against the cool surface of the table that was garnished in muffin crumbs and eraser shavings. He quickly put his journal and pencil in his backpack, offering Vivian a smile before chiming into their conversation.
“Well, Vivian, it was very nice to meet you. I actually gotta go figure out my roommate situation, too—Mom doesn’t like that I have a girl roommate,” he shrugged, “But maybe I’ll see you around.”
To save from succumbing to her compelling aura, he quickly got up and left after one last nod at her. He didn’t look back, as bad as he wanted to, in order to get one last glimpse of her smile before potentially never seeing her again. Olympus Academy couldn’t be that big though, so he hoped for the time he would run into her again, and maybe not get interrupted again.
With long strides, he was out the door in seconds.
Hey! I'm completely amazed by your work and I love how everything comes out! I was first impressed with your aesthetic and your character sheets, but further impressed by your writing as well! Anywho, I wanted to put this here just in case you were still taking requests and wanted to do a lil' somethin' somethin' for me? :)
request type. // Banner for character~! stock and images. // So I was hoping to get a banner for my totally rad character! I'm super conflicted on which photos/gifs to use for him, but I'll just leave some for you and let you make your spin on it! :) Here's a still photo that I was hoping to use with maybe some cool gifs/color tones of black/red/orange? Here's a gif of him too if it'd be easier, or if you could use both then that'd be so cool~! size. // defaulted. text. // Augustus Evans misc. // So he's a son of Hades in a roleplay I'm doing, so I was wondering if you could maybe use some stuff from the collection that you have that could help personify that in the header? :)
If you find that the images I gave you are difficult to work with then I can for sure give you some other options as well! <3
Night. That’s what Vivian was going to say, Gus was sure. It’s strange how first impressions work, let alone how much could be assumed after only a few minutes of interaction. There were many things he assumed of her, and they came to him quickly from his desperation to make a potential friend at his new school. From the start, her presence was undeniably cheerful and Gus couldn’t help but feel the comfort from her company, but her further actions casted such a mixture of feelings. He knew that this school was different, but the students were just like any other teen from the looks of it, so he assumed that the muffin was some kind of hangover remedy of hers. Gus’ first conjecture was that she must’ve been one of those cute girls that everyone adored—for her quirkiness, her humor, her presence, and best of all: her smile. But the label he so-quickly placed on her began to form into that of Olympus Academy’s popular blonde schoolgirl. Partying at night, especially when they’re not even finished with the first week of school, texting in the middle of their conversation, incredibly rude is all Gus could think—it wasn’t anything Gus hadn’t seen before.
Regardless of whomever she may be on the inside, her guise could not be ignored, nor could it be dismissed over such a trivial gesture. Gus has always been quick to decide whether someone were to be his friend or not, to save him the time and effort of getting to know a person and ending in the possibility of disappointment. His theory is that you should always be yourself, through and through. Any artificial personality one would present at first meeting is not somebody he’d wish to associate himself with. Nevertheless, there was something about Vivian that made it so he couldn’t get up and leave, as he normally would if he were in this predicament with anybody else.
At the mention of her brother, he turned around to see if her beauty and charm ran in the family. He was presented with three guys, probably upperclassmen by the looks of their maturity, but perhaps they were like Gus in which they looked older than they really were. One was tall and fair-skinned with icy blue eyes that appeared vibrant and beautiful. Even from where he was sitting, he could see their glow and feel an unanticipated chill from their glacial-like attribute. The other two matched Vivian’s character more, as they both had similar features, both possessing a similar presence to hers. One in particular, dressed in all pink, had a peculiar beauty to him. Except it was all attraction the flamboyant blonde had, and Vivian’s beauty shone more complex than something so comparingly simple. The other—golden haired and masculine combined with a much similar presence to Vivian’s, though it was accompanied by a stoic intimidation, not stemming from competitiveness, but more of a protective nature—that seemed more plausible.
And for a moment, Gus could feel a sense of insecurity building in him. Perhaps her lack of interest was because Gus wouldn’t be a hotshot at this school like he was previously. Maybe what she saw in him was nothing compared to the six foot, greek demi-gods that walked with such confidence and grace. Regardless, Gus wasn’t one to fight for the attention of someone, so she gave her the opportunity to flee from the increasingly awkward conversation. Turning back to her, his bold, brown eyes trying their best to match the charm of her ensnaring gaze, he spoke, “I promise that I’m probably not as fun to be around, if you’d rather go over there.”
And just like that, Gus’ plan was foiled by yet another face of unfathomable beauty. It seemed all demi-gods had the body and face worthy of magazine covers. This girl in particular seemed close to Vivian, maybe even considered her best friend by the way she was freaking out over their separation. Gus remained straight-faced throughout her arrival, but was, again, faced with a similar greeting that Vivian had to Gus. ‘Daughter of Demeter’, Gus thought to himself, another person proud to announce whom their godly parent was.
In response, Gus left his introduction just as simple as it was before, “I’m Gus.”
