I sometimes hear about someone having skeletons in their closet. Ok? How do you know they're still in there? You can't just assume a skeleton is gonna stay still. This is your house, not a graveyard.

With a single movement, the sun was coming down. If it was allowed to fall here, it would incinerate them all.

There was no time for her to reach the one that had prepared it, and Achilles, being the fastest hero, had made his attack against it before the nature of their protection had begun to clarify. Still, being the fastest hero, it should have been possible for him to do away with his weapon and attack again, driving the offender back. In that case, she would put her faith in the abilities of a hero trained by another famed teacher.

How backwards. How arbitrary.

On that subject, it was clear to her, now. The surge in power from Chiron's Master, the transition from Gin to FUJIMURA, could only have been the result of-

"I see. A set of numbered rules."

Not nearly as bad as she had expected. Very nearly respectable, and she hadn't even met the man.

"I apologize for not visiting the bar when it was open. It seems there would have been much to observe." The second half of the comment was directed at the Lyaeus.

If Nikola Tesla was a brilliantly burning Star that forged humanity's path forward, she was the eternally burning Star that guarded humanity from behind. These mockeries of mankind did not belong. Their existence was wrong.

She would correct it, as she always did.

It was not a matter of dashing, charging, or rushing. Scáthach moved towards the Lyaeus who had aimed to bring madness onto the group. Its efforts had not bought it any time against her, as she had made use of Self-Suggestion even before the command of the Yakuza boss had filled the air. She was already two steps ahead.

Scáthach had already arrived next to the one who was attempting to destroy the glasses. A spear of bone appeared in her hand, and was thrusted with full force at the Lyaeus. It was not a Noble Phantasm release, but it was flew forward with deadly accuracy-

-And discorporated half a foot from the Lyaeus' face.

The protections of these beings prevented runes of strength from being useful, but runes of speed remained effective for maneuvering. The spear-thrust could not be called a "wasted attack" as Scáthach continued with its momentum, bare handed.

The runes were deactivated at the last moment.

"Donnie, was it? Would that be short for something?"

A fist came from below, cracking into this "Donnie's" chin and retreated the instant the blow had landed. Strike, feint, strike, evade. Her Clairvoyance told her where the enemy would move, and her mastery of Martial Arts allowed her to decide on the correct response.

"As you can plainly see, humanity has no desire for anything you wish to bring upon them."

In that sense, she was two steps ahead. Even as often as she had fought in such ways before, the slightest hints of cool began to surface.

With a kick, it was sent flying across the ground. It was not a "finishing move." Before the Lyaeus could get its bearings, she was upon it once more, continuing the assault.

"Abandon this, now."

The awful feeling enveloped her, as Reiki felt it uniquely through each worm. An undeniably evil wrongness came from the beings that were swarming the city. This was her. The one central power had been replaced by many. However, numbers did not mean weakness.

There was no doubt. A threat to mankind.

"So to everyone who wishes to help me save this city and stand by my side, put your glasses on and let's get to it!"

Glasses? But she didn't wear-

Oh. He must have handed them to her while she was stunned. It seemed most of the people in the room had a pair, including her Lancer. Pretty stylish, as far as Reiki could tell. And there was a certain energy coming from them.

"Lancer, I want you to focus on supporting everyone here with your runes." Lancer was already moving.

As she donned the glasses, all became clear. She stood up straight and held her head high. It had always been her goal to stay strong in times of crisis, and so in the greatest crisis she would bring forth the greatest strength. "No offence to Benita, but there are much safer places out there from which to conduct an operation to seal that dome." Reiki exited the meeting room just behind Xerxes.

She would do her part, they all would, and the sun would rise again.

Air Squadrons

Above Fuyuki

The skies of Miyama and Shinto were abuzz that night. Surveillance was key with such a large number of powerful enemies about. But surveillance was not where the capabilities of these insects ended. A storm of rats, pidgeons, and bugs allowed for complete communication between any willing parties in the city.

Moreover, these mere insects had been given equipment by a slayer of gods.

Therefore, as the brave heroes fought against these Lyaeus, as they found that their weapons were just barely insufficient to finish off these foes with constantly restoring shields, the runestones would drop.

It was not merely the Pioneer of the Stars who was provided with this air support. Anyone who was already in the process of battling the Lyaeus would see burning stars fall from above toward their enemies at just the moment they prepared their own attack.

