Some people need to make a hard choice when deciding which two karaoke streams they want to listen to. I have no such weakness: I have two ears for a reason.

The hard part about trying to play some politically savvy mastermind is the assumption that the world operates off real world politics and not your DM’s politics.

Don't put too much stock in prophesies. At best they're full of shit, but more often than not they're one of those self-fullilling kinds. Plan for what happens afterwards instead.

A character isn't deep or compelling just because you let them get hurt a lot, are always depressed, or do morally questionable things.

Bio

If you're here either you're wondering what I'm doing cause I need to post in your RP (In which case, calm yo tits, I'll get around to it), or you want to know who I am. So let's begin.

I'm a college age asian kid who has more heart than he has senses. I'm still working out this whole "adulthood" thing, so until then I just do what I feel I must. As far as personality and traits go, I'm not one for boasting. So if there's anything redeeming about myself you'd have to figure it out in person or by word-of-mouth. Generally however I'm rather perverted, in the best and worst ways. nothing is too much until I've crossed the line, and that just means I've started.

As far as Roleplays I like, I have a thing for fantasy, though I'm also good for some types of sci-fi, supernatural, Modern, and slice-of-life. If it's open and sandbox, I'll probably join it. Never really been a romantic, I often chose to sexualize any notion of romantic encounters I come across. I generally write at Casual quality, though I have no issues with Free-Level Rp/Players and I can hold my own in Advance.

Most charmanders have a fire on their tail to char their food, or at least a parent to help along the process. These are just strange times on top of unusual circumstances.
@Lugia

There’s just one slightly obscure trigger you need before you c an spot up some embers. I’ll admit it seems weird once you find out but it makes sense to me. I’ll give you a hint: you need to fuel the fire.
If it was everyone’s intention to leave, they’d have to figure out a way to bypass the pond sitting at the bottom of the hill. Nathan’s attempt to find a low branch would unfortunately be fruitless; the lowest branch was at least seven feet off the ground and nowhere near the cave entrance, being located across the pond. There were some shrubs and bushes but those too were behind the water. Vi’s attempt to illicit surprise from Celina gave her a warm and sweet feeling, like eating a sweet melty chocolate. As for Celina herself, she’s find that the rain didn’t stick to her wings like yesterday, though the wind was occasionally pushing her around. Sure enough if the winds picked up she still wouldn’t be strong enough to resist it.

Celina scouting wouldn’t provide much insight as the wind got much stronger the higher up she went. Even as she tried to fly around there was t anything immediately useful until she would spot a fallen tree. Seemed like yesterday’s lightning struck this tree and toppled it over. The bulk of the truck was big enough to easily bridge the lake gap, but surely would weigh a hundred times more than the swablu. Alternatively there were smaller and more manageable branches and sticks scattered around, but how strong they’d be is suspect. Some of the branches might be able to hold up some of the lighter Pokémon, but the constant rain would make the sticks very soft.

A thunderclap echoed out as the rain picked up again. Won’t be long before the storm awakens once more to bring trouble and strife. But before the storm would come, the cave Pokémon and especially Celina would see Something approach them from the skies. It was hard to see through the rain but as it got closer they would soon find a large flying pelican being attacked by a swarm of crows. It was barely out speeding the flock, however the injuries on its wings and body was notably slowing it down. Not to mention they seemed to be flying very low to the ground. The Pokémon wouldn’t notice the crew in the cave nor Celina, but they were close enough to perhaps serve as a distraction. Or just hide and avoid the trouble. Suddenly one of the crowd got in front of the pelican and blew a huge cloud of haze, slowing the pelican down enough for the rest of the swarm to overtake the big bird.
More stones struck Orchid’s body, cutting his flesh and drawing blood, but he cared very little for these things. As his allies were cutting down enemies he charged towards the nearest kobold and attacked with reckless abandon, this time aiming to slice the kobold’s head clean off. During the throws of rage he had forgotten exactly how many enemies that were suppose to be here; he vaguely remembered five but he was certain they’ve killed at least four. Did one get away or had he simply been distracted by violence that he lost track of one of them? Regardless Orchid would go seeking out any survivors while he was still conscious.

”Next!”

Ten foot gaps as in he needs to jump them or ten feet is just how far the kobolds are from him? Either way working on a post now.
@Hekazu

Cool, could Orchid reach the nearest Kobold in a single 30 feet move? If not I might have to throw a javelin instead.
@Duthguy

It’s possible. Though instances like this is where “knowing it’s possible” is not the same as “knowing how to do it”. After all does Nathan really understand how exactly he’s absorbing neutrients from the soil? And how would he do the same to other Pokémon?

Also your health is restore, in the sense that you don’t feel so beat up anymore. There is t really any numerical measurement in which I’m keeping your health up with. For the most part so long as your injuries aren’t debilitating wounds damage is healed over time. Getting tackled enough times will knock you out and leave you dizzy when you wake up, but taking a few knocks and staying on your feet will let you shake it off after some rest. Getting hit by a critical or elemental weakness will leave much more difficult scars to heal.
I guess it's just the expectation dragging down my mood when I gotta do serious Casual or advance stuff, you know? That pressure to always "Post at least three paragraphs" or some such. In free there is no such restrictions, but nor is there a restriction about posting too much, so I can feel free to post any amount I want. I think there's some sort of saying along the lines of "a plant grows tallest in an open field not a garden" or something like that.
I’ll let you know when you guys actually learn more than four moves.
@SleepingSilence

As I said before, knowledge is an important part of trying to learn a new technique. But knowing something is possible is way different from knowing how to do it. Technically Trevor could skip Ember and try to go straight into Fire Blast. Obviously at his level it would take him forever; by the time he learns Fire Black as a charmander one of y’all is probally going to evolve. Additionally a lot of these moves serve as the building blocks to more advanced moves: ember obviously leads to various Fire breath type attacks, but smokescreen could also lead to learning useful moves like haze or smog. And while you might think smog isn’t one of Chamander’s move, it’s possible thanks to the fact he can learn smokescreen.

Another barrier to learning moves are different elemental attacks. For example, how would Lance know how to do a Slash, Night Slash, and Dragon Claw when they’re all basically just him slashing someone? Different elemental abilities but simple slashing in the air calling your attacks won’t let you learn or train that specific move. Hence the need for tutors who can explain the specific (which I’ll make up if/when it’s needed).

As for training moves themselves, frankly all of them work best if you actually use them on someone. Sure you can just go through the motions and free form practice them, but it’s not as effective as using them on an actual Pokémon. If you’re the type who wants to grow strong faster you best bet is to go after other Pokémon and fighting them. With all the risks that implies. Or finding a good teacher. With all the risks that implies.
