Current To those I RP with, I haven't dropped off of the face of the earth, just had a mental health crash but am recovering. Now to catch up on posting.

The worst thing about mental illness is you have to look after yourself a disgusting amount. I know it's the only way to actually be in a fit state to look out for others, but it still feels wrong.

Judging by the Internet's definitions of introversion and extraversion, you'd think everyone's either an extreme hermit or a party animal with no in between.

Bio

A frazzled British thirtysomething cat mum with something of a tea addiction.

I like a wide range of RP genres, but have two absolute favourites: Pokemon and magical girls. (If someone manages to combine the two, I'll be VERY happy!) I post fairly regularly, but sometimes shit mental health days crop up - if that causes any delays, I'll try to resume posting ASAP.

✿ Florence Hadley ✿

Location: Greenhaven

@Dusksong

Florence had known all along there was a chance Vernie wouldn't be anywhere nearby. Knowing, though, wasn't the same as accepting. The news still brought a fresh stab of pain. Raw, unbearable pain.

The hope she'd let build up, along with the strength it had given her, faded away. She hunched over, shaking her head, still unprepared - unable - to face the truth. "But..." she whispered. "B-but... it seemed like we were so close..."

Disappointment, guilt, and sickening worry roiled through her. "I failed her..." Tears choked the words. "She... She was so excited about setting out, and... and n-now... Who knows what's happening to her!" She couldn't bring herself to think about what her closest friend could be going through right now. "If only I'd been thinking... if-if only I hadn't dragged her into that mission right away..." Instead of being able to say anything more, she broke down sobbing.

Had starting out as a trainer been the biggest mistake she'd ever made?

♥ Ellanor "Ella" Beaufort ♥

Location: Greenhaven

@Dusksong

Ella sat helplessly as she watched Florence break. There was no other way to describe it - seeing the hope leave her eyes, seeing her crumple, hearing her speech drowned by tears.

"No... Florence, no. It wasn't your fault," Ella said, knowing all the while how unlikely she was to comfort her friend. She rummaged through her bag, and, unable to find a tissue, handed Florence one of the brightly-coloured, boldly-patterned rags she kept around for sewing projects. "We know it's possible to beat those poachers. We all managed to get those other Pokemon out, so we'll find Vernie, and we'll do the same for her."

It was just the three of them now, Vivian having gone home to support her family and Petals after their ordeal. Even so, Ella was prepared to help Florence in any way she could, and presumably, so was Leisy... but how would they, when they didn't have the slightest idea where to search?

@Dusksong Argh! Sorry for keeping you waiting. Some stuff came up, but it's all sorted now. Working on a post.
@OtomostheCrazy Yay!! Missed you *hugs*
@OtomostheCrazy Well, Rheese is about to battle Lan (Heckno and I did the Showdown battle, and he's writing up the post). So Deneb can do the gym battle right afterwards if you want.

As for Alexis, it's still the same day so she'd likely still be out training.
Jessamyn "Jess" Bailey

Jess couldn't sleep. All sorts of possible scenarios played through her mind, as terrifying as any nightmare. She had no idea what was really going on, but the uncertainty didn't help in the slightest. All night, traces of fear crept through to her from Roxy like a cold draft through a broken window. The empath stared up at the ceiling, that fear growing as she worried about the anchor. She wished there were some way to help, but how could she when she didn't know what was happening in the first place?

It was around five in the morning when she heard Roxy get up. Knowing she had no choice but to do the same, she dragged herself out of bed, showered and dressed. "Morning," she mumbled as she shuffled into the main room, struggling to look Roxy in the eye, secrets thickening the barrier between them. The anchor surely wouldn't want to talk about whatever had kept her awake.
@KatherinWinter Sorry about the delay, some difficult stuff came up, but with any luck it'll get sorted out soon. Will have a post up later.
@The One Edited, hopefully that sets the scene better.
@The One I went with that because Quilo was heading towards the entrance (the idea being that they weren't that far from it), but I can edit the post if you want.
Oh dear, somebody might have to step in...
❆ Quilo ❆

As soon as Quilo felt the air against his scaly skin, he knew he was in some way connected to it. Despite his confusion, a thrill surged through him as he pushed at the remaining shell of his egg with his head. Frosty shards fell away, until he burst out, nearly tripping over a rock in his excitement.

Steadying himself, he peered through the darkness of the cavern. He couldn't wait to get out... once he found the way out, that was. The wyvern scampered around in a clumsy half-run, half-bounce, spreading his wings to glide every now and again.

At a familiar sound, he stopped and listened, staring down a tunnel filled with jagged shapes sticking out from the walls and floor - crystals. Right at the end was an egg, purple and jewel-like, splintering just as his own had done. He ducked as a spike-covered wing pummelled through the shell, sending fragments hurtling through the air and clattering to the ground.

When he looked up, he saw he was no longer alone. Eyes widening, he bounded towards the rather startled-looking hatchling.

"Heyyy! Want to play? Let's head out! C'mon, the way out can't be far! Let's see who gets to it first!"

✧ Petronia ✧

Smash. Smash. Smash. With each blow from Petronia's stony wings and the pointed gem on her forehead, the crack in the egg's shell widened. Finally, it shattered outwards, sending the hatchling stumbling into an unfamiliar world.

Without her protective casing, the first thing the little dragon felt was vulnerability. She crawled back, yelping at a sudden sting in her foot as she stepped on a piece of her egg. The next thing she registered was an odd sensation thrumming through her body, the flesh around her crystalline protrusions tingling.

There was someone else in this cavern. Someone like her. But that didn't mean she could trust them.

Something in her reacted to the darkness, and the gems jutting from her body gave off a soft light. Great, she thought with a jolt of panic. Now others in here would be able to easily find her. She had no idea how to dim the glow. She didn't even know how she'd done it in the first place.

Peering from behind a crystal formation, she cried out, drawing back from the white blur that barrelled towards her. Whatever it was seemed ready to pounce at any moment. She lashed with her claws, earning a shriek. The other dragon skittered to the side, staring down in shock at the blood dripping from a row of gashes on his shoulder.

"Get lost," Petronia snarled, spitting out the words. She scurried away, trying to hide behind another cluster of crystals jutting from the ground, nerves taut as she kept alert to any signs of approaching threats.