Around Fuyuki, the explosions began.

These new abilities, though, did not distract those assigned from their original purpose of surveillance. What were the additional one-hundred-and-one creatures getting up to?

Across the city, they would learn all they could.

"Lancer, I want you to focus on supporting everyone here with your runes."

She was already moving.

The feeling that had come from that bar had been perhaps the most dreadful thing she could recall experiencing. As one who defended humanity, she could identify such a threat immediately, although not by name.

When it was replaced by so many smaller sources, though...

I've seen worse

As a Servant, a shadow of her true self, she would certainly have to work together with the other heroes. Nonetheless, if it was just a large number of beings that did not belong, they would be overcome and driven back with time. Scáthach was a hero who forced out beings without the right to exist, and so it was only natural that it should be impossible for the being trapped under that stone to emerge while she was present.

Well, it would have been unwise to rely on that idea.

If this was not the location they were to stay in, then the best use for her runes would be enhancing the other fighters.

As "Lancer Prime" had already left, the next most battle-ready one was...

This man. His armour was high-quality, his bearing noble, and yet he seemed a bit unruly somehow. Regardless, if he had come to fight, she would make sure he didn't waste any time.

"You. Don't move for a moment." As she approached him, she produced something that looked like charcoal from a satchel. With that, she began inscribing the first rune of enhancement on the Servant's left pauldron. "This is to save the world."

She worked efficiently. Strength, and Endurance had already been inscribed, although they remained dormant for the moment. "I'll get to the rest of you soon enough."
Hey, I'm here as well!

Reiki could offer no response to the Servant who kicked down the door when he requested a Saber. When the meeting began, they would probably have to find a better system for referring to each other than by class. When the homunculus in the maid outfit stopped by her side, Reiki glanced over, as if expecting a message. When none came, she turned back to Dr. Kaveh.

He had chosen to hold his position, so she advanced.

...No, she had been thinking tactically for too long. He stood on the other side of the room, so she approached him politely, extending a hand. "Nice to meet you, Xerxes, I'm Reiki. Reiki Matou, as you've figured out."

In turn, she held out her hand to the sitting Archer. She would offer her respect to any Servant just as quickly as to a living person, and this Archer was living, in a sense. As she did so, she shot an instant's glance at Xerxes. Having been attacked previously by her bugs while his Berserker was present, he would know that she knew that this man was not his Servant. She would notify her allies, but there was no particular reason to out his deception at the moment, unless it proved to be a problem during the meeting.

"It seems like things are shaping up to be a friendly conference. Considering most of those here have tried to kill another at some point recently, a little money should be water under the bridge. On top of that, I was impressed with your conduct during the riots, Doctor, so please look past my bad first impression as well.

For the first time, Lancer was able to observe the building up close. It was an impressive piece of construction, especially when one considered the short time involved. As she understood it, the group of familiars her Master had sent to this place a few hours earlier had already dispersed, and they were to arrive in person to meet properly with the other parties in the war.

"Reiki Matou, returning. In person, this time, and with my Servant."

Scáthach held open the door as Reiki made her way inside. Her Master had chosen to wear a vibrant blue evening dress. Lancer followed immediately after, with a case of beer under one arm. She had been coerced into also wearing a fine dress for the evening. Reiki had described it as "fit for a queen", but she had no doubt been referring to a sort of queen with duties quite different from those of Lancer.

She offered no particular acknowledgement to anyone in the room, save for the blood-soaked man with the head of a horse. Her eyes lingered there. She had been made aware of his efforts. Admirable.

And yet, he was missing. That man was not something that could fully be appreciated through a karmic link, and so she would watch him carefully when he appeared.

Reiki, meanwhile was clearly focused on a number of individuals at once. Perfectly sensible, as she had no doubt observed each person here in much more detail than Lancer could hope to.

"This is a rather unsatisfying turnout so far, but I imagine most of the pairs will arrive in time. Meanwhile, are we going to hold our discussions crammed around some table, or are we going to enjoy the actual hot spring?"
I've decided to bow out of this one. Have fun, everybody!

Also, Assassin of Black is now an empty slot!
@Raineh Daze Did we lose EMIYA or Reflection's Archer?
I believe your Archer slots are all reserved, though.
