Bio

Current GM of World of Light. When it comes to writing, there's nothing I love more than imagination, engagement, and commitment. I'm always open to talk, suggestion, criticism, and collaboration. While I try to be as obliging, helpful, and courteous as possible, I have very little sympathy for ghosts, and anyone who'd like to string me along. Straightforwardness is all I ask for.

Looking for more personal details? I'm just some dude from the American south; software development is my job but games, writing, and trying to help others enjoy life are my passions. Been RPing for over a decade, starting waaaay back with humble beginnings on the Spore forum, so I know a thing or two, though I won't pretend to be an expert. If you're down for some fun, let's make something spectacular together.

So, I've been thinking it over all day, and I've reached a decision. I'm stepping out. I've been feeling unmotivated to post, the RP is moving a little fast for my tastes, you've got people who want to take my place, etc. etc. I'm sure you'll survive without me, but I'm sorry I'm leaving so soon. Seeya later, guys. I'll remove my stuff from all the Docs.
That is a serious bummer. I wish you had consulted me first. Having available replacements is no justification for quitting; if anything, competition should inspire one to strive harder. With the others it was easy because they never posted, but you were a valued part of this RP. Our characters have memories of you and experiences. Does that all become dust? The best way I can think of to fix this is to have it discovered that Indigo's transcripts were forged, and that an incoming character replaces him. @Tearstone, I require acknowledgement of your continued presence. @Mamasushi and @SevenStormStyle, which one of you will be taking his place?
@Prince of SeraphsAll winning entries in the senior-team-creation contests will be featured later.
@Lugubrious: Done with my entry for the contest, however I'm blatantly disregarding this: <Snipped quote> because a), I'd rather not win than to and hell will freeze over before I post a deus ex machined cliffhanger, and b) you kinda contradict yourself there: <Snipped quote> so I just picked one that suited my story better
It's not a contradiction because the motives remain hidden to your character until the traitor explains them. There has probably been a reason for the traitor for a long time, but your character hasn't known about them or at the very least isn't expecting an attempt of their life, so it's not a deus ex machina either, because it doesn't come from nowhere. @Harinezumikouken Everything seems to be in order. @Skyrte Gotcha, thanks for noticing that.
I'm guessing its Prince of Seraph's cue?
This should be pretty interesting I hope. Current Name: Huibao Shenghuo Current Gender: Female Current Age: 26 Current Species: Supernatural Reborn Current Appearance: Personality: Huibao is a socialite and an extrovert. She enjoys being around others, talking with them, and working with them, and can be an excellent team player when required to do so. However, she is also rather self-centered, dismissive, and, at times, rather mean. If anything, her transition from old life to new has exacerbated her propensity for degrading others. She is openly contemptuous of people not in control of their own selves, be they thin, fat, weak, fearful, aggressive, addicted, miserable, or unlucky. It's also pretty plain that she doesn't respect women as much as men. Having been somewhat this way in her previous life, she is continually in denial about her new self, and attempts to ignore all of her flaws and differences. Despite said flaws, she can still be an enjoyable person to be around, and be compassionate to those in desperate need. Her viewpoint stems from a simple desire to be the best she can, and a wish that everyone else should be the best they can, as well. When she believes that somebody is holding themselves back from being their best, she loses her respect for that person. Huibao is very secure in her self, whether out of pride for what she once was, denial for what she is, or both, and derides others not for her sake but -in her eyes- those she picks on. Her denial extends more to others than to her self, for while she is certainly unhappy with her new self, she is totally unwilling to let anyone else use it against her. As such, it is likely that her gung-ho confidence will never be shattered. In a similar vein with her past hypocrisies, she hates bullies and sadists. In fact, she's far more brutal to those who are cruel to others; after all, the cruel ones are those who purposefully keep others from being their best. In short, she's uniquely hard-shelled, self-deluded, and hypocritical, but isn't really a bad person at heart. Unique Skillset(s): Huibao is a master of Bear-style Kung Fu, able to use linear centerline shifts and direct line reinforcement to make the most of body physics in order to fight with both speed and power. In addition, she is also both very strong and very heavy, with an expansive layer of fat over a thick layer of muscle throughout her body, and can take a lot of punishment. Soul Relic and Ability:Huibao's forearm braces. When Huibao has them on, their basic function allows her to negate magical attacks by striking at an incoming spell. The braces' special function, however, is to absorb magic that she comes into contact with, transforming her forearms and allowing her to use that magic for as long as she wants, though of course more time means more soul loss. Former Name:Drew Biely Former Age: 21 Former Gender: Male Former Species: Human Former Appearance: History: Drew was always an outgoing jock. Starting at a young age at the encouragement of his father and older brother, he learned and excelled at football, and on the playgrounds and tarmacs made many friends that he carried through middle school and high school. While a perfectly good companion to his friends, Drew developed a superiority complex in regard to people with less mental and physical fortitude, especially the unfit. Entering college on an athletic diploma, he went through his first two years weighing the college social life with a troublesome academic one. He participated in all that was manly—arm-wrestling, running, drinking, and more, pretty much whatever was asked of him, though he never stooped to anything more illegal than underage drinking. He held criminality to be a sign of mental incompetence and weakness, neither of which he could allow to fall upon him. In short, he was a fairly average guy, albeit with some rather unconventional viewpoints, and he was on his way to a fairly average life. Unfortunately, it seemed that destiny had other plans for Drew. While on his way home from a game, a tired Drew was surprised by a texting SUV driver plowing her way through a red light. Too fatigued to react in time, Drew was T-boned by the other vehicle, and the force of the impact slammed his head against the steering wheel, jarring his head. When the airbag deployed at point-blank, the 200 mph force broke Drew's neck, killing him instantly.
Ah, this post was made before you edited your last one. Apologies.

So, one quick question regarding the contest. Given that it's a noncanon story anyway, is it something that actually has to happen? For example, could a dream be used as a framing device for character behaviors that wouldn't be likely to happen in the canon timeline?
I...guess? If you think you can pull it off.
I've started work on my own sheet.

There's actually a good excuse for this. For some bullcrap reason the forum only allows to co-GMs per roleplay. I elected to leave you out because you've done the least GMing out of the three, sorry about that. Don't think less of you for it, but that's just the fact. If the forum allowed more I'd have you up there.
@Prince of Seraphs @NarayanK You both are correct. I will go back and specify on both accounts to make sure everything is clear as crystal.
