Multiverse RP (Multiple ideas)

@Crimson Flame Any specific kind of superhero setting you're looking for? Marvel? DC? Darkhorse? A little of everything?

What kind of RP mood are you in?

@Ammokkx Yeah, Yu-Gi-Oh! RP's are great in theory, but in practice, you find a lot of problems, specifically, you have 1 of 2 directions to take Duels in:

1) Make everyone play on the honour system
The problem with that is that you really need to have a pre-determined winner, or the duels just won't end, or someone will power-play to instantly win.

2) Play them out using Dueling Network
Which sounds good in theory, but then you realize that Yu-Gi-Oh! as a game is one of the most horrifically imbalanced mainstream games, meaning that one person in the game is guaranteed to have the most competitive deck (Even if it isn't actually competitive, but it's still the most viable one) meaning that there is no reason they would ever lose. Meaning that, most games force you to either play a competative deck (instead of something you'd ACTUALLY want to play) Or just accept that you will never win a single game throughout the RP.

I've tried to run a couple over the years, but they never work out. The only one i can think of that would work would be something like GX season 3, crossed with Digimon, where player use their creatures to fight each other.

Friendships

Sadly, all of my closest friends from the previous forum either now avoid me like the plague (Through nobodies fault except my own) or haven't logged in for at last 18 months.

What kind of RP mood are you in?

Have you ever thought "Boy, i really want this kind of RP, but i just can't be bothered to run it?" I find myself sat, thinking that a lot. So, i check in every so often, hoping to god that someone has made something along those lines. Usually it's a case of "I have a character i'd love to play, but there just isn't an RP going around that they would fit into, and i don't have enough of an idea for the story of an RP to make an Interest Check and run it myself."

Am i the only one who does this? If not, why not have a "Tag when you want a specific RP, but can't be bothered to make it yourself." thread?

Multiverse RP (Multiple ideas)

Been trying to get anything like this off the ground for the last 2 years and it seems to have constantly failed due to too few people being interested in different things. So, here's a few idea's for RP's that i've been thinking of getting going, because they all follow similar themes.

Kingdom Hearts

A re-imagining of the Kingdom Hearts mythos, pretty much focussing on trying to create an environment where people will be able to interact with their favourite Disney and Final Fantasy worlds and characters in new and interesting ways. Focussing on travelling between worlds and facing an insidious force that is looking to rule or destroy both.

Exiles

Insidious forces are always trying to rule over or destroy all of the earths of the multiverse, there's always something allowing them to try and do this, but for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. Where evil is allowed out, good is brought in to fight it. Beings who have been snatched from their world, whatever they were doing, doesn't matter. The being known as "The Broker" has taken you in order to do his bidding. He will give you back your life and world, but only if you cooperate.

Superhero World

The world is a strange place, full of aliens, wizards, robots, mutants, masterminds and everything inbetween. Some people have decided to stand up for what is right in the world, whereas others have decided "Fuck everyone else, i want it all! and i want it now!" On this world, anything goes, for both those who protect, as well as those who attack.

Digital Age

As humanity has evolved to the Digital Age, they had no way of knowing that the Digital Age would evolve itself. Now the question of what constitutes life has been cropping up more and more. Robots from other planets blending in with every day life, whole ecosystems of creatures born in a computer are clawing their way into the real world, robots created by humanity for our entertainment and companionship are becoming more like us than we like, far faster than we'd ever imagined.

Why pick just 1 fandom at a time? Any thoughts on any of these i'd like to hear about.

Understandable. So, are those "Past compatibility issues" a "Please don't make another application"? Or just something that brings up issues with this specific character sheet?
